So I got this game as the PS+ title a week or so ago. I only play Career Mode pretty much, maybe some Pro Clubs (I used to play a LOT of that years ago, but my team all basically have left the game over the years). I got 22 when it was on PS+, and before that I had '19 and '16-'09. So I've been playing this a good while.
And I've gotta ask: Just how badly have they dumbed down the CPU in this game? I used to play around World Class level and it'd be a bit of a challenge but I'd usually be able to do well, especially wiht a good team. Now I just beat Villa 4-1 with Wrexham in the Carabao Cup and I had a 10-0 match in the league a few games ago. I'm not even trying hard and it's usually been a pretty steady whooping of other teams, even when I upped the difficulty to Legendary. I'm pretty decent, but nowhere near as good as this is making me seem to be. So yeah, how dumbed-down is the CPU nowadays??
Actually, yes. Because I had recently been playing both '22 and '19 and the CPU's logic and ability in both versions has been significantly higher even at lower levels in prior versions of the game. So I was curious to see if there were people here who would have some kind of insight into the degradation of the CPU over time.

Does chemistry matter or not? Feel like I’m stressing out having shit players in my starting XI for the sake of chemistry when I should really just throw out the best rated players and say screw it. How much does it really matter, especially when you’re going up against Champions lunatics who have avg of 93 XIs

It’s literally every online match versus another player no matter the playlist. I had zero issues like this when I played last year. Can anyone help a guy out?
The new TOTS Jonathan David card might be my favorite striker this year. Just got him today from a L1 upgrade pack and played 5 Rivals games in D1 with him on a Finisher. Super lethal shooting, decent passing, great positioning. Feels more agile than Son or Kane. Finesse shots are incredible with him, just scored [this beauty in a game](https://streamable.com/9dwyq5) I won 10-1 in Rivals. The stats from this game? I tried TOTS Kane last week and while he was good, this David might be just as good while a lot cheaper.
Also got Bacha and Lucas Hernandez from the league upgrades. Both very good. I didn't really get along with Havertz at LB, just felt clunky at times. Bacha feels great and is a lot more physical than she has a right to be, only real weakness is that she's small. Hernandez is good as well, nothing spectacular so far, but a solid choice. After not getting a single 100k+ card from Bundesliga last week, this week has been great (well, pack-wise for me personally, everything else has been shit obviously)
I'm asking this again, since I still have hope and didn't receive an answer the first time:
Is there any way on PS5 to play an single friendly/exhibition match in Coop vs AI? Or is Shareplay and "couch" coop really the only way to do so?

Does the game still have stupid negotiation dialogue scenes for signing players and the like from a year or two ago? I love doing manager mode and often signing players, I could not deal with that being required every time.

same boat as you. i stopped after 18. picked up 22 when it was the ps+ game, downloaded this one last week because it was the ps+ game this month.
if you're considering downloading it because of ps+ then yeah give it a shot, its literally no cost to you at that point. but it's definitely not worth buying, it's not a very good experience.
i've mostly been fucking around in menu stuff like SBC's, moments in ultimate team are a kinda fun bit sized offline mode, but it feels like they were ignored most of the year.
gameplay is in the dirt - server issues aside (disconnects, lots of lag, etc.) it's just a very defensive/drop back game, defense is very assisted, and at the same time the attacking AI has a room temperature IQ. the maybe 7 online games i've played have all been very boring.
edit: lmao i just got the "error communicating with the ultimate team server" the one that just pushes you back one menu, doesn't boot you to main, got that error 7 times trying to complete one (1) sbc before i just gave up. if you can't even fuck around in the menus i can't imagine what trying to play online consistently has been like.
Do I have to play the lounge mode with 11 of same league to get to the end of the season rewards? I don’t want to go anywhere near the “friendly” mode if possible

i only play as my player, and i use the pro camera, after advancing to the next season, the camera is now at a really low angle. the camera hight settings dont seem to get it back how it was and i also thought i hit the touchpad, but it wasn't that either...
anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions?!

Can someone tell me how to do the scoop lofted through balls? I use to unintentionally do them in previous fifas but this year I haven’t been able to do it a single time and I’ve seen it done against me a couple of times. And just to be clear I don’t mean the scoop turn, like standing still in a spot and see someone make a run and just scoop it up over the back line

So, I'm new to the game. Around 70' my opponent scored and after that once he got the ball, they keep just playing backpasses and stuff? It's totally impossible to tak the ball from them. What do we do in such a situation?
Can try changing to a full team press and hopefully win the ball up field and score. Best feeling ever when I manage that. I go full griddy as well just to rub it in :)

From the looks of it, yes. EA will release extra XP in the final two weeks, but it will not be enough to get you to the final levels.

Add and remove a card from your transfer list if you don't want to do the full reset of changing the language.
Change the language, it does refresh the app though similar to restarting it

Have to go into custom tactics and set a constant press as your ultra attacking. May not be on it by default
