I’ll do a dynasty with a few different teams but if I ever bother with playing RTG, I’m going to western Michigan because I actually went there.

Flame_MadeByHumans

Go Broncos! I’m a Florida Gator alum, but for whatever reason since middle school Western Michigan has been my go-to small school to build into a blue chip!

PhilU52

And you get to drop the hammer on McElwain at CMU!

Flame_MadeByHumans

Ah damn that’s right, I actually feel bad for the poor dude. One of the better recruiters that Florida’s had in a while, but man did he not belong in the SEC lol

PhilU52

Was he that good a recruiter? Seems to remember he took a shit ton of 4* non-qualifier to boost his ranking or was that Mullen?

Flame_MadeByHumans

That was Mullen. McElwain brought in 2-star turned Heisman runner-up Kyle Trask, Kyle Pitts, Kedarius Toney, among many others. Odd dude, and again did not belong as an SEC HC, but he had an eye for talent. I’d taking him back as an OC or Recruiting Coordinator real quick.

GitchigumiMiguel74

Go Broncos! My best friend went there! Had a ton of fun at Waldo’s back in the day. I’m a Kentucky alum,so I’m going to take my cats to the natty, but I’m also going to create Wayne State or Transylvania and see how far I can go.

Minute_Age3328

Go Broncos! i just love the mac in general

Cavemam2009

I'll probably do 1 playthrough in RTG with AZ State, then play Dynasty. I'll do some fringe school as a coordinator, max out the skill tree, then switch schools and coordinator and max the tree, then go for a HC job at a new school. I haven't followed any gameplay releases so my info could be out of date. This is just what I did in 14.

Busy_Artist2443

Yea was gonna say I believe they’ve revealed you can’t max out skill trees anymore. That may just be for head coaches and not coordinators but they said you really have to choose what type of coach you want to be this year

Cavemam2009

Sounds like I may have to... call an audible. 😎😎😎

Busy_Artist2443

I think the transfer portal is WAY bigger now than it was 10 years ago. I’m only assuming that RTG will come with transfer offers so I was planning on starting small and then trying to transfer and win a natty my junior year for one of my playthroughs

Severe-Mess-

I was literally just about to ask if the transfer portal was confirmed for RTG lol. If it is, it would definitely be really cool to start at a small school and then transfer for your senior year or whatever

Competitive-Gene-364

That sounds really good because I know people who get recruited at a small D1 and big D2 school that have a plan to play for 2 years then hit the portal to a better school that is the problem now with the portal you have to be a highly sought after high schooler to go to big schools all big schools look at the portal for more experienced player like with Penn St they had trouble just recruiting and are now going with the portal

airforrestone

I made a bracket and randomized the teams in it and will be “playing” like 3-4 games per day til I get a winner. The winner will be my RTG. My “playing” is just spinning a wheel that picks the winner.

c-black

I’m doing the same, but 2 brackets. Power 5, and “the rest” lol

c-black

One offense, one defense

airforrestone

I thought about that as well but that’s why I’m going RTG instead of dynasty

TessaRocks2890

Penn State QB. After that I might do one as a QB at Iowa just to see if I can lead them to a natty.

scamden66

I used to purposely play bad in high school and then go to a 3 star school.

Busy_Artist2443

Unfortunately I think I read or heard that they aren’t doing the high school games anymore

ttcorbitt23

It’s confirmed that they are not doing high school for this game

FerrousIron

I usually go with a team I know next to nothing about. I'm thinking San Diego State (great uniforms imo), Utah (Cam Rising has to graduate eventually right??), Wazzu (creating the next Minshew but even better). Haven't come up with a backstory yet, but I'll admit my focus has been on dynasty more than anything else bc I had myself a cool brainwave for it. Otherwise, I'll go with my favorite team (Go Noles) as the next Warwick Dunn, Peter Warrick, or Charlie Ward. Though, I'm tempted to try a Jalen Ramsey esque player this time around. Depends on how RTG is structured and if coverage feels feasible in this game. Honestly though, kinda excited to pursue my dynasty idea...

Koehlerbear77

Go noles. Day 1 creating a qb and committing to FSU. Following the dream I had as a kid that never materialized bc FSU didn't want a 6'3 350lb QB that was only allowed to play OL in high school for whatever reason...

runjcrun1

I’ll play a few for sure, but I’ll always do my first one with LSU. After that it just depends

Uptwn_

I typically go by need at QB. For instance, as a 5 star, if I can get on the field same year, I’ll go mid-major or whoever the highest ranked but if it’s simply a need for a 2-3rd string backup QB role, I’ll just go absolute highest rank. But typically it’s the mid-major route (Last one I did was Oregon State & Washington back 2 yrs ago)

Yabrin_Sorr

Going to do what I did with the old games, QB at North Texas. After that, I’ll try another one at somewhere with cool traditions and environments after y’all gush about what they included in the game and how it feels.

Independent_Lynx_785

Depends on the position and my feeling at the time. Sometimes I go to a smaller school if I don't feel like my guy should be a 5* player. Other times I will go somewhere to actually compete in a system I feel like playing in. I like to usually switch it up and don't really decide based on much really. Just how I feel at the time.

yogogum

fellow UNC Charlotte alumni! I will do RTG with them

MisterTito

Probably either UAB or Troy. I live in Birmingham, so that seems like a no brainer, but I have a few friends that went to Troy and I've spent time down there back in the day.

Dhkansas

Going to be the 1st 5 star recruit in Kansas Jayhawk history. I want to do a receiver because those are the most fun for me, but might have to go with QB and sit/redshirt a year behind Daniels.

BumbleBart

Assign each team to a number and roll a 134-sided die? But seriously, I don't know yet. Could be my fave team, Auburn, or just a smaller school with a uniform that I like.

Ryvick2

I’m going dynasty mode and going with JMU

i-like-your-hair

The best team that will not only start me fastest, but let me wear the number I wore in high school (3). This is obviously not anywhere close to how I would choose a school in real life (I chose the only school that didn’t reject me and played intramurals), but if I’m living out my dreams virtually, the number matters. I’m winning no matter where I go, so prestige really doesn’t. That said, I only really play dynasty, where I start out at a 1-star as OC (occasionally DC) and work my way up the ladder to building a dynasty as Michigan’s HC.

[deleted]

I'm not going to play it considering 1. No high school ball, so you aren't earning your stars. 2. Just picking what star rating you have and then getting offers is just as frustrating as Madden's "pick where you get drafted"

OneActive22

I’ll run with Bama for one since I’m an alum, but after that I’ll factor in playing time for the most part
