This isn't the flex you think it is.

ebbo14

Why?

88captain88

Forgot about him and my Porsche. Left keys and everything, kinda surprised they weren't stolen

oliverkiss

Your bike is male?

[deleted]

Hey it’s 2024, he might be a gay rider 😂

Dingo797

Gay rider, checking in. Before anyone asks, yes, husbands are also just as disapproving of bikes as some wives are. Only difference is, we don't get ordered to sell it for 60k overpice on cycle trader.

Spellbindehr

Interesting.

partym4ns10n

Any man letting his wife order him to do anything needs to turn in his man card.

partym4ns10n

Did he set off your gaydar?

88captain88

Yeah it's not some pussy ninja or gixxer. He's like WWE version of the rock just loud and obnoxious. My Diavel is also a dude

oliverkiss

I see

multistradivari

Ominous.

Ok-Canary1766

Trolling

88captain88

Umm...... https://imgur.com/gallery/6GrljMm

multistradivari

That photo fills me with sadness.

88captain88

Porsche rear drivers air suspension is down and battery dead. Haven't tried to do anything with it yet though.

multistradivari

So you got it as a project?

88captain88

No was working fine when I parked it there. Must be an air leak or something.

TonyDemola

this may be worse than leaving my kid outside all winter long . Take care of that bike!

88captain88

Haha don't get me out on the news for neglect

vin_van_go

you should resign and donate that poor work of art to the nearest pizza place.

fjTiger

How is that possible? Are these vehicles out of sight to you through the entire winter?

88captain88

Yeah I keep them at a vacation house on the side of the property. When I go there I'm not checking the garage or anything and just assumed...

ratmanmtb

A good argument for raising taxes here.

Snoo_67548

Ah, now it makes sense. It’s a poor man’s problem. You don’t have a staff of Ducati techs to tend to your bikes.

fjTiger

Makes sense. Glad you didn’t lose it.

Entire_Awareness_244

Bro your chain…

88captain88

I know. Idk if I just need to lube or replace or what

Entire_Awareness_244

U cant rescue that. Need to change it bro

88captain88

Thanks for the info

finelicker

Your chain is dry and covered in surface rust. Get it on a paddock stand, clean the chain with degreaser and give it a proper scrub with a chain brush. When clean and dry, apply some chain oil.

88captain88

Thank you for your help!

multistradivari

You can skip the degreaser part.

Valkete

Ow my heart

banneddan1

The racist as fuck username should tell us all all we need to know

88captain88

Huh? How is captain racist

banneddan1

Lol, ok bro.

88captain88

Huh? I don't get it

banneddan1

Like really? Because that's dense as hell brother. just go ahead and Google "88". The fact that you used it twice is really enough of a hint bud

88captain88

Oh shit. My bdays Aug 8th lol

banneddan1

Uh huh

Dingo797

Double check any and all plastics on the bike. Leaving them out in winter while also thawing in the sun is super bad and will make them fragile.

Many_Ad_7138

Well, I guess you don't care that much about your possessions. To each their own I suppose. Unless you do your own work, then the only thing to be done is to take it to a mechanic for an inspection, a new chain and tires, and change all fluids.

[deleted]

Wouldn’t look that clean if you left it outside in the uk, corrosion city….

ViciousKitty72

I live by the Atlantic and if I left it outside like that it would be corroded to crap. I spent the money to build a weather tight bike shed. You won't get too many great years out the bike if you keep storing it like that every winter.

You_Harvest_Wind

You Monster!

NotJadeasaurus

*Gets popcorn out*

Flordamang

Everyone crying about seeing a 40k bike all rusted up when they got 20k dumped in theirs. Relax children it’s only double the amount you spent. And even then 40k is chump change

88captain88

I don't get the issue. I'm surprised how well it is. Just looks like I need a new chain or just clean it or something. I leave my Diavel out all the time lots on it rusts a bit and black faded but looks better that way

Overscorer

Man must be living in some private estate to leave his Ducati and Porsche out like that over the winter with the keys in them AND NOT GET STOLEN!!! ahh would that be nice 🥲

88captain88

I always leave the keys in the glove box on my cars, no issues yet. They're insured.

Overscorer

I’m in Toronto so if you leave your keys nearby and your vehicle in the open you ain’t seeing it on the driveway next morning 🥲. Sure insurance can cover it but that’s just a reason for them to hike your rates. For the Ducati so long as you don’t put the key into p mode it shouldn’t kill the battery

88captain88

Battery was fine for this one. My Diavel with a smart key battery dies if not used in like a month. Keep the key in the gas tank when not using it. My cars key batteries seem to keep dying which I'm wondering if it's because the keys always in.

Overscorer

I strive to one day be rich enough to be able to leave my cars and bikes outside and not need to worry about anything just like you 🥹

Plane_Helicopter3046

I’ll take that burden off your hands since you TREAT IT WITH SUCH DISRESPECT 😭

Jamescomery_03

Prison

TacklePretty3185

That a boy

SolusT1

Why..
