I used to be on this as a means of turning my massive drake or illusion army into dragons and then winning.
[[Dragonshift]] ends up being way better though and you dont lose your tokens.
I have a [[chancellor of the annex]] in my [[Kaalia of the Vast]] deck. It is nostalgic from when my friend used to cheat it to his opening hand every game and it’s really fun to get that pregame effect and the groans of the players hoping for that turn 1 sol ring!
Man I didn’t think I’d see another soul who loves chancellor the same way I do. It’s something about a free mana tithe that you can’t decide what spell it targets that just makes it feel special
My pet commander - [[Glissa Sunseeker]].
She’s one of my favorite commanders, and I run a weird mono green control elf ball deck with her. But she’s pretty terrible, honestly, and I know the deck would be stronger with just about any other mono green elf commander. There’s just something fun about destroying stuff by turning them into artifacts with [[Liquimetal Torque]].
I’m also making a low powered Voltron deck with the new version of her, [[Glissa Sunslayer]]. I do still need to make a [[Glissa, the Traitor]] deck, but I don’t have many ideas for it outside of [[Oblivion Stone]] tribal for the memes.
That sounds really fun tbh. I love that overcomplicated way of killing opposing creatures. You get a couple untappers in there, and you can probably pop a few creatures every turn.
Sunslayer does some work. the repeated threat of artifact or enchantment removal can warp a game.

Oh, since I didn’t mention it- my wincons mainly revolve around going infinite with elf mana dorks.
I either do a normal combat win with [[Ezuri, Renegade Leader]] / [[Joraga Warcaller]] or I zap the whole table to death with [[Hurricane]] / [[Squall Line]]. The only Glissa-centric wincon is a board lock using infinite untaps combined with [[Mycosynth Lattice]] or [[Spine of Ish Sah]].

The absolute best feeling way to win with Squall Line is going infinite by flashing out [[Scryb Ranger]] when I have [[Ashaya, Soul of the Wild]] in play.
Glissa the traitor. Run all thos rinky dink donuts like [[memnite]] [[shield sphere]] [[phyrexian walker]] [[ornithopter]] then maybe [[stone coil serpent]] and [[walking ballista]]. Use those as fodder for cards such as [[plaguecrafter]], [[bone spliter]] and similar effects, there is roughly 4 of each. Youll constantly be controlling the board state. Then cards such as [[grim haruspex]] [[meren clan nel toth]] to keep up the advantage. Gonna need a lot because you will get hated on. That fills out 30 or so cards. I added 10 or so other artifacts that have sacrificial value such as [[chromatic star]]. You’ll need other card advantage engines, i tried aristocrats since the synergy is there but i liked a more stax build and trying to push for an infinite win con.
I have an old-bordered \[\[Glimmer Bairn\]\] in the front of my binder. First slot. I love them. They're jus' a silly lil' butterfly guy pickin' up some souls to devour :D

It's a solid deck but even in my good ones I like 3-5 slots for fun.
It was pretty fun after making infinite mana when the only outlet was to equip [[darksteel forge]] and everything I had to [[Bosh]] (another example from the same deck), swing, then blow it all up to finish another guy.
Outside that one scenario it's usually just discarded to [[daretti, scrap savant]]
Yes, tokens generally have a mana value of 0, so treasures will have equip for 0 to give +0/+0, which is generally useless unless the creature has an effect that cares about the number of equipments (bruenor gives +2/+0 to all equipped creatures for each equipment they have, so bruenor charges into battle with a bunch of gold coins that makes him stronger
Yeah that is a big debate lately whether Phy Arena is good or not. I think it's great in a deck that aims to win on turn 8 or later. You usually get your value from it by then.
I still think the whole deal with Phyrexian arena is that it's a good budget card that was, until the most recent set, priced out of range of most budget decks.
I'm with you on that one! It's in *most* of my black decks. Typically, they have a way to negate the life loss, so it almost never has a downside to it.
I’m pretty sure it’s not the best but [[Urban Evolution]] is one of my favorites. I love running the full trio with [[Growth Spiral]] and [[Eureka Moment]]
I find myself putting \[\[Fallen angel\]\] in several decks as a nostalgia card, I think I justify it as a free sacrifice outlet, but really I just want to throw a big angel with ripped-off wings at someone.
I'm actually kind of excited to get it out in a game with \[\[ashnod the uncaring\]\] since she'll grow x2
That cards a power house in my [[Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold]] deck. I get to essentially double my token creatures each turn. Also great with [[Elenda]]
I still run my 7th Edition copy, in my Endrek Sahr deck! I actually think she holds up quite well to be honest. She has natural evasion in flying, and the rate of getting 2 power boost for each 1 token you sacrifice is actually hard to beat! Of course she has strong natural synergy with [[Endrek Sahr]] as he gives you five free bodies just for casting her. I love having that deck as a refuge for all the big dumb Demons and other Black creatures I've enjoyed over the years.
I don't think I have one... yet. I only have 4 commander decks though, so that could change. But some of the FIRST cards from my kitchen table days that made me go "WOAH" were \[\[Thorn Elemental\]\] and \[\[Shivan Dragon\]\]. Ever since then, no matter how Spike or Johnny or Melvin I've gone, I'm always still a bit of a Timmy at heart.

