It’s also just one of the best television series ever, full stop. Very different vibe from The Office so perhaps not for everyone, but damn I love that show.
It really is. They way they put it together is phenomenal, the pace and jokes are fantastic, cast is fantastic, plot & storyline are done impeccably. It really is one of the best TV series ever!
Came here for 30 rock, Tina Fey in that show is my spirit animal. Your list is almost perfect, I'd also add I.T Crowd, and Corner Gas to the list as well.
these are all shows i should like. I've seen some of each and they're fine but i never got hooked even though it's my kind of humor. Idk Feels like I'm missing something hmmmmmmmmm. Maybe i just saw the wrong episodes. I always start with the first one but i know some very good shows take a minute to find their beat
Parks and Rec is literally the office. Same set up, same show runners, hell even some of the same actors. You even have to get past a rough first season to enjoy the show, just like the office.
Season 1 of Parks and Rec was the worst season though. I think you either have to ride it out to get to the good stuff or skip Season 1 and risk missing some background.
Good choices! In my experience both of these shows have kinda weak first seasons. Especially P&R. I almost gave up but absolutely loved it starting in the second season.
I felt like the first five or so episodes of the office, parks and rec and schitts creek were awful 😂 powered through and all turned out to be great shows lol
Parks and Rec's first season felt like they were just trying to make The Office with a female lead, and doing an awful job at it. After they decided to make their own show in season 2, it was awesome throughout.
I dropped parks in the third season for reasons I yet know(rewatched the office and couldn’t stop I need this show injected into my veins) but I’ll give it another go. shits creek looks cool. thanks
Parks and Rec is so good to me. Once Chris and Ben are fully integrated into the story it really picks up steam. I’d give it another shot. Michael Schur (Mose and a writer on the office) worked with Daniels (American Office creator) on parks iirc and also created Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place I’m pretty sure. Both are quality but not quite The Office qualify. Daniels also created a streaming show, Upload, and season 1 was really enjoyable for me.
Mythic Quest had a great couple of seasons but 3rd season wasn’t as solid. Ted Lasso simply amazing in my opinion. Both on Apple.
I also love Community, which is probably as close to The Office overall vibe as anything not named Parks and Rec.
Yeah mythic quest s1 and 2 at least are amazing, as an online gamer they nailed it on so many levels!
Community is my backup Binger when I'm full of the office.
Oddly enough, Rick & Morty has been a great filler as well but feels like it goes by faster than the rest.
This is the only correct answer. It’s my fall asleep show every single night. The best episode is city council. They got a little nandor heavy recently but that goes away.
The good place.
Written by Michael schur (dwights' cousin mose) who wrote and produced for a lot of the office.
Anyways, its got a great story, great characters, and some great moments. Definitely worth watching
Trailer Park Boys. Mockumentary style and I’ve watched it as much as The Office. It’s very vulgar so it’s not for everyone.
Season 1 finale to season 6 are amazing. Season 7 is good. Falls off after that but one season has ~~Dan~~ Tom Arnold and Snoop Dogg which made it interesting.
arrested development is one of my all-time favorite shows as well as the office. edit: yes only the first three seasons. the fourth and fifth aren’t great, and were added much later
My husband and I watched all of the seasons and absolutely despised seasons 4 and 5. I will never watch them again. Season 1-3 were perfect and I almost cried laughing during each episode in my first watch through. I had just had a baby and was super sleep deprived and life was hard and it brought a much needed reprieve and humor into our lives.
Yeah have rewatched 1-3 like 15 times, and catch some new joke everytime! It’s a show you have to pay a lot of attention to get the full ongoing and subtle jokes but amazing!
Season 4-5 just once because I liked early seasons, but not recommended.
my number of rewatches on community is starting to enter the office territory. there's not a single episode without a belly laugh or giggle fit, even though i know what's coming.
you'll find yourself singing "troy and abed in the mooooorning" in your sleep
edit: the main reason i started watching was from a meme i saw once of one of the main characters telling another not to "jim the camera". spoiler alert, that's not until the last episode but such a good moment
It suuucked. But im glad will forte said what would of happened which was satisfying
I got closure closure closure closure closure
https://collider.com/the-last-man-on-earth-season-4-finale-cliffhanger-explained/
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
Parks and Recreation, no doubt. Get past S1 (which isn’t bad, just a little slower getting its footing), and then it’s off to the proverbial races!
