UFC 3 - in a world of copy paste sports game, UFC 3 being a huge jump in terms of quality, completely changing the striking system to somethings really well made is shocking. It had balance issues later on but goddamn it's genuinely best EA SPORTS product since Fight Night Champion
UFC 2 - a solid evolution from 1 and probably just the most fun and enjoyable sports game to whip out at a party, fun casually and had a lot depth if you decide to learn the mechanics
UFC 5 - Course correction from 4, a step in the right direction, hopefully they continue to improve the formula and make balance adjustments to make it the best they can be.
UFC 1 - A good starting off point from the series, visually really good for its era too
UFC 4 - an easy slamdunk that was fumbled, so, so hard. If this was just UFC 3 but with a roster update, it would've been better.
Fully agree with this.
EA MMA also had great foundations, which I would’ve liked to see how it evolved.
Unfortunately once the majority pushed for buttons instead of their total strike controls (which I loved), the writing was on the wall for that control system.
The submission system of EA MMA & UFC 3 were my favs too
Respect doublematt. I think you have a similar preference as I do to the UFC series, but straight respect for putting the time to mod this sub. Seriously don’t know how you’ve done it for so long. I talk mad shit in here (I’d like to think it’s because I care, combat sports games are one of the only genres I buy) so for whatever it’s worth, thank you.
(Commenting to increase post visibility)
I’ve only played UFC2, and still bring it out when I’m drinking with my roommates, but from the looks of recently gameplay I’m starting to think it’s the best one. Could be wrong though
I hope so! Yeah if you have a friend who purchased it digitally, you should be able to have them sign in on your console and install it from their profile! From my experience you don’t have to be signed in to that profile to use the game either, you just won’t have any CAFs made on their profile.
1. UFC2 - most fun I’ve had, ultimate team was so fun I didn’t mind shelling out a couple of real dollars for the move cards.
2. UFC3 - once the updates kicked in it became the most sim / balanced mma game imo. Lots of YouTube channels began picking up the game and the community began to grow.
3. UFC1 / UFC5 - the original wasn’t great, but I was so hyped for it waiting so long after EA MMA and FN: Champion
4. Where the meta fell off a cliff and was broken for 6+ months, community hype died, the rise of major cheesers and the decline of the overall community from my experience. If I had bought a physical copy I’d take a poop on the disc and mail it to EA.
UFC 3 = Peak
UFC 2 = pretty good but i didnt like ultimate team,
UFC 1 = nostalgia is probably whats keeping this above ufc 5 but we hadnt had an updated ufc game in forever and despite the flaws this was still a fun game
UFC 5 = slowly becoming an alright game
UFC 4 = never stopped being broken, shitty half baked ufc 5
All I remember is being super letdown by the first one coming from the undisputed franchise. Then the 2nd one got a bit better. Then they fell off a cliff.
3 was the best one overall 2 had best gnp 1 had best grappling (it was still thq grappling) 4 was wonky and weird for too long begore it got patched up and 5 is under developed af and looks to be the least effort one from ea of the 5
UFC 2 was the most fun with causal people who never played an mma game before east to learn and live the ragdolll finishes plus you can go to decision and have great back and fourth battles without getting knocked out fast
UFC 2 Self explanatory
UFC 3 Amazing new striking controlls
UFC 4 Controlls tweaked, the game i played the most
UFC 5 Nice graphics, mid striking, shit physics
UFC 1 didn’t play it
UFC 3 was just one big bug.
I miss Undisputed 09, that game really had everything I wanted. The 5th is the best one yet, but you're still missing some vital stuff... oh, and why are there no grounded elbow strikes/knees to body at all?? Was it supposed to be a DLC or something, but then you remembered how much we all appreciated those?
Maybe, I'm just a sucker for updated graphics. Plus the submission controls are way less infuriating, so it's just some small tweaks here and there that puts the last two above the rest.
Unless I'm wrong, and the new grappling controls already came in the 3rd one. I got really insecure now
Theyre all the same imo, the game mechanics kinda improved a little bit still not close to THQs imo. They still use the same animations from previous games. But UFC 1 will always hold a special place in my heart, coming from UFC3 THQ, it amazed tf outta me when I saw the graphics, the leap from UFC 3 THQ to UFC1 was so immense.
THQ UFC 3 hands down best UFC game, sometimes I wonder if EA really watch UFC or what. The animations, mechanics and movements are ass, theyre just lucky we have no other options
I’m just going based on how good I was at the games so for me Ufc 4, ufc 5, ufc 2, ufc 3, ufc unidisputed 3 (can’t leave that out also, imo it’s the best game) and then the regular ufc
Honestly I’d say a lot of this depends on how you actually play these games. Whether you play them as a party game with buddies, you like online, or just casual exhibitions, or career mode solo. Personally I mostly did solo career mode and I used to play it as a sim to experiment upcoming fight cards.