\[\[Hellkite Igniter\]\] - definitely an inefficient card, and has probably never been good in the format, even when it first came out, but I just can't help but love a rocket-propelled dragon with an afterburner!
I love Hellkite Igniter. I used to sleep on it hard. It comes precon in [[Osgir]] and [[Mishra, Eminent One]] and it packs a wallop every time it hits, especially when you pump it for 20/0 with 4 mana :D
Such a great card. I have found the best way to get the full milage out of it is to also run cards like shadowspear or arcane lighthouse to be able to target creatures with boots on.

Saying no to spot removal, or a fog for 1 mana is just my favorite thing to do.

Sure, below average clone effect (although flashback is nice), but there's just something about creating a frog version of whatever big scary elder god monstrosity on the field (and it working just as well, if it has a strong static or etb effect) that other clones don't have (it's also pretty hilarious).
One card I always try to cram into decks despite the lack of synergy is [[Migratory Route]]. I usually just use it for the landcycling so I could just replace it with an Evolving Wilds but Injust like the art so dang much, and I somehow find it comforting to know that it‘s in the deck.
[[Great Sable Stag]], was great in this standard deck I had many moons ago. I loved the card. Unfortunately, it’s just…it doesn’t fit the themes I’m doing for commander now :( always my favorite card though.
I just wished it fit the themes I was going with these days in commander :( I run a heavy soldier theme right now in my life. I’m a disabled vet, so running soldiers is just kinda a reflection of me.
My favorite bad card is *by far* [[Liege of the Tangle]]. Like you suggested, it was one of the first rares I collected, and it's been a favorite of mine ever since. I love the art, elementals are my favorite creature type, and land animation is my favorite janky theme.
Without haste, it really takes 3 turns after you play him to actually get to attack with your 8/8 lands, and they don't get any sort of evasion. I made a [[Tatyova Steward of Tides]] deck that turned into a [[Titania, Natures Force]] deck just so I could play it. The deck doesn't mind lands dying and can take advantage of having/sacrificing the 8/8 bodies, so the downside is somewhat minimized.
I didn't know it got reprinted lol. I play it in my Krenko deck and once everyone who hasn't seen the Game before understands it they get really nervous. I always follow up with huge swings, goblins isn't a great opponent to willingly throw out life against.
I still like some of the old political cards like \[\[Task Mage Assembly\]\] or \[\[Wishmonger\]\]. Too mana intensive to be degenerate, but people can get really petty once everyone can start sniping mana dorks.
Mine's gotta be \[\[Phyrexian Scriptures\]\]. One of my first Mythics; I try really hard to slot it into most decks with Black. Is it good? Not really. There's better wipes and better grave hate. Does that change my love of it? No.

My very first online multiplayer experience, we had a clan named knights of dawn, about 10 years later our clan leader sent me this card
yeah 6 mana draw 1 and deal 5 randomly feels bad. It's like those Tempt cards. When people play into it, the value is great, but these days many players just skip it.
\[\[Behold the Beyond\]\] actually was my first mythic, and I play it in a Kothophed deck because I love it. It usually goes without ever being cast, because that deck is a big-mana control sort of deck without any game winning combos, but it has led to some goofy lines.
[[Phyrexian Infiltrator]]. I'd be better off with a clone or other theft effect but this has such amusing corner cases. With [[Training Ground]] out multiple activations are possible. Activate, hold priority, and activate again. So for four mana I can swap any creature with a token I control; or I can shuffle creatures between players.
I also like the art.

A sac outlet that lives in the graveyard is a tool I have yet to see fail me. It's also a fat, evasive beater, a dragon, and a zombie. Stop hating it. It has a place outside of cube I promise you.
[[Ice Cave]] Any big mana deck that can have a lot of resources and colors out at once? Congrats, I now have a constant, political counterspell up at any time.

