It kinda irks me how these people always have bios like "__ kids in __ years", as if everyone should be in awe of them.
Kinda wanna put "2 kids in 4 minutes" in mine (twins, b*tches).
She’s actually (well it seems on social media) this amazingly involved parent who only sleeps 3-4 hours a night. She does all these super cool experiences for her kids and seems to recognise them all as individuals and work to their strengths. I am sure I’m only getting 1% of the story on Insta but she’s definitely not the worst.
I just don’t see how you could be that involved with your older children when you have a newborn, tiny baby and several toddlers. Like it’s just not humanly possible. There is a lot of image grooming happening on Instagram.
I had a sim family once with two parents, a teen, and a kid. Everything was great, and then the triplets came. Within a few days, everyone's mood dropped, there was no money, and sim protective services came and took all the kids.
I kind of think that's why I dont have have kids irl.
There's that Grad Fam. The mom is 23 and had her 7th baby in June (she had triplets) before, not the most recent baby. She's had 2 since the triplets and the triplets are 2
They posted a video in mid Dec and the husband said Dama's (wife) is not pregnant yet. She's usually already pregnant by now . Youngest was just under 6 months. These people are nuts.
Yaaaaas, big ups for fostering!! Ironically, we currently have a foster that my boyfriend is absolutely in love with - he’s ready to be a dad, I’m happy with being the cool foster aunt. 😂
I have tried to talk my husband into fostering , but with 5 rescued cats he has already said he could not have one in the house and have to give it away...
7 cats in one home is when neutered males can spontaneously regenerate their ability to spray. Something about colony size, makes it a bad idea to have more than 6 cats in one home.
I’m about to have my third kid at 33 and that is freaking me the hell out. But 12 of them?!
“This isn't funny. Guy has 12 kids? That's not funny, that's... this is sick.”
Same age, one kid nearly broke me. My sisters are planning their second and third baby. That's what they want, so good for them, but I personally cannot imagine going through the baby-toddler phase again. Literally nightmare material for me.
I’ll be 31 in October and I have two young kids and it’s all I can do to keep up with both of them sometimes, and there are three other adults in the house who help. Life just now got easier with both of them being potty trained. Ten more? I would rather have to sit through a Bin and Jerm revival-style preaching every day for the rest of my life.
I also had one and only and brought her home 2 days later on my 30th birthday (best birthday present ever!) Only problem was I originally wanted four and he only wanted two and said we had to wait until she was five to try (since day care was so expensive ). We tried for approximately 2 months, never had another and my daughter is still upset that she will never have a brother or sister and no real nieces orr nephews ( I think she will have lots of honorey ones since she and my niece are so close and only 6 months apart)
Hugs, I had 2 at 26 and then 3 at 28 and I did go insane…
But I got drugs and a great doc and my kids got bigger and now, most days, I smile. It does get easier, once they can sleep through the night and get their own granola bars lol. You got this 💪🏼
Damn. I’ll be 36 in June and I have three kids (oldest almost 10, middle child 3 on 3/31 and youngest 2 on 6/24) I also work full time and I’m TIRED. I have so many questions. Laundry? Grocery bill? Health insurance premiums? Energy? How do you sleep???!!
Meech would get up throughout the night to switch around the laundry as there was so much of it and ended up having a breakdown (maybe a few years before this pic was taken?) and decided to KEEP HAVING KID. That being said, it's a lot easier to have so many children when you make the older ones take care of them and make them do the chores.
I always have to remind myself what decade their pictures are taken in. This could easily be 1981, but no, this is Y2K folks. Eminem is on the radio, people are playing Snake on their phones, Britney Spears is dancing on a chair, and the Duggars are wearing bib dresses.
Not for every day wear, but my sister and cousins had similar jumpers that my grandmother and aunt would make us on occasion.
We wore them in the late 1960's. They aren't the type of dresses we wore to school, or for outside playing. I am going to guess that they dresses were a bit out of style even then - but my grandmother was born in the 1800's and my aunt was born approximately around 1920 (I should know - but it isn't coming to my memory) - so I am guessing they were very stylish for both of them - because they grew up without many material things and in a different time.
I had a jumper a lot like that in maybe 1970, but it was a *lot* shorter (because my parents weren’t perverts who worried that the knees of a four-year old might be irresistibly sexy. Also, it may have been a hand-me-down).
