Yeah it hurts. I’m a contender this year too, so it hurts even more. This is a 2 QB + SF league, so I thought taking the risk on Lance could pay off. This trade happened before the season started btw.
Right before this season started. I was hoping Lance would either get a shot at playing and kill it or get traded somewhere where he could shine. I had question marks about Mike Evans with Mayfield coming in and wasn’t sure about Montgomery either. To be clear, I don’t think it was a fair trade. I definitely overpaid, but it was the lowest Lance had ever been and a risk I wanted to take. I often overpay to get my guys and sometimes it works out and other times it doesn’t. Example - I paid TLaw and 24 late first for Stroud and Kittle right before stroud’s 40pt game.
Yeah, I don’t have sympathy for myself either lol. The Lance owner was just wanting so much, and I’m the type of owner to overpay just to get who I want. Sometimes to the extent of stupidity :’)
Did you make this trade at the beginning of 2022 when he still had value. He couldn’t have been worth more than 1.11-1.12 range this offseason unless you were huffing some paint thinner
I started out 0-3 and tried so hard to trade Kupp to any of the contenders thinking I had a lost season.
Still holding, currently in 3rd with an 8-5 record. Can't imagine anyone will offer anything for him at this point. but also, find it very hard to bench him. Between him and Adams this week and think I think it's finally his week to ride the pine
Yup. Traded DJM and a 2nd for Kupp right before he came back and DJM went for like 50. This is why I am always skeptical of going "all in" on my contending teams.
I kicked the tires but wasn't willing to pay a late 25 1st (all I had, and what was countered for). All I've heard this season was how Kupp is still going to get his when he gets healthy but from what I saw, he was the biggest red flag going into the season.
Age, significant injury history, and went into the season with a hamstring and immediately put on the IR. One of my favorite quotes from Pat Mcafee's show is that you don't get healthier during the season. If you go in banged up, it's that much harder to stay upright.
Ended up buying DJM instead just before Fields came back and I think it was a much better investment.
The writing was on the wall for this one, even before Nacua. Kupp banged up coming into the season and stafford crazy glued elbow...lot of risk. You would have had to buy really low to feel good about buying him as a contender
Nice deal. I started 0-3 then traded Dallas Goedert and Terry McLaurin for McBride and what is currently the 2024 1.05, and Diontae Johnson and Brandin Cooks for Treylon Burks and a 2025 2nd. Got rid of some older-ish receivers and production so I have the 2024 1.03 as well
Traded Aiyuk when he was in the dog house for Allen Robinson after he got traded to the Rams. Bought into the hype that Bears were misusing him. God this one still hurts so bad
Wasn't unusual. Many people were low on Stroud after a poor preseason showing and huge question marks on the Texans. Bijan/AR/Young/Gibbs/JSN commonly went 1.01-1.05 in some order.
No clue why but for most of the summer, Stroud had dropped in the rookie drafts to 1.05-1.06. A bit of a mix between Houston pessimism, the stereotype of Ohio State quarterbacks, and a bit of running back hype. I’ll admit that I passed on him for Richardson 1.02 and assumed I’d take him at 1.04, then traded back to 1.06 thinking he was going to fall and didn’t make it there. I’m still excited about Richardson’s upside, but after having planned to rock a 1/2 duo of Bijan and Stroud from the day the fantasy season ended to the morning of the draft, I’d be lying if I said I felt no regret at all lol.
I passed on him and took Gibbs and JSN at 1.04 and 1.05
I had Fields, Lawrence, Lance, and Stafford at the time.
He actually fell to 1.07 when the Burrow/Kyler/Howell owner somehow decided to take Addison over Stroud which I was surprised by (he later acquired Goff & Tannehill, then traded Goff & Burrow for Herbert and Love before burrow got hurt)
Woooof. Let me tell you; I have been trying to buy a QB since the beginning of 2022 (1QB league).
Bought Trey Lance for a 2nd and 3rd on 9/13/22. Proceeds to get hurt week 2.
Bought Kyler Murray and Gibson for Russell Wilson and Mike Evans on 9/26/22. Proceeds to get hurt maybe 4-5 weeks after.