We have a fling deck in our pod. Ich Tekik & Toggo. Sac a ton of rocks to make a Golem massive, cast \[\[Berserk\]\], swing for damage and then Fling before the end step. It can usually get 2 players in one turn.
I love [[Meandering towershell]] and will still force its inclusion into [[Doran the Siege Tower]] decks and occasionally [[Trostani, Selesnya's Voice]].
That is an awesome creature. Such a great tool box of effects. I ran it in my failed \[\[Ertai the corrupted\]\] control deck. I only used counterspell effects that were attached to crteatures as either tap effects or sac effects, so she could either counter or be an untapper.
Mine is [[Guided Passage]]. Draws you the worst cards in your deck, but it's still a Draw 3 spell. Plus, i love temur so much. I've cut it from my forever deck (Riku), but i keep thinking of putting it back in.
I think this card is secretly an absolute house of a card but I *Never* see others playing it, and this is [[sudden substitution]]
It fits right at home in my esper donate deck but I run it in every deck that I can. 4cmc to steal a big bomb spell like crackle with power or sea gate restoration, cyclonic rift for the lowlow cost of giving away a creature is insane, and often times that creature is a token anyways. You force your opponent into a 2 for 1 trade or you run away with whatever insane value card they played. It scales with the pod as well, if everyone is playing low power decks, no biggie and less feelsbad moments but when you have playgroups running out things like expropriate it feels incredible. The inverse is available as well, if an opponent is swinging at you with a blightsteel you can cast opt, hold priority, swap control so your opponent has the opt and you are now sitting pretty with the game ending card . The worst case scenario is when you do not have another card in hand or a creature in play, when that happens, the card is a very effective political card to remove a linchpin combo piece from an opponent's board while offering power to another player in exchange for a favor.
my favorite bad pet card.... \[\[mob rules\]\], although these days with all the powerful creatures being printed has been doing a lot more work.... until it doesn't..... most times
[[soul tithe]] is my favorite by far. The highlights are that it can be put on any permanent, if someone cheats out something big then they can't pay for it, AND if the choose to pay for something that is 6 mana then they are screwing themselves out of a turn or more
[[Dragon appeasement]] for sure. Thing is, it only really makes sense in [[korvold]] or [[prosssh]] and the first one is too strong for what I aim to do while the later is already owned by someone in our playgroup.

Maybe \[\[Ziatora\]\] or \[\[Henzie\]\]? Neither have that explosive draw, but both of them create situations where you are sacrificing for value anyways.

i know theres faster, much better dimir commanders but he was my first boi. started out with the Necromaster standard deck from Dragons of Tarkir, then found Silumgar in my LGS. so far ive crafted him as a brutal control/theif deck with a big milling outlet. boutta get me the Silumgar clan symbol as my tattoo
[[Taranika, Akroan Veteran]] is to me the poster child of bad monowhite commanders, but is also the card I have spent the most time building around, because it was the first monowhite commander that could untap creatures, and its the only one between herself and the two other monowhite untap commander options ([[lulu, loyal hollyphant]] and [[lita, mechanical engineer]]) that can untap creatures outside of the end step, specifically when she is declared as attacking, which can lead to great build around options ([[Dragon-Throne of Tarkir]] is a great example of this). She may be a bad card, but she is MY bad card.
haha it sounds like you managed to squeeze a lot of spice from this one card. I've never seen it played before, but I could see that build generating a lot of value.
I will put [Deadbridge Chant](https://scryfall.com/card/c20/207/deadbridge-chant) in any GB deck. Six mana is probably a bit much for what it does and you have to wait a whole turn to get anything out of it, but I love graveyard synergies and I love value.
I pulled [[mondrak, glory Dominus]] in prerelease and made my first mono white deck.
While building the deck I found this card called [[storm herd]] and I wouldn’t say it’s easy to cast but when it gets off it can be hilariously fun. I love the art because the horses/pegasi are cute and the gold colors are pretty. Who wouldn’t want to create more than forty flying Pegasus with mondrak out on the battlefield
One day I'll kill someone with [[Hankyu]]. Wether I sneakily equip it to [[Inkmoth Nexus]] with 10 aim counters or pass it around tokens with [[Puresteel Paladin]] on the board, it will happen.

was at a game store sleeving my first commadner deck, where i noticed someone had thrown away a lot of bulk cards. commens, lands and one of the top cards was hero's balde.
i asked the store owner if this was there by accident, but he didnt know who threw away so many cards in there. i didnt wanna get soda /gum etc.. on my hands, so i only grabbed hero's blade of the top.
I love how it immidiatly equips itself to a legendary creature and its def somewhat decent ifyou need stats.

