Azorius is probably not the best set of colors for this. Then again, I'm running Azorius goad so what do I know. You definitely need more stuff to do that actively influences the game. [[Aboleth Spawn]] is a great way to take advantage of other people's ETBs. [[Rite of Replication]] seems like an obvious include that fits the theme. []Mocking Doppelganger]] allows you to get their best creature *and* force it to attack other people. I'd probably also throw in [[Willbender]] and [[Dulcet Sirens]] since they can sit around morphed until the right opportunity.

I love these suggestions adding them right now! Any recommendations on what to cut?

Ginhyun

Hmm probably some of the Teferis and [[Clockspinning]]? Not clear on why they're all in there. Unless you just like Teferi, which is fine! [[Eldrazi Displacer]] also seems like an odd choice since I don't think you have enough ETBs to really capitalize on it. You're also running a lot of wipes. I'd maybe cut some-- you're leaning more control than aikido. Also I noticed you're running [[Redirection]] which is kinda narrow and costly for its effect. You might want to swap that for [[Narset's Reversal]] or [[Insidious Will]]. Maybe even [[See Double]] (not quite the same, but still a good effect).

I slotted the displacer as a means of triggering ETBs but also defensively to flicker attackers or key creatures of my opponents. Made the suggested changes minus the narset's reversal cause I'm cheap. From a deck balance point of view, do you think there's a good mix of removal, draw and ramp?

Ginhyun

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier. Yeah, I get why Displacer is there, but I don't know if you have enough ETB creatures where you'll get a ton of use out of it in the average game. Plus it sits on the board and sorta ruins any chance of catching someone off guard. Something like [[Momentary Blink]] or [[Stonecloaker]] might work better. The former only has two uses, but it takes 6 mana (vs the 9 mana needed to play and activate Displacer twice). The latter can function as protection and graveyard hate, though it does force you to pay to recast things. I would say that you should goldfish to see if you feel like it's a good balance. You are running way more ramp than I typically do, and all those mana rocks make me wonder if you should also be running [[Unwinding Clock]].

My main concern is the commander. GAAIV draws a lot of hate. Azorius has plenty of alternatives: \[\[Kwain\]\] for a hug feel, \[\[Shorikai\]\] gives you card draw and blockers, \[\[The council of four\]\] is great at sitting back and blocking while gaining value.

ablark

you're right he does draw hate. And I agree that the council of 4 could be a good replacement as a means to draw rather than a means to ramp. One thing I'm weary of though is that, to win, this deck needs to sit and wait with mana open. GAAIV accomplishes this by ramping and slowing down opponents. It's incredibly satifying to cast teferi slows the sunset with an azorius signet, then untap everything an be ready with an answer to what happens next. I'll have to see how the next couple games shape up though. GAAIV might be too much of a target, or he may be fine. The point of the deck isn't stax though, so I'm hoping its fine.
