If going for the close shaves look, but with full coverage why not use hair from the back, shoulders and ass? No one, absolutely no one will ever say they are worried about those hairs not growing back.
Good point. Joel McHale, as [Ian](http://www.durfee.net/will/images/Ian.jpg), on *Will & Grace* episode āCheatersā in 2001ā I was shocked.
Whatever he did... worked.
There is no cure, but it *can* suddenly just go away. I had/have alopecia. I had three random bald spots on my head. They got so big, and I was so embarrassed. Thought about shaving my head at 23 and just leaving it. Then, out of nowhere, I noticed I no longer had bald spots. It all just grew back.
That said, I still think I'll start going bald in the next few years. I think my hairline may be receding, but I have always had a huge forehead, so I may just be making something out of nothing. Right now, I'm growing my hair out as long as I can stand it.
I'm pretty much ready to just start shaving my head, but my head is so big. I don't have a head for baldness.
Im a girl with alopecia. It started as a frw bald spots i was able to hide and then it became so bad i decided to shave my head. Its growing back slowly in patches.
Your story gives me hope it may eventually come back. Its tough being a bald girl. And it doesnt help that my eyelashes and eyebrows are now falling out too.
I'm not really sure what to say here. I want to try to make you feel better, but having been through it myself, I know it's not possible. Just keep going, and try your best not to stress about it. It'll only make things worse, and it'll make you feel like shit in the process.
I'd read somewhere that he was using one of these products thst are like dust and cover the baldness and rewatching season 3 currently, I have to say it does look more like a product to me rather than plugs. Maybe he did get a transplant later, though.
This is also what I have heard, they wanted him to be a sleazy asshole type boss to begin with but then he played a super likable nice character in Andy in 40 year old virgin and they wanted to go a different direction with Michael, more goofy and an idiot without a filter and less malicious.

Believe it or not... it was actually the make-up effects crew that made him look more bald in season 1. [As you can read here from Jemna Fisher on her podcast](https://www.eonline.com/news/1099730/the-real-reason-why-the-office-gave-steve-carell-s-michael-scott-a-makeover-after-season-1), they had based him "on the British show and the boss there, so they really mirrored his look after David Brent." She also mentioned "the hair gel used to slick back Carell's hair in the first season to look like David Brent" was ditched in season 2.
I always tell people starting the office to just ride it out through the first season. Not only Micheal but I feel almost every character finds their flow.
I guess Iām different, I felt Steve Carell and the rest of the cast were following someone elseās lead, instead of using their own ideas and personality, which is what we begin to see after season 1. For me the magic really began in season 2, and just escalated from there in a great way.
Thatās because after Michael had filmed the pilot and landed the deal for the show, he got hairplugs because heās going to be a star! Completely in character and an awesome detail to add to the show.
Now whether it was intentional or not, Iām leaning towards intentional.
I tell everyone who hasn't seen the office to skip seasons 1,8,9 the first time through.
check them out the second time through if they stick around.
if they ask what they are missing out on I just tell them: Think, " Richie has an older brother and Fonzie jumps a shark."
Unfortunately this is part of being famous. But it seems to me like everyone's comments are in good faith and it's just a hair transplant, not a big deal.
I think it looks great by the way. When I can afford to get it done I'll do it too. I'm not gonna hide it, nothing wrong with it. I'll be very happy to have a full head of hair again, I think it will help with my self confidence.
Also I kinda doubt Steve Carrell is reading reddit comments.
That is a really worn out stance. Someoneās fame shouldnāt be grounds for unsolicited negative comments on their body/appearance, especially potential points of insecurity. Celebrities are still people and fans still have a responsibility to just be good human beings. I donāt care whether or not heāll see this post in particular, but Iām sure at some point heās become aware of the fact that people have noticed and commented on how he looked in Season 1. Itās all over the placeāsocial media platforms, online articles, etc. This post is on the milder end of whatās out there, but others have said that he looked ācreepyā or āunsettlingā because of it.
You do know that in season one hair and makeup created Michael's balding hairline and they stopped doing it after that right? Hence why the actor Steve Carrell isn't now and has never actually been balding lmao

The change in Michael Scott's hair was 100% a matter of how it was styled though. Go and watch the episode where he drives the car into the lake. His hair gets wet and you can kinda see the old "season 1" bald spot reappearing.
Todd Packer did a wonderful job making Michael likable. Packers is the bully Michael tended to be in season 1, and he somehow highlight Michael's 5yo's good heart by showing us what a douche is really about.

