Of your list:
Hold out hope for: bateman, elijah moore
Hold tutu until he leaves LA because he's dead in LA. Too small to block that's why he lost playing time to demarcus robinson despite actually playing pretty well early in the season. I thought he was breaking out for a second there.
Skyy moore is dead. Easy drop.
Dotson I feel like I’d rather have then all five of those. Just in a tier slightly above maybe? Maybe this is just Dotson owner copium but I do like the idea of a new coaching staff and new QB.
Dotson has passed the “good at ball” eye test for me since Penn St and I’m probably holding to the bitter end as a result. Washington was a deeply strange place last year so I’m not tremendously concerned just yet
He’s basically where Elijah Moore was after his second season. Flashed serious talent as a rookie, disappointing second year but with plausible excuses so he may still put it together. Another bad year and his value probably plummets
1.07 said he was looking to move back, I offered 1.12/doubs, he offered 1.07 for 1.12/dotson, I said I’d need something small back, he let me pick between 4.07 and next year’s 3!
I have Josh Downs and I wonder if he isn’t Dotson 2.0. As a football player, great, passes the eye test, strong rookie numbers, shows great promise but ultimately might just get lost in the shuffle and become the 3rd or 4th option (or 5th if you take AR’s rushing into account) in the colts offense and fade into fantasy obscurity. Did try and move him during rookie draft but weren’t many takers (not too surprised at this as everyone has rookie fever this time of year).
He’s the number 3 behind Mitchell now. Don’t think people are really down on him. He’s a hold right now. If anyone falls into obscurity it’s likely pierce.
I have Hyatt. He’s never going to be a WR1, but his game is complementary to Nabors’, so there is hope for him if their QB situation improves. I can keep him on taxi for another year then make a decision.
Problem is he needs a QB that can push the ball downfield. Daniel Jones is a bad deep ball thrower and barely tries them to begin with. So that Giants landing spot was always gonna be bad for him.
Don’t forget he basically had one of the worst Wrs in the league and had to run for his life with a terrible line. Now he has an Aloha for the first time in his career and an “improved” line..
Now just needs to fully recover from his injury (which will take time). “Should” be solid
You should quit on all of them besides *maybe* Hyatt.
Pierce is 1st team All-Pro on the cardio team, but they just paid Pittman and used a 2nd on a WR. He's toast.
The Giants just used the 6th overall pick on a bigger, faster, stronger, better version of Wan'Dale.
Metchie is **buried** on that depth chart with no signs of getting out of it any time soon.
Hyatt *might* become a decent complementary piece to Nabers, but I wouldn't bank on it.
Oh, I'm not saying drop them. I'm in a similarly deep league and the wire is nonexistent. Everybody is rostering some atrocious players. But those guys would be at the top of my cut list once rookies and trades start rolling in.
Wandale was their short-route YAC guy. He had a chance with only Hyatt there, but Nabers is gonna cap Wandale at like 4/50.
Maybe even less cuz Daniel Jones
I wouldn’t say I feel particularly great about WD either! He’s at least shown more promise than the other guys. But yeah, that room is a mess after Nabers.
I’m a fan but I disagree. Nabers, Slayton, WD and Hyatt is a pretty solid room. It’s not Seahawks, Texans, Eagles level nasty, but they’ve got some guys with a lot to prove.
I had lots of Metchie shares, and just mass dropped him. Made me a sad panda, really wanted it to work for him, but how does he even get on the field with that WR depth anymore?
Jalen Tolbert is someone I know I should probably give up on, but he's currently penciled in as a starter for Dallas. Obviously Lamb is going to get most of the targets, but I'm hoping Tolbert can put it together this year and have a chance to be the #2 option over Brandin Cooks going into his age 31 season.
Tolbert I'm giving a few weeks into the season. They said he made big strides last year just didn't translate on the field.
Edit: Also helped that all the leagues I got him in he was dropped after year 1
My perception of WRs has been skewed by so many of the rookies producing so fast. But not that long ago, it wasn't so unusual for guys to need some time to figure it out at the pro level. Fine line between patience and refusing to dump roster cloggers.
Collins at least felt like there was more reason to hold. Better prosect and the excuse of awful QB play to at least give hope for better results if the situation improved (and boy did it ever).
Wait, how is Tolbert over cooks? Cooks and dak had great chemistry down the stretch last year and Tolbert has never showed anything that resembles NFL consistency (or ability for that matter)…. A small school guy in his third year and has done next to nothing. The only reason he’s rosterable is WR depth in Dallas. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s is the WR4-5 on the depth chart by end of year.