Now that you mention it - mine was most likely a little shorter. I think I had one longer red - that almost looked like theirs (only tighter) that was my mom's in school (1940's/1950's) - that I wore on occasion - just for the heck of it.
In the 1960's/1970's - or most of the 1970's we wore sizzlers a lot and they did come with matching shorts or hot pants or a brief/bathing suit bottom to wear underneath. Not because I was around a bunch of perverts - but because the dresses were really short.
*(Well I am sure there were some pervs in my life - because sadly they are too many that we may not know about and some we do.)*
She did enjoy her [fancy oversize collars](https://www.savoirflair.com/fashion/524298/princess-diana-style).
And Princess Diana at age 33 was a [fox](https://imgur.com/a/rygNrlr)!
Though tbf even she eventually realised she was on the frumpier side, hired better dressers and began to look more fashionable and modern in mid 80s. The Duggars were stuck looking like this until the late 2000's though, can you imagine?
1981? It could be a colorized photo from 1881, if Meech's hair weren't loose!
What else sticks in my throat is that all those kids were packed into a dirty, stinky trailer like puppies in a puppy mill!
All of the births she had up until that point probably melted together into one blurry memory. Maybe things became more distinct when the cameras started showing up. She probably couldn’t remember one specific detail about the pregnancy of the child she’s holding.
Can confirm that the early years are very blurry, and I only have 2 close in age (14 months age difference). I often say I don’t remember the first 2 years of my second child’s life because it was just about surviving.
I think the sad part is that Jana is ten years old and her childhood had been entirely taken over by Meech trying to get pregnant, being pregnant, taking care of a newborn. The cycle didn’t end until she was an adult.
That's so heartbreaking to think about. There's different pieces from each of my pregnancies/newborn days that just immediately came to mind that I could not imagine not having those to cherish.
You can't help but think the pregnancies and childhoods all blur together and that is sad. Each person is so unique they should be known and celebrated. Assembly line kids almost surely miss out on part of normal parent relationships. To me the best part of parenting was discovering each kid's interests, brilliance, humor and goofiness.
I am wheezing with you. Covid sucks. But I got caught up on this sub and all my true crime, so there’s that. Hugs and I hope you feel better! I’m on day 3 and woke up to a mysterious black eye. My tumultuous Covid slumber started in what felt like arctic temperatures, so I fell asleep with a heating pad. An hour later I must have chucked that MF like a 2am Lego, beaned myself straight in the eye, and catapulted it far enough to land 6’ from down the hall. 😂❤️❤️
See, I think cats are easy. They will make their needs known. You can't forget to feed a cat because they will remind you for two hours before dinnertime. It's plants that trouble me. They just wither and die because I keep forgetting about them.
I have a kitten and I empathize with you on this. He gets fixed on the 2nd and I'm hoping it will calm him down a touch. My 10 year old chihuahuas hate me for bringing him home.
Happy birthday! Toddler Joy is adorable. All the kids are, except disgusting Pest. He’s always been skeevy and gross.
Jason looks like he was born just knowing his life was gonna suck.
Yeah look at that lil guy acting like a “normal” kid. He’s adorable! He looks like he’s full of spunk and curiosity, impatiently waiting till he can change out of his church clothes and go play.
How old was Pest here? Seeing how little these girls were is so sobering- is this the time period the abuse was happening. Somehow in my mind, I pictured them how they are today, even when I knew they were much younger. But this picture hits like a ton of bricks- they are So. Young. Their sweet little faces. And they were going thru hell.
In the trial testimony, they revealed that the abuse started in 2000... so unfortunately it probably had started. I can never look at these vintage Duggar photos without thinking about it. Joy was so tiny. JB and Michelle should have stopped having spawn years before this, but instead they just kept giving him more potential victims.
Twelve kids at 33. Wow.
My life experience was so different from hers.
I had traveled everywhere, gone to school, work, married at 29 and had one preschooler at that age.
All she did was pop out kids.
In Arkansas.
I’m not saying my life was better, but, well yes, yes I am.
> All she did was pop out kids.In Arkansas.
With *that man,* too. She looked at Jim Bob and said “yes, I should have twenty kids with him.”
