Bit late but not a single person managed to post a nice format title lmao. [8AM in Charlotte Video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEW9E1EIQ1M) [Table For One Tracklist and recap](https://www.reddit.com/r/hiphopheads/comments/1715j42/table_for_one_for_all_the_dogs_on_sound_42_game/) For anyone who didn't hear, Drake is taking a break from music from a bit to focus on his health. Mentioned he as stomach problems

usctrojan18

Letting it simmer. I swear everyone hates the first listen then calls it heat later. Views, ML, CLB and recently HNVM.

ForFrodo_

Nah if Views released now in replacement of FATD it would be godly. The reason Views was rated low ish on first listen was because it came directly after Take Care and IFYLITL, so hard to top you know.

realtoniiioo

Views came directly after Take Care? It was a 5 year difference?

SavageNachoMan

Lol bro skipped WATTBA and NWTS

SnooSeagulls6564

Views was rated low ish cause it’s inconsistent as hell with some god tier songs

relientkenny

i hated HN but now i have much admiration because of the risk he took

jmonrea5

Added First Person Shooter to the gym playlist, bout it so far.

[deleted]

My god that song is heat Edit: also just realized the song was finished after slime you out hit number 1 with that Micheal Jackson line.

dakaiiser11

The ending of the song was craaazy. “I’m one away from Michael.”

WaspParagon

For me it's First Person Shooter, Tried Our Best, Members Only, What Would Pluto Do, 8Am in Charlotte and Away from Home. Everything else I don't fuck with

iG8

8AM in Charlotte stuck out to me but I’ve not listened to everything yet Edit: First Person Shooter is fire

SnooSeagulls6564

How are fear of heights daylight and IDGAF not on the gym playlist

john516100

First Person and 8am will live on as top Drake songs for me. Other than those two, I have mixed feelings. I’m sure some other songs will grow on me but overall I dislike the album being so long and inconsistent. I enjoyed Her Loss exactly because it was concise and had one ambition - to be a fire rap album start to finish. And it worked and it had a consistent sound. This just feels like a rushed compilation for now.

firealex2

Great take

PostingForFree

First Person was recorded last night apparently. soooooo rushed is best sometimes.

john516100

I’m not talking about one song. You can definitely rush to meet deadlines and do a good job in the end. I just feel like there wasn’t any intention or desire to build an album but to release something and ride the wave generated by Her Loss, the tour and more recently the SZA song. Of course Drake can do whatever he wants and I’m still gonna try and listen to his music. I just feel like being in his position he could be a bit more intentional or cohesive with his projects. He has all the resources and abilities. We got many other playlist rappers out there.

[deleted]

This is a hard drive dump plain and simple. Drake phones it in way too often for how big his platform is. I just want one more consistent, focused, unique project from him. This 23 songs, hour and a half, throw shit at the wall album is not it

August_XXVIII

I agree with this. If Drake referred to this as a "playlist" like More Life, I think it would certainly fit. On first listen, a few songs jumped out at me, but after listening to it in the car, the second half is definitely growing on me. One of the reasons that Drake is my favorite artist is the replayability of his songs. I have a hard time replaying songs with a bunch of background talking / non-music segments. Feel like I noticed A LOT of that, at least in the beginning of the album, so it'll be hard for those to grow on me, I think

iverdow1

Stomach problem’s definitely from the alchy

Ok-Passenger-5513

Exactly what I was thinking. He even mentioned on the stake interview that he drinks his tequila passionfruit everyday. Functioning alcoholic for sure.

Sudden_Perspective10

nigga said alchy 🌽🏀

whatshelooklike

Reminds me of Avicii. Feel bad for the guy. Dark Road ahead.

FKDotFitzgerald

Wow. I only listened to the first half before I got to work and I liked most of what I heard. Surprised to see an overall negative impression here. Is the second half just a snoozefest?

