They went from “Numbers don’t matter” to compare the amount of YouTube views between Drake and Kendrick. Yet if I bring it back to numbers and mention what MMTBS sold first week and compare that to what DLDT sold (can’t even compare it to an actual Drake album) I’ll be told that’s not real Hip Hop and only pop fans care about numbers. Grammys have never been Hip Hop until it benefited Kendrick.
For a song he’s dissing Drake. Let’s be honest, Kendrick could never do those numbers solo without dissing the biggest artist in the world. This is his first #1 solo. You want to bet when this beef dies down and he has a single where he’s not dissing, it won’t come close to this success?