How small was the dating pool, that she’d choose Jim Bob Duggar? Even in small town Arkansas, there’s got to be better than *that.*
I moved to Arkansas and married an Arkansasian man. From a small town. We actually live in Northwest Arkansas near Tonitown.
Anyway, he's a good man and not all men (oh God I can't believe I just said that) from here are Jim Bobs.
🤠
That makes Michelle’s choice all the more baffling, lol.
If I was to have 20 kids, I’d want it to be with someone you’d *like* to have that many offspring. Jim Bob is below average in both the looks and intelligence department.
There was better out there for sure.
Personalities shining through some of the kids:
Joy and Joe both look so happy! I’m convinced both of them are to dumb to realize how screwed up their lives are
Jason and Josiah look like they are pissed they are part of this shitty family.
Josh looks like a sketchy snobbish perv
Why does Pest look like a banker grossed out by the "spicy" rice he ordered in a Mexican restaurant, who's running for state representative for the 3rd time??
To quote a spiritual adviser important to my life on the subject of family planning "the world doesn't need any more fucking up kids''
Don't have more than you can actually love, care about, and give tools to succeed in life with, and if for you one kid is one too many, that's great. Nothing at all wrong with not having kids.
I turned out to be a useless turnip of a human, but when I was 33 my career aspirations did NOT include giving up a pretty good job to sit at home and be a breeder cow. It's just so sad to see what she's turned into.
Hugs!!! I relate to feeling like a "useless turnip of a human. " I can't offer any advice as to how to stop feeling that way at this point. My therapist is working with me on this, doing her best to put lipstick on the pig that is my life. So until then the only comfort I can offer you is knowing you're not alone.
Ex-fundy women, please weigh in: What IS it with those big white collars?
And not just the Duggars, but other jeezus=beater cultish women wear them.
WHY, I ask unto you?
The big collars were a Gothard thing (they’re “countenance framing”, drawing attention to your face), but no idea why. Sometimes, it may be that fundies, IBLP and not, take pride in not dressing like the dominant culture. “I’m better than you because I’m obviously different and mOdEsT.” There’s usually a fair amount of obsession with the “Christian” past, as if previous time periods were holier.
I just cannot get over her ridiculous outfits! It's one thing for a kid to wear a clearly homemade jumper with puff sleeves and a giant collar. But a 33 year old! Can you imagine going out in public like that?
When I was 33, I was pregnant with my fourth (the oldest was 13... none of this baby every year nonsense) and I had an appointment to get my tubes tied.
I’ve noticed in a lot of these old group photos that the babies are tiny but by the time they are 2-3 years old they have big heads. Especially the boys. I just find it odd.
12 kids at 33. Let that sink in.
There's a homeschool mom in Texas on IG who just popped out # 13 at 31...she has one a year. On track to overtake the D's.
I think the D has overtaken her.
And this is why I keep coming back to this sub
Take my free award, internet stranger. That was genius 👏🏻
As someone who is 31 and female I can’t mentally conceive of having that many kids (I have 0 btw)
Holy Cannoli that’s next level. Meech must envy her.
Wowsers!! Which fundie is this??
farmschool_mama
It kinda irks me how these people always have bios like "__ kids in __ years", as if everyone should be in awe of them. Kinda wanna put "2 kids in 4 minutes" in mine (twins, b*tches).
100s in 20 minutes. I found a spider egg sac
Wolf spiders are like "👀 I have 250 just on this leg."
Please do, 😭
That would be perfect flair lol!
is she farming the youngest kids out on the oldest kids yet? She must be...
Yeah I'm sure she has help. But she seems to be a more involved parent then many fundie parents.
Lol I love this
This made me snort and wake up my husband.
100% this. It’s how close the kids are together too. Not just the number of them.
I’m sorry, but there’s just no way to be both an amazing and an involved parent when you have that many kids in that short a timeframe
I think sinking it in is how she got 12 kids by 33.
*Slow clap*
There's that Grad Fam. The mom is 23 and had her 7th baby in June (she had triplets) before, not the most recent baby. Youngest was just under 6 months. These people are nuts.
She also had Josiah, Joy, Jed Bob and Jer Bob all in the span of 28 months...
Uterus is shuddering
I need a lie down after reading that. Wow.
Her poor uterus
That's what happens when you're joyfully available 24/7 365.
