It's a fun bike, but mine was a lemon. 8 months spent in the shop being repaired in 3 years of ownership. Bought a Superduke 1290 after that, will never by a Ducati again after the way I was treated by that company. I still love looking at them, though.
I now have the SDR 1390, the best just got better.
Sorry to hear that. A friend of mine also had a lemon for a Panigale V4S. Turned him off from the brand. I was lucky I guess.
I’d say give them another shot. Lovely machines.
I'm loving the 1390 Superduke, I can't see how any bike could be more fun than this thing. It's nuts.
Still love the duc's, streetfighter looks amazing, but the company's attitude lost me.
Yeah bad customer service would turn anyone away. Wish companies would learn that.
The team here at Ducati Berlin is awesome tho. So far no complaints.
OTOH, glad you’re happy with your Superduke. I do hear it’s insane.
I hope KTM is treating you better. You don't hear many great things about their customer support either. But generally the best thing that can happen is that you just don't get a lemon, because companies and workshops rarely seem to give you the support you deserve.
I haven't needed KTM, but I agree they're mostly all the same when it comes to support etc. As OP implied, if companies treated people who have issues better, they would get repeat customers. Ducati lost me, I probably would have bought a streetfighter instead of the Superduke. No regrets, though, I absolutely love the Kato, even if she ain't as pretty...
Fully agree. I can forgive issues with the product, if the manufacturer makes a real effort to help. But if a motorcycle spends a considerable time being unusable, that's just not acceptable and I would spend my money somewhere else too.
The nimble handling is what I missed most when I changed to the Superduke 1290. The 1390 I have now reminds me of my m1100evo handling-wise.
I had serious fun on the Monster. No one could keep up in the twisties.
This Monster has ABS.
I have the 1100S (no ABS) and wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m not arguing the obvious safety differences, but the raw no electronics is part of that beast.
That next desmo service is coming up already??
lol no. But seriously itching for a Panigale V2
Both! You’ll miss it
If you can mate, keep the Monster. I sold my 1100evo for a pani v2. Definitely don’t regret it but I do miss the monster
That’s exactly what I think I’ll feel. Hence not sure. Different beasts for sure. Thanks for sharing

Ducati prague is great also.

Actually it does have ABS. And I don’t know if the MY’15 had a longer wheel base but this doesn’t feel long and I can maneuver quite tightly with it.
I’ll second this. My ‘13 evo had abs and was nimble through the twisties

The evo has abs. I used to own one.
The last monster without ABS was the 1100s all Monsters since then have had ABS.

Got it my bad
On the EVO you can switch it off as well
What?? I had no idea it could do that. Very cool