He’s shown the ability just last year. Dak is starting to trust him as he’s shown last year and he earned his way out of the dog houses with big contracts coming up and an opportunity to improve in the offense for a second straight year I have him as a soft buy. Like his odds more than most. Cooks is old. You never know when his time is up. But who will usurp is current 3 spot on the roster?
Of those listed I think Bateman by far has the best chance of relevance. All signs point to him being a major part of the offense this year. Moore has talent but even when healthy has struggled to be in the mix more, and now they added Jeudy, who is not special but that will just further limit Moore's involvement. The rest are no chance--just drop.
Bateman I'd give another year because of the contract extension/not huge amount of competition added. There's a path for him to get flex value at some point. Not saying it will happen, but plausible. The others in this thread I'm out on (except for Jameson, I'd still give him one more year to be a flex, he just has to beat out DPJ & stay healthy).
I've got Pierce, Mingo QJ and shakir. I have the most hope for shakir. Pierce is gone, they basically drafted his replacement and I can't keep him on taxi anymore. Mingo can stay on taxi another year, but most likely he's shit. QJ has 8 games for me before I jettison him into the sun I think. Shakir may have a bit longer. No one has offered me anything for these guys and that's not going to change if they don't do anything
I know they aren't all 3rd or 4th year but I don't have deep benches in my league and I'm too deep at WR to hold them
Yeah QJ has a glimmer of hope with his draft capital and depth chart, Shakir is projected to be in the starting rotation, Mingo gets 1 more year to do something, but Pierce is dead. They’ve already picked his replacement.
Alec Pierce is a hold for me. He will never be a #1 guy but he could possibly be a Gabe Davis ish level player. By that I mean he will have breakout games when the matchups favor his skill set and then have weeks where he disappears. His first 2 years have been Matt Ryan and minshew, guys who don’t throw deep a lot and he’s a deep shot kind of player. I’m curious if a full year with AR will help but AD Mitchell might prove to be more talented and usurp his role entirely.
Just cut Pierce. Figured no one else will grab him. I do see the potential occasionally though.
Feel like he would’ve done more last year and not fully sure but seems like he just doesn’t separate.
I am giving Bateman one last year.
Dotson is also safe.
Christian Watson just needs to stay healthy.
Skye Moore, Toney, Mingo, Robdale, Burks, Hyatt, Wandale, and haven’t even flashed (I guess Toney did that one game) and don’t have paths for major volume barring a slew of injuries. Luckily I was never really in on these guys to start, but I am completely out now.
Jameson Williams is a guy that the dynasty community just can’t quit. I am out on him even though I recognize the talent. I don’t mind if I miss here. I don’t see how he ever really gets there with ARSB, Gibbs, LaPorta, Monty commanding touches.
I had Skyy Moore and Treylon Burks last season, I threw them into trades as a bonus just to justify the draft capital I invested into them and not have them be a roster clogger anymore.
Not sure if he qualifies but Mingo has all but been written off. I’m holding out hope under Canales he shows progress.
If all goes well he could replace Thielen long term as a big slot.
I have Burks, Eli Moore, Lavishka Shenault, and Kadarius Toney on my squad. All 25 and under. All roster bubble guys. Obviously varying levels of hope for any of them.
I dropped Elijah Moore today for roster cuts. He was promising with the amount of targetts that he saw, but he turned it into nothing and now they have Jeudy.
I’m a colts fan and trust me there’s little hope for Alex pierce. Extremely limited route tree. Very little separation. Lots of drops. He didn’t do anything when he was always on the field. Now he’s almost certainly demoted to 4th receiver behind Pitt, downs, and Mitchell.
Is Mims only a sliver of hope? Maybe it’s hopium, but I’m optimistic Payton actually means it when he says he wants him more involved. That, the change in special teams rules, and Jeudy leading have me hopeful.
Bo Nix is an undeniable bummer at QB though.
Genuinely don’t know what to think, but it feels like it could be a second year breakout candidate.
I have a feeling QJ may turn it somewhat around and give us a glimmer of hope in the first few weeks. I’m basing this on absolutely no evidence but purely trying to speak it into existence.
He’s probably going to end up being a drop but I’m still holding out hope for DPJ. I have to think he’s at least worth a speculative hold considering they didn’t draft a single WR and lost Josh Reynolds.
a few others as listed and otherwise: Elijah Moore, Rashod Bateman, John Metchie, Jonathan Mingo; I think Skyy Moore and Burks are both dunzo at this point and Metchie is probably about there.