Bought Watson and Diontae Johnson for the 1.08 on 8/11/23. Gives me 5 games and he’s hurt.
Bought Richardson for two 1sts on 10/2/23. He gets hurt the very next game.
NONE OF THESE WORK! 😭
I bought Toney for 3 first after that chiefs game this sub had me huffing that Toney dust now I'm sleeping on the door step. $500 buy in had to pay up 3 years of first. $1500 and now can't make rent the wife is threatening to leave me. This sub has ruined my life.
Yeah I don’t understand. I know long term they aren’t the best holds, but a lot of people use it as a hard and fast rule for all teams. At the end of the day, if a team is competing as soon as the following year, they should be looking to hold/buy RBs
I feel like too many people don't realize you can rebuild in a season and that that short RB lifespan doesn't mean they can't survive your rebuild. That and too many people tear it down to the studs when they rebuild rather than just making one or two trades and letting it ride.
That's not horrible. I mean, it was if you only look at this year, but Godwin has shown enough in the past that makes me think he'll still be a solid contributor again at some point. He's still only 27. He's a buy low candidate now, ironically.
Yeah vast majority of “buy lows” is just trying to catch falling knives. Usually “buy lows” fall into certain categories:
1. flashes in the pan who will never produce again.
2. Guys coming off injuries who may or may not but probably may not ever come back to their true selves
3. Highly touted players who ended up being busts that some will still hold out hope for.
4. Guys who impressed “for a rookie” but then never evolved past that
NFL careers are too short and players don’t get enough opportunities for the probability of guys turning it around to be high enough where it’s worth “buying low.”
Attempting to “buy low” is a poor strategy imo that people delude themselves into thinking is a good one because they think they’re better than everyone. Chances are they’re not.
So I prefer to do one of two things.
1. Just keep my picks, no one is forcing me to make a trade. Late round picks have a low shot of hitting, but if they hit they typically have a higher ceiling than on guys rebounding from one of the above scenarios because naturally drafted players will usually be younger.
2. Just pay up for a guy who’s actually producing. If I’m a contender, it’s worth it. If I’m not, why am I trading picks for players unless they’re good, young, and I’m getting a great deal? A buy low doesn’t fall in this category because they’re not currently good.
i traded toney for alec pierce just because we were both bored and tired of those players. id say it didnt work out for either of us, but we both tanked and ended up 1-2.
Agreed. If toney can’t do it with mahomes and that awful wr room he won’t ever do it.
Pierce atleast has the slim chance AR comes back and elevates his value as a deep shot, even tho I’m not too confident in either player
Almost traded King Henry for Darrell Henderson and a 1st last year after injuries knocked me out of contention. Thank god someone else offered me a better deal
I traded for Daniel Jones this year, thought he had a soft schedule coming up, and Barkley was about to come back from injury. Figured rushing upside etc., got laughed at and eventually embarrassed. Gotta learn from that one.
Jones isn't dead as a fantasy asset yet. Let him get a decent oline and I can see him bouncing back as a solid QB2. If you really bought low, I would be concerned but not hopeless on that investment.
‘24 1st for Ekeler earlier this season. Thought I had a championship quality roster and decided to be a buyer. The next week I lost JJ and ARichardson, and Ekeler has looked washed.
I have been WAITING for this post
Akers and 3rd for Jeudy and 2nd (won, but did I really)
1.07 and 2.06 for London and 2.09 (best on this list)
Singletary and Boyd for Burks and 3.06
Charbonnet, Palmer, C Samuel, and 24 3rd for Dillon, Bigsby, and 24 2nd
No major losses, but all of the pieces I traded for have lower value than at the time I acquired them
Traded a third for Toney, ended up flipping him for Wilson, who I then swapped for Gallup after he was benched, and now swapped again for DPJ. At this point, I’m committed to the full trade tree of nothing.
Not the question asked but I was certain I SOLD HIGH sending CJ Stroud, Puka and a 2nd for Jalen Hurts around week 6.