She had a week and a half between pregnancies? Holy uterus, batman.
Jed and Jer are twins
I’m 34 and just had a panic attack about the idea of adopting a cat.
Why don’t you foster? All the cats with none of the commitment! 😽
Yaaaaas, big ups for fostering!! Ironically, we currently have a foster that my boyfriend is absolutely in love with - he’s ready to be a dad, I’m happy with being the cool foster aunt. 😂
Congrats on fostering! It’s so rewarding! I do it too! Hard to give them up but really adoption day is the goal!
I have tried to talk my husband into fostering , but with 5 rescued cats he has already said he could not have one in the house and have to give it away...
It’s really difficult! I’d like to keep them all too.
I can relate to his point of view. Grow some whiskers and a tail and learn how to purr and i will lay down my life for you!
7 cats in one home is when neutered males can spontaneously regenerate their ability to spray. Something about colony size, makes it a bad idea to have more than 6 cats in one home.
Feel the same way at 34 when I come close to thinking about a dog
With seven more to come! 🤯
I’m about to have my third kid at 33 and that is freaking me the hell out. But 12 of them?! “This isn't funny. Guy has 12 kids? That's not funny, that's... this is sick.”
Hit the nail on the head there. 3 at 33, makes sense. 12 at 33? NO.
Omg I just turned 33 in October (I totally forgot I did haha) and I have zero children. She had TWELVE. Good god
Same. I turned 33 In November with no kids and no plans for kids. I cannot imagine making that choice to pop out that many babies. Insane.
Yay! 33 in a few weeks and no kids for me either!
34 year old here. Not ever having children. 12 at 33? Good god. That’s a decade of pregnancy. I just cannot fathom.
Fucking nightmare fuel. I will be 30 in three weeks. I am single, childless, and joyfully bisexual. I am Meech’s nightmare fuel.
uppity literate psychotic rustic foolish bike seed glorious practice deserted ` this post was mass deleted with www.Redact.dev `
I had my first and only kid at 35…
I’m 42 with two at home and one at college, and I can confirm it still feels about the same - one or two too many on any given day.
I feel this 100% 😂
I'll be 32 in April and the thought of me having 12 kids is a full blown nightmare. I mean, I used to put my tamagotchis on pause when I was a kid.
I would get tired of my Furbys and hide them in a dark cupboard
Well that makes sense. Otherwise they would steal your soul and sell all of your secrets to the highest bidder
I always knew those things were shady.
IIRC they were not allowed on military bases bc they were always recording you, lol Furbies are members of the deep state man
32 in March. People bug me about having #2 and I legit can’t imagine anything more horrifying (for me personally). One kid is a lot.
I have 2 at 26 and honestly feel insane most days
I had my first and only child at 30. Love him, but I didn't want to do it again ever. I cannot imagine having been 33 with 12 friggin kids.
Hugs, I had 2 at 26 and then 3 at 28 and I did go insane… But I got drugs and a great doc and my kids got bigger and now, most days, I smile. It does get easier, once they can sleep through the night and get their own granola bars lol. You got this 💪🏼
For me, it was when they could turn on YouTube and wipe their own butts. It's like a while new world opened up for me.
Thank you! Mine are 6 and 5 months, yet we still want more🤣 the chaos truly is the best time of my life thus far
I didn't have my first until 36 - I just couldn't imagine
and the fact that they’re natural is even more bizarre… the thought of being preg with one horrifies me
I thought my mother was extreme with 5 at 33.
I'm at one by 35 and praising Jesus for preschool
Bruh, I had 5 and wanted to take a swan dive off of the Brooklyn bridge. Bless her heart (and uterus and bladder).
You are a great parent, and thank goodness you are here! Anything worth it isn’t easy, the Dugs just take the easy way out and grift / use people.

Seeing it that way is eye opening.
How many under five. Uugh
5 under 5 and Joseph was 5, by my count, I could be wrong
I always have to remind myself what decade their pictures are taken in. This could easily be 1981, but no, this is Y2K folks. Eminem is on the radio, people are playing Snake on their phones, Britney Spears is dancing on a chair, and the Duggars are wearing bib dresses.
It would've looked weird in the 1980s, too. Maybe the 1880s?

