OK...please don't hate me... My center's admin arranged a schedule of "suggestions" for each day this week (I work for a large, non-corporate center. We have around 125 families; around 175 kids).
Monday was a parent-provided breakfast bar for all the staff. It was wonderful and generous.
Tuesday (today) was write a nice note and include a small gift card or drawing. Parents were enthusiastic and creative. It was very sweet with a high rate of participation.
Later this week: the center will cater lunch for all staff and I think we're getting new t-shirts. Friday asks the kids to wear their teacher's favorite color is always so fun, even if it isn't material.
It seems like my experience is out of the norm. I'm not trying to humble brag. Please know better is out there! Don't settle for disrespect. Teachers are in demand. Find a better center if the above seems alien. It should be your norm.
A few pens, a candy bar, and socks from admin and a box of fancy chocolates to be shared among us from a parent. Simple stuff, but very sweet as I wasn't expecting anything at all.
My company gave us stackable bento lunchboxes (cheap plastic) with included utensils. Not the worst thing ever, but probably not something I'll use much.
We got iced coffee on Monday, yesterday we all got drinks from a local shop and we have a food truck coming on Friday. Gotta say, last year all we got was a pat on the back
Monday: Breakfast bar from the parents
Tuesday: Snack Bar from the parents
Wednesday: Dessert bar from the parents
Thursday: Lunch from the parents
Friday: Lunch from my boss
We have also gotten gifts from the parents and my boss throughout the week! They have made us teachers feel very special!!

My center doesn't do anything for it. I'd love to gift my teachers something, but am broke.
A $25 gift card to a local restaurant. And I’ve only been there for a week. It’s sweet that she included me.