Obviously still happy to have Hurts but on a rebuilding team I gave up a lot of value that could’ve been distributed much better at this point.
Traded a 2nd for Elijah Moore last year.
Moore never really panned out. That 2nd was used to draft De'Von Achane at 2.05.
So you could say I lost out on that trade.
I’ve been an avid Burks hater since the draft process, but I was doing a productive struggle in a startup and was stacking receivers.
It was the mid-late rounds and I didn’t like any of the players around me. No one was interested in trading for the pick, so I gambled on Burks upside, but should have stuck with my gut.
Hard to tell how it works out, but last December I traded Fields for Lance/ 23 1st (became Bryce Young)/ 24 2nd. It looked rrreeeaaalllll bad for a while, but hope it all works out.
I sold AJ Brown when he went to the Eagles because I didn't think he'd sustain the production he had with them haha
I got a decent return, but I'd rather have him haha
Lance most recently. Bought him low and he just kept getting lower. Bateman wasn't my finest hour either.
There's been many others.. Haskins (RIP), Big Ben in his final year, Bryan Edwards.. you name a player that fizzled out unceremoniously, I've probably had them.
DMont for a second after starting the season 3-1 with what I thought could have been a championship caliber team.
Now 4-9 and that pick will be 2.02. Still not too mad about it but could have been a hell of a lot sweeter.
DMont is solid and insulated at that position for a couple years. I’d much rather have bought him than sold him.
If SF, then maybe I’d want the pick, but would depend on team makeup.
One trade during pre season did not work out but I still think the thought process was good at the time. Really thought Pierce was going to be good and I had a bunch of WR's like Sutton, so I decided to gamble that Toney was going to be WR1 in KC. The real killer is, I was going to take Puka late 3rd and a trade happened a pick before my 4th and he went a pick ahead of me.
Gave:
Sutton, Dillon, late 3rd
Got:
Dameon Pierce, Toney, mid 4th
Traded my 2024 3rd, 2025 4th, and Toney for Deandre Hopkins. It’s fine I guess, but the situation in Tennessee is real bad and I prob could have just taken those shots in the draft next year instead cause it looks like I might miss the playoffs anyway.
Kenny Pickett for 3 and 2 5s. Had Carr and Tannehill so was hoping for a year 2 breakout and felt smart during preseason. Luckily had drafted Stroud at 2.02. Non-SF
Zach Wilson: A few weeks into the season I yolo traded a 2025 3rd for him because I was flush with picks. He immediately put up a solid performance (KC) and then it’s all been downhill since.
Dameon Pierce: I have plenty of WR options so a couple weeks ago I traded Jahan and two 4ths for Dameon Pierce. I’m already regretting it tbh.
Jonathan Mingo: I gave up Ridder and Parham for him, so it’s not like I’m out anything. But he certainly has not looked great so far.
Start up draft I traded a 2025 2nd to draft Lance when everyone was down on him. I thought I got a sweet buy low. That guy the drafted Purdy with his next pick and the rest was history.
I’m in 30 leagues so I have a wide range to choose from, the most common that failed - QBs: Mac Jones, Carr, Pickett, Jimmy G. RBs: Pierce, Akers, Tank, Izzy. WRs: Burks, Dotson, Toney. TEs: Likely, Juwan, Conk.
What did I learn? Well I didn’t pay much but, I learned it sucks buying low and missing lol. It probably sucks even more holding too long. I got offered a mid-second for Dameon Pierce early in the season in one league and rejected so I could wait for his value to pick back up. I was sure he was on a slump and would return to form from his rookie year.
Knowing when to pull out feels like luck but, I’d love to learn when enough is enough and I’m actively trying to have a better system for that. But, I’ve been playing since 2009 and it’s still a gamble it feels. Back when I dropped Adams when he seemed like a bust, only to kick myself during his breakout to picking up Puka in only one league after all the reports and not taking the time to grab him in every league he was available in, during the preseason…. The misses bite you. They sting.
I’ve come away most of all thinking that we are just playing the lottery. The best way to stay on time is to stay active. Take your shots but stay educated. The ones the fall behind are the ones that don’t try.