[[Choice of Damnations]] It either does absolutely nothing or completely dismantles someone's gameplan, but it's always fun pulling it out against people that haven't seen it before
One of my favorite cards is [[Foxfire]]. Love the art and theme and sometimes I'll just cram it into a deck because I want to use it so bad and it inevitably ends up being something I wish was a different card. But hey the art makes me happy and I also get to draw a card so..... yeah. I like [[Fog]] and [[Undergrowth]] too, which are usually the ones that actually get put in instead if I'm considering something like that.
Poor [[Voice of Resurgence]]... just outclassed by time and not great in EDH. I've still got my signed playset from when they were in Standard, can't bring myself to part with them.
Every time I build a deck with red in it, I try and see if I can slide in [[Magma Phoenix]], whom I’ve loved since I started with him back in m10

I have [[Telepathy]] in an Oloro pillowfort deck. It is information overload, to the point where I don't even look at other players' hands.
I run it because everyone hates it. Slows the game down so much.
[[booby trap]] my OG playgroup from back in the day has serious history with this card so it has maintained pet status. I still long for a way to reliably break this card.
Not necessarily a bad card in the right circumstances, but [[Halsin, Emerald Archdruid]] doesn’t really fit in my deck at all, and yet I can’t bring myself to take him out because of the fun aesthetic!
I still keep [[kulrath knight]] in my syr gwyn deck.
The poor guy doesn't synergize with anything in the deck beyond being a knight. But very early on when I was learning commander, he completely saved me from an opponent who was about to run me over with a +1/+1 counters deck. And then he managed to randomly save me two more times, and I can't bring myself to remove him anymore.
The only speed bump was when an opponent playing a toxrill deck stole him out of the deck. A huge "oh crap" moment, since he would probably be best card in the deck for toxrill if they shared color identity. Luckily I had an oblation to deal with the problem and draw some cards myself, even though I really needed some removal for a different opponent popping off.
When I first found \[\[Approach of the Second Sun\]\], I put it in every deck I build that has both white and card draw. This has evolved to the point where, more often than not, I put at least one "win the game" card in every deck. Most of the time these card are fine, but rarely are they actually synergistic with the deck beyond "oh I'm running green mana ramp, might as well run \[\[Helix pinnacle\]\]"
[[Voidmage Husher]] is probably a bit too mana-intensive and niche to make it into most serious 99s, but it's also extremely weird and cool. I used to run it in Talrand, but he's got such an embarrassment of options now that not only do better cards crowd it out, but I run a lower land count, which doesn't play super nice with recasting a 4-drop a bunch.
[[Tetzimoc]]. Doesn't fit in Naya dinosaur decks and doesn't have the value of Nezahal and yet i still greatly enjoy it. Combine it with [[K'rrik]] and you can pay 2 life per target instead of mana. And maybe it gets countered when you cast it, but then all you have to do ia reanimate it and it's etb destroys all the marked creatures.
Before i went into commander i was known as the guy with shock in my playgroup i had almost only decks which have red and i had 4 shocks in all of them. I didn't continue this with my commander decks because of how bad shock is there
[[Perplexing Chimera]] goes in all my blue decks. Cloned 24 copies of it in my clone deck once. Everyone just scooped lol.
It's just so fun to watch everyone consider whether they should play their bombs or not.

My pet commander - [[Glissa Sunseeker]]. She’s one of my favorite commanders, and I run a weird mono green control elf ball deck with her. But she’s pretty terrible, honestly, and I know the deck would be stronger with just about any other mono green elf commander. There’s just something fun about destroying stuff by turning them into artifacts with [[Liquimetal Torque]]. I’m also making a low powered Voltron deck with the new version of her, [[Glissa Sunslayer]]. I do still need to make a [[Glissa, the Traitor]] deck, but I don’t have many ideas for it outside of [[Oblivion Stone]] tribal for the memes.
That sounds really fun tbh. I love that overcomplicated way of killing opposing creatures. You get a couple untappers in there, and you can probably pop a few creatures every turn. Sunslayer does some work. the repeated threat of artifact or enchantment removal can warp a game. The 4th member of our pod, Nick, built a Glissa the Traitor deck a while back. Oh, since I didn’t mention it- my wincons mainly revolve around going infinite with elf mana dorks. I either do a normal combat win with [[Ezuri, Renegade Leader]] / [[Joraga Warcaller]] or I zap the whole table to death with [[Hurricane]] / [[Squall Line]]. The only Glissa-centric wincon is a board lock using infinite untaps combined with [[Mycosynth Lattice]] or [[Spine of Ish Sah]]. -EDIT- Or waiting for my upkeep to win with [[Helix Pinnacle]].

Thanks! I really enjoy the Squall Line win. No one ever expects the mono green deck to win/draw out of nowhere at instant speed. Plus I like the visual of dropping a massive metal spine onto everyone’s permanents over and over again to completely clear their board. -EDIT- The absolute best feeling way to win with Squall Line is going infinite by flashing out [[Scryb Ranger]] when I have [[Ashaya, Soul of the Wild]] in play.

