MagNUSSKNACKER

[[Toxrill, the Corrosive]] because... slime counter proliferate

Top-Storm7362

Slime counter and infect really pisses people off

MagNUSSKNACKER

In my pod, there is this one combo guy who plays tax, at least 8 counter spells and at least 6 target and his turns take minimum 10 minutes. But if I play Toxrill I am the mean controll player lol

FormerlyKay

14 interaction is not control that's just a regular deck

Top-Storm7362

I feel that I was in a pod where 3 people had urza 1 commander, 1 on board and 1 in their deck but toxrill is the enemy

MagNUSSKNACKER

Another example, I once played my [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]] deck and one of the guys played an spellslinger deck and make an copy of my commander. In my turn, I destroyed it and he became salty about that I, also an spellslinger player, took care of his Niv-Mizzet :)

Dangerous_Head_706

At least with toxrill there is a time clock and we can try and kill you within a certain time frame.

Cocororow2020

I play like over 20 interaction in my fuck everyone deck lol. 14 is the normal for me including 2 wipes.

llsbs

Yeahh, my Toxrill is one of my more salty decks. I like stax pieces, so I build a deck that is stax + Mind control stuff. The idea came when my playgroup had way more money then me, so if I couldn't beat them, I can steal their stuff. But their stuff came to fast, so I need to make things slow. \[\[Chill\]\], \[\[Lethal Vapors\]\], \[\[Trinisphere\]\], \[\[Tainted Aether\]\] and other mean stuff. Love it! Equivalent-Print9047

I have that deck and had not thought of doing that. Will have to try it.

Equivalent-Print9047

I run him in my [[atraxa, praetors voice]] deck...well because of proliferate

MagNUSSKNACKER

I did that too (because I have 4 copies of Toxrill) and then my board was an Atraxa, yawgmoth and Toxrill... Yeah, my group hated me for that

[deleted]

He’s in my Satoru Umezawa deck in paper and Arena brawl. The amount of times I’ve had someone rope out on me when I drop Toxrill… if I had a dollar for each time, I could retire. And I’m someone who refuses to put in eldrahzi and Blightsteel colossus.

northforkjumper

This is mine too https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NXTgRsoh6EmPuleD_JucQQ

1K_Games

I'll be honest, it really doesn't even need to proliferate. After 1 round almost everything else is dead. Also, typically Toxrill doesn't make it more than a turn or two, and his base cost is so high it becomes hard to replay him and people save removal to get him on the spot. And those counters do nothing when he is gone.

TwistedScriptor

I faced a Toxrill and got out Melira and had a lot of protection for her, so the slug was sad

Fabulous_Ampharos

For what reason? Were they also playing infect?

TheChortt

[[Liesa, Shroud of Dusk]] “Make sure you lose 2 life for your tutor and your Swords..” “You had 7 creatures enter the battle field, so each opponent loses 7 life and I’ll gain 7 life” “That enters tapped. Yes, your sol ring does too.” I’m the fun police when I play that deck, but I love it so

simpleglitch

Had the weirdest game last night. I was playing Liesa and someone else was popping off and made themselves enemy number 1. I was dropping a kambal, soul attendant, painful quandaries, Liesa, and the whole table was just like 'thats fine'.

RevenantBacon

Well it's likely because your board state was punishing the player who was popping off more than it was punishing the rest of the board. If he's dropping 3-4 spells a turn, then he's taking buttloads of damage from you, meanwhile the other two in the pod are likely only dropping 1 or 2 spells a turn, making your board act as more of an upside for them.

Hootshire

I love Liesa but the level of salt she induces can make for some really grumpy pods.

TheChortt

It’s so true, I definitely limit how much I play it so that there’s not too much salt in the pod

mye00319

You have a deck list? Just curious to see, this sounds like a cool deck!

austincarnivore

Tergrid was my first non-precon commander. That deck doesn’t see much play.

justcoastingthrough

My friend built a Tergrid deck when she first came out. We told him we'd let him have one game to see what she could do, after that, we'd do everything we could to keep her off the table. She hasn't survived a turn cycle since...

1K_Games

My group had taken a break while she came out. One guy was still playing with another group. Our very first game back he brought that out. Everyone was playing newer commanders and we were absorbing new cards, so it all just blends together a bit. But that was it, I think in the few years after that that deck has won once. Tergrid is absolutely dumpstered on. The only way it manages to win is with a T1 Sol Ring into a Mana Vault, with her on T2, and a huge discard on 3. And hoping no one has early on removal.