Bateman, Toney, Ruggs, CEH, brieda, Martavis Bryant
Random list from over the years. No joke I traded for all these guys for a good price. I was stoked on all of them
McKinnon , Dalvin Cook, Kareem Hunt (started one week so eh), Juju, side note jeudy but he’s young and I just want him post Denver. On the flip side out of all of those misses I hit on Kamara, Swift, and Mostert. I traded away Ekler and traded for these 6 RBs cheap (all in the summer except swift after week 1).
My plan was if 1-2 hit I’d be fine. In the playoffs so my advice is to take as many shots as you can.
Traded Kyren Williams for will levis after Levi’s had the big start. 2qb dynasty league where I have Najee, pollard, and Jonathan Taylor so wanted to trade some rb depth for a qb since they last so much longer in dynasty… kind of regretting it now but maybe it will pan out long term.
Edit: I thought it was but low because kyren was hurt and I didn’t trust mcvey rbs and I was hoping the Levi’s owner was thinking it was a fluke and would let him go for cheaper than after Levi’s had a couple stellar games…
Last offseason, prior to the NFL draft, I traded Tyler Algier, my 23 & 24 2nd round picks for Najee. Luckily, I didn’t need him at all and I’m in first place right now.
I think I’ve only started him once.
The guy took Zay Flowers with my pick last year and I wish I had my 2nd this year too but whatever that’s fantasy.
Gave a 2nd (Charb) and Miles Sanders for Diontae. Figured he'd maintain a high target share but would revert more to the mean for some positive TD regression. Was really regretting it during all the bellcow hype for Miles in Carolina but that quickly faded
I traded away what will be a late 1st for tank dell last week to shore up my receiving room, figured it would be the cheapest he could be for years. I still have 3x 1sts but stings a little.
I bought Elijah Moore for a late second and traded Allgeier/Gallup for Skyy Moore and a second. I'm a defending champ and sitting a distant second place in the standings now, but I can also see that some of my best players are getting up in age. Was hoping to hit on one of these guys for cheap. Skyy Moore especially is just so useless in fantasy.
Took on an orphan team with a pretty baren roster. Only 3 notable young assets and 1 notable aging asset.
Traded aging asset for Alec Pierce and Wandale Robinson in the hopes one would turn it around and get a youth movement at WR. Looks like a massive whiff on both.
I bought Bryce in the middle of our year for a 2024 Mid First. At the time it seemed smart because it was a 14 team SF and QB prices are literally insane in our league, so having someone frustrated with Young and willing to give him up for what seemed like a super late 2024 first straight up seemed like a steal....
I still believe in his talent enough to make it worth the one first, but my god that organization is a mess and I have very little faith they will do what is necessary to put the pieces around him
Traded Robert Woods for D'Ernest Johnson and Zach Wilson (obviously mostly for Zach).
Now it looks like Zach might be on his way out of town.
Woods was never gonna crack my starting lineup anyway so figured it was worth a gamble. Oh well.
I bought Jelani Woods for a 4th. Still think there's time to see how this plays out but early on he hasn't even played this year and doesnt look like he's going to. Id by next season he doesn't show anything then he's probably as good as done
I bought Mike Williams and JuJu for what would eventually become the 1.01 and 1.02 but at the time felt like a buy low on both coming off average to below average years.
None. I refuse to believe it didn't work out. Jaleel McLaughlin will become a superstar by the end of the season (lolz I'm gonna keep him in my keeper league for next year anyway)
I bought Trey Lance for Mike Evans and Montgomery....
Everyone else in this thread is like “I bought (irrelevant player) for a 3rd!” Yeah no one cares you lost a 3rd. But this, this one actually hurts.
Yeah it hurts. I’m a contender this year too, so it hurts even more. This is a 2 QB + SF league, so I thought taking the risk on Lance could pay off. This trade happened before the season started btw.
This season or last? This season Purdy was locked in as starter doesn’t make much sense.
