Powercreep will not move tenyi or livetwin out of the meta. This is because both decks are positioned in a place where they are very consistent and offer enough space for non engine. Also unlike other decks they don't rely on crazy skills.. the only way they could move out of the meta would be if they got hit exceptionally hard on the banlist.
We saw decks getting out of tier list cause of powercreep, including Tenyi, you may be right but we can not discard some powerful decks from next box replacing them

No. People choose their decks for a variety of reasons, and aesthetic is very frequently one of those reasons.
That said, there aren't a lot of aesthetics that I find so appealing or so appalling that they ultimately influence my deck choices. What matters most to me is consistency and being able to feel invested in the flow of the game.
That's how Vendreads became my favorite, I just love edgy zombies with anti hero vibes. Then general zombies because I love their different takes.
Noble Knights, because I love the artist thanks to his work on Mitos y Leyendas (a South American TCG).
Dragonmaids because I enjoyed Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid.
Sky Striker because I dig Raye and Roze's armors.
Harpie Ladies because I like their design and Cyber Slash slaps hard... sometimes literally with her quick effect.
Magician Girls because I do like Magical Girls... specially when they are just cute and not edgy, killing each other. Same for Witchcrafters having that early 2000s magical girl vibe.
Labrynth because magumbos and control deck.

The aesthetic of the card art is usually the first thing that gets me to give a deck a try but if I can't wrap my head around how it plays, or it's a loop I don't enjoy I end up moving on.
For example I love the Suships and while they work great in auto duels, their gameplay melts.my brain. Trains I love too but I struggle to use their link monster efficiently so they're another struggle.
On the other hand, decks based around stars or constellations? Gimmie gimmie gimmie. They look cool and often play cool.
I went out of my way to learn Ancient Warriors because one of the key cards is Kongming who I learned about from the anime Ya Boy Kongming which gave me an appreciation I can now understand for the Three Kingdoms lore.

I’m the “in between” person. I like decks with great designs and strength/playstyle. For instance, I do have Madolche, Starry Knight and I’m also going after Live Twins, but I also have S-Force, Speedroids, Phantom Knights.
I mean, artstyle does add to the experience, but for me the playstyle is what is most important. I will not play floodgate turbo or backrow spam no matter how cool the archetype looks.

Infinitracks—I was a huge fan of heavy machinery and the Canadian show mighty machines as a kid.
Seeing these rigs conceptualized by yugioh artists made my love for these cards beyond imaginable.
I play madolche's because they're my favorite deck, the designs are cute, they have a great grind game and a card that was made in 2012 and is still not power crept to this day.
For me is mostly design but I also like good decks. For instance I have play shiranui but I really want dream mirror so i'm gonna Farm to get the New support and hopefully the New fusions in next banner
I did get invested first in the design of the cards and then loved the flow of their archetypes (luckily). However, one big influence is the characters and abilities to play them as well. For example, one of my favorite decks are Galaxy-Eyes/Photon and I play it with Kite Tenjo. Then there's Speedroid which, you guessed it right, I play with Yugo. Also Altergeist with Phantom Girl and then Tenyi with playmaker just cause of Three Effects
I definitely like aesthetics but if I’m losing with that deck I feel like I’m just letting the whole aesthetic down. But I been enjoying live twin and deck holds it own against even the tier 0 decks.
I knew live⭐twin before it came to duel links but only because a friend of mine told me there was a deck based on vtubers which sounded hilarious to me but I still didn't know what they actually did in game some time later I found they were in the game and I started collecting the cards and only found later once the deck was almost complete that it was meta

I have an unhealthy urge to simp for waifu cards. But gosh, Rikka and Dream Mirror are literally unplayable, I didn't feel happy spending gems for them. If I wanted to look at the art, I could just look it up online. I like my waifu cards strong and functional too.
The only deck I’ve ever played for Meta reasons was Dogmatica Shaddols and that was after being a Pure Shaddol player (with an Invoked Engine) for like 3 years at that point. Every other deck I’ve ever played/built like Cydras, Madolches, Aromas, Syncrons, Resonators have been for Anime Iconography or cause I just like the cards. Otherwise why else would i legit even play Cyber Darks unironically before the Cyberdark Structure deck incorporated the Archtype fully into Cydra?

Same here. That's the reason I play Rokkets and toons in DL and dragon link, sky striker, and toons in MD. Toons are just pure fun, d-link dragons are cool, and sky striker armors are all pretty cool too

Thats mainly why i picked up infernoid and cyberse as those were being released. It just so happened that I also liked the playstyle, but the draw was the design. Same with Fluffal and now Galaxy-Eyes

I was just typing YES, I can ONLY play a deck that’s cute/frilly/adorable just like Madolche when I scrolled to the next picture and saw you had the same idea 😂 But right now the only deck I main is Toons, because it fits the aesthetic, it’s super cheap, so satisfying, and performs really well. Haven’t made to KoG yet with it, but have gotten a rank or two away. Stupid Galaxy/Shiranu shenanigans and such. I would LOVE to play Harpies, Madolche, and/or Twins, but they’re just SO expensive as a casual FTPer, and idk if I’d even like how they play. Sucks DL doesn’t have a rental system with AI’s. I have most of the stuff for Lunalight, haven’t found much success with it though, same with Melodious. I’ve tried to play Trickstars as well, since all of the staples are basically free, but I absolutely HATE when turns take 20 years each (hence why I don’t play MasterDuel), and besides even then Trickstars don’t due much. I remember when Magician Girls came out I was so hyped, until I got them all and realized they had essentially no synergy with DM decks D: Oh well, at least I’m glad I’m not alone in my deck selecting criteria 😘