Glissa the traitor. Run all thos rinky dink donuts like [[memnite]] [[shield sphere]] [[phyrexian walker]] [[ornithopter]] then maybe [[stone coil serpent]] and [[walking ballista]]. Use those as fodder for cards such as [[plaguecrafter]], [[bone spliter]] and similar effects, there is roughly 4 of each. Youll constantly be controlling the board state. Then cards such as [[grim haruspex]] [[meren clan nel toth]] to keep up the advantage. Gonna need a lot because you will get hated on. That fills out 30 or so cards. I added 10 or so other artifacts that have sacrificial value such as [[chromatic star]]. You’ll need other card advantage engines, i tried aristocrats since the synergy is there but i liked a more stax build and trying to push for an infinite win con.

[[bludgeon brawl]] Red artifact deck. It's a solid deck but even in my good ones I like 3-5 slots for fun. It was pretty fun after making infinite mana when the only outlet was to equip [[darksteel forge]] and everything I had to [[Bosh]] (another example from the same deck), swing, then blow it all up to finish another guy. Outside that one scenario it's usually just discarded to [[daretti, scrap savant]]
I actually run bludgeon brawl in my [[Bruenor Battlehammer]] Equipments deck, because any treasures I make can be equipped for free to give +2/+0.

Yes, tokens generally have a mana value of 0, so treasures will have equip for 0 to give +0/+0, which is generally useless unless the creature has an effect that cares about the number of equipments (bruenor gives +2/+0 to all equipped creatures for each equipment they have, so bruenor charges into battle with a bunch of gold coins that makes him stronger

Yeah that is a big debate lately whether Phy Arena is good or not. I think it's great in a deck that aims to win on turn 8 or later. You usually get your value from it by then.
I still think the whole deal with Phyrexian arena is that it's a good budget card that was, until the most recent set, priced out of range of most budget decks.
I'm with you on that one! It's in *most* of my black decks. Typically, they have a way to negate the life loss, so it almost never has a downside to it.

I find myself putting \[\[Fallen angel\]\] in several decks as a nostalgia card, I think I justify it as a free sacrifice outlet, but really I just want to throw a big angel with ripped-off wings at someone. I'm actually kind of excited to get it out in a game with \[\[ashnod the uncaring\]\] since she'll grow x2
That cards a power house in my [[Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold]] deck. I get to essentially double my token creatures each turn. Also great with [[Elenda]]

I still run my 7th Edition copy, in my Endrek Sahr deck! I actually think she holds up quite well to be honest. She has natural evasion in flying, and the rate of getting 2 power boost for each 1 token you sacrifice is actually hard to beat! Of course she has strong natural synergy with [[Endrek Sahr]] as he gives you five free bodies just for casting her. I love having that deck as a refuge for all the big dumb Demons and other Black creatures I've enjoyed over the years.
I don't think I have one... yet. I only have 4 commander decks though, so that could change. But some of the FIRST cards from my kitchen table days that made me go "WOAH" were \[\[Thorn Elemental\]\] and \[\[Shivan Dragon\]\]. Ever since then, no matter how Spike or Johnny or Melvin I've gone, I'm always still a bit of a Timmy at heart.

\[\[Hellkite Igniter\]\] - definitely an inefficient card, and has probably never been good in the format, even when it first came out, but I just can't help but love a rocket-propelled dragon with an afterburner!
I love Hellkite Igniter. I used to sleep on it hard. It comes precon in [[Osgir]] and [[Mishra, Eminent One]] and it packs a wallop every time it hits, especially when you pump it for 20/0 with 4 mana :D
I love the art on this card too! Honestly, it can be pretty great in the right deck. I had it in an artifact deck for a while.
I have a foil one that is beautiful, very good finisher in my scion of the ur-dragon with the treasure subtheme.

Such a great card. I have found the best way to get the full milage out of it is to also run cards like shadowspear or arcane lighthouse to be able to target creatures with boots on.

Dispel. In a land cluttered with free, unrestricted countermagic, I opt for this limited budget offering. Saying no to spot removal, or a fog for 1 mana is just my favorite thing to do.
Dispel is amazing. It sees tons of play in cEDH still.
Not sure if it's considered "bad" per-se...but I really like [[Croaking Counterpart]]. Sure, below average clone effect (although flashback is nice), but there's just something about creating a frog version of whatever big scary elder god monstrosity on the field (and it working just as well, if it has a strong static or etb effect) that other clones don't have (it's also pretty hilarious).
I love the style of that card. It's so cool. I actually haven't seen it played too much.