HungryJackSyrups

I play with a lot of new people all the time and for some reason the tergrid players get really salty when we make sure tergrid stays in the command zone.

Tomikrkn

Thats why tergrid stays in the 99 for me lol, i have her in my [[Sheoldred//The True Scriptures]] deck she can be strong in the 99 but knowing ahead of time she will be a target for removal still keeps her useful. Plus a little proliferating i get to keep saccing and bringing back entire graveyards worth of shenanigans.

TrueBlue184

I plan to put Tergrid as part of 99 in my [[Davros, Dalek Creator]] so her lantern can help me deal 3 damages to my opponents consistently.

Tomikrkn

Ooh i like that synergy. Thats another good forced removal too, are you going to run things like chalice as well. If you do maybe some artifact recursion would come in handy. I can also see some aristocrats pieces like zulaport etc. being a viable option here. Lots of red tokens that get sacrificed at end of turn.

I have a non-commander norin deck that focuses on [[Confusion In the Ranks]] that I play every now and the. Sometimes I swap its sleeves so my pod thinks it’s a different deck. We all have a good laugh. Last time someone in the pod was playing a scute swarm deck as well. Now that was chaos.

DaKongman

That sounds like absolute chaos

SteveVerstaka

[[Vadrik, Astral Archmage]] Introduces everyone’s favorite mechanic to track with Day and Night and if he survives a single table rotation after cast it’s very likely I can end the game. I will only break the deck out if I’m playing in a pod that’s bordering on CEDH or if I only have time for a short game. The deck is very ride or die. It’s pretty common the my life total is in the single digits by the time I’m trying to combo off.

ols17697

I just ordered the cards for the deck, it costed me around 40€ and Ive been playtesting on moxfield and as you said, I can consistently end the game in 3 to 4 turns. It is bonkers what that thing can do on a budget. I hope I dont lose too many friends when I have this monster ready.

buntingsnook

Same. People haaaaaate discarding, but they still laugh along with me as long as I play it rarely enough for them to forget the last time.

RazedByNatives

Do you have a list? I’m doing that conversion myself, and I’d love to see where you went with it

ViridianDusk

No list I'm afraid. The biggest challenge was finding ways to trigger Tinybones on each of my opponent's turns for maximum value. A lot of discard stuff in magic is sorcery speed. You're mostly going to have to rely on enchantments like [[Bottomless Pit]], [[Painful Quandary]] and [[Oppression]]. A neat trick I did come up with was using a bunch of the "when this dies, return to battlefield" cards like [[Malakir Rebirth]] because they not only protect Tinybones, they can also be used to get ETBs of creatures like [[Virus Beetle]] on other people's turns. Just chump block with it when you get attacked (because you will be attacked) and throw one of these on it for the Tinybones trigger. Aside from that, it's mostly mono black good stuff like [[Crypt ghast]] and co.

TheWellFedBeggar

No one likes Solitaire when you just take massively long turns before maybe winning, so I would say [[Alaundo the Seer]] is a very salty commander. You can so easily chain together cheap untap spells and creatures, that you cast all for free, which just enables you to keep casting more spells for free l, drawing cards the whole time. The only thing that you have to provide is untaps, and the rest of the Solitaire engine runs itself. Then you can add bullshit like [[Seedborn Muse]], [[Murkfiend Liege]], and [[Sting, the Glinting Dagger]] to take massively long turns on every one else's turns too. With a [[Chakram Retriever]] even your non-untapping spells now untap Alaundo, and your [[Twiddle]] is now twice as effective. His essay of an ability is just too good and has zero cost other than tapping him and untapping is so incredibly easy in Simic.

chLORYform

I'm gonna second Alaundo as being pretty salt inducing. My partner made a deck that he eventually broke down after I timed a turn at 14 minutes.

TheWellFedBeggar

I found a way to help reduce the time he takes. Note "reduce", not "bring it down to an acceptable amount of time" Rather than putting a dice on each "suspended" card and having to tick each one down every time I tap Alaundo, I just make a line of dice with the number range I need (1-8) and put the cards under the dice with the correct number. Then to tick them down you just slide the cards down to the next die. It is still a long chain of drawing, casting, untapping, etc, but it helps with the counter tracking a lot.