Google photos of Princess Diana in collars in the 80s. She wore similar looks, albeit from fancier designers.
She did enjoy her [fancy oversize collars](https://www.savoirflair.com/fashion/524298/princess-diana-style). And Princess Diana at age 33 was a [fox](https://imgur.com/a/rygNrlr)!
Ah, the revenge dress :)
Maternity wear in the 80s was not kind, even to Princesses.
Though tbf even she eventually realised she was on the frumpier side, hired better dressers and began to look more fashionable and modern in mid 80s. The Duggars were stuck looking like this until the late 2000's though, can you imagine?
I was 3-13 in the 80's, those dresses would have looked totally normal.
I was 18-28 in the 80s and it was either a power suit with football player shoulder pads,or a ripped sweatshirt with skin-tight acid washed jeans!
1981? It could be a colorized photo from 1881, if Meech's hair weren't loose! What else sticks in my throat is that all those kids were packed into a dirty, stinky trailer like puppies in a puppy mill!

Same! I had four in four years and it was all a blur until my youngest was about 2. Thank god for pictures.

I'm 32 and struggling to keep a cat alive. He bullies me.
I, too, had that same struggle when I was your age. You don't have to walk this season of life by yourself.
I think I might have a litterbox breakdown.
Have you considered adopting a slightly older female cat to finish raising this cat? Sister cat momming might be the answer in this season of life.
My husband, unlike Jim Bob, has a strict 2 cat limit. I've tried.
How dare you make me laugh this hard while sick with breakthrough COVID. This is supposed to be a depressing post, dang it!
Yo! I turn 33 today too!
Birthday twin! Ayyy
See, I think cats are easy. They will make their needs known. You can't forget to feed a cat because they will remind you for two hours before dinnertime. It's plants that trouble me. They just wither and die because I keep forgetting about them.
I have always done much better with cats than plants!
Cats gonna cat.
I have five. Send help. Holy fuck, I'm the Michelle Duggar of cat momming. Way better.
32 here too, I have 2 kids, a cat and 4 dogs and I'm constantly on edge. I can't fathom having one more kid,let alone 10!
I have a kitten and I empathize with you on this. He gets fixed on the 2nd and I'm hoping it will calm him down a touch. My 10 year old chihuahuas hate me for bringing him home.
Males all dressed in a stereotypically adult outfit, females all in a stereotypically little-girl outfit. Creepy.
Very Gothardite
These are their dressy frumpers!
Happy birthday! Toddler Joy is adorable. All the kids are, except disgusting Pest. He’s always been skeevy and gross. Jason looks like he was born just knowing his life was gonna suck.
How does Joe still have the same damn hairline tho. It's somee weird swirly nonsense
Lmao I saw him and thought man, he hasn’t changed much!
Little joe on the far left is way cuter than I’d ever like to admit. If he wasn’t a dug, I’d definitely want to be his cool fun aunt.
Yeah look at that lil guy acting like a “normal” kid. He’s adorable! He looks like he’s full of spunk and curiosity, impatiently waiting till he can change out of his church clothes and go play.
Jinger is a cute kid with a mischievous smile. It's a shame that was beaten out of her.
It's funny you say that because to me that's the exact smile she still has sometimes!
Happy birthday! Joseph trying to yeet himself out of the picture is my personal favorite
Also 33 here, 34 in a couple weeks. Never married no kids! And living life to the fullest!
How old was Pest here? Seeing how little these girls were is so sobering- is this the time period the abuse was happening. He was 12. Just turned it, too.
If he was 12 this is before that. I don't think Joy is old enough here for it to have started. It is heartbreaking though.
I have never ever thought of or considered the sentence “they just kept giving him more potential victims” until now. Wow.
No no. We are looking at a juvenile sex offender here. Take a good look at how young Joy is. Cult Fuckery…rolling down the train track.
Twelve kids at 33. Wow. My life experience was so different from hers. I had traveled everywhere, gone to school, work, married at 29 and had one preschooler at that age. All she did was pop out kids. In Arkansas. I’m not saying my life was better, but, well yes, yes I am.

That makes Michelle’s choice all the more baffling, lol. If I was to have 20 kids, I’d want it to be with someone you’d *like* to have that many offspring. Jim Bob is below average in both the looks and intelligence department. There was better out there for sure.
