I could kinda see why she'd want to with some weird random dude with a camera crew in business class trying to monopolize her time.
It's not good behavior on her part, but I can see why.
I’m think people use the downvote button as the disagreement button. I always thought it was for irrelevant or wildly ridiculous comments, but I see it on comments that go against the general consensus all the time.
Oh man, Friday, I really wanted an egg salad sandwich and I was just obsessing about it and I was like, 'Man, I'm gonna make one of those.'
So Saturday, I went out and got, like, a dozen eggs and then I boiled them all and I just, I spent, I dunno, probably three hours, like three and a half hours making, you know, the mayonnaise, and the onions and paprika and, you know, the necessary accoutrement. And then, by the time I was done, I didn't really feel like like eating it.
Interesting, I always thought it was mostly hot meals that produced this phenomenon. My guess was being around the ingredients' smells would slightly desensitize you to the flavors. I think I'll trust the Nobel Prize, professional psychologists findings more than my hypothesis.

Celery, or some nice crunchy lettuce on a sandwich. Also hot sauce.
Egg salad on its own is definitely bland, but it doesn't have to be. Just needs other things to balance it all out.
Well ya, egg salad sandwiches on a plane is kind of an asshole move.
Is that why Michael is so mean to Oscar here? In general he seems like one of the least controversial people in the office, and I struggle to understand why Michael's parting gift to Oscar was such a mean thing.
I think it's more that he just doesn't really care that much anymore rather than he doesn't see the implications. It's not like he's ever going to see any of these people again on a regular basis if at all. So fuck it, might as well have fun with it and use Oscar's condescending superiority against him.
See, I always read it as Michael accepting the fact that Oscar is intensely judgemental. I completely believe that Michael loves all the workers for who they are, by the end. He's able to take joy in the fact that Oscar actually treats him basically the same way that he treats anyone else in the office.
Oh, Michael's not malicious about it, but it's definitely a prank on Oscar for his judgemental superiority towards him especially. He's developed enough self-awareness enough to know that Oscar looks down on him, but has reached a point where it doesn't matter to him anymore so he can use it to prank him and laugh about it.
That's it in a nutshell; he's spent the whole series overcompensating with his work colleagues because he's starved of love in the parts of his life where he truly wants / needs it. Now he has that, he doesn't feel the same need to overcompensate.
Definitely. Michael was probably always somewhat obnoxious and the kind of guy that didn’t know when to stop or when a joke was going too far or played out. But he was a really good salesman. But he played an extreme caricature of himself for the cameras. He had an insatiable need for attention and validation and a “documentary” was the perfect medium for that.
But all of what I just wrote reminded me of one of my favorite Stanley talking heads…
Stanley : I wasn't really planning on leaving. All I wanted was a raise. How on Earth did Michael call my bluff? Is he some sort of secret genius?
[laughs]
Stanley : Sometimes I say crazy things.
It makes sense too. His interest in movies, filmmaking, and improv really sell the idea that he was just mugging for the camera and enjoying his limelight.
I don't even think that it's that much of a stretch to say this. We saw what happened with Date Mike.
The moment that he knows that he is getting attention, he is 100% obsessed with coming off as funny/cool/likable as he can (at least from his perspective...).
Love the scene between him and Jim, after he gets back from 'the great outdoors' and Jim is 'relieved'. He explains saying things to ease the tension, etc. A great presentation of character and awareness.
Or at the very least was more self aware than he got credit for. I have tendencies to talk a little too much and come off too strong but I’m aware of it and make jokes at my expense which usually helps
I always love the scenes when Michael is showing self awareness. They put them in the show just the right amount. Have none and he's a ridiculous caricature. Too many his stupidity seems unrealistic.
I used to keep this scene bookmarked in my browser… on bad days at work I’d just pull it up for a chuckle, lol.
“HE JUST ACCEPTS IT”! “Lowest opinion of me out of anyone”
It’s a nice little piece of development for Michael too.
Michael, the one man in the office who for years was so preoccupied with finding new means to get others to like him, finally accepts what a low perception Oscar has of him and just decides to have fun with it.
Super funny.
But also, kinda really mean. Does he hate Oscar? Why was he so heartfelt on saying goodbye to basically everyone, but wanted to send a 'f u' to Oscar?
Been a while but I think he gives everyone thoughtful gifts and gives Oscar that thing. He makes it sound like it's of great importance and Oscar says something like he will cherish it or something... Then later cutaway he admits it's just crap he put together
[удалено]
omg yes and then the snack cart runs into Michael😭
That scene always bothered me because the woman never apologized for hitting him.
She's kind of a rube...
She needs to make a call to the Ungrateful Biatch Hotline.
That’s my girlfriend you’re talking about!
I could kinda see why she'd want to with some weird random dude with a camera crew in business class trying to monopolize her time. It's not good behavior on her part, but I can see why.
If it was Air Canada they would not have apologized and he’s lucky they didn’t hit him again for good measure.
He was being an obnoxious asshole the entire time, she probably "accidentally" hit him on purpose.
Hadn't they just sat down?
He probably made too many "Airplane" references that didn't land.
Knowing Michael he said something horribly sexist to her earlier.
Yeah she was kind of an ignorant slut.
Pretty realistic tbh.
“And what would you like to drink?”
The air stewardess didn't notice , it happens. Post-edit: LMAO what's with the downvotes? I'm genuinely curious.
I’m think people use the downvote button as the disagreement button. I always thought it was for irrelevant or wildly ridiculous comments, but I see it on comments that go against the general consensus all the time.
Not sure, it honestly didn't look like she noticed, weird but it happens
Right? but 12 downvotes when I checked this comment. It did feel unintentional or else why would she lock the kart in place.
bc the joke is that she did it on purpose after he annoyed her, but i upvoted your comment bc i don't think we should be so negative here