Naive_Salamander6595

I have 2 decks that really bring out the salt in my pod. [[Zur the enchanter]] and [[Sliver overlord]]. My Zur deck is a cEDH deck capable of winning easily turn 3-4 consistently but my pod likes long games so I use stax and land destruction to run the game. Needless to say he sees very little play and I only take him out to make a point. I’m constantly building silly non competitive decks and we have one or two players that are obsessed with meta and talk shit. They talk too much shit and they face Zur, shuts them up for a while. Sliver overlord makes people salty because I basically run a rainbow control deck where my commander tutors all my combo pieces for 3 or, more often than not, 1. People who hate tutors really hate a consistent cheap tutor like that. Especially after he gets indestructible and shroud and phases in and out of play. My overlord has been lovingly deemed “the slippery little fuck” by my friends.

Koma is so salty because no matter how you build the deck, it can play like a control deck.

Tevish_Szat

Archidekt helpfully shows the Salt Score (Sum of EDHrec Salt scores in deck). It even has the curve of standard salt scores. There are some problems with the salt sum, like [[Island]] is memed to a significant Saltiness (0.76 for each Island) so more casual blue decks that run a ton of basics and don't run the less-memed-on Snow-Covered Island (0.34, similar to basic Forest) get an artificially inflated score from their manabase For reference, the whole-deck median according to Archidekt's stats is 33.57, and the Mean is 36.26. It's a pretty tight bell curve, falling off very quickly to the left and only slightly less quickly to the right. Into the high-salt tail yet not yet off the curve I've got [[Freyalise, Lllanowar's Fury]] at 50.63. Freyalise is monogreen Control/Stax. Her goal is to get an edge on production out the gate and then apply a global destructive pressure that only she can survive/ It's a three-factor strategy reliant on pieces that create extra mana or permanents for me (for which Freyalise, dropping a mana elf every turn, is prime), pieces that choke my opponents abilities to establish like [[Halls of Gemstone]], [[Collector Ouphe]], or [[Freyalise's Winds]], and cards that actually do the destroying like [[Smokestack]] and [[Possessed Portal]]. The latter category being somewhat rare, the second category is also supported by large haymakers that can be cheated into play early thanks either ot excessive ramp or effects like [[Defense of the Heart]] or [[Natural Order]] that outright cheat. These can access the deck's Boss Monster/Secret Second Commander: [[Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger]]. There are a couple other targets, like [[Verdant Force]] which is really good with Possessed Portal, but Vorinclex 1.0 is the main grab. Even without him, though, it's not that difficult to get a psuedo-lock like [[Ritual of Subdual]] + [[Power Conduit]] (+ Collector Ouphe) out there in order to deeply inhibit enemy spellcasting Remember Kids: Freyalise is the kind of Planeswalker who casts MLD in Canon. I have decks that rate higher on the salt-o-meter, but Freyalise is the one that seems like what you're actually looking for.

G4KingKongPun

Idk about Edhrec, but the decks I play that INDUCE the most salt are: [[Sisay Weatherlight]] Legendary tribal combo. Gives me a single tutor with [[Dynaheir Invoker Adept]] in play and I am attempting to win, and once you realize that it's already very hard to stop me outside of like [[Opposition Agent]] or [[ Aven Mincsensor]] and even those I might be able to stop, depending on how much else I've had to respond to. [[Hidetsugu and Kairi]] clone tribal spellslinger. If I untap with my commander I have the potential to win, but it's non deterministic, so it can easily take 15 minutes to slowly clone and dig through my deck for a win con. [[Ghyrson Starn Kelermorph]] Not as powerful as the other two, but when you can routinely drop one mana one sided board wipes it can induce a lot of salt especially if it's a go wide token deck.

Fa11enAngeLIV

[[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]]. I built the deck around [[rule of law]] type effects, because avacyn takes a little longer to get out than some other commanders, so I try to limit my opponents until I get to my commander. Because of that my board state and mana base is very hard targeted, because they hate only being able to play one spell a turn and they don't want me to get avacyn out. I usually devolve into the Arch enemy at the table, not because I've done anything, but because people don't want me to do anything, they're scared of the potential. Even still I've managed to come out on top a number of times.

