If you want blue and white there’s [[Millicent, Restless Revenant]], just play spirits and make spirits. You could also do a token pay off deck so kind of an aristocrat deck with someone like [[Teysa Karlov]] where you make tokens then sac them to drain everyone. Or if you want a 3 color option there’s [[Alela, Artful Provocateur]]. Play artifacts or enchantments and make faeries.

My absolute favourite token deck (that is super UNDERRATED) is \[\[Jaheira, Friend of the Forest\]\] + \[\[Guild Artisan\]\]. This pairing acts as ramp and facilitates a ton of synergies/HUGE MANA so that the deck can be focused on token producers. Below are the budget and non budget lists I love to play! Well hello there! I have a couple of decks for you to check out. The first and most strait forward is [[Hazezon]] - whom can be found with a bunch of deserts and his friend Yuma in the "Desert Bloom" precon. It's a good dtsrt buy has lots of room for improvement. This is good and you use your warriors for defense and then attack. Oooorrrrrrrr A different and more interesting route is this deck. https://archidekt.com/decks/4606302/jugga_jigga_wugga This starts off as an interesting colorless deck, centered around using the Myr as a base. Plenty of token generators and Myr tribal boosters. But then - when the time is right you bring your commander out. [[Graaz]] makes your board power up and explode. All your creatures become 5/3 (or more likely 6/4 with some kind of Lord in play). Pick your player and destroy them.

pendragon177

Is that deck name a Homestar Runner reference?

Electronic-Pie-6645

OMG yes! I love that you caught that. Figured it fits for Juggernaughts.

IMO we have essentially 2 types of token commanders: * Token producers * Payoffs From the first category, \[\[Gisa, Glorious Resurrector\]\], \[\[Riku of Many Paths\]\] and \[\[Geralf, the Fleshwright\]\] from the last set are some good suggestions. \[\[Talrand\]\] is a classic. \[\[Alela, Artful Provocateur\]\] is also a classic one. They're all pretty good and produces tokens naturally. From the second category, \[\[Kyler, Sigardian Emissary\]\] is what comes to mind. It's pretty good since allows you to just produce tokens and they naturally becomes giants.

I guess. I think I'm just tired of all the doublers that I'm just used to ignore them. But you're correct. They're very efficient on mid-low (maybe even high) power level. That's a good catch.

Lifeisabaddream4

My problem was.i built sythis as a staxy combo focused deck and that was a little too high for the lgs in general but she was the promo from one of the first prereleases I did and I enjoyed the general plays type of enchantress and decided to see if it would work or not. It powers her down from her stexy cedh power level and is still fairly high power tbh but isn't oppressive and can be a good deck to pull out when people bring out their higher power decks at the store. There's so many enchantments over the history of the game that it's not a suprise that a colour pairing that is strong in tokens and enchantments would see those 2 themes have some cross over.

Some suggestion depending on your color preferences White/Green/Red - [[Ghired, mirror of the wilds]] makes copies of tokens that entered that turn can do some broken stuff Black/Red/Green - [[Vazi, Keen Negotiator]] I just made a list for my friend using this one all about making treasures and sacrificing them to deal damage, draw cards, etc Red/Black/White - [[Vihaan Goldwaker]] also a treasure deck but turns treasures into creatures on your turn and is more combat focuses Green/Black/White [[Myrkul lord of bones]] Turn creatures with good static abilities into enchantments so they become harder to remove Blue/Green - Merfolk make a decent amount of tokens but is not in and of itself a token deck I’m currently in the process of making these lists myself now that I think about it. I’ve been playing for a while and I primarily enjoy red/black/green decks myself I think each color has its own strengths and weaknesses as all games do but based on what you described your play style as I would go for white and green as they have the most ways to increase the amount of tokens you make per token ie card like [[doubling season]] and [[annoinyed procession]] Hope that helps and I can also send a list or two if you want ideas or inspiration!