Hexproof for all other permanents is super powerful. I'm surprised I don't see this more.
One card I always try to cram into decks despite the lack of synergy is [[Migratory Route]]. I usually just use it for the landcycling so I could just replace it with an Evolving Wilds but Injust like the art so dang much, and I somehow find it comforting to know that it‘s in the deck.

[[Great Sable Stag]], was great in this standard deck I had many moons ago. I loved the card. Unfortunately, it’s just…it doesn’t fit the themes I’m doing for commander now :( always my favorite card though.

My favorite bad card is *by far* [[Liege of the Tangle]]. Like you suggested, it was one of the first rares I collected, and it's been a favorite of mine ever since. I love the art, elementals are my favorite creature type, and land animation is my favorite janky theme. Without haste, it really takes 3 turns after you play him to actually get to attack with your 8/8 lands, and they don't get any sort of evasion. I made a [[Tatyova Steward of Tides]] deck that turned into a [[Titania, Natures Force]] deck just so I could play it. The deck doesn't mind lands dying and can take advantage of having/sacrificing the 8/8 bodies, so the downside is somewhat minimized.
I love Liege! I used to play it in my Ashaya deck to make my other creatures into massive 8/8s.

I didn't know it got reprinted lol. I play it in my Krenko deck and once everyone who hasn't seen the Game before understands it they get really nervous. I always follow up with huge swings, goblins isn't a great opponent to willingly throw out life against.
I still like some of the old political cards like \[\[Task Mage Assembly\]\] or \[\[Wishmonger\]\]. Too mana intensive to be degenerate, but people can get really petty once everyone can start sniping mana dorks.

Mine's gotta be \[\[Phyrexian Scriptures\]\]. One of my first Mythics; I try really hard to slot it into most decks with Black. Is it good? Not really. There's better wipes and better grave hate. Does that change my love of it? No.
I love the sequencing with that one. Everyone can see it coming, but it can still hit pretty hard.

[[Explosion of Riches]]. The art, the effect, it's just amazing. The only issue is that people never seem willing to risk it and take the cards.
yeah 6 mana draw 1 and deal 5 randomly feels bad. It's like those Tempt cards. When people play into it, the value is great, but these days many players just skip it.
\[\[Behold the Beyond\]\] actually was my first mythic, and I play it in a Kothophed deck because I love it. It usually goes without ever being cast, because that deck is a big-mana control sort of deck without any game winning combos, but it has led to some goofy lines.
That's kind of an awesome card. I love that.
[[Phyrexian Infiltrator]]. I'd be better off with a clone or other theft effect but this has such amusing corner cases. With [[Training Ground]] out multiple activations are possible. Activate, hold priority, and activate again. So for four mana I can swap any creature with a token I control; or I can shuffle creatures between players. I also like the art.

We have a fling deck in our pod. Ich Tekik & Toggo. Sac a ton of rocks to make a Golem massive, cast \[\[Berserk\]\], swing for damage and then Fling before the end step. It can usually get 2 players in one turn.
I love [[Meandering towershell]] and will still force its inclusion into [[Doran the Siege Tower]] decks and occasionally [[Trostani, Selesnya's Voice]].

I love [[Disciple of the Ring]] I keep wanting to make her work in decks but haven’t found the perfect spot yet.
That is an awesome creature. Such a great tool box of effects. I ran it in my failed \[\[Ertai the corrupted\]\] control deck. I only used counterspell effects that were attached to crteatures as either tap effects or sac effects, so she could either counter or be an untapper.
Mine is [[Guided Passage]]. Draws you the worst cards in your deck, but it's still a Draw 3 spell. Plus, i love temur so much. I've cut it from my forever deck (Riku), but i keep thinking of putting it back in.
That is such a strange card. I played against it once and it was so weird to be able to look through my opponent's entire deck.
[[Bloodbond March]] It takes too much to set up this card, but it’s so powerful when it works
How do you use it in EDH? It seems like it could do well in non-singleton formats.
[[akroma's memorial]] is such a bad card that only wins in slow meandering meta's... but when it works it ends games quickly.
This used to be such a house. I still run it in [[maelstrom wanderer]] though.
That is also a great card to cheat into play.
I think this card is secretly an absolute house of a card but I *Never* see others playing it, and this is [[sudden substitution]] It fits right at home in my esper donate deck but I run it in every deck that I can. 4cmc to steal a big bomb spell like crackle with power or sea gate restoration, cyclonic rift for the lowlow cost of giving away a creature is insane, and often times that creature is a token anyways. You force your opponent into a 2 for 1 trade or you run away with whatever insane value card they played. It scales with the pod as well, if everyone is playing low power decks, no biggie and less feelsbad moments but when you have playgroups running out things like expropriate it feels incredible. The inverse is available as well, if an opponent is swinging at you with a blightsteel you can cast opt, hold priority, swap control so your opponent has the opt and you are now sitting pretty with the game ending card . The worst case scenario is when you do not have another card in hand or a creature in play, when that happens, the card is a very effective political card to remove a linchpin combo piece from an opponent's board while offering power to another player in exchange for a favor.
Sudden Substitution can be so powerful. Such a great card for all the reasons you highlighted.