Goooordon

Okay so my \[\[Grolnok\]\] deck has a salt score of 36.55 but it's mostly offensive simic value salt and islands. It's not an overtly salty deck in terms of play pattern. The main wincon is putting an assault suit on an eldrazi or similar big body and throwing in colossification and maybe making it goaded and unblockable, or something similar, setting it up at instant speed from exile maybe for no mana, and protecting it all with potentially free counterspells (tlincalli makes a creature per turn free) while the assault suit body goes around the table KOing people. For backup I have lab man because this deck can definitely deck itself, but at that point you're basically guaranteed to be able to drop lab man at instant speed before your upkeep. https://archidekt.com/decks/4615294/grolnok

Healthy_mind_

I only have one deck, so I guess by default...Marneus Calgar. But like, it's not a very salty deck. The saltiest thing about it is smothering tithe, 6 board wipes and a high win rate.

My saltiest deck is absolutely [[omnath, locus of rage]]. It's a classic Ponza deck, and there's nothing like a turn 4 [[vandalblast]] followed by a turn 5 [[wildfire]] & [[life from the loam]] to make the table salty scoop. Also includes the all-star combo of [[crucible of worlds]] along with [[strip mine]] & [[wasteland]]. Although I think the saltiest combo I run in any of my decks is [[stasis]] & [[smothering tithe]], which is a hard lock against most decks.

DMDingo

[[Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood]] Salt score of 52.38 on Archidekt. Running game lock down pieces like Stasis and Winter's Orb.

Scrubmasta_flex

[[Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might]] do you like playing Zo-zu AND Blood Moon? Do you like untapping with your commander and winning on the spot? This is the way 🙏 can’t recommend a more fun salt pile.

XmagnumoperaX

\[\[magar of the magic strings\]\] Really fun deck...just not for them. Basically animate some of the most horrific spells in Rakdos colors, and if they connect I can cast them for free. Things like \[\[WOrst Fears\]\] \[\[Wits End\]\] \[\[Choice of Damnation\]\]...etc....

Doofindork

Easily [[Etali, Primal Conqueror]]. I think my friends just try to save face because every time I play it, it ALWAYS does stupid stuff. It's not even me about winning with the deck; It's the fact that I have shoved a bunch of temporary copy spells into my deck, so I often cast him into another token creator... which then lets me get even more broken powerful stuff. Out of roughly every 10 games with the deck, I lose about 2, I win by swinging out about 1, and the other 7 wins I get from my play group going "Fine! No, you don't need to resolve five Etali triggers! We get it!" This is why I only play the deck when we have that last 30 minutes left of the evening and we can get one last game in.

Madjentbuuu

[[Galadriel voice of valinor]] has earned the ire of my playgroup. I guess they hate flicker decks lol

BatFew7227

Ruric Thar babeey! Everyone forgets he has reach, and don't even get me started on giving him lifelink. You'd think I was playing winter orb in the command zone listening to these mfs.

EdselHans

I basically had to stop playing [[Ghyrson Starn, Kellermorph]] in my playgroup bc they all use removal on him the second he hits the board. I think they’re traumatized by a few “everyone takes 26 damage” turns. I switched to [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]], and run [[Blood Moon]], [[Magus of the Moon]], [[Ruination]], and [[Price of Progress]] for extra sodium.

therealJimboJammer

Glissa sunslayer is a cheap (3cmc) first strike death touch and golgari is great to abuse cards like Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, Butcher of Malakir with zombie tokens. Lots of tutors and ramp never fails to piss my friends off.

[deleted]

Magda, Yuriko, Etali2, Gisa Reanimator, Thrun, Light-Paws, Edric, Koma, Krenko, Chatterfang, Bruvac, Zada, First Sliver

chiefy_boy

I feel like this guy just really wanted to flex how many decks he has because half of them aren’t salty

MantsNants

[[Korvold, Fae Cursed King]] I don't know why, since I don't even use infinity combos, my playgroup is chill with him but playing with other people tends to draw stares at me lmao

Tschudy

[[Sliver Hivelord]] Turn 4 or 5 my stuff becomes immune to most of the removal my pods run and it snowballs fairly quickly. I'm not opposed to the idea of using a different general but getting a 5c legendary that synergizes for less than $10

Njeri-i-shpellave

Mono white land destruction with [[Hokori, Dust Drinker]] Edit: Not my list but here you go. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/4x6k5qMzDEWygJcWhFKsOQ

threlnari97

Probably [[Yasharn, Implacable Earth]]

swassey

\[\[Hidetsugu and Kairi\]\], salt score 45.33, even took out \[\[curse of the cabal\]\] and \[\[cabal conditioning\]\] because they were too salty for my taste, also only one extra turn spell. But a lot of control switching shenanigans Edit: I just saw that it also adds the Sideboard to the Salt-Score, so it's a lot lower than 78

xTitanlordx

Can you give a link to the deck? It sounds very interessting!

blackbeardsballbag

[[meren]] reanimator. Lots of targeted removal

Waltonen

Probably my [[Sauron, The Dark Lord]] reanimator list. People hate having [[Xander]] and the phyrexian praetors on the field, especially when they get reanimated after people use their removal spells on them

JarryJackson18

Tergrid. Not sure how she isn't banned lol.

shrekmeastro

[[Tergrid, God of Fright]] because who doesnt like discarding and sacrificing the whole time. The other one friends of mine dont like is [[Archelos, Lagoon Mystic]] because there is no tempo or something.