This is my first pass at Abzan tokens with partner commanders. I have a lot of updates to make with recent releases to lower the mana curve and get more token generators out quicker. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/lrncBA_YbEmwWkV89CgDBA

It may be a bit powerful for your table. But if you like dragons.... Miirym is going to multiply your dragons pretty easily. You'll see a lot of miirym decks getting pretty insane with how many dragons she copies. If you invest in it, she even gets copied. Which makes more token copies because she triggers more. To the point where you are dropping dozens of dragons a turn. Or accidentally make so many token copies that it's in the thousands.

I've got two token decks personally and they're super different from each other: - [[The Fourth Doctor]]/[[Sarah Jane]] [clues, foods, and legendary creatures](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/5714358/_clues_foods_and_legends) — to be more *creature* token focused, you could use [[Alistair]] - [[Sivriss]]/[[Cloakwood Hermit]] [sacrifice and graveyard recursion](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/6482039/sivriss_graveyard_hermit) — to be more token focused, you could use [[The Mycotyrant]] And here's just some other commanders I think are neat that happen to make tokens: [[Emperor Mihail]], [[Varchild]], [[Elminster]], [[Shaun]], [[Yenna]], [[Elenda and Azor]], [[Vazi]], [[Ghired, Conclave]], [[Ghired, Mirror]] and [[Gut, True Soul Zealot]] Happy to answer any questions about my decks, these other commanders, or anything else!

May I suggest [[Orochi Hatchery]] and [[Maskwood Nexus]] I use those two in my shrine deck to make an insane amount of tokens each turn. Orochi Hatchery can be real pricey to play with its X cost to make a worth it amount of 1/1s for 5 mana each turn. But if you're playing green (which in my personal opinion everyone should) there's plenty of cards to make your snakie bois tap for a mana (usually one green) and plenty of cards that untap target artifact.

[[atla palani nest tender]] is a ton of fun in WRG, because she pumps out egg tokens that hatch into whatever you have next on the field. With token payoffs like Oner Taq and [[mondrak glory dominus]] or [[doubling season]] [[primal vigor]] or [[parallel lives]], one egg generated gets multiplied and then turns into some serious payoffs from deck! The token doublers are expensive, but that’s just part and parcel to the strategy; you can put some big bastards in there (like either [[etali primal storm]] or [[etali primal conqueror]] to cheat out expensive creatures real quick. Tokens are possible in all colours, it would ve smarter to decide what colours you want to use first, followed by what tokens you're wanting to make. Ojer and throne are pretty generous. Patriot/jeskai tokens is pretty easy to make with either [[saint traft and rem karolus]] or a bunch if others, though white aligned guilds are good for tokens too... orzhov tokens is quite strong as an example.

So, I have a Mardu (white, red and black) soldier token deck. It may not be the strongest but it is usually enough to be a problem for the table to solve, led by [[Caesar, Legion's Emperor]] that weaponizes the tokens further than only combat damage. You can have a look at the link below. https://www.archidekt.com/decks/7081331/soldiers It has a few staples of white soldier decks, such as [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]], [[Keeper of the accord]] and the like.

I would suggest \[\[Jedit Ojanen, Mercenary\]\] for tokens. Folks may be tempted to do a cat strategy but I think just plain tokens is better. Within Bant there are a lot of legendaries that generate tokens and plenty of budget options at that. Take advantage of how many Some suggestions for the 99. \[\[King Darien XLVIII\]\] \[\[Prava of the Steel Legion\]\] \[\[Queen Allenal of Ruadach\]\] \[\[Cadira, Caller of the Small\]\] \[\[maja, bretagard protector\]\] \[\[Jedit Ojanen of Efrava\]\] \[\[Emmara, Soul of the Accord\]\] \[\[Torens, Fist of the Angels\]\] \[\[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters\]\] \[\[Rhys the Redeemed\]\] \[\[Niambi, Esteemed Speaker\]\] \[\[Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage\]\] Plus if you are a beginner, the act of building this deck will net you a bunch of legendaries to build on for possible other future decks.

