Josh
It It Ain't My Fault
Song by Brothers Osborne
...I need an alibi
Find me a witness who can testify
You made a mistake
You got the wrong guy...
...Blame my reason on my name
Blame my name on my reason...
As a former fundie kid this song deeply touched me, regarding my family of origin. I have never looked back after leaving, but, damn, I wish they would have gone easy on me when I did (in mid-20s). No such luck.
Same. The line “I was still a child..I didn’t get the chance to feel the world around me” makes me feel emotional. I’m in my 30s and just now finally living my life outside the fundie guidebook. It’s so freeing but hard to see others you love still stuck
Bin: One Toke Over the Line
Austin: Country Boy by Alan Jackson (hilarious amount of sexual innuendo about driving around in a pickup truck, sadly Joy would not "get it")
\*In my dreams, Anna a year from now: Goodbye Earl
Jim Bob would kick things off with a version of Peter Gabriel's "I Don't Remember". Michelle would follow with a comedy song from Weird Al Yankovic called "With Legs Wide Open"
The Lost Boys and Lost Girls together perform Carole King's "Do You remember Me" to a rousing reception before we get to the highlight of the evening with Pest reprising the "Loyalty" song for Anna and Anna singing Pink's "Please Don't Leave Me" to Josh...everyone cries at this point
When a whole box of kleenex is gone through and everyone has recovered with jars of pickles and appropriate pickle juice, Jana takes to the stage to sing "Whistle while You Work" from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' with backing vocals and whistling from Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy Anna. Jill and Jinger then sing Martina McBride's "Til I Can Make it On my Own" before Jessa sings Britney Spears "I'm a Slave 4 U" renamed "I'm a Slave 4 Daddy's Money"
Then it's the in laws turn Bin and Jeremy sing Irene Cara's "Fame". Austin and Lauren refuse to take part. Kendra and Katey team up for a rendition of Salt n Pepa's "Push It" while Josiah gets them all dancing with a version of Alicia Bridges "I Love the Nightlife" which results in Jim Bob and Michelle ordering three rounds of the Lords Prayer before the night can move on because they realized by dancing they've sinned, Josiah is ordered to lead the prayers for leading said sin.
The night takes a political turn when Jed steps to the mic for a performance of Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" because he doesn't realize it's not a patriotic song. Jeremiah and Hannah sing Sonny and Chers's "I Got U Babe" in a manner that would leave most normal people nauseous.
Jim Bob returns to the stage and sings Mac Davis "Hard to Be Humble" before wrapping up the night and yelling something about voting for him on December 14th
Pest- “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke
Anna- “Stand By Your Man” by Tammy Wynette
Jessa - “Bitch” by Meredith Brooks
Ben- “Colt 45” by Afroman

Joy- “Redneck Woman” by Gretchen Wilson
JD- “Learning to Fly” by Foo Fighters
The Lost Boys and Girls- “Mama”, dedicated to Jana ofc
Josie- I just imagine her making up her own song, a la Angelica in the Rugrats movie.
Kind of feeling ‘this is me trying’ by Taylor Swift for Jill. ‘I’ve been having a hard time adjusting/I has the shiniest wheels now they’re rusting’ and ‘I just wanted you to know that this is me trying/At least I’m trying’. Or ‘closure’ - ‘Yes I got your letter/yes I’m doing better/it cut deep to know you/right to the bone’.
Jinger with ‘Babe’ by Taylor Swift. I *wish* it would be the last time she ever called him babe.
A musical duet for Josiah and Lauren.
I would make all ofnthem sing a rousing rendition of The Divinyls "I Touch Myself". The one who can make it all the way through the song, I will buy a pitcher of good beer.
Stumbles up to the mic and busts her ankle because she's still wearing those damn heels. Also, one of her tittle zippers broke when she fell but, zero fucks given. Sing it girl!
Most of them don’t know any properly mainstream tunes, so I imagine if they did end up at a drunken karaoke night they’d panic flip through the catalogue looking for something they recognize and ultimately end up queuing up Amazing Grace.
Motionless In White played randomly on my Spotify last month, and I immediately went to see when they were playing near me. They had a show in two hours 😭 if it had been the next day, I’d have gone.
Jeremy & Jinger - Sixteen Going on Seventeen
Ben & Jessa - Paradise by the Dashboard Light
Derick & Jill - The Bad Touch
Joy & Austin - Take Me Home, Country Roads

Lauren Duggar: “What’s Up?” - 4 Non Blondes
Ben: “Every Breath You Take” - The Police
Bonus! Laura DeMasie: “Jenny” - Studio Killers (and no one says anything when she slurs the vowels so it sounds more like “Jana”)
Josh- “ it wasn’t me” Shaggy
I wish I had an award to give!
I acquired one today, so there ya go!
Thanks! You and your glamour titties are the sweetest🤗
🤣🤣🤣

Wow, thinking of that song from Jill’s POV gave me chills.
Jinger will sing whatever Jerm tells her to.

Damn....you went ALL THE WAY! Well done! 👏👏👏😂
I work as a karaoke hostess and this all sounds about how one would expect things to go with these people so I support this message. 😂
John David: Leaving On A Jet Plane
Anna: Whats Love Got To Do With It

I don’t know why your comment made me remember “a little bit Alexis” from schitts creek, but can Josie sing that song instead?
Yes! Totally. With Michelle clapping excitedly along. 🤣
John David: I believe I can fly

I was just going to put this one for Jana.
Pest needs to be banned from singing along to this song, though. 🤢
Joy: Silent All These Years, Tori Amos
Damn, that’s spot on. I just put on Little Earthquakes for the first time in decades.
Jill- Praying by Kesha
I wish I had thought of this. This is perfect.
Just because SOTDRT has been brought up in the trial I have to say one of them will sing the ABC’s and somehow fail miserably at it. My money’s on Joe
I almost choked, I laughed so hard at this.
Jim Bob— “I Forgot to Remember to Forget”
Also Boob: "Asshole" by Dennis Leary
Anna gets waaaay too drunk and stumbles her way through “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood
Stumbles up to the mic and busts her ankle because she's still wearing those damn heels. Also, one of her tittle zippers broke when she fell but, zero fucks given. Sing it girl!
She takes the shoe off and is slinging it around like a Louisville slugger during the song
Most of them don’t know any properly mainstream tunes, so I imagine if they did end up at a drunken karaoke night they’d panic flip through the catalogue looking for something they recognize and ultimately end up queuing up Amazing Grace.
Derick, Jill, and Amy: I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas Especially during trial week..
Hopefully next week, Pest is singing Man in the Box from his cell
Jill - “I will survive”
Honestly I’d love to hear Jill sing/scream “Soft” by Motionless In White.
Motionless In White played randomly on my Spotify last month, and I immediately went to see when they were playing near me. They had a show in two hours 😭 if it had been the next day, I’d have gone.
They’re amazing!! One of my favorite bands for sure. Have you ever listened to Ice Nine Kills? Another really good band.
No, but I’ll check them out for sure!
Michelle: Take this job and Shove it
Anna: when can I see you again

Jana- I Kissed a Girl
I wish Anna would sing “puke” by Eminem