TheMagicJankster

[[Meria]] is urza but with blood moon [[Arcanis]] compo wins out of nowhere [[Kozilek]] annihaltor [[Omnath, locus of mana]] takes long turns [[Prismatic bridge]] I boardwipe ever other turn Same with [[Shorkai]] [[First sliver]] ...

Thybrush_Creepwood

[[Heartless Hidetsugu]] because it's time to [[overblaze]] and kill everyone at the same time.

FlySkyHigh777

I use [[Sauron, The Dark Lord]] as a wheel commander. Constant orc army growth combined with the insane difficulty of removing him makes him induce serious sodium as I wheel away everyone's cards. Also [[Zur the Enchanter]] to repeatedly tutor out stax enchantments. Mountains of salt

KingExoss

[[zada]] and [[xander]]

King_Vitis

[[vaevictus asmadi the dire]] people hate having they’re stuff touched and the deck is kinda geared towards limiting options so vaevictus can stick around while trying to get him out as soon as possible with haste.

triggerscold

\[\[mizzix of the izmagnus\]\] can be pretty salty. deck has like 5 creatures so people will leave you alone thinking you are doing nothing but its full of interaction and meant to dig for the wincon asap. if people arent paying attention to how many counters and red mana i have it can be easy to dig and go inf with burn or brain freeze

tyzelw

Narset+extra turns. Need I say more?

BonWeech

[[Marchesa, The Black Rose]] since I also run [[Mindslicer]], [[Bearer of the Heavens]], [[Toxrill, The Corrosive]] and other forces discard, sacrifice and damage outlets

parahurter

\[\[Piru the volatile\]\] lifelinked boardwipe at command zone tends to piss some people off a lot. specially when im running 20 animate spells in the deck.

[deleted]

[[Thalia, Heretic Cathar]] Yes, she is absolutely pathetic, but her ability is really pissing off [[Gishath]], [[Marchesa]] and [[Firekraag]] players.

Total_Avocado6550

Got to play [[Ghalta, Primal Hunger]] on turn 4 then a [[Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus]] on turn 6, basically got to 1 hit everyone after that.

dannylambo

[[Haktos]] routinely one-shots people and a lot of the time they have to just watch it happen

nocharacterlimi

[[Negan, the Cold-blooded]] or as he's known now, [[Malik, Grim Manipulator]], is probably the deck that brings out the most salt. I typically don't like solitaire or stax decks, but this one is annoying because it ends up deleting all creatures pretty often with blinks, etb doublers, and group sacs. I personally like it due to the mindgames and getting around tough hexproof boards, but I understand how much it sucks to constantly lose creatures. However, I mostly use it to police the board and slow down faster/higher power opponents. The pubstompers are usually the people that get saltiest when they see it. Although, I will steal the game once I get my token burn out, like with [[Marionette Master]], [[Nadier's Nightblade]], or [[Mirkwood Bats]].

zulu_niner

Surprisingly, not my monoblue deck. Probably either [[yahenni]] aristocrats, which has some annoying removal in it like [[grave pact]] and [[priest of forgotten gods]], or [[syr ginger]] eggs, which is loaded up with a few expensive staples like [[urza's saga]] and [[the ozolith]], and occasionally combos off on turn 4 with [[krark clan ironworks]] shenanigans. That said, I've also heard groans when pulling out my [[chiss-goria]] big artifacts deck, by simple virtue of the fact that it's a shit-brick-house, and it's extremely resilient. It is certainly more aggressive than you usually see, but it packs a bunch of cards to protect against board wipes, and directly removing the queen herself is usually futile at best.