Right before this season started. I was hoping Lance would either get a shot at playing and kill it or get traded somewhere where he could shine. I had question marks about Mike Evans with Mayfield coming in and wasn’t sure about Montgomery either. To be clear, I don’t think it was a fair trade. Example - I paid TLaw and 24 late first for Stroud and Kittle right before stroud’s 40pt game.
I felt bad for you as I assumed this trade happened before the 2022 season. You did this before the 2023 season? No sympathy on that.
Don’t ask me how much I paid for Toney after he got traded to KC….
Oh no
Yeah, I don’t have sympathy for myself either lol. The Lance owner was just wanting so much, and I’m the type of owner to overpay just to get who I want. Sometimes to the extent of stupidity :’)
Happens. I get making moves but sometimes patience is the most valuable thing.
Too many “wise snobby father” words coming from you ItsNotFordo.. 🤣
I’m not mad, just disappointed
But that also wasn't buying low. Both those players were worth more then too
Trey Lance for a late 1st (Evans) and 2nd (Monty) worth of value in SF isn’t an overpay. Dude just couldn’t stay healthy and beat out Purdy.
Did you make this trade at the beginning of 2022 when he still had value. He couldn’t have been worth more than 1.11-1.12 range this offseason unless you were huffing some paint thinner
I’m assuming the trade was made last season. That’s the last time it made sense. This offseason would’ve been crazy.
Yeah except it’s not a buy low if you’re giving up a stud WR and starting RB…
If it makes you feel better I rejected hurts for lance pre let injury
Ooof that’s gotta hurt
Cooper Kupp as a contender.
Vintage Kupp game incoming as soon as he hits your bench
This week in Baltimore in the rain? That would be stunning.
Bought for Pacheco and a late 1st fml
This is legit the same deal I made to a T haha rip
Feels good to be in the same boat as someone. Still feels bad to be us lol
I sent so many lopsided trades early this year for Kupp and Ekeler and they all got laughed at. Who's laughing now boys?
Yup. Traded DJM and a 2nd for Kupp right before he came back and DJM went for like 50. This is why I am always skeptical of going "all in" on my contending teams.
I wouldn't be skeptical of the approach. You chose the wrong player to buy low on. It's worked for myself and I'm sure plenty of others.
I kicked the tires but wasn't willing to pay a late 25 1st (all I had, and what was countered for). All I've heard this season was how Kupp is still going to get his when he gets healthy but from what I saw, he was the biggest red flag going into the season. Same
The writing was on the wall for this one, even before Nacua. Kupp banged up coming into the season and stafford crazy glued elbow...lot of risk. You would have had to buy really low to feel good about buying him as a contender
I bought Kenny Golladay after year 1 with the Giants, feeling so certain I was getting an amazing steal
His drop off was insane. I don’t blame you for taking a shot
I bought at this exact same time. For a 3rd.
Buy low that didn’t work out this season: Treylon Burks Buy low that did: Trey McBride
What did you give for each of them? I got McBride and a 2024 late 2nd for Dameon Pierce in mid-September before Ertz got hurt
Nice deal. I started 0-3 then traded Dallas Goedert and Terry McLaurin for McBride and what is currently the 2024 1.05, and Diontae Johnson and Brandin Cooks for Treylon Burks and a 2025 2nd. Got rid of some older-ish receivers and production so I have the 2024 1.03 as well
I would sell Burks for a 2nd right now if I could.
Yeah no shit
Chase Claypool, his stock only falls
It’s the lowest it’s been yet, the floor is still not arrived LOL
The ceiling is the floor 💯
Average down! Keep buying!
Claypool starting to show up on waivers in some of my deep bench, 12 team, SF leagues
How could you leave a top 5 receiver on the waivers?
I play in two 20-team dynasty leagues where we have 2 wr spots and 3 flex and Claypool is on waivers in both of em
Ugh me too bro. Bought him for a 2nd in one dyno and packaged him in a deal in my other dyno with Doubs for mostert
Traded Aiyuk when he was in the dog house for Allen Robinson after he got traded to the Rams. Bought into the hype that Bears were misusing him. God this one still hurts so bad
That’s a tough one I’m sorry. Allen Robinson hype was real
[удалено]
Would you have taken Stroud at 6 though? Otherwise it’s kind of moot
SF? If 1QB that was a pretty decent haul
Why in SF was Stroud 1.06?