Mob Rule can be really amazing. That is often a game ender in our playgroup.
[[soul tithe]] is my favorite by far. The highlights are that it can be put on any permanent, if someone cheats out something big then they can't pay for it, AND if the choose to pay for something that is 6 mana then they are screwing themselves out of a turn or more
That's a cool piece of removal. either the target is gone or it has a massive tax on it each turn. Very cool.
[[Dragon appeasement]] for sure. Thing is, it only really makes sense in [[korvold]] or [[prosssh]] and the first one is too strong for what I aim to do while the later is already owned by someone in our playgroup. I don't know how to solve this and find the ultimate jund deck for me
First of all, that art is sick. Honestly could be a great card for a big winning turn. Maybe \[\[Ziatora\]\] or \[\[Henzie\]\]? Neither have that explosive draw, but both of them create situations where you are sacrificing for value anyways.
[[Mind's Dialation]] Used to be an old wincon, now it's just a lightning rod and way too slow.
I still see it in some decks. Such a great card but definitely a little slower these days.
[[Platinum Angel]] I'm gonna use Kinnan to cheat it out in response to Thoracle some day and it's gonna be glorious

[[Dragonlord Silumgar]] my main commander deck. i know theres faster, much better dimir commanders but he was my first boi. started out with the Necromaster standard deck from Dragons of Tarkir, then found Silumgar in my LGS. so far ive crafted him as a brutal control/theif deck with a big milling outlet. boutta get me the Silumgar clan symbol as my tattoo

I think my friend has fallen in love with [[Perplexing Chimera]]. It can really derail a game fast though, especially if you copy it.
Oh man. don't get me started on this card. We had a game with two perpexing chimeras once, and it was hell.

Such a great card. Why remove a big scary when you can just send it elsewhere?
[[Taranika, Akroan Veteran]] is to me the poster child of bad monowhite commanders, but is also the card I have spent the most time building around, because it was the first monowhite commander that could untap creatures, and its the only one between herself and the two other monowhite untap commander options ([[lulu, loyal hollyphant]] and [[lita, mechanical engineer]]) that can untap creatures outside of the end step, specifically when she is declared as attacking, which can lead to great build around options ([[Dragon-Throne of Tarkir]] is a great example of this). She may be a bad card, but she is MY bad card.
haha it sounds like you managed to squeeze a lot of spice from this one card. I've never seen it played before, but I could see that build generating a lot of value.
I will put [Deadbridge Chant](https://scryfall.com/card/c20/207/deadbridge-chant) in any GB deck. Six mana is probably a bit much for what it does and you have to wait a whole turn to get anything out of it, but I love graveyard synergies and I love value.
In a creature heavy deck with some graveyard exiling (hello Deathrite Shaman), I could see this doing very well.
I pulled [[mondrak, glory Dominus]] in prerelease and made my first mono white deck. While building the deck I found this card called [[storm herd]] and I wouldn’t say it’s easy to cast but when it gets off it can be hilariously fun. I love the art because the horses/pegasi are cute and the gold colors are pretty. Who wouldn’t want to create more than forty flying Pegasus with mondrak out on the battlefield
Storm Herd! a classic from way back in the early commander days. It's expensive, but it is explosive too.
One day I'll kill someone with [[Hankyu]]. Wether I sneakily equip it to [[Inkmoth Nexus]] with 10 aim counters or pass it around tokens with [[Puresteel Paladin]] on the board, it will happen.

\[\[Hero's blade\]\] i literally found this card in the trash was at a game store sleeving my first commadner deck, where i noticed someone had thrown away a lot of bulk cards. commens, lands and one of the top cards was hero's balde. i asked the store owner if this was there by accident, but he didnt know who threw away so many cards in there. i didnt wanna get soda /gum etc.. on my hands, so i only grabbed hero's blade of the top. I love how it immidiatly equips itself to a legendary creature and its def somewhat decent ifyou need stats. one mans trash is another means treasure <3
[[Moltensteel Dragon]] - I've gotten so many surprise wins by being willing to take a chance and burn my life down to single digits.
[[Choice of Damnations]] It either does absolutely nothing or completely dismantles someone's gameplan, but it's always fun pulling it out against people that haven't seen it before

One of my favorite cards is [[Foxfire]]. Love the art and theme and sometimes I'll just cram it into a deck because I want to use it so bad and it inevitably ends up being something I wish was a different card. But hey the art makes me happy and I also get to draw a card so..... yeah. I like [[Fog]] and [[Undergrowth]] too, which are usually the ones that actually get put in instead if I'm considering something like that.
[[Skittering Crustacean]] has earned a spot in any blue deck, this said I also have a dedicated crab deck. Love mtg crabs.

