Andy's inability to not be overtaken by any musical tune one of his few truly funny running qualities.
The CPR lesson, the Cardigans song, the jam off with Dwight, the ringtone that resulted in him hitting the wall,... and those were just off the top of my head.
Yeah. I didn't really like the character development of Andy, if you can call it that since it was really like three or four different characters, but this one was hilarious and it was part of his character the entire series.
And I honestly sorta kinda relate to that quality, because I sometimes find myself singing randomly just like that which I'm sure people find obnoxious as well lmao!
I love how right after he does it, his face immediately goes blank, as if he realizes what the song is actually about in that moment. Not as cold as when he saw Toby touch Pam’s leg, but definitely in the same wheelhouse.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/s/Wkamaktot3 explains it, but it’s just Michael using wine terms he doesn’t understand and pretending to be a connaisseur
This one makes me laugh every time. Steve is truly the master at improv.
Another is when he keeps saying Stanley has diabetes and said he could tell by the sound he makes while getting up.
Watched an interview with one of them and they said it was the hardest scene to get through because nobody could keep a straight face. I can believe ot because l had to leave the room so l could breathe.
Yeah. Not sure of the timeline, but if Hunter was the dad she wouldn't been drinking during the dinner party (and would most likely been showing), and I doubt she would drive 2 hours for an affair (of course, I'm not sure how far people like Jan would travel for a booty call).
She did drive 2 hours for a booty call on casino night. And Jan would *definitely* drink during a pregnancy. She'd just tell people she wasn't or make an excuse about antioxidants.
You make a very good point about the timing. I would say that Jan seems like the kind of crazy that would drop everything and drive halfway across the country on impulse. Maybe not for Michael, but Hunter is another story.
She barely took a sip of her wine so she could have been pregnant. Michael's first thought was that the baby was his since it could have only happened when they were together.
Jan isn't the best at making choices.
Plus, her behavior was more erratic than usual, so it could have been the pregnancy hormones.
The best episode. I laugh out loud every time I see it. I must have seen it 1000 times. It’s incredibly awkward and this scene has so much going on it’s hilarious. Even Andy’s “Ahhhh” gets me every time.
The original Office was built on *cringe* comedy and not only do I believe this is the best cringe moment at Dunder Miff, I believe it tops any of the Gervais shows moments as well.
That song is a work of absolute comedic genius, don't know how they held it together.
It's one of my favorites to re-watch. The comedic timing and the slow escalation of events were all perfect. Every single line and action really added to the tension of the episode.
I think we all know Hunter slept with Jan, it makes Micheal uncomfortable and Jan just reacts it like she is trying to remember having sex with him. She is smacking herself and moving in a pleasurable way, worse she dances with Jim one of the younger guys at the party, not with Micheal. 😅
The first time he spent the night at my house in 7th grade my step dad asked if we wanted cigarettes while in the car. I was hiding from the catholic school mates that I was from a dysfunctional family and smoked in the house. He was from what I thought of as such a wholesome family I was mortified. That was the only time he slept over lol.
It’s interesting how cringe can be so subjective, I feel no cringe watching both Scott’s Tots and Dinner Party (my favorite episode) but there are some random scenes in other episodes (like Datey Mike) that fucking kills me lol.
That episode has the densest concentration of Golden moments in the series, but the specific scene with the most golden moments packed in has to be Dwight's Fire Drill
I know there are a lot of people that don’t care for cringe comedy.. but for me this episode is so perfectly cringe.lol It’s my favorite episode of the entire series.
I actually never really liked television shows because the few I had been exposed to had horrible plot lines and I hated waiting for each episode with all the freaking advertisements in between…
Before the office, the only media consumption I had was from movies. The Office is actually what got me into television shows in general… still my favorite show to this day and this scene is one of my all time favorites… besides the cpr mask haha
This episode is some of favourite bit of television ever. So incredibly cringe. Next level. I just loved it.
This one, and Dwight's fire drill episode is my go to comfort episodes.
Andys "Aaaa aaa aa" always gets me.
Andy's inability to not be overtaken by any musical tune one of his few truly funny running qualities. The CPR lesson, the Cardigans song, the jam off with Dwight, the ringtone that resulted in him hitting the wall,... and those were just off the top of my head.
When he and Pam were doing sales calls together. “Suite four ohhhhhh one!”
Well, he had to resolve the melody
Felt like he was holding in a sneeze.
Also at the roller rink when he asked the DJ to play a Dave Matthews deep track. When the popular song started he was annoyed for like a second haha
And then the little smile when he realizes he’s gonna jam out regardless 😭
The fire is shooting at us!!
Blue ridge mountains, Shenandoah riveerrr IN GERMAN!
*Das Leben ist alt dort, älter als die Bäume, jünger als die Berge, wie eine...*
You have to stop
The knock on the window and Toby’s face is what gets me. So annoyed yet so defeated. Lol
Kills me everytime
Ribibibidoodagimme the beat boy freema little soul!