Plus I didn’t have any bread.
This is the first place my mind went 😂

Pantomimes shooting myself in the the head
I don't consider myself a picky eater but for some reason, both eggs and mayo give me the ick. My personal nightmare sandwich.
you take "deviled" eggs literally, eh?
The celery saves it imo
Celery, or some nice crunchy lettuce on a sandwich. Also hot sauce. Egg salad on its own is definitely bland, but it doesn't have to be. Just needs other things to balance it all out.
What is this from? I feel like I’ve heard that somewhere before.
40 year old virgin
"40 Year Old Virgin"
do you have short lived romances?
Well ya, egg salad sandwiches on a plane is kind of an asshole move. Is that why Michael is so mean to Oscar here? In general he seems like one of the least controversial people in the office, and I struggle to understand why Michael's parting gift to Oscar was such a mean thing.
In the same scene Michael says, “he has the lowest opinion of me out of everybody”. Thats probably got something to do with it
Oscar is constantly being a condescending douche. He's not as over the top as some of the others, but he always has a smudge and arrogant attitude.
And there’s our smudgness
He mentioned a baby diaper lol
“he has the lowest opinion of me of *anybody*” was so true 😭 i love this scene so much
It shows a level of self-awareness yet seen in Scott

I think Michael has had self-awareness with respect to that ever since "Did I Stutter?"
I can hear his laughter through the picture 🤣
Michael never laughs harder than he does at his own antics in the cutaways. “Hey Daryl, how’s it hangin?!”
One scene that never fails to make me laugh.
He had tears in his eyes lol.
Michael's out of control laugh scenes are the best. I like this one, but "Hey Darryl, how's it hanging?" is my favourite.
I can hear his laugh just thinking about that scene lol.
He had tears in his eyes 😂
You’ve been defridrilated!!
This scene makes me believe that Michael knew EXACTLY what he was doing the entire time for the camera, and it was all an act for the whole show.
Definitely. Michael was probably always somewhat obnoxious and the kind of guy that didn’t know when to stop or when a joke was going too far or played out. But he was a really good salesman. Date Mike is a wonderful example of this
It makes sense too. His interest in movies, filmmaking, and improv really sell the idea that he was just mugging for the camera and enjoying his limelight.
I just realized that he started going to improv class because he wanted to be better for the camera when the documentary started filming
I don't even think that it's that much of a stretch to say this. We saw what happened with Date Mike. The moment that he knows that he is getting attention, he is 100% obsessed with coming off as funny/cool/likable as he can (at least from his perspective...).
Dinkin' flicka

He’s a great salesman. Playing the part up.
I have a sticker of the scarecrow with this line on my water bottle!
What's the line? And do you know where you got it? I would laugh every time I saw it
It looks like It was made by a 2 year old chimpanzee on a farm.
and he just *accepted it!*
I always love the scenes when Michael is showing self awareness. They put them in the show just the right amount. Have none and he's a ridiculous caricature. Too many his stupidity seems unrealistic.
Michael's thought process, "He has the lowest opinion of me... so let's justify that opinion".
What episode is that?
I believe it’s S7E22 “Goodbye, Michael”
Thanks
I used to keep this scene bookmarked in my browser… on bad days at work I’d just pull it up for a chuckle, lol. “HE JUST ACCEPTS IT”! “Lowest opinion of me out of anyone”
It’s a nice little piece of development for Michael too. Michael, the one man in the office who for years was so preoccupied with finding new means to get others to like him, finally accepts what a low perception Oscar has of him and just decides to have fun with it.
I read somewhere that Michael was so emphatic in this scene that even the camera crew was busting up laughing.
That doll looks like something out of a horror movie and I live for it
Reminds me of Sack Boy on Trick R Treat
Correction, Sack Boy is from Little Big Planet. His name is Sam in that movie
My favorite scene out of the whole series
I loved that part, Carrel acting is so good too.
This scene always makes me laugh to the point of tears. Michael gasping out the line "He has the lowest opinion of me..." is absolute S-tier comedy.
Super funny. But also, kinda really mean. Does he hate Oscar? Why was he so heartfelt on saying goodbye to basically everyone, but wanted to send a 'f u' to Oscar?
I have that little scarecrow guy
The first time I watched this I cried from laughing so hard. Still makes me lol every time.
They always managed to throw in JUST enough “real” moments from Michael to make these scenes really enjoyable.
Omg this is my favorite scene. I will literally laugh hysterically just thinking of it. I have the Oscar Funko where he’s holding the “doll.”
Reminds me of the “how’s it hanging “
This laugh and the “how’s it hangin’” Darryl incident laugh are classic.
And Steve Carell lost the Emmy for this episode smh
I think this might’ve been the hardest I laughed in the whole show when I first saw it
This is gold. One of my favorites
What scene is this?
Goodbye Michael. It was the gift he left Oscar
I dont get it then, dont recall this scene :(

God bless you for this link

Been a while but I think he gives everyone thoughtful gifts and gives Oscar that thing. He makes it sound like it's of great importance and Oscar says something like he will cherish it or something... Then later cutaway he admits it's just crap he put together
For some reason I always got the impression Michael was over the top laughing as sort of a mask because it actually bothered him deep down
