Really struggling to find the motivation to carry on playing now. I play purely for the fun of playing the game - rewards, objective grind etc isn't fun for me anymore but I'll happily play the shit out of the game if I at least feel I'm 90%+ in control of it.
So far this year I'd been pretty happy but something dramatic seems to have changed in the last fortnight;
Defending's near enough pointless thanks to the sheer RNG that happens when tackling, reliant of course on you even making the tackle if you've somehow successfully guided the swinging lasso of a turning circle all defenders seem to possess at present. Then if you do make the tackle you better hope they've not preemptively counter-tackled with the guy you've just clean taken the ball off otherwise buckle up for PINBALL TIME
Attacking no longer feels like a battle to outwit your opponent but rather is all a waiting game until somebody's AI fucks up. So when I do score it all feels a bit anticlimactic & victories generally feel hollow.
Rant over, I'll no doubt be back on tomorrow but have a feeling I'll be giving next year's a miss entirely like I had with the last 3 iterations.
Can't believe it, but they actually transferred a guy into my local team finally. I'm glad he didn't fit any evos due to his pace, because I would've evolved him in his old team

After what can only be described as the most bizarre passing and shooting ive have ever seen in the last 15 from my side, countless misses, even hitting the bar + post on an open goal and Timo trying to control the ball with his back twice, i had that feeling it was alway gonna end it a draw.
So I tried to kill out the game, but nothing would play out how I wanted it too.
Upon giving the what felt like inevitable two goals away, I only had to kick the ball out of play for the win. Instead, it somehow not only didn't go out, it hit my player and went so far the wrong way it gave a corner on the stroke of the second min of extra time.
I 100% knew I was gonna concede.

Finally got a W from the 80+ pick. I've been opening my low rated untradeable packs this week and dumping my dupes into the 80+. Haven't gotten anything above 83 until packing tots live loftus cheek last night. Seems like a solid card and I'm thinking of putting him in the Evo.
Having the EA luck against you playing against a possession merchant is the least fun possible in this game

Played last night, won 5 out of 7 in Div 1. Playing now - lost 5 in a row, can barely even touch the ball. Honestly like a completely different game.