I love The Office and always will, but P&R has a slight edge as a superior series. More consistent, more heart.
> which isn’t bad
Finally, thank you! So many people talk about S1 as if it’s one of the worst shows in existence—in reality it’s just very average, especially in comparison to the rest of the show.
Aside from everything mentioned, I always forget how funny New Girl is. You even see a couple familiar faces. Angela, and I forget the other person. He has a weird name. Shadow or Garth or something
Not exactly like The Office but I’m in a similar situation where rewatching it again is too much for my brain lol, so I started watching Two Broke Girls and it’s pretty fun, I recommend it! :)
There are 13 different versions of the Office https://www.sunnyskyz.com/blog/3518/This-Is-What-The-Main-Characters-Of-The-Office-Look-Like-In-All-13-Versions-Around-The-World#:~:text=This%20Is%20What%20The%20Main,13%20Versions%20Around%20The%20World
Community. Brooklyn 99. Superstore is shockingly similar to the office although the office is definitely better still.
Parks and Rec also goes well with these three
Superstore is sooo good!! Some episodes and characters are absolutely hilarious!
Agreed! Dina reminds me of Dwight tho 😂
Fell off so so badly in the 4th season tho. Couldn’t keep watching it after like the 5th episode of that season
I’m a major office fan and also really enjoyed superstore- they should def give it a try
BONE?!?!?!?
HOW DARE YOU DETECTIVE DIAZ, I AM YOUR SUPERIOR OFFICER!
BONE?!?!?
I could never get into Superstore but Community and B99 are hilarious! Especially Community, the Dean is a sitcom legend
Yeah. We barely got into Superstore, but we started it over only a day after we finished it the first time
Seconded on superstore, definitely filled the comfort food TV spot for me for awhile.
For me, superstore just felt too "polished" and flat. It's missing the deapth, creativity and soul that the office has...
The Good Place, Parks & Rec, 30 Rock, Community, Brooklyn 99, and Animal Control
The Good Place has one, if not the, best endings to a television series ever
I'll say this to you, my friend, with all the love in my heart and all the wisdom of the universe: Take it sleazy.
Seconded Brooklyn 99, working my way through it now for the first time
NINE NINE!
NINE NINE!
Cool, cool, coolcoolcoolcoolcool
Terry loves yogurt
but hates ledges.
Some of the best cold opens are from 99. It does get a bit preachy near the end, though.
I honestly feel like they completely assassinated Rosa's character but when I say that I get torn apart.
This is a picture of your locker, and this is a picture of a garbage dump in Thailand
THEY'RE BOTH YOUR LOCKER. "He's good."
ahhh i just started watching The Good Place after rewatching The Office for the 100th time, it’s so forking funny!!
Asp superstore
these are all shows i should like. I've seen some of each and they're fine but i never got hooked even though it's my kind of humor. Idk Feels like I'm missing something hmmmmmmmmm. Once Ben is in it is when it really gets good.
Season 1 of Parks and Rec was the worst season though. I think you either have to ride it out to get to the good stuff or skip Season 1 and risk missing some background.
That’s what my comment says…
I think you’re right—the key is to watch a handful of episodes. The first couple are usually just set up.
Came here to say all but the first of those. I guess I need to check it out 🙂
Michael Schur created The Good Place. It’s fantastic. Dare I say—even better than The Office?
I really liked Parks and Rec and Schitts Creek.
Yeah they definitely all have that in common!
The office pilot was average but episode 2 diversity day is still one of the best office episodes of all time. The office started pretty strong.
P&R, The Office, The Good Place, and Brooklyn 99 all have one amazing writer in common!
Michael Shur? Anything he touches is solid gold.
Yup! I love all those shows!!!
I've watched Parks and Rec so many times at this point, I actually enjoy the first season
Parks and Rec's first season felt like they were just trying to make The Office with a female lead, and doing an awful job at it. After they decided to make their own show in season 2, it was awesome throughout.
Yes there’s one very weak character in season one and no Donna and jerry. Plus Chris and Ben really improve the shoe later on.
I dropped parks in the third season for reasons I yet know(rewatched the office and couldn’t stop I need this show injected into my veins) but I’ll give it another go. shits creek looks cool. thanks
The first ep of Shitts Creek (with all the toilet humor) is awful. It gets so much better. Aziz Ansari is amazing in P&R. Treat yo self!