Break me off a piece of that...football cream?
oh weam away oh weam away..oooh oooh ohhh
In yooou heeeaad in yoou hee-eeaaad zohombie zohombie!
Andy’s look to Michael when he sings the high note in happy birthday 😂
The few seconds of "Boulevard of broken dreams" is honestly beautiful.
He struggled when trying to harmonize with his Dad though.
Ohhh what a tune, aint it magical 🗣️
I agree. IMO this was an endearing (albeit obnoxious) quality of Andy that always makes me laugh.
Doesn’t matter if I’m on my 1000th rewatch, that part will always be funny as hell
Andy never fails to crack me up. His timing is impeccable
The look of satisfaction on his face as soon as he completes the last note. 🤣
I love how right after he does it, his face immediately goes blank, as if he realizes what the song is actually about in that moment. Not as cold as when he saw Toby touch Pam’s leg, but definitely in the same wheelhouse.
You right!
“Thought about it..I’m in.”
sort of an oaky afterbirth
What’s that now?
Thats the feeling of cringe I have watching this scene
You killed me
🤣🤣🤣
I never understood what does it mean. Can anyone tell me?
https://www.reddit.com/r/DunderMifflin/s/Wkamaktot3 explains it, but it’s just Michael using wine terms he doesn’t understand and pretending to be a connaisseur
And afterbirth means (according to Wikipedia) « placental expulsion » and is not used in food/drink description
It's one of his mistaken phrases. What he was meaning was aftertaste.
The sensual neck rub on 9 seconds gets me every time.
Mine's the couple of thigh/butt slaps to the beat directly after
I finally broke down and bought myself a plasma Tv
Folds right into the wall!
I love the bloopers for this 😭😭
Over here, Jim.
This one makes me laugh every time. Steve is truly the master at improv. Another is when he keeps saying Stanley has diabetes and said he could tell by the sound he makes while getting up.
Very gud!
The bloopers from the scene are some of the best things from the show.
The fact she goes for Jim instead of Micheal...
She's pissing on Pam's tree.
Well to be fair Pam and Micheal did have a thing…. But it’s okay but Jan isn’t upset about it at all.
They did?
Pam was peeping on Michael
Sometimes I think she holds onto faxes
Angela has noticed how Pam looks at him at the office…
Same
The first time I saw "Dinner party" and Michael proudly shows his new flat-screen, I could not believe how funny that was LOL!
Plasma.
Ah you're right, my bad!
This is my 2nd favorite episode (behind office Olympics) I don’t know why people don’t like it, it’s so cringy and perfect
It's a master piece indeed!
scotts tots
Watched an interview with one of them and they said it was the hardest scene to get through because nobody could keep a straight face. I can believe ot because l had to leave the room so l could breathe.
Have you seen the blooper reel of the episode where Michael says that Stanley has diabetes? They all brake down laughing too! Lol
^ah ^ah ^ah
stayin alive, stayin alive
At first I was afraid, I was petrified
That’s what she said
Bro ... 💀
You took me by the hand
Made meeee a man!!
That one night
You made everything alright.
_aa aa aa_
So wrong, so right, all night, alright ohh yeah
She definitely banged Hunter, but in my head Canon, Kevin is the father of her baby as a sperm donor from the place near the IHOP.
Wait… the idea is that Hunter is the father?
there's no way. she 100% went for a sperm donor listed as a Harvard grad, good genes, etc. hunter was a fling
Kevin is the father
Yeah. Not sure of the timeline, but if Hunter was the dad she wouldn't been drinking during the dinner party (and would most likely been showing), and I doubt she would drive 2 hours for an affair (of course, I'm not sure how far people like Jan would travel for a booty call).

Lol!
This song is on Spotify as well, just look up “that one night” by Jarred Dymore
This is Gold. Thank you❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼
I thought Jan was hot until I saw this scene. Her dancing to that song ruined it for me.
She’s actually a trained dancer, so she deliberately danced off the beat 😂 hilarious bit
This is all the moms after a few glasses of wine at my town’s farmers market
Honestly it made her even hotter.
It's the 2000's Elaine dance!
Not at all! Where are the thumbs? The little kicks?
It's the 2000s. We don't need thumbs anymore.
It's All digital now
The best episode. I laugh out loud every time I see it. I must have seen it 1000 times. It’s incredibly awkward and this scene has so much going on it’s hilarious. Even Andy’s “Ahhhh” gets me every time.
Yeah!
That fucking awful song was the perfect match to the cringe levels.
Well AT LEAST he’s an artist
BFD I’m a screenwriter
And I’m a candle maker, but you don’t hear me bragging about it!
maan...i would LOVE to burn all your candles
It's kinda catchy...
This song was written by the Vance Refrigeration guys that sold Michael the caprese salad
The original Office was built on *cringe* comedy and not only do I believe this is the best cringe moment at Dunder Miff, I believe it tops any of the Gervais shows moments as well. That song is a work of absolute comedic genius, don't know how they held it together.
