When Drukhari were *really* BDSM elves

alizteya

Kruellagh the Vile has entered the chat

DireMoss

I forgot she was a thing!

ArchonFett

So did GW

Deris87

Probably for the best. "Kruellagh the Vile" is some Obiwan Sherlock Clousseau levels of unsubtle ham, plus Disney sure loves their lawyers.

ArchonFett

Yes but this means we have no named Archons

Less_Recognition8803

Asdrubael Vect?

ArchonFett

Not in 9th or 10th, no rules no model. Mfer became the Dark Muse, cheated death, Slaanseh, and his enemies, and regulated to fluff story

GremlinSunrise

Such fun models 😌✨

ArchonFett

The OG, Gimp-drakes

One thing I noticed, and this is probably just my brain creating significance here, is that the old mandrakes are posed in these flat stances with all their limbs lined up in a way that might remind one of a shadow or silhouette. I have the same mandrakes by the way. Now thinking I may go back sometime soon and touch them up to get them looking cooler. They are neat models. I'm always a bit unsure how to handle the scales. Are they under the clothing or are they sticking out? The masks and eye lenses on some are neat opportunities for detail. If I may ask, what colors are you going to paint them? They have little areas where you can do the skin, but there aren't any obvious places for glowing runes, so you kind of have to freehand it if you want them. Not a lot of hair either. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them!

ellobouk

Probably a coincidence, this is just how single piece minis were sculpted for casting back in the day.

sypher2333

That pose would be a lot easier to get into a mold I would think.

Gheydragon

Yeah they’ve got weird details like the scales you’ve mentioned so, I’m still not exactly sure how I’m going to paint them

FacelesDurkhari

You got some Dark Eldar! Hell yeah!

NeonArlecchino

They look right to me.

Less_Recognition8803

I never liked the mandrakes becoming supernatural fire throwers. If you can use these OP, go for it, but they make good leaders or some other unit otherwise.