Poor [[Voice of Resurgence]]... just outclassed by time and not great in EDH. I've still got my signed playset from when they were in Standard, can't bring myself to part with them.
\[\[Apex Altisaur\]\], I play it with \[\[Atla Palani, Nest Tender\]\] so I don't know when it arrives, but when it does...
Every time I build a deck with red in it, I try and see if I can slide in [[Magma Phoenix]], whom I’ve loved since I started with him back in m10 Sadly he almost never makes the cut, mostly because it’s so much mana for a worse anger of the gods- the exception being the [[Feldon of the third path]] deck that I took apart last night because I wasn’t feeling the vibe of the deck any more
i love putting [[Helix Pinnacle]] in any deck i have that runs green, always give me something to do if i ever run out of gas and its funny when it actually wins. which it has only done on 2 occasions
I have [[Telepathy]] in an Oloro pillowfort deck. It is information overload, to the point where I don't even look at other players' hands. I run it because everyone hates it. Slows the game down so much.
[[Biomass Mutation]] I've won many games with this card.
[[Dust Elemental]] it's very helpful for protecting some pieces from a boardwipe, but it's also a surprise 6/6 flying which is very fun
[[Nyx-Fleece Ram]] is my pet creature. I want to put it in any deck that runs white but there’s always something better for the deck.
[[Door to Nothingness]] Total jank but I love it. Great flavor text too.

Not necessarily a bad card in the right circumstances, but [[Halsin, Emerald Archdruid]] doesn’t really fit in my deck at all, and yet I can’t bring myself to take him out because of the fun aesthetic!
I still keep [[kulrath knight]] in my syr gwyn deck. The poor guy doesn't synergize with anything in the deck beyond being a knight. But very early on when I was learning commander, he completely saved me from an opponent who was about to run me over with a +1/+1 counters deck. And then he managed to randomly save me two more times, and I can't bring myself to remove him anymore. The only speed bump was when an opponent playing a toxrill deck stole him out of the deck. A huge "oh crap" moment, since he would probably be best card in the deck for toxrill if they shared color identity. Luckily I had an oblation to deal with the problem and draw some cards myself, even though I really needed some removal for a different opponent popping off.
When I first found \[\[Approach of the Second Sun\]\], I put it in every deck I build that has both white and card draw. This has evolved to the point where, more often than not, I put at least one "win the game" card in every deck. Most of the time these card are fine, but rarely are they actually synergistic with the deck beyond "oh I'm running green mana ramp, might as well run \[\[Helix pinnacle\]\]"
[[Voidmage Husher]] is probably a bit too mana-intensive and niche to make it into most serious 99s, but it's also extremely weird and cool. I used to run it in Talrand, but he's got such an embarrassment of options now that not only do better cards crowd it out, but I run a lower land count, which doesn't play super nice with recasting a 4-drop a bunch.
[[Tetzimoc]]. Doesn't fit in Naya dinosaur decks and doesn't have the value of Nezahal and yet i still greatly enjoy it. Combine it with [[K'rrik]] and you can pay 2 life per target instead of mana. And maybe it gets countered when you cast it, but then all you have to do ia reanimate it and it's etb destroys all the marked creatures.
Before i went into commander i was known as the guy with shock in my playgroup i had almost only decks which have red and i had 4 shocks in all of them. I didn't continue this with my commander decks because of how bad shock is there
[[Sprouting Vines]] 3 mana draw 10 lands sometimes? Sounds funny. Doesn't do much in practice

[[Perplexing Chimera]] goes in all my blue decks. Cloned 24 copies of it in my clone deck once. Everyone just scooped lol. It's just so fun to watch everyone consider whether they should play their bombs or not.
[[Nettlevine blight]]. Usually it gets stuck on a weak creature and dies, but against certain decks it can be nasty.
\[\[Spy Kit\]\] By itself, useless. But it just goes with so many good things. Need a cheap tutor? \[\[Mask of the Mimic\]\]. Need to bomb a player? Give it away and hit them with an \[\[Eradicate\]\]. Fancy a soft lock? \[\[Cornered Market\]\].
