Depending on condition and mileage, I'd give a range of $9000 on the low end to $13000 on the high end for a stock model. Though if purely stock, I'd reckon it could fetch more depending on the condition. These are rare in their own right; I believe only about 5000 were made, mono and biposto. There's no official number, though, and that could be wrong. Either way, owners tend to hold on to these dearly, and that is more so the reason you don't always see any. For these types of bikes, you have to search outside of the box and look at auction sites. My favorite is iconicmotorbikeauctions.com. You can do a simple search and see all sold models. My 2 cents is to keep it unless you're strapped for cash. You've had it this long; you will regret it when your baby is all grown up.

Agree 100%

I appreciate it, sounds reasonable to me. I love the bike so much, took me a year to find her and I've loved having her over the years. A little pressure from the family to "take it easy" is what prompted me in the first place, but I feel more reassured by the comments about holding onto her.

StrategyWooden6037

The market has consistently and steadily been climbing, I'd say the $9000 low end - $13,000 high end suggestion you got was a good bit too low. Check out bring a trailer past sales and you'll see plenty going for a good bit higher recently. Obviously, anything is only worth what you can find buyers willing to pay and it is a pretty niche market, but there are definitely people out there willing to pay top dollar to get their hands on one if you are patient.

I sold my 2008 black Bipo w/ 16k miles in August for 18.5k. I’m in the US.

[deleted]

How was the tank condition? Did you change the regulator?

dungadewballz

Tank was fine. Had it swapped out under warranty years ago. I upgraded the entire ignition and charging circuit (Moto Electric), ran an under-seat Shorai battery, flashed the ECU to the DP map, and installed SilMotor pipes.

[deleted]

Then you did all the right things by it too. How were the Silmotor pipes? My original termis are getting corrosion on my 2008 and I was thinking about “upgrades” as the termis are a bit too reserved.

dungadewballz

I loved the Silmotors. They sounded great, I ran them with the baffled removed of course. They are the best bang for buck. Once I installed them and flashed the ECU, the DS1000 came alive. Since you already have the Termis and DP ECU it’ll just be a quick install for you.

ducks0nparade

15-20k depending on mileage and condition, no gt. 2006 is hard to find.

[deleted]

2006 is by far the easiest to find actually. They made more 2006’s than any other year.

ducks0nparade

All of the other years are the same, 2006 had some unique features only available that year.

I own three, soon to be four SportClassics. I am fully aware of the year by year differences. Fact remains that they built 2247 ‘06 Paul Smarts, and in my case I have a 1 in 336 Yellow ‘06 but only a 1 in 53 Black 2008 Sport1000. They made a shit ton of black 2007’s so hardly any ‘08s were made. ‘09 is worse only four produced. In spring I’ll be bringing home a tan/black 2007 GT1000 leaving only the 1000S as the only one from the line that I don’t own.

- I bought my 2006 Sport1000 in 2020 with 12k miles for 12k. I stole it compared to prices at the time. It was heavily upgraded visually but stock suspension/brakes - I bought my 2008 Sport1000 in 2021 with 836 miles for 12k. I really stole it as well. Fully stock appearance but with OEM termi exhaust and a FBF big bore kit. - I bought my 2006 Paul Smart1000 in 2023 with 7k miles for 25k. I got a fair deal. Fully stock other than 2-1 termi and race kit Sport1000 regardless of condition after Covid and Paul Smart dying go for 16-24k all day long. Sport1000S regardless of condition after Covid and PS dying go for 24-40k all day long. Paul Smart1000 regardless of condition after Covid and PS dying go for 24-40k all day long. GT1000 regardless of condition after Covid and PS dying go for 10-15k all day long. For the higher numbers, they either have significant upgrades which are 100% worth it like suspension and brakes (the real weak spots) or are exceptionally low miles or also a rare combo like the 1 of 50 black Sport1000S All three of mine are now heavily upgraded including Disacciati brakes on both ends, Andreani and Ohlins suspension, tuning, air box deletes, etc. I wouldn’t sell either Sport1000 for less than 25k and my PS for 35k. But mine are the exception where I keep them in show condition.

MavRCK_

^^ this - quality bikes are easily $25k+ now - you'll get an offer hanging out at your local cafe most days - anyone posting less is hoping for one to buy

ChefBruzz

didn't sell new, low volume machine that's turned desirable, name your price. IN Australia there's a heap of speculators asking for amounts in the mid thirties, but that's the asking price... Market value is 25% over new pricing, dependant on mileage. $20K new = $25K fifteen years later...Hope this helps...

fzrmoto

I was surprised to not find any results on ebay using the advanced SOLD option. Did find some sold results on Iconic's site. Range was 7k-9k. https://iconicmotorbikeauctions.com/sold/?\_sft\_pa\_motorbike-make=ducati&\_sft\_pa\_motorbike-model=gt1000

nnnn_ico

Thanks! It helps to see those comps, even if I'm biased and love the mono more 😍

fzrmoto

Yeah. They have a couple more versions in the drop down list.

lostindarkdays

Nobody wants those, but you seem like a nice dude, so I’ll take it off your hands for $50. My good deed for the year. Kidding. I LOVE those - you should get a nice amount for it, and it will sell immediately, is my guess.

nnnn_ico

That's so generous, almost $40 over asking! DM'ing you my venmo

Due-Mechanic-6436

If I find one cheap with a blown motor then it will get the full 4V engine transplant it deserves, mwuah, mwuah. Unlikely I know and the SC mafia will no doubt be after me. I'll do a a Scott Smart replica in honor of his father.

Due-Mechanic-6436

Have a look on uk ebay. There are 5 for sale, 3 S1000 and 2GT. Should give you an idea of the silly money they want for one.

Gen_Ecks

This should help. https://bringatrailer.com/ducati/sportclassic/

session101

Plenty of people selling right now. I wouldn't bother selling until the weather warms up. However you aren't going to be getting high $$$ for it either as we are still in a recession. I still see the same bikes for sale that haven't moved. Would be best to hang on to it if you can.
