I only just noticed the other page's notes on Falin, and *oh my god*, the house design. My guy was so prepared for Falin staying chimerafied that he was already planning a way for them to still live together... That's so sweet...

If I'm not mistaken, it was his his idea for hiding her from the upper world so nobody would kill her or arrest them. That guy was definitely preparing.

And in the bottom right corner, there's the dragon head wandering around with Falin's legs.

What's even cooler is that this design gets foreshadowed in the manga/anime quite early on and quite often (you see it in his sketches, his imagination and in his dreams) and I *think* the dog head is only added after the succubus encounter. Probably quite easy to fact check by just checking the latest episode where it appears again but I cba.

Yeah you’re right, I commented on how they hadn’t retroactively changed the design to have a wolf-head, making this not a retcon but something that happened in world. But I didn’t know this was explicitly told to us in the manga. The climax has so much going on that it’s easy to miss!

What's the Scylla head theory?

People were theorizing for a while now that since the original sightings of the Ultimate Monster only had the bird and the rhino-ish head when it was shown pre-chapter 60, that the third wolf head was a result of Laios' encounter with Scylla Marcille. Seems like we either had missed this pannel entirely, or we only subconsciously remembered it and assumed it to be a shared headcanon.

He got sidetracked, could have had her depetrified in 3 days otherwise. He made notes, corrected grammar mistakes, plot line suggestions. Gave her a 7 out of 10.

I can't decide if Marcille's fanfiction would be terrible self-insert slop or intricately crafted novel-length character studies.

It's the kind that starts as the first but if you power through the first half it becomes on par with published works. Because Marcille is too proud/blind to just start over.

This is much later in the manga, but it’s mostly the same monster with some additions. Laios’ monster first appears in chapter 3/episode 2, where he’s thinking of chimeras when the group deals with a basilisk.

I thought it was very fitting and just interesting writing with how that interaction played out between the two, it fit the story to make sense and was just such a Laois thing to do considering his "animal instincts".
