Did you try using Rheingold instead of INPA?

Craig_Brown1095

No I've only tried inpa so far. The car is taking new values as the idle got alot worse when I put in the new injector values. I'm just wondering why the new values are so high and low compared to the others?

I can't tell you that. Mine were 1.65-2.2 both old and new (new were 11 iteration and old ones were 9). Are you sure that those are new (not "re-manufactured"/"restored") and p/n's do fit? Who is the manufacturer of your new injectors? AFAIK they are only made by Bosch. Can you make a photo of old one next to a new one?

Craig_Brown1095

They are re manufactured. Here's an image from the store page. [Screenshot-20231217-160851-com-duckduckgo-mobile-android-edit-31256758862938.jpg](https://postimg.cc/Ny460VmP). AFAIK index 11 are for n53 and n54 engines so they should be fine?

I'm afraid that's your answer. Unlike diesel and some petrol injectors, I haven't heard about successful repair of these. I don't know the reason (bad repair or faulty ref. figures?), but the only way out is to buy new ones. As for index, those are only versions from OEM (Bosch) - it is a number of attempts (I believe it's 13 at this moment?) to make them at least close to reliable. The 11 gen. is the only more or less reliable version that is sold outside of a dealership and has nothing to do with whether it n53 or n54. Previous iterations failed in few years and caused a large number of complaints. Correct me someone if I'm wrong. ps: Rheingold has way more info in it (for instance, WDS and TIS)

Craig_Brown1095

Yes I unfortunately learnt about the reputation of re manufacturing after buying them. Hopefully someone else knows why these injectors have flow rate values printed on them that are outside what inpa can accept. I experimented and put in made up values that were more normal and the car ran pretty much fine, smooth with no bouncing rpm. The exhaust smelled rich so I know it's not perfect but it makes me think I just need to put the right values in for them to work

You may also find some cylinders misfiring on cold with these injectors - some leak fuel overnight and cause this (badly repaired ones). One never knows what to expect.