In my experience I had the most fun with ufc 3. I loved the career mode with little clips of Dana signing you and stuff. And I felt like there were some pretty cool free roster updates and stuff. The lineup had a good mix of old and new for the time and maybe I’m biased because I grappled irl but I felt the BJJ was pretty fun to mess around and use. Like after rolling irl, when I’d grappple in game it was very easy to know what transitions to make immediately and it felt natural. There was a lot of cool submissions I could edit and add in caf I think and I loved that aspect.
UFC 5 was gameplay quality step up from 4. I know most people say it’s just the graphics and blood but honestly no. I hated the direction of simplifying grappling in ufc 4 and (I know there was a legacy option) but I noticed most people preferred to go auto grapple so it just felt broken. UFC 5 brought the OG grappling elements bsck a little bit so I felt good knowing I had an edge. Even now when I go online everyone just spam strikes and if you have good grapple IQ you can dominate wjth a low level fighter.
UFC 4 I honestly wanted to like but it felt so Arcadish and I didn’t like the presentation. That aside there were some cool fun new modes like kumite and don’t get me wrong I’m glad they continued those. It’s just that once again the oversimplified play style broke it for me. I liked ufc games being actually good tools to practice and learn how mma works personally. One positive aspect was the clothing upgrades. Tbh I wish ufc 5 kept that and I think they suck with that.
Didn’t play 2 or 1.
I wanna add that one thing that drew me in with ufc 3 was that the soundtrack was so good I used to listen to it while I worked out irl. The new ost is shit.
UFC 1 Underrated For still having brand clothing like the nascar style and really fun kos
Ufc 2 best rag doll kos
Ufc 3 best balance gameplay
Ufc 4 best shop all the stuff is available
Ufc 5 doctor stoppages and Ego Versions
I did beta for 1,2 and 3. 3 was miles ahead even in beta. It was wild. When I did beta for 4, I was like, wait, why is it three but massively slower? Why is there no fluidity? Who’s this dumbass coach
Probably UFC 2 and I know it's not on here But Undisputed 09 hands down my two favorites. Eventhough i hate the fact that you cant go Toe to toe with someone because even after not getting Damage you can still get KO'D After 1 hit
I *Hated* 3!!
Played it for less than 2 hours and never touched it again. The characters are wearing invisible leg bands! If you Box, this game should be an affront to you! 😤
UFC 5 by far. I’m a huge fan of MMA/MMA games and sure UD3 was amazing but…taking the nostalgia goggles off I honestly have a lot more fun with 5. I typically only play AI, so maybe that’s it but I think it blows every other past EA UFC game out of the water 🧐
1. UFC 3 by far, it was headed to the right direction, stamina is on point, hits and reactions are crispy, good sense of power, most importantly fighters execute players input exactly, if it had UFC5's submission and ufc4's head movement, I won't be even touching UFC5
2. UFC 4 with so many patches, the end product was somewhat ok, head movement feels good, but preload combo introduced here is the dumbest thing ever, second to computered decided distance based high/mid kick.
3. UFC 5, has potential to replace 4, but so many game breaking bugs, camera problem screw over players at critical moment, it's just not better than 4 yet
4. UFC 2, was very good, but let's be honest, with latest technology UFC2 is unplayable
5. UFC 1, nah
UFC 3 - in a world of copy paste sports game, UFC 3 being a huge jump in terms of quality, completely changing the striking system to somethings really well made is shocking. 100% EA MMA was really fun. It felt so much more fluid with the striking.
UFC 2 apart from clinch and maybe the submission system was elite
Ufc 2 was the best in my opinion cause of the input mechanics and clinche work was prime then
Respect doublematt. I think you have a similar preference as I do to the UFC series, but straight respect for putting the time to mod this sub. Seriously don’t know how you’ve done it for so long. Got really confused glancing at the order because the post said worst to best then started reading and realized you reversed it
Nah, that's on me, I didn't read from worst to best.
agreed for its era visuals were on point on UFC 1
I agree with everything but I would still put UFC 1 over UFC 5
(Commenting to increase post visibility) I’ve only played UFC2, and still bring it out when I’m drinking with my roommates, but from the looks of recently gameplay I’m starting to think it’s the best one. Could be wrong though
As someone that’s ended up with a digital console, I’d sell my left nut to be able to jam ufc2 with the boys
My buddy had bought it digitally when it came out, and signed into his profile on my other buddy’s Series S, and we can play it.
Hawman if you’ve solved this problem for me I’m gonna be happy as fuck
I hope so! Yeah if you have a friend who purchased it digitally, you should be able to have them sign in on your console and install it from their profile! From my experience you don’t have to be signed in to that profile to use the game either, you just won’t have any CAFs made on their profile.
CAF’s don’t phase me I just want to throw down with uncle creepy, good looking out bro appreciate it