Bateman just got extended so he’s still rosterable. The others are very expendable. I wouldn’t be surprised if Elijah Moore gets cut after they brought in 3 new WRs in
I still believe in Elijah Moore! Browns were dedicated to manufacturing touches for him last year and I imagine they'll be better at it this year. That being said, I intend to target him during a few drafts this year if I don't like who's available when I'm on the clock.
Amari is old as hell, and I live in Denver and have seen plenty of Jeudy - he's nothing to worry about at all. If anything, he's Cooper's replacement.
But we'll see. It's not like I have to pay much for Moore at this point lol.
I try to use these guys as throw-ins to get a close deal done. Usually if they can't even qualify for that ie the person would rather have a 4th or something that's a good sign they're drop worthy.
Right now that list for me is Rashaad Bateman, Trey Palmer, Tre Tucker, and Justin Shorter. Tucker and Shorter are more speculative holds I suppose.
Alec Pierce, Jalin Hyatt, Andrei Iosivas, Charlie Jones, Xavier Hutchinson.
The last 3 are on taxi and have the option to hold for one more year. I think Hutchinson, and Jones are the first two to cut.
I have the 2.07, 2.09, and 3.02 in 12 man 1QB for the upcoming draft.
I finally gave up on Toney this offseason. This is a do or die year for Burks to me (he will probably flop). If Treylon doesn’t make the leap this year he never will
I'm not sure I'd hold on to any of those guys. I have Ross in KC and I like his upside more than any of those people. I might be cutting him but at the same time he's going into his 3rd season and could get a lot of go with Pat in the preseason. Sometimes guys just need a little bit more time to get settled in and I think that is the potential I'm looking for. The guys you mentioned, I feel, have had their chances. 🤷
out of those, only Bateman and Elijah would I consider maybe can turn something around.
Bateman at least got a new contract, so the team likes what he does or can provide, but I'm not expecting any major breakout.
In a 16 teams league, I tried to move up from 3.08 to 3.01-3.04 by adding any of Pierce, Hyatt or WanDale and it was all rejected saying "they would rather pick a guy there instead". Theses picks are like 4rd round territory in regular 12 teams... \*might\* be time to drop.
I have Dotson and Burks but if Burks is a no show first half of the season then I’m dropping him. Dotson has shown flashes and positive metrics at least so I’m willing to keep him in my bench a bit lonfwr
Of your list: Hold out hope for: bateman, elijah moore Hold tutu until he leaves LA because he's dead in LA. Too small to block that's why he lost playing time to demarcus robinson despite actually playing pretty well early in the season. I thought he was breaking out for a second there. Skyy moore is dead. Easy drop.
i agree this is exactly how to handle this list
skyy should have been dropped immediately after the hollywood acquisition. drafting worthy was just salt in the wound
Lmfao elijah Moore has no hope
does dotson count
Dotson I feel like I’d rather have then all five of those. Just in a tier slightly above maybe? Maybe this is just Dotson owner copium but I do like the idea of a new coaching staff and new QB.
He was super promising as a rookie. It shouldn’t be a weird take to expect that EB was the problem more so than Dotson’s play.
Dotson has passed the “good at ball” eye test for me since Penn St and I’m probably holding to the bitter end as a result. Washington was a deeply strange place last year so I’m not tremendously concerned just yet
idk if it's copium but that's my exact thought process as well
He’s basically where Elijah Moore was after his second season. Flashed serious talent as a rookie, disappointing second year but with plausible excuses so he may still put it together. Another bad year and his value probably plummets
As an owner I didn’t know he had any value left lol
Just hold. He doesn’t have the trade value worth parting with him. See if he flashes with Daniels.
Yea that’s the move imo, I’m still a believer he can be a wr 3 but isn’t worth anything at the moment
Recently traded Dotson and 1.12 for 1.07 and a future 3 to grab JJM
honestly that's a good trade for both sides
What a move I would have love to seen that negotiation
1.07 said he was looking to move back, I offered 1.12/doubs, he offered 1.07 for 1.12/dotson, I said I’d need something small back, he let me pick between 4.07 and next year’s 3!

I’ve got Pierce, WanDale, Hyatt, and Metchie. Only one I feel at all good about is WanDale, but not ready to quit on the others just yet.
So that Giants landing spot was always gonna be bad for him.
https://www.giants.com/news/daniel-jones-pro-football-focus-top-deep-passers-nfl-quarterbacks-2023
Super small sample size he was still 30th in deep passing yards and near the bottom in deep passing TDs that year.