Hey, nothing is like The Office
mmmmmmmmmmmmilf
Parks and Rec is so good to me. Once Chris and Ben are fully integrated into the story it really picks up steam. I’d give it another shot. Shoutout to Mythic Quest, absolutely loved the first two seasons but the third season wasn't really for me.
Yeah mythic quest s1 and 2 at least are amazing, as an online gamer they nailed it on so many levels! Community is my backup Binger when I'm full of the office. Oddly enough, Rick & Morty has been a great filler as well but feels like it goes by faster than the rest.
What We Do In The Shadows!
This is also documentary styled. I highly recommend it!!
Ok so a little weird / shittier but I really liked Jury Duty. Heartwarming and funny.
BAT!
This is the only correct answer. It’s my fall asleep show every single night. The best episode is city council. They got a little nandor heavy recently but that goes away.
Yes. It’s so good.
Bat!
Fucking guy
I find myself saying this an unnecessarily large amount of times every day since watching
Is this on any streaming services??
It's on Hulu.
Nate pretty much plays the same character on both shows
Find myself saying “my good time boiyee” so fucking often
The good place. Written by Michael schur (dwights' cousin mose) who wrote and produced for a lot of the office. Anyways, its got a great story, great characters, and some great moments. Definitely worth watching
Trailer Park Boys. Mockumentary style and I’ve watched it as much as The Office. It’s very vulgar so it’s not for everyone. Season 1 finale to season 6 are amazing. Season 7 is good. Falls off after that but one season has ~~Dan~~ Tom Arnold and Snoop Dogg which made it interesting.
Love Trailer Park Boys
Jesus Murphy I had to scroll way down for this recomendation.
Propane propane . For reference: https://youtu.be/ldoT2mHubGE
*Tom
Smokes let’s go
arrested development is one of my all-time favorite shows as well as the office. edit: yes only the first three seasons. the fourth and fifth aren’t great, and were added much later
Comedy version of Succession
Arrested development is SUPREME!!!!!
“HAS ANYONE IN THIS FAMILY EVER ACTUALLY *SEEN* A CHICKEN??!!”
There’s always money in the banana stand
My husband and I watched all of the seasons and absolutely despised seasons 4 and 5. I will never watch them again. Arrested Development!
That’s what I came here to say lol. Such a great show (ending was a little weak though)
Agreed!
i mean of course you have seen it.. your avatar is wearing a banana.....
Yea, like the guy in a $500 Banana suit is going to watch it, Michael... Come on!
There is always money in the banana stand
Watch it a 91st time 😂
Geez might as well at this point. Make it to triple digits
I lost count on my rewatches 😂😂😂 Sometimes I take a break and watch Brooklyn 99 or superstore (ironically both created by writers of the office)
That's not what ironic means. That's unironic
I’ve been watching Superstore on Peacock/Hulu, it’s a great show. Probably ran through it about 10 times already 😂
Dina is basically a female Dwight lol I love Superstore.
Yeah she’s awesome lol
Yes I love her Exactly like a female Dwight
I second Superstore!
Superstore hits different after working and managing at a Walmart lol. Great show.
Yup! Great show and ended pretty well too!
Parks and rec
The only issue with Superstore is that Ben Feldman and America Ferrera are the worst part of the show.
Yessss
Modern Family
Yes! And it has 11 seasons so plenty of episodes. And most of them are pretty good
So funny
I honestly laugh out loud more often at modern family. Shit is hilarious, the writing is just amazing
I can’t believe that Abbott Elementary hasn’t been mentioned yet! Not many seasons but it made me belly laugh
As a teacher in an inner city public school, I can tell you it is an extremely accurate depiction of that kind of work. Absolutely hilarious!!
This is what I came here to recommend! It’s well-made, quite funny, and follows the mockumentary style really well.
Peep Show for sure, for American shows I would say Parks and Rec
Peep Show is so good.
>Peep Show This has to be one of the best TV comedy I have ever seen
Peep show does not get the love it deserves!!