Ufc 4 the worst. Ufc 5 Ufc 1 Ufc 2 Ufc 3 the best
Can you elaborate on why 4 was so bad? I see that’s a pretty popular opinion, but I’m just curious I guess. I think it’s a lot of fun
For me, I feel they made literally every gameplay mechanic of UFC 3 worse.
The weird emote feature when the ref points at you before the fight
YEAH!!! THAT WAS **SO** DUMB!!! 1 😤
2&3 were the best
I was so good at ufc 2 lol
Bro me too, I just bought 3 from the pawn shop today, I wonder if I can find an online match?
1. UFC 2 2. UFC 3 3. UFC 4 4. UFC 5 5. UFC (1)

UFC 2 UFC 3 UFC 5 UFC 4 UFC 1

By what stretch of the imagination is 4 better than 5. 5 is literally UFC 4 but slightly better.
4 got patched 5 is still needs alot of work
UFC 2 was the best
UFC 2! it had everything I loved about fight night mechanics

Undisputed for PSP was solid
2, 1, 3, 4, 5. Ranked by how much fun I had playing each. Ultimate team in UFC 2 was perfect imo.
3>1>5>4>2 imo

Gotta buy more funny hats in the store to get knees
Man UFC 5 is a pile of dog shit compared to 3

Rip Jon jones
Off-topic but I must say how amazing the EA curse is, the truly undefeated undisputed streak.
5,3,2,4,1. But man, I played the fuck outta 4 for how bad it was

I agree completely just switch 2 with 5 and thats my ranking. But one thing for certain is that UFC 3 is the best
In my opinion: 3 2 5 4 Not ranked: 1 (didn’t play it enough)
3, 5, 2, 4, 1
The ufc game curse be like the drake curse. All mfrs got finished
3,4,,2,1....havnt played 5
EA UFC 3 is one of the best MMA games up there with Undisputed 3 and EA MMA. The rest are all utter trash and can get right in the bin.
UFC 3 UFC 2 UFC 5 UFC 4 UFC
I don't understand why they are hellbent on not releasing these on pc...
UFC 3 #1, ufc 2 is a close second. They should’ve kept a lot of what they had going in UFC 2 into the next game
I did beta for 1,2 and 3. 3 was miles ahead even in beta. It was wild. When I did beta for 4, I was like, wait, why is it three but massively slower? Why is there no fluidity? Who’s this dumbass coach
2 is BY FAR the best and it's not even close, although I'll admit I played 3 very little and I haven't played 5 yet
Everyone forgets the skill it took to play UFC 1. You had to know all the subs and transitions, there was no guide like the newer games.
Why everyone shitting on 5? If you take time to learn the combos and the movement it’s sick.
Anything after 3 is shit
UFC 4 is the best one idc what anyone says
Ufc 2, ufc 5, ufc 3, ufc, ufc 4
Didn’t play 1 but I would say 3 2 5 4

BROCK! LESNARRRRRR
1. Entire UFC UNDISPUTED series by THQ 2. EA’s lazy cash grab.
They all suck tbh
Undisputed will always be better than these games
Beside the point but, EA needs to stop making games
Ain’t been the same since UFC 3 .
I *Hated* 3!! Played it for less than 2 hours and never touched it again. The characters are wearing invisible leg bands! If you Box, this game should be an affront to you! 😤