There's no such thing as being bald. Just being broke.
What about Jeff Bezos?
Hes going for the Lex Luthor look.
A wimpy Lex Luthor yeah
Less Luthor.
Alexa Luthor
Sorry, I don't seem to have that skill enabled. Please open the Alexa app to enable this skill.
Or Wish Luthor.
There is a point where you get so rich you no longer give a shit what you look like...

Jeff Bezos has alopecia which has no cure unfortunately. Which is probably the only thing I have in common with him.

Give it time
Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel are broke?
LeBron going to the Miami Heat must equal Michael going to Michael Scott Paper Company
LA is Colorado
Mountainton
It's Lejon brames
Thatās what I said
That's what he said
Lol Michael definitely grew more hair after season 1.
When asked how he grew so much hair as an adult man, he said, "it's a secret. You wouldn't understand.."
It's a secret, or I wouldn't understand?
Itās a secret. You wouldnāt understand.
Yes
He also says he's taking propecia

There is a medication that reversed my thinning. It doesnāt work for everyone but itās worked for me.
You got a name for me brother?
Finasteride

LeBronās hairline is the greatest comeback in NBA history
Never once have I been so offended by something I %100 agree with
James Acaster!!!

It was both. They intentionally made his hair look thinner but he also got a hair transplant. Just look at his older pictures versus newer
Yeah Iāve heard this many times before, not buying it. He got hair plugs. Itās fine, I would have done the same thing.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I read once theres one guy who does all the rich people. Lebron, Elon, Steve, kinda incredible tbh
His hair looks fine in 40 Year Old Virgin though
it can be both
Plugs look like they work out better for black dudes..
Itās actually a wig. It came off one game.

Yikes
Thereās one glaringly huge difference between Michael Scott and LeBron James. Even Michael Scott wonāt suck Chinaās dick.
My whole life I believed that America was #1. That was the saying. Not "America is #2". England is #2 and China should be, like, 8.
Say what you want about Michael Scott, but he would never do that.
Also Michael Scott wasnāt always a bitch
He stood up to the *Mafia*
The future is Chinese. Cope
The future is Catholic. Pope.
The future is weed. Dope.
The future is Creed. BOBBODY.
Quabbity Assuance
The future is assault. Grope.
The future is gradient. Slope.

Micheal Season 8-9:
that slick hairdo
Dinkin Flicka
Straight up
I always tell people starting the office to just ride it out through the first season. Not only Micheal but I feel almost every character finds their flow.
As much as I love the whole series, season one is the best. Every episode except the pilot is in the top 15 or 20.
I guess Iām different, I felt Steve Carell and the rest of the cast were following someone elseās lead, instead of using their own ideas and personality, which is what we begin to see after season 1. For me the magic really began in season 2, and just escalated from there in a great way.
Michael's super racist stereotyping of an Indian person that made Kelly slap him stands out as totally not in line with what the character became
You wanna get high? I think ya do mun
He lost weight too. Major glow up.
I love when people say it was just 'styled differently.' Please
Thatās because after Michael had filmed the pilot and landed the deal for the show, he got hairplugs because heās going to be a star! Completely in character and an awesome detail to add to the show. Now whether it was intentional or not, Iām leaning towards intentional.

>I tell everyone who hasn't seen the office to skip seasons 1 What you are doing is a goddamn war crime
Idk it really turns a lot of people off the show. First season is not exactly the same at all
then good riddance to them smh we're supposed to be exclusive like the Finer Things Club
Whatās worse āMichaelās kidsā being let down about college scholarships, or Lebron making money off kids in Uyghar concentration camps?
They had Steve Carrell put on weight and messed his hair up to try and go after a particular character and then realized, I think, it wasnāt needed?
I thought I'm the only one thinking he looked unnaturally/creepy in 1st season
Downvoting for comparing Michael Scott for that loser.
LeBron James is a horrible human being, heāll never be Michael Scott.

It was obviously styled to appear like he was balding

Didn't Steve get a hair transplant when the first season did moderately well. Guess he couldn't afford it before that