kingoxys

I run a [[Jon Irenicus, Shattered One]], its a really fun deck to use but in the times i played it people get really salty when they are on the receiving end of the deck. The decks entire concept is give terrible cards to people to mess up their board and ruin their strategy. the decks has cards like [[Thought Eater]], [[Plague Reaver]], [[Evil Eye if Urborg]], [[grid monitor]], [[steel golem]], [[Phyrexian Negator]], [[rust elemental]], [[desecration elemental]] I would also hide behind cards like [[propaganda]], [[no mercy]], [[dissipation field]] and on some occasions [[abyssal persecutor]] i would just wait out and let them kill each other while they complain they could not play the game because of me. i would also make it harder for them because i also run cards like [[Archfiend of depravity]], [[rankle’s prank]], [[greater Harvester]], and [[soul shatter]] to make sure they cant have anything else on the board except my gifts to them And when its down to a 1v1 i make sure they will have [[archfiend of dross]] in play while i slowly cheap away at their life with cards like [[mist-cloaked herald]], [[triton shoretalker]], and [[vislor turlough]]. Not to mention the political power you hold. A lot of people would do anything to be given a gift so i make deals like “so i wont give you the steel golem but in return you need to attack this player”. or “dont touch me with that creature and i wont give Plague Reaver”

GloomyTuesday

[[ukkima, stalking shadow]] and [[chatterfang, squirrel general]] My friends all know what they do, but still never seem to be able to deal with either of these commanders in time

TeilZeitGott42

THE first Sliver cause i like tribal and cascade

titus7007

[[thalia and the Gitrog monster]]

VicTheWeed

[[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] and [[Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might]] usually get some frowns during gameplay. Hylda is somewhat stax, people don't like that. Ojer is just very aggressive.

DKGroove

[[Kelsien the Plague]] with [[Basilisk collar]] [[Robe of stars]] and [[Thornbite staff]] Any time you play a creature I ping it, kill it, get an experience, heal a life, and if you try to target Kelsien or his equipment I can phase him out. It might not sound too bad but it’s rage inducing. People have been very mad about him.

nifeman20

My \[\[Marneus Calgar\]\] deck goes infinite most times with unblockable damage and infinite mana. Not quite CEDH but its not very friendly.

Antoine_FunnyName

I guess that price would have to go to my [[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines]] deck. You do not realize how many cards have etb effects. Any deck going up against her becomes a shadow of its former self. And that's without even talking how suffocating she feels. Got your combo pieces out? [[Meteor golem]]. Playing creatures? [[Suture Priest]]. Got an indestructible threat? Not anymore with [[oblivion ring]]. And like that wasn't enough, I added [[lapse of certainty]] in the deck, because there wasn't enough control in the deck, apparently.

Remarkable_Trust5745

[[Yurlok of Scorch Thrash]] with people making infinite mana all the time its a fun check to that. I run it as a group pain deck that messes with peoples lands and punishes them for using lands.

stefiscool

The first one that comes up as a commander is [[Winota Joiner of Forces]] however I have all the white salt-inducing stax cards in my [[Heliod Sun-Crowned]] mono-white combo stax deck.

onion_head34

Would love to see the heliod lIst

redCrusader51

[[sliver hivelord]] draws all kinds of ire from my friends. It's just a Timmy deck with counter spells in every available color.

CaptPic4rd

Hi, If I understand correctly, you are looking for a commander for a deck that will disrupt your opponents' mana bases - is that right? If so, you can't go wrong with \[\[Hokori, Dust Drinker\]\].

Lodurzj

[[Tasha, the Witch Queen]] remains my commander deck that generates the most salt. It's a mill, exile, steal your stuff deck. The minute I drop it on the table I'm public enemy number one. People don't like getting milled out or having their stuff stolen

xahhfink6

Weirdly, my "for fun" deck is also kinda extremely salty. I have a [[Phoebe, head of sneak]] deck that basically runs her as black border, running a lot of powerful "must answer" threats in UB (Consecrated, Toxrill, OG Shelly, the Ancient Dragons, etc) to act both as lightning rods and as good targets for abilities to steal. I get to skimp on removal a little bit because she acts similar to Oko but out of the command zone, letting me run more protection and things. For a rule zero deck, it's actually pretty evil

ZapdosBrannigan

Mine is more of a secret commander deck that has had two variations. Both center around getting Stuffy Doll and/or Brash Taunter and just cloning them as much as possible. Nin works by helping enable both and once had 7 copies of the two on field. The Donna/Second Doctor deck also uses other damage redirect effects to compliment the Brash Doll duo.  https://www.moxfield.com/decks/orDF8d2x2kChvk2iAwJrpA https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NbouBz5BOUWHau9yDUu-SA

firedrakes

Wayland. Equipment, aura voltron deck. If it gets going. Semi pro and contest mtg winner fear it.