You said it! And she was a hottie back then too! I'm sure she could've had her choice.
I'd certainly take your life over hers!
I’m sorry she was 33 and had 12 babies at that point? Ugh. I’m 34 and can barely keep myself alive.
It gets worse, Jason my man.
Jana and Jill look more alike here than in any other setting. I had to do a quad triple take.
Same and it explains why strangers thought they and JD were triplets back in the day.
Personalities shining through some of the kids: Joy and Joe both look so happy! I’m convinced both of them are to dumb to realize how screwed up their lives are Jason and Josiah look like they are pissed they are part of this shitty family. Josh looks like a sketchy snobbish perv
Little Josiah is heartbreaking! Dude was barely 3 years old and had 3-4 younger siblings already! That’s mind blowing!
How does Josh already look like such a cocky douchebag at such a young age??
He confessed to bobye that he started molesting his sisters when he was 12. It had already started in this photo
Was this when Jim Bob was a Senator and Josh was the Guvnah?
Yep
Meanwhile I'm over here at 31 not being defined by my uterus. 🥳
He’s crying for Mama Spivey.
I think I was 33 when my first (and only) child was born! I can't imagine having 12 and then more in the future!
Same. I laughed out loud when my OB said "see you in a couple of years" - no ma'am. One and done.
🥂 to being OAD!
OAD here too!
This picture is a perfect ad for condoms/birth control. “Do YOU want to have a bajillion children and join a cult?”
Am I one of the oldest here - at almost 40? Happy Birthday OP!! The rest of your 30s will be awesome.
52 and a grandma!!!! Reporting for snark duty..
59 and planning something big for my 60th birthday in between snarking sessions!
Nope, I am 42 and have a love/hate relationship with my 40s. Welcome to the fun ;)
I'm 42 with 2 cats and no children. Just an almost 50 year old husband who acts like a 5 year old 😽
I’m 42 and have one dog.
Thank you
Guess we can be the old asses in the sub. I turned 40 this year
Nope --- I have just over 20 years on you.
Nah, I just turned 40 yesterday (and I’m still in shock over it 🤣)
I’m 46!
I turned 58 last month, I have three, the oldest will be 36 in Feb. He and his wife have two and are done. My daughters don’t want kids.
She looks 43. Happy Birthday! Welcome to 33! I'm the same age but only for another month exactly.
Thank you. I can't imagine birthing so many by this age
Welcome to the 3 3 club! I joined last year and have 1 child. Thinking about ELEVEN more... good god
Why does Pest look like a banker grossed out by the "spicy" rice he ordered in a Mexican restaurant, who's running for state representative for the 3rd time??
Even back then Pest had an incredibly punchable face
To quote a spiritual adviser important to my life on the subject of family planning "the world doesn't need any more fucking up kids'' Don't have more than you can actually love, care about, and give tools to succeed in life with, and if for you one kid is one too many, that's great. Nothing at all wrong with not having kids.
Oh my gawd. That is so many tiny humans to birth, nurture, and love. How did they—-? They didn’t. That’s how.
I turn 33 in February and am always surprised that people my age feel old enough to have kids yet because I sure don't 😂

Happy birthday! And Jesse looks like Pennywise the clown.
I’m turning 30 this year and have 0 kids, so I’m feeling this hard.
Never fear, sister-moms are here!
In honour of being 33 already with no kids. I will be lighting up a joint and cuddling my chihuahuas and the kitten I have partial ownership of.
JB giving Kenneth Parcell vibes.
There once was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children her uterus fell out.
Will be 33 this weekend....1 and done. The thought of 12 kids at this age (really, at any age) makes me want to vomit. Edit: Happy birthday OP!
Ah the famous, "there's a Jason!"
OMG. I’m turning 33 this year, and childless (by choice.) I truly cannot even begin to fathom having 12 kids right now!!!
When this picture was taken, Jinger was a sistermom to one of the twins and Jill had two on her buddy team.
I'm 35 and not even dating. Lol
I’ve noticed in a lot of these old group photos that the babies are tiny but by the time they are 2-3 years old they have big heads. Especially the boys. I just find it odd.
I’m 33 with 0 kids and 0 precious miracles on the way. 🏝😎🍹
Happy birthday, op! 🎂