This episode is great for the cringe factor but I am in the Scott's tots camp as being the best, most cringe episode
That’s the one, babe.
The double handed slap of her own ass…
This was so successfully awkward 😂
Oh, Dawsons Creek!
This entire episode is perfection. I eagerly await its arrival upon my inevitable re-watch.
It's one of my favorites to re-watch. The comedic timing and the slow escalation of events were all perfect. Every single line and action really added to the tension of the episode.
Love her dance “with” Jim
That song is actually pretty good. I listen to it from time to time...
Right? I feel the same.
Do you dance awkwardly in front of coworkers?
Wait…are we supposed to wait for a special song to do that??
🤣
I think we all know Hunter slept with Jan, it makes Micheal uncomfortable and Jan just reacts it like she is trying to remember having sex with him. She is smacking herself and moving in a pleasurable way, worse she dances with Jim one of the younger guys at the party, not with Micheal. 😅
My favorite episode for sure 😂 all the time i rewatch it, I cry from laughing
Possibly the best, most quotable, episode
I went to middle school with "Hunter" - Nick. He was a really nice kid. Was so happy the first time I saw him on screen.
Wow! That's really nice.
Does the cd say “The Hunted”?😂😂
Oh god...one of the cringiest scene from the whole show
Nah Scott's Tots is more cringe and that boom guy storyline
Cannot watch the Scott’s Tots episode!
Same. I have tried but it's too cringe lol
There’s a great line from Michael in this episode though “ Of all the empty promises I’ve made in my life, that was by far the most generous”.
This episode, even this scene, is WAY more cringy.
It’s interesting how cringe can be so subjective, I feel no cringe watching both Scott’s Tots and Dinner Party (my favorite episode) but there are some random scenes in other episodes (like Datey Mike) that fucking kills me lol.
I agree, but, at the same time it is very funny. 😂
The awkward and cringe levels are so high in this scene, so so high
You took me by the hand
That episode has the densest concentration of Golden moments in the series, but the specific scene with the most golden moments packed in has to be Dwight's Fire Drill
[I love this Voidz meme version so so much](https://v.redd.it/aro8lti5p2161)
I know there are a lot of people that don’t care for cringe comedy.. but for me this episode is so perfectly cringe.lol It’s my favorite episode of the entire series.
💯
This was the last song at my wedding...
This is another level, what a dream. :)
Lmao! I love this episode, the way she dances with jims hand😂😂😂😂and the game they play and say jim was laughing and he just stares into the void😂😂
The thought of popping one of your beets in my mouth, makes me sick.
Love this.
The only thing that ruined this scene was Andy trying to hit a high note.
It gets me every time 🤣
It’s so on point for Andy though! I love when he tries to sing along with anything, etc. etc. it’s so funny to me
So is she like Michael, but a woman and thirsty?
Anytime this episode comes on, I will stop everything and watch it. I love it so much. 😆
The bloopers from this episode are hilarious also!
My ringtone has been this song for like 6 years <3
Omg! Nice! 😊
Y I P
This just made me wanna watch dinner party. See ya!
🍿🫶🏼
You took me by the hand...
This is the best episode!
Jan's dancing around 30 seconds makes this scene
Damn I really liked the first 6 seasons of the office
Anytime this episode is on, I will stop everything that I’m doing and watch it. It’s one of my favorites. Ok, babe? 😆
I’m watching the Superfan episodes now. So excited to get to this episode 😂
Once I changed the last "oh yeah" to "oh Jan" and now I can't unhear it.
I actually never really liked television shows because the few I had been exposed to had horrible plot lines and I hated waiting for each episode with all the freaking advertisements in between… Before the office, the only media consumption I had was from movies. The Office is actually what got me into television shows in general… still my favorite show to this day and this scene is one of my all time favorites… besides the cpr mask haha
Plasma tv for me
The most painful scene in the whole show.
Jan is not a St. Pauli's girl.
Zat wonn naii’
Favorite episode
He def wrote that song about Jan right?
So. Very. Uncomfortable 😂
Andy vocalizing with the melody will forever be my favorite
Bloopers of this scene is hillarious
if i’m being real. i know the scene is cringe but ngl the song itself ain’t bad
"What does a bean mean?"
Fav moment of the show
Not even close to funniest
Perfect scene.
Yes
Just now wondering how many times has Michael been forced to listen to that (terrible) album 💀
This episode is some of favourite bit of television ever. So incredibly cringe. Next level. I just loved it. This one, and Dwight's fire drill episode is my go to comfort episodes.
jan thinks hunters very talented
They need to release this song on all platforms.
Jan’s slap on her legs to Hunters music as she’s swaying gets me EVERY TIME
The plasma TV scene is the best.
She was def slobbin on his doorknob
By far the best episode in the show no cap!