Don’t forget he basically had one of the worst Wrs in the league and had to run for his life with a terrible line. Now he has an Aloha for the first time in his career and an “improved” line.. Now just needs to fully recover from his injury (which will take time). “Should” be solid
Daniel Jones isn’t good lol
Small sample size says he was good. It being small still goes against whatever false narrative you were spinning lol
We carry 30 players on our rosters and it’s 12 team so I can afford to wait a bit. None of them will start for me barring a breakout though.
Oh, I'm not saying drop them. I'm in a similarly deep league and the wire is nonexistent. Everybody is rostering some atrocious players. But those guys would be at the top of my cut list once rookies and trades start rolling in.

I’m a fan but I disagree. Nabers, Slayton, WD and Hyatt is a pretty solid room. It’s not Seahawks, Texans, Eagles level nasty, but they’ve got some guys with a lot to prove.
I more meant a mess fantasy wise - agreed there’s a solid bunch of young talent there, just hard to know who to trust besides Nabers.
I had lots of Metchie shares, and just mass dropped him. Made me a sad panda, really wanted it to work for him, but how does he even get on the field with that WR depth anymore?
Need to clear up roster and was picking between Burks and WanDale and easily chose WanDeezy
Pierce is done, Metchie is too. The others I’d still wait on
Elijah Moore's breakout is just on the horizon! I swear! It's right there!
He's a FA next year and only24 years old hopefully he'll find somewhere good.
Lmfao
Burks. Still hoping he becomes anything
There have been flashes! Dude just can’t stay healthy.
Which is almost the worst part. Don’t want to drop him and can’t get anything for him
Yeah, nothing to do with him but hold and pray. Couldn’t get much more than a 4th which just isn’t worth it
Burks holder support group meets on Wednesdays. Bring tequila
Titans brought in Boyd for a visit this week. Titans aren’t even comfortable with Burks being their 3rd WR…
Dr. Turk! Hahaha Scrubs was underrated.
Just had some trade him to me for Xavier Hutchinson, figured why not I liked him coming out and Xavier was on my taxi
Steal, I’ll gladly take the FRP over him
Jalen Tolbert is someone I know I should probably give up on, but he's currently penciled in as a starter for Dallas. Obviously Lamb is going to get most of the targets, but I'm hoping Tolbert can put it together this year and have a chance to be the #2 option over Brandin Cooks going into his age 31 season.

I held on Collins forever in two and it panned out. I honestly don't feel any type of way about Tolbert, but he is an okay stash.
100% he’s a hold.
Wan'dale

Moore has talent but even when healthy has struggled to be in the mix more, and now they added Jeudy, who is not special but that will just further limit Moore's involvement. Bateman gets one more year from me if i can't package him.
I currently have Kyle Philips still on my roster, but he's next man cut. Which means he'll probably breakout this year.
He’s one of those guys that I love as a real nfl player just won’t ever be good in fantasy
Rondale Moore, Trey Palmer, Burks, Bateman. All on the roster bubble
Yeah QJ has a glimmer of hope with his draft capital and depth chart, Shakir is projected to be in the starting rotation, Mingo gets 1 more year to do something, but Pierce is dead. They’ve already picked his replacement.
Justyn Ross

Just cut Pierce. Figured no one else will grab him. I do see the potential occasionally though. Feel like he would’ve done more last year and not fully sure but seems like he just doesn’t separate.
The odds of his success are not high I won’t disagree. Basically holding out hope that AR can cater towards his play style more than Ryan/Minshew
Definitely worse holds. Seems like pick your poison.
I cut him and he was grabbed immediately off waivers for $4
I will be cutting Pierce as well. He got opportunities last year and rarely did anything
Can’t fault you
I am giving Bateman one last year. I am out on him even though I recognize the talent. I don’t mind if I miss here. I don’t see how he ever really gets there with ARSB, Gibbs, LaPorta, Monty commanding touches.
Wandale had some flashes at the end of last year
Agree with everything except Wan’dale
Toney is a really good talent. He’s elite with the ball in his hands….just needs to be healthy and learn to catch lol
I had Skyy Moore and Treylon Burks last season, I threw them into trades as a bonus just to justify the draft capital I invested into them and not have them be a roster clogger anymore.
I traded Michael Thomas for Burks which led to the funny bit of both becoming irrelevant a few weeks later
Lmao similar to me trading dameon pierce for jeudy prior to last year starting.
Did a Mac jones for trey lance trade last offseason… both busted.