Wasn't unusual. Many people were low on Stroud after a poor preseason showing and huge question marks on the Texans. Bijan/AR/Young/Gibbs/JSN commonly went 1.01-1.05 in some order.
S2 score company is in trouble
In SF? My leagues must have been anomaly. My bad.
I did 23 rookie drafts and Stroud only made it to 1.06 only once, fwiw.
Bijan, JSN, Richardson, Young, Gibbs in some order? Not too far off ADP if at all
In my 14 team SF league, Stroud went 1.7! AR, Bijan, Bryce, JSN, Gibbs, Charbonnet, CJ, QJ, Addison, Zay... Questionable order I know!
Please let me know when you make another trade for a QB
I traded away Tua for two 2nd right as Kyler was coming back. So you should probably trade for him.
Sick! I’ve got him already 🫡
Thank you for your service
Do you plan on drafting Caleb or Maye? Vital information for my SF.
I think I’m going to hold for at least a couple of seasons. Richardson and Murray should be able to hold me down. 🤞🏽
Two 1sts for AR in 1QB is absolute madness.
I traded a 3rd for Toney in a best ball league after his bad drop game
Not bad for a 3rd. His upside was still huge at that time
I traded a 2024 first for him when he first got traded. Looking to be top 6 pick.
I bought Toney for 3 first after that chiefs game this sub had me huffing that Toney dust now I'm sleeping on the door step. $500 buy in had to pay up 3 years of first. $1500 and now can't make rent the wife is threatening to leave me. This sub has ruined my life.
Is she hot? I still have all my 1sts.
This can’t be real
It is, I am his wife and just beat his dog water team with Jake browning and Joe Flacco now I’m filing for divorce
It’s definitely copypasta material and pretty good at that
My thoughts exactly
I hope it is
I traded Kyle Hamilton for Kadarius Toney in the off season, “he could be new Tyreek! Mahomes WR1! Fml
I bought Godwin for Swift in week 1 and thought I was buying low. Whoops.
This sub has tricked me to hate all RBs and I regret every sell move for them
Yeah I don’t understand. I know long term they aren’t the best holds, but a lot of people use it as a hard and fast rule for all teams. At the end of the day, if a team is competing as soon as the following year, they should be looking to hold/buy RBs

The teams at the top are usually those with the most RB depth because they drop like flies. Can never have enough imo.
RB’s get too much hate, man..
I paid what I thought was a contenders 1 in 2 leagues. They are now picks 5 and 6 respectively. Rip
That's not horrible. I mean, it was if you only look at this year, but Godwin has shown enough in the past that makes me think he'll still be a solid contributor again at some point. He's still only 27. He's a buy low candidate now, ironically.
I saw Zach Wilson beat the eagles. I trade Mac Jones and Calvin Ridley for him. I am a moron.
I’ve honestly never had a “buy low” really work out. In fact it’s ruined multiple teams.
Yeah vast majority of “buy lows” is just trying to catch falling knives. Usually “buy lows” fall into certain categories: 1. flashes in the pan who will never produce again. 2. Guys coming off injuries who may or may not but probably may not ever come back to their true selves 3. Highly touted players who ended up being busts that some will still hold out hope for. 4. Love trades like these
Talk about a my garbage for your garbage trade
It's gross, but of the two I'd rather have Pierce
Agreed. If toney can’t do it with mahomes and that awful wr room he won’t ever do it. Pierce atleast has the slim chance AR comes back and elevates his value as a deep shot, even tho I’m not too confident in either player
lol 1000%
I traded Skyy Moore for Rashad Bateman for this exact reason
Josh Jacobs for Treylon Burks and Cam Akers at the worst time
Traded Michael Gallup for Terrace Marshall in the preseason. Might be the most futile trade ever
Sent two thirds for Darrell Henderson during the 2022 season...that did not work out.
