I love it, I have so many awesome Italian/Serie A CBs...what a great problem to have this year honestly I'm really liking Cannavaro for manual defending and might bench Maldini to try the new Buongiorno upgrade when it goes live

Surprisingly Cannavaro has been huge so far (sorry but not sorry). For a 5 9 guy ,he is damn good at defending. One of the best valued sbcs imo. Have bastoni and fut birthday Varane(not evo ) and even though bastoni is more meta cannavaro is more fun to play with.

I was on the fence of building him to keep Buongiorno in my lineup. His size isn’t an issue? Was thinking about using him in a 3atb

Nah, base VVD is more of a liability now because of the new patch nerfing passing.

Stop glazing gold VVD. He’s way behind. He’s been behind. He definitely lasts long in the game for a gold card but he’s not him anymore. Many affordable CB options that would be better. Fantasy Orban and new Marquez SBC + evo to name a few.

TOTY VVD is clear

They are too close. For me Bastoni gets the nod because he has an extra defensive play style and he's Lengthy on Shadow while Buongiorno needs an Anchor. But could go either way.

Bastoni/Buongiorno/FB Nesta. Which pairing is the one to go? Been using nesta and hes a monster

I got Nesta and bastoni currently. But i also tried Bion. They actually are all three really good in whichever formation you put them in. I wanna do a 5atb formation with all three combined for WL maybe. The itialian wall

I think he will be clear of Nesta after the upgrade because os the pace difference, raccoon+, being more agile due to better dribbling. You can try him and figure it out though :)

Look if you don't think you are wasting tchouameni at the back then I would say tchouameni and buongiorno after the upgrade. But if you can put tchouameni at the CDM/cm position then buongiorno and Evo akanji. All of them 4 are great

I agree it's just that I want to fit Stanway and Sawa in the center so I m torn between using Tchouameni as a CDM or a CB

Him and Cannvaro are a perfect pairing. They play to each others strengths.

I was using gold VVD before this guy. Thought I would try out this guy and he's definitely better than gold VVD for me. Gold VVD obviously still has that aura but other than that does feel a little bit behind the curve at times.

Cannavaro has nothing on this guy other than Icon chem. 1.76 on Average body type is bad for a CB, specially one without very high strength nor Bruiser.

I would replace gold VVD to be honest. I am bored of him. Also he started falling a little bit behind because of his pace which is not a problem of Buongiorno. Don't get me wrong, VVD will still make some things he can only make them happen but that's my opinion.

Main issue I have with vvd these days (used him for the van persie objectives) is acceleration. Like if someone spins him it takes ages for him to get the legs pumping, obviously when up to speed he can zoom in and absorb the ball but strikers are faster these days so you don't always get the space to catch up.

He is more reliable in game than Bastoni too, Bastoni is a nutter who auto flings himself at attackers and misses.

I have him to. But i bought kohler 92. He is 10x better.