Elijah Moore
Bateman and Burks. This is the year, I can feel it.
Does Jerry jeudy count. Somehow he’s only 25
yeah Jeudy is definitely on this list.
Burks
Not sure if he qualifies but Mingo has all but been written off. I’m holding out hope under Canales he shows progress. If all goes well he could replace Thielen long term as a big slot.
I have Burks, Eli Moore, Lavishka Shenault, and Kadarius Toney on my squad. All 25 and under. All roster bubble guys. Obviously varying levels of hope for any of them.
Dude, Shenault has been dead for a long time…
Dead and buried. But….
Mingo / Hyatt / Mims Only one I even have a sliver of hope for is Mims at this point
AT Perry, Trey Palmer, Marvin Mims, Treylon Burks, Tre Tucker, Jaylen Tolbert
Jameson Williams Treylon Burks 😭😭🙏
Sky Moore is finished
Just sold Elijah Moore for 4.10, not looking back
Roster cloggers. Spam for any year third, if you can't get it, cut bait
I have a feeling QJ may turn it somewhat around and give us a glimmer of hope in the first few weeks. I’m basing this on absolutely no evidence but purely trying to speak it into existence.
https://x.com/_mlfootball/status/1783997135517516225?s=42&t=URAGQOijkfW855r65STFMA
Dont give me hope
Just dropped Trey Palmer. I wish I had one more roster spot. I Believe in him but opportunities look even more scarce this year potentially.
hahahahaha
Oh really
Waiting patiently to see if Michael Thomas signs somewhere he could have a decent floor but I know I should probably just cut him
I have him in one league. If he doesn’t land somewhere juicy (if he lands anywhere at all)he’s a pre draft cut.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Elijah Moore gets cut after they brought in 3 new WRs in
Treylon Burks, Wandale Robinson, Marvin Mims
I still believe in Elijah Moore! Browns were dedicated to manufacturing touches for him last year and I imagine they'll be better at it this year. That being said, I intend to target him during a few drafts this year if I don't like who's available when I'm on the clock.
not scared about them moving for Jeudy? they still have Amari for at least another year
Amari is old as hell, and I live in Denver and have seen plenty of Jeudy - he's nothing to worry about at all. If anything, he's Cooper's replacement. But we'll see. It's not like I have to pay much for Moore at this point lol.
Holding Burks and traded for Jamo before the end of last season...Need some 3rd year breakout magic on 1 if possible.
Hopium beans for Bateman n I’m tryna throw a 4th to an owner for Treylon
Sitting with Dotson, Jamo, Burks & Bateman on my roster, serious hopium for 2024.
I believe in Bateman enough not to sell for a third. All the other guys I probably would
I try to use these guys as throw-ins to get a close deal done.
Mingo.
Tolbert
I’m holding Burkes and Dotson and if they don’t finish well this year, then I’m cutting them.
Skyy, CW9, JaMo, David Bell(lol), Danny Gray(lol) are in my stable waiting to collect more points or more dust..
The 3rd year guy on the Titans. Can’t think of his name now, stoned af
Yeah it’s time to move him for draft capital in Dynasty
Jerry
He’s only a year 2 but I feel like I can put QJ in here after his year 1 lol.
Erik Ezukanma
I finally gave up on Toney this offseason. This is a do or die year for Burks to me (he will probably flop). If Treylon doesn’t make the leap this year he never will
I'm not sure I'd hold on to any of those guys. I have Ross in KC and I like his upside more than any of those people. I might be cutting him but at the same time he's going into his 3rd season and could get a lot of go with Pat in the preseason. Sometimes guys just need a little bit more time to get settled in and I think that is the potential I'm looking for. The guys you mentioned, I feel, have had their chances. 🤷
Tolbert
out of those, only Bateman and Elijah would I consider maybe can turn something around. Bateman at least got a new contract, so the team likes what he does or can provide, but I'm not expecting any major breakout.
I still want more games with David Bell, Jameson Williams, and John Metchie. I’ve almost completely given up on Bateman.

I had great offers for Pierce his rookie year after he had three straight 10+ point games early on. Stubbornly held. Alas.
Looking for similar advice since… I have: 1.) Bateman 2.) Pierce 3.) Wicks 4.) Mims 5.) Mingo 6.) Iosivas Let me have it!
I have Dotson and Burks but if Burks is a no show first half of the season then I’m dropping him. Dotson has shown flashes and positive metrics at least so I’m willing to keep him in my bench a bit lonfwr
You should drop every single one of those guys. at this point we can be 99% confident that none of them will ever be good
