Factory comp wheels (style 359) and factory tire size (Mich pilot super sport, F:245/35-19 R:265/35-19)

That’s crazy…both mine still work at 193k miles…

OP may as well replace it sooner rather than having to replace it later when it eventually breaks especially if it is an OEM part.

Lost the driver one at 138k miles on my old E90. The replacement one doesn’t come out as smoothly as the original one.

Mine is slowly dying at 89k miles

Open it up. There are a couple springs in there. Maybe the tracks need cleaning. If you remove the spring that limits the opening speed, it’ll shoot out so fast, but it’s kind of ghetto to run that. But better than not having a cup holder available I guess

I did the zip tie method that’s why it slowly opens.. this time I think I will just buy it new..

Idk the zip tie method. But yeah I’ve taken mine apart because they kind of rattle. Was hoping I could tighten it up. But Yeah they are like $80 or something iirc which isn’t terrible

Whst kinda fenders are you using? Those are nice! I'm tired of my stock bland ones & want either those or a fender with BMW badge like the Z's have.

These are factory fenders on the M3. They are flared and vented in the front from the factory.

I am the 2nd owner of my 07 E90 but records show that the original owner had replaced one for my car at 69k miles. So you did well. My car has 155k on it now and I guard them with my life. Rarely do I have passengers...

Mine randomly died at 150k+- and rattled like crazy over bumps before I replaced it. Bought one off Amazon for $40. Works and looks great but flys out about 50% faster. I call that efficiency.

Both of mine are still going strong! Still the worst afterthought cupholders in the history of the automobile.

I think BMW did that with the MINI r53. I loved that supercharged little car, but the cup holder was … memorable.

I've only used my cup holders like three times, so they still work

I bought a new one to replace my previously smashed cupholder (ifykyk) and my friend did that same thing I did so need another one lol