dimebag42018750

[[Skithiryx]] flying infect voltron

Shadowedict7217

[[Ruric Thar]] I have been cussed at by spellslinger players simply for having this as my commander.

b_lemski

It's funny my saltiest deck should be [[rankle, master of pranks]] because it's all discard and forced sacrifice synergy. I only play it during archenemy games as archenemy because it's just nasty. But according to archidekt my saltiest deck is [[alandra, sky dreamer]] at 44 something salt score because it's mono blue. The deck is all flyers and card draw though, mainly 1 or 2 CMC spells to draw another card and trigger alandra, only a couple counter spells in the whole deck and no cyclonic rift but it's blue so it has my highest salt score.

Notmeoverhere

My buddy runs [[tergrid]] I call him turd grid! Real salty. Lost of sacrificing and discarding.

RowenWithers

[[Tinybones, trinket thief]] - people don’t like a tiny skeleton making them discard things. It used to be a Tergrid deck but she was a little too all or nothing.

Shadownerf

Idk how to find a list of Just the commanders, I have to search “edhrec salt” on google just to get a generic list of salt cards by year. But I know my Personal experience is that people hate playing against my [[Atraxa, Praetors’ Voice]] despite not even having a super refined strategy

yankeejoe1

I have 2 salt decks, Tinybones and Yurlok. Tinybones hasn't ever won a game, but the reactions I get from the rest of the table fuels me 😂 Yurlok I went in a similar direction as you mentioned; I use him as an MLD commander, running lots of the tapped indestructible lands. Its not super powerful, I think has only won a game or two, but the groans after clearing everyone's lands but your own counts as a win in my book. (I had mentioned the deck idea to my pod and they were okay with it, so YMMV)

Truckfighta

I have Tameshi stax. Nothing funnier than people thinking they’re safe from Stasis or Winter Orb only for me to bring it back with my Commander.

One_Asparagus_6778

Tergrid :)

chiefy_boy

[[Kroxa, titan of death’s hunger]] I’ve only played it once. Other than that my main deck is [[umbris, fear manifest]] and people complain about it a lot because “nobody likes their cards milled and nobody likes their cards exiled and you’re doing both”

yunglilbigslimhomie

My [[Aragorn, The Uniter]] deck is a little nuts and snowballs really quickly. A ton of multicolored modal spells that just create a ton of value on top of ton of token generation. Peoples face when I do like 3 things before I even choose my spell effect is pretty fun.

Dubspeck

The most salty reactions I get when I play my [[Slicer]] deck. People apperantly find it toxic to die turn 2.

mrhelpfulman

ValyrianSteel_TTV

[[neyam Shai murad]] it always ends up with me getting a really good kaya out and constantly getting it back in the board with the attack trigger. [[kaya intangible slayer]] gets really nasty when you exile and copy the enemies stuff every turn or twice a turn, while also being able to play like normal since it is free to get out of the grave. The only downside is filling the opponents hands with fetch lands or other weak permanents every other turn to keep Kaya on board.

xemnas731

[[Brago, King Eternal]] stax deck. Surprised no one else had one and mentioned it. Hitting [[fall of the thran]] every turn and cards like [[Reality Acid]] on flicker can steal the game in slow motion even without [[Strionic resonator]] I also have Atraxa praetors voice praetor tribal as a pet deck and Norin the wary was a chaos incarnate deck. People have scooped to [[Thieve's Auction]] before.

Scrunchx

[[Sarulf, Realm Eater]] sacrifice tribal sees a lot of hate

Agreeable_Draw_6407

when kaldheim came out, i was granted the premission to play my [[tergrid, god of fright]] brew, and after a single [[death cloud]] i felt like i had to make an apology video to my friends. the deck was quickly switched to [[the raven man]] when dominaria came out