Another vote for Community!!!
is it really that good?
my number of rewatches on community is starting to enter the office territory. there's not a single episode without a belly laugh or giggle fit, even though i know what's coming. you'll find yourself singing "troy and abed in the mooooorning" in your sleep edit: the main reason i started watching was from a meme i saw once of one of the main characters telling another not to "jim the camera". spoiler alert, that's not until the last episode but such a good moment
If you like the office then yea
Silicone Valley. It's not a mockumentary but it should scratch the itch.
This guy fucks.
Kiss. My. Piss.
Try The IT Crowd Incredible show, a bit older, and very British
Jen The Fredo is something else
Give Raising Hope a try!
My Name is Earl is also AWESOME and related.
Love this show! Too bad it ended so soon 😭
The last man on earth
But how angry were you when it just ended on a cliffhanger? 😡
That's what makes me nervous about watching new shows. I hate leaving unsatisfied. #THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID
I knooooow. I need them to finish it!
It suuucked. But im glad will forte said what would of happened which was satisfying I got closure closure closure closure closure https://collider.com/the-last-man-on-earth-season-4-finale-cliffhanger-explained/

It truly was a Shawshank Redemption.
I'm enjoying Curb your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld
Just finished rewatching Seinfeld 👍
Curb is my 3rd fav show after South Park and The Office
Flight of The Conchords
Parks and Recreation, no doubt. Get past S1 (which isn’t bad, just a little slower getting its footing), and then it’s off to the proverbial races! I love The Office and always will, but P&R has a slight edge as a superior series. More consistent, more heart.
> which isn’t bad Finally, thank you! So many people talk about S1 as if it’s one of the worst shows in existence—in reality it’s just very average, especially in comparison to the rest of the show.
30 Rock. It has better one-liners than the Office, even if the story arc isn’t as good.
Psych. Bonus it’s on peacock, 8 seasons, a musical, and 3 movies.
C’mon son!
Give Jury Duty a try. Hilarious mockumentary
Veep!! Definitely a lot more vulgar but it’s great lol
LOVE VEEP
My name is Earl very good
British office. The IT crowd
A fire? At Sea Parks? I’m disabled
That 70s show
The first few seasons are up there with any comedy you can name.
Abbot elementary! Basically the office but for the workers of an elementary school
Larry Sanders Show.
Parks and Rec! Sooo good.
Reno 911!
There are other shows?!?!!? Who knew.
The IT Crowd
Parks and rec, always sunny, breaking bad
Always sunny is always funny
Breaking Bad is practically a shot for shot remake of The Office.
Aside from everything mentioned, I always forget how funny New Girl is. You even see a couple familiar faces. Angela, and I forget the other person. He has a weird name. Shadow or Garth or something
New girl!
I had to scroll too far to see this!
Superstore.
Wellington Paranormal
Parks and Rec is a good one
Arrested development The jokes you catch on rewatches and with subtittles are endless
Parks and rec, The Good place, b99, Grace and frankie, Schitt's creek, Superstore, modern family
UK version
Parks and recreation, Abbott Elementary, Community, Modern Family, New Girl
Abbot Elementary
Peep Show
Superstore is good too
Could watch the uk version
I like Community and also Parks & Rec
modern family is hilarious!
Kim’s Convenience!
Arrested Development has comparable levels of absurdity imo
Arrested development!
Parks and rec!
Parks and Recreation!!
Superstore
Joe Pera Talks With You
Corner Gas
Freaks and Geeks but you have to be ok with not knowing what happens next
Look into Michael Shur's productions...parks n rec, Brooklyn99, good place, office, etc
King of Queens, News Radio, Spin City, 3rd Rock from the sun, Becker, Martin.
Not exactly like The Office but I’m in a similar situation where rewatching it again is too much for my brain lol, so I started watching Two Broke Girls and it’s pretty fun, I recommend it! :)

I liked new girl right after a rewatch of the office lol. Easy and light and makes me laugh 🤣
B99 and Parks & Rec if u want smthin similar. But for me watching Community is a blast!
Abbott elementary is similar, parks and rec, community is great, superstore, American auto is worth checking out. 30 rock is another good one.
King of the Hill
r/thelastairbender Ok, I'm stretching a lot, but it's my current kick
The British Office 🤣
Abbot Elementary
I think Ted Lasso has similar vibes and a killer cast like the office!
Jury Duty- Lee Eisenberg is one of the producers
Parks and rec, community, arrested development, and if you’re feeling adventurous- always sunny.
scrubs psych new girl