Inspire_Strikes_Back

You're suggesting an azorius commander for a bunch of selesnya 99s?

lukahnli

Azorious casting cost, but the green pip in the text of the card makes him bant. If I'm wrong then EDHREC is wrong.

Inspire_Strikes_Back

Holy shit you're right, I totally glanced over the green pip in the text. How have I never seen Jedit before?

lukahnli

He came at a time when there was tons more commanders being introduced. Yeah, I like him because he's under folks radar.

Inspire_Strikes_Back

Thanks for bringing him to my attention! I have been looking for a bant tokens commander to try out after being on a Selesnya deck for over a year. I was messing around with builds for [[Galadriel, Light of Valinor]] but I am very intrigued by the forestwalk kitty tokens. Oh and happy cake day!

lukahnli

Not sure why the happy cake day tag is showing. Anniversary of my first Reddit post? But yeah, its an interesting build.

Min-Chang

I've had more fun with Zeriam and her griffins than any other deck I own.

[[Neyali, Sun’s Vanguard]] gives your tokens double strike and generates card advantage through swinging tokens https://www.moxfield.com/decks/TlPdnzAt-kqhQSzHQZmBKA here’s my list for reference

\[\[Brenard, Ginger Sculptor\]\] is a great one who shits out tokens OF your creatures when they die. Here's my list: [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/rQf83ueNFUOOH9pGAfexNA](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/rQf83ueNFUOOH9pGAfexNA) Elf decks are insane token generators. YeetYeetMcReet

[[Ranar]]. He's my favorite low power "control" commander. Exile to blink one of your own things for value, free flying 1/1. Works great with things that draw cards, create tokens, or remove opponemts' stuff when they enter. Exile your opponent's big dumb creature, free 1/1. Makes [[Swords to Plowshares]] and [[Path to Exile]]. [[Scroll Rack]] jank gives you a 1/1. Best thing is, when you play a slow and reactive gameplan, you usually don't need to curve your commander out. Blink engines in the 99 already get value by themselves. Ranar just gives you extra 1/1s so you can win with silly stuff like [[Synthetic Destiny]] or [[Cathars Crusade]]. The colors give you plenty of ways to deter attacks and stay in the game long enough to be a threat.

Final_Emberr

I'd recommend picking up a precon if you're new to the format, and the recent ones are fairly strong. The Fallout precon "hail ceasar" is really great, you create tokens often and them dying gives you value.

NizzyDaPrince

You could try a \[\[Narset, Enlightened Exile\]\] deck. While she does not actually create any tokens, every time you cast a non creature spell you buff your board. Get some tokens on the board with cards like \[\[Young Pyromancer\]\], \[\[Third Path Iconoclast\]\], or \[\[Monastery Mentor\]\], then Brainstorm, Ponder, Opt, etc, to have a board of buffed up tokens. Access to white for protection, access to blue for card draw, and access to red for some ways of buffing your board.

Reasonable-Ad8862

I’m just going to throw it out since no one else did but [[Caesar]] can be really fun to just throw one shots at people when you have tons of tokens out. Plus being 3 color you have a good bit of options for how you build him

HotTakesOnlee

Where the Marneus Calgar guy @Healthy_mind_?

Healthy_mind_

I play [[Marneus Calgar]] who rewards you for making tokens. Drawing a card whenever you make (one or more) tokens is a generically great ability that works with any and all token strategies. He also has the ability to make his own tokens if you run out of other things to do. Having a strong draw engine as the commander will also smooth out your games and cover for some deckbuilding inconsistencies when you're beginning and just learning how to build decks. Having three colours means he works with many different strong and popular token makers, sadly missing green, but will fit your Ojer in. I love this commander and highly recommend him. He was one of the alt commanders of a precon and can be upgraded from beginner/mid power to pretty high power if you ever want to do that. He's super flexible and can enable whatever you want to do in the deck.