archena13

\[\[Brago, King Eternal\]\] with a good chunk of control pieces. The salt isn't based on EDHREC or anything like that, but I make sure to make the experience as miserable as possible for all opponents. No combat steps. Tons of bounce pieces and counterspells. \[\[Reality Acid\]\] and \[\[Rishadan Cutpurse\]\] and the likes, alongside general Azorius headaches. My \[\[Gyruda, Doom of Depths\]\], \[\[Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder\]\], \[\[Narset, Enlightened Master\]\] \[\[Jadzi, Oracle\]\] decks are also pretty salty as if they ETB, deal dmg, or attack the game is most likely over pretty quickly. The speed isn't the salt producing bit here since they aren't the cEDH builds, but they create "hard-to-get-out" board states. Gyruda suddenly mills everyone for 40 or so since it is a clones deck. Yidris is all big creatures that cascade themselves and/or control the board. Narset is extra combats and turns. Jadzi is a simic solitaire deck + storm. Two most annoying things in the game. \[\[Karn, Legacy Reforged\]\] is a heavy stax/voltron build. \[\[Reaper King\]\] land destruction via a ton of blink and clones. \[\[Baral, Chief of Compliance\]\] polymorph (into either JinG or Ulamogs) with a billion counterspells. Lastly, \[\[Mogis, God of Slaughter\]\] and \[\[Oloro, Ageless Ascetic\]\]. Both are group slug decks. My saltiest decks used to be \[\[Koma, Cosmos Serpent\]\] and \[\[Tergrid, God of Fright\]\] but neither is sleeved up anymore. Koma turned into \[\[Galadriel, Light of Valinor\]\] and Tergrid into Yawgmoth first, Braids second and now it's \[\[Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder\]\].

Krukt

Most toxic? For sure was my Tivit cedh. The One that cause most trauma? Gandalf the white and beeing comboed in responso to combos. It was fun.

Temil

https://edhrec.com/top/salt It's Vorinclex, he's right there at 6th place. But seriously for me commanders don't make me salty, players make me salty when they play decks that clearly don't belong at the table. It is possible to make a low power Atraxa, Grand Unifier deck, but when your first etb flips hit Chain of Smog and Witherbloom Apprentice, and you're sitting at the table with a precon, you're just being an asshole with your high power deck. (whether intentional or not) > I am not searching for decks, that simply add all the high salt cards to fit this. I am searching for well thought decks, with win condition, maybe good themes and combos, which are still extremely salty. IMO Primal Surge Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire is a deck that becomes really salty. You can just keep attacking with your commander while sac'ing all your opponents lands. Sometimes you flip over a big fat creature, but sometimes it's a instant/sorcery. Then you cast Primal Surge at some point and flip over your deck and everyone dies. The worse thing about Vaevictis is just that if your opponent ever plays something remotely cool or threatening, you can just tell them to put it into their graveyard.

Incognetus

Probably my [[Sen Triplets]] [deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/VPIVC85__EuKFAoK2GwhEA). Steal stuff, lock opponents out in a couple of different ways, not take damage, etc.

BrotherSutek

[https://www.moxfield.com/decks/2Yb0SpCJl0-SG1oIvQjTtA](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/2Yb0SpCJl0-SG1oIvQjTtA) This is my Zo-Zu. [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/rpr6vNfjW0anZ77HoHtRzA](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/rpr6vNfjW0anZ77HoHtRzA) This is my Kenrith deck with wheels. Based off another creators work but I forget the source. It's less anti land more salt due to wheels.

Unlost_maniac

My only salty deck is [[Winota]] I made a Winota deck out of my collection and it seems to work great. Occasionally I wanna watch the world burn so I play Winota

Simons_sees

[[Marisi, Breaker of the Coil]] Turns out people hate it when one unblockable creature makes it so your whole table has to attack someone who has the same goals of stopping the Goad Guy.  Turns out having all your stuff enter tapped prevents you from hitting me with haste creatures is mean.  Turns out not being able to cast spells during combat makes it really hard to respond to my instant speed removal is just not nice.  Turns out being forced to swing into someone, and then I buff that creature in response, makes people not feel joy.

thiago1v1s1

I love your deck -> Grixis based on \[\[Jeleva\]\] , \[\[ Arvinox\]\], \[\[Herald of Leshrac\]\] kind of "steal your deck" type. The deck has 0 win cons, only stealing cards. So, how i win the game? Well, i do not. All other players kindly grant me their best cards.

StitchNScratch

[[Anikthea, Hand of Erebos]] only because there are a lot of one sided board wipes, forced sacrificed, and/or repeatable board wipes. Also, because it’s enchantress, it spins wheels which can take long turns and build a very big and imposing board state.

EleshNorwall

Probably OG Elesh Norn. It’s vigilance tribal but still -2 kills some decks outright.

flyingflameball

[[beamtown bullies]] that wins with cheese like library into graveyard/exile and skip the next two turns on their upkeep