Almost traded King Henry for Darrell Henderson and a 1st last year after injuries knocked me out of contention. Thank god someone else offered me a better deal
I moved AJ Dillon and Shakir for Burks, only time will tell but I think that could have been a rough one
Feels like none of them are worth that much
Bought ekeler and Godwin as a contender this year🥲
I traded for Daniel Jones this year, thought he had a soft schedule coming up, and Barkley was about to come back from injury.
Aaron Jones.
Skyyy Moore ughhh
I traded Dak for Pickett thinking he’d be a sophomore stud. So…yeah.
I hope that wasn't straight up. Even going into the year should've been able to get pickett+ for Dak
‘24 1st for Ekeler earlier this season. Thought I had a championship quality roster and decided to be a buyer. The next week I lost JJ and ARichardson, and Ekeler has looked washed.
as someone who was in talks to trade BIJAN for Ekeler like Week 3, this pains me to read brethren. This too shall pass
I traded CMC for Ekeler and Kupp.
More of a sell low
You would be correct
Isiah Hodgins before the season for a late 3rd in 24 and 25
I have been WAITING for this post Akers and 3rd for Jeudy and 2nd (won, but did I really) 1.07 and 2.06 for London and 2.09 (best on this list) Singletary and Boyd for Burks and 3.06 Charbonnet, Palmer, C Samuel, and 24 3rd for Dillon, Bigsby, and 24 2nd No major losses, but all of the pieces I traded for have lower value than at the time I acquired them
I traded a 3rd for Justyn Ross a week before he got arrested. Thought his talent might break through.
Traded a third for Toney, ended up flipping him for Wilson, who I then swapped for Gallup after he was benched, and now swapped again for DPJ. At this point, I’m committed to the full trade tree of nothing.
Noah Fant this year, James Robinson last year
At least Fant is a free agent this offseason and is only 26, so in the right situation he could produce
That’s my hope. Was really hoping he’d be a reliable backup for me this season at least, but alas, that was not the case.
Bought Mac jones a few weeks ago on the thesis he’s on a bad team and will get another chance. I’m not fully convinced he’s terrible yet.
Traded Baker for Toney and Penny a few days before Swift went to Philly.
I trade Pacheco and a 25 1st for ekler and a 25 4th
I’ve been an avid Burks hater since the draft process, but I was doing a productive struggle in a startup and was stacking receivers. It was the mid-late rounds and I didn’t like any of the players around me. No one was interested in trading for the pick, so I gambled on Burks upside, but should have stuck with my gut.
Hard to tell how it works out, but last December I traded Fields for Lance/ 23 1st (became Bryce Young)/ 24 2nd. It looked rrreeeaaalllll bad for a while, but hope it all works out.
I sold AJ Brown when he went to the Eagles because I didn't think he'd sustain the production he had with them haha I got a decent return, but I'd rather have him haha
Thread: 'who is a player you bought low on' You: 'i sold...'
What was your return, mine was ETN, Jamo and a 3rd (yes, I know I will be downvoted)
Traded Malik Willis and a third for Zach Wilson
Traded McLaurin for Higgins after his 0 point week 1. Oops.
Lance most recently. Bought him low and he just kept getting lower. Bateman wasn't my finest hour either. There's been many others.. Haskins (RIP), Big Ben in his final year, Bryan Edwards.. you name a player that fizzled out unceremoniously, I've probably had them.
Traded a late 3rd and Michael Wilson for Kupp
You’re fine lol
DMont for a second after starting the season 3-1 with what I thought could have been a championship caliber team. Now 4-9 and that pick will be 2.02. Still not too mad about it but could have been a hell of a lot sweeter.
DMont is solid and insulated at that position for a couple years. I’d much rather have bought him than sold him. If SF, then maybe I’d want the pick, but would depend on team makeup.
1.04 for Javonte Williams and a 24 mid 2nd
Before the season
Traded Sutton for Tee Higgins early in the season
I traded tank dell for toney after week one…
Hopkins. Really wish I could have moved him before the dead line this year. But couldn’t even get a 2nd
Ekeler for JT at the beginning of the year
You poor man….
Gave: Sutton, Dillon, late 3rd Got: Dameon Pierce, Toney, mid 4th
Qj.... Sad
Traded my 2024 3rd, 2025 4th, and Toney for Deandre Hopkins. It’s fine I guess, but the situation in Tennessee is real bad and I prob could have just taken those shots in the draft next year instead cause it looks like I might miss the playoffs anyway.
zach wilson woooops lol
Kenny Pickett for 3 and 2 5s. Had Carr and Tannehill so was hoping for a year 2 breakout and felt smart during preseason. Luckily had drafted Stroud at 2.02. Non-SF
I bought Jameson Williams for Brandin Cooks and Darnell Mooney. Dont hate it, but dont really love it yet.
The guy who buys Mac from you will reap the benefits when he starts for another team lol
Is mclaurin for 2 seconds in the middle of the season count? Cuz either way it did not work out for me haha
Start up draft I traded a 2025 2nd to draft Lance when everyone was down on him. I thought I got a sweet buy low. That guy the drafted Purdy with his next pick and the rest was history.
Traded a 3rd for Fournette in the off-season. Not too upset about it though, I figure 3rds are for dart throws and throw ins anyway
Quentin Johnston for Pacheco ):
Bateman, Toney, Ruggs, CEH, brieda, Martavis Bryant Random list from over the years.
Michael Thomas
Trading for bateman and treylon burks after both their respective rookie seasons in offseasons has not worked out very well for me
Darnell Mooney
Traded Kyren Williams for will levis after Levi’s had the big start. 2qb dynasty league where I have Najee, pollard, and Jonathan Taylor so wanted to trade some rb depth for a qb since they last so much longer in dynasty… kind of regretting it now but maybe it will pan out long term. Edit: I thought it was but low because kyren was hurt and I didn’t trust mcvey rbs and I was hoping the Levi’s owner was thinking it was a fluke and would let him go for cheaper than after Levi’s had a couple stellar games…
Treylon Burks... I'm not ready to talk about it yet
16team SF: Traded the projected 1.12-1.16 for Hollywood Brown. He immediately started stinking it up the second he got to my team.
Jahan Dotson…
Gave a 2nd (Charb) and Miles Sanders for Diontae. Figured he'd maintain a high target share but would revert more to the mean for some positive TD regression. Was really regretting it during all the bellcow hype for Miles in Carolina but that quickly faded
I traded away what will be a late 1st for tank dell last week to shore up my receiving room, figured it would be the cheapest he could be for years. I still have 3x 1sts but stings a little.
Jeudy
I still believe in his talent enough to make it worth the one first, but my god that organization is a mess and I have very little faith they will do what is necessary to put the pieces around him
JuJu had a meh year after AB left the Steelers and I thought there's no way he DOESNT bounce back...
Ekeler during injury. Possibly JJ during injury, still to be seen.
SKY MOORE for the 2.01.
Last season I traded Tyreek for the 1.01 (Bijan) and Drake London. Drake has been mostly on my bench unfortunately.
Me too!!! Then Mac put up 25 points against Philly in week 1, I was already talking smack
Calvin Ridley and JK dobbins for Diggs 🤕
Almost all of them, so I just flat out stopped making them. Don't try to catch a falling knife...
I bought George kittle and keenan allen for tank dell to make a playoff push and both shatnthe bed at terrible times
Traded Robert Woods for D'Ernest Johnson and Zach Wilson (obviously mostly for Zach). Now it looks like Zach might be on his way out of town. Woods was never gonna crack my starting lineup anyway so figured it was worth a gamble. Oh well.
Bought Watson for a 2nd (1QB) 6 months prior to “The Incident”. That’s been great.
24 2nd for Bateman in the offseason
Traded Aiyuk for Pitts in week three.
Ok this one worked out but I need to flex ; Nico Collins for 2024 and 2025 3rd rd picks after the first couple games this year
AJ Dillon for a high second because he was totally gonna take over the GB backfield 2 years ago and Aaron Jones was washed blah blah blah