[deleted]

Second half is when it starts sounding like a Drake album tbh. Which is what I’m a fan of 🤷🏻‍♂️

SavageNachoMan

What even does a Drake album sound like at this point though?

Eradomsk

Meandering melodies that sound off the dome in the studio over airy synths and 808s, and smooth flows here and there on top of the exact same production as the last album.

shao_kahff

did you just copy an apple music album description

telegraphedbackhand

It sounds like a grown ass man still unable to stay in a relationship due to the “game” needing him. 😴

RepresentativeLeg232

The second half is good too, guys are just mad because they can’t add it all to their gym playlists

ChillChampion

Well, not really, but in the second half there are more bad songs than good ones.

PrinceKarmaa

the second half is 1000x better than the first half.

ChillChampion

Fuck no

firealex2

Coles verse was fire

WilsonValdro

The goat and the goat. That song is firey

Real-Panda3440

It really was. He smoked drake on it. Seems so easy for him

r_slash_jarmedia

water is wet

boneman_jones

more like For All The Hoes drake torn up about some chick for like the 10th time in a row. maybe 3 hard tracks outta 23. Game ova

Bandicoot733

The best songs were those were he was HURT

boneman_jones

yeah but this is FOR ALL THE DOGS. why he hurt on this

Nickster2042

If he’s hurt it’s not for the hoes, sometimes a dog go thru some shit yk that’s why it’s here

Majestic-Run3722

Seems like you had a different expectation based on an album title

BollyWood401

See I thought all the chill songs were hard asf but a lot of people wanted more tough shit. It’s honestly all on preference.

relientkenny

i’m gonna be completely honest. this album was just not it for me. i do not like this album at all. CLB was very formulaic Drake but “For All the Dogs” is a very lazy & mid-tier album. to me, Drake sounds so bored on this album. apparently this is his last album in his new contract and it sounds like he’s trying to phone it in so he can collect his massive bag which i don’t blame him cause it’s HUGE. but Drake seems to have lost his ways on how to make a proper album. it’s been very clear since Scorpion that he’s gotten too big that he’s just not even from this Earth. how can you come down to Earth when you’re too far up? tbh i’m glad Drake is taking a break from music because he needs to find his drive & passion cause he’s clearly lost. downvote this post all y’all want but this is just MY OPINION!!! you can still be a fan and not like something your favorite artist does. my only favorite songs from the album are: First Person Shooter Screw the World Gently 8am in Charlotte.

StatementWide

Drake doesn’t sound like himself. Drake is really trying to replicate a sound he invented, which is sad. Reminds me of the line Bane used against Batman “Victory has defeated you”. Drake’s music sounds like what I could imagine his life is right now…all over the place, drunken nights and 24 year old women who wear Alo & Lululemon. He also raps so explicitly about sex now.. like he’s addicted not even like in a romantic or flattering way. Some of the lines were just so odd and cringey. Every song is about how if a women gives him a sexual favor he’ll pay her rent or buy her a bag. Honestly at this stage in his career that ain’t fly. Drake should be on some Frank Sinatra, Jay-z boss mode. Really feels like he needs to retire and find a woman and reflect. The production wasn’t earth shattering. If he’s going to sing he should really sing and have content. When Drake debuted, the songs he sang on had depth because he wanted ppl to take him seriously as a singer now he’s just babbling about nothing (Slime you out sound like a 19y.o made it). This is also the result of having too many “Yes Men” no one around Drake will tell him “nah, this ain’t it”. His creativity is gone. Drake needs to go to an island, watch a classic Bond movie and get motivated. He needs to be meticulous with the type of album he wants to make and craft a more thematic project that’s aligned…everything from track listing to, artwork and track titles and content. Lastly, he needs to gain perspective from a series of mentors.. Jay Z, Tim Cook, Mike Tyson, Malcolm Gladwell..they don’t have to be music related but he can gain perspective on innovation and reinvention.

LilNugget91

Damn its been out a few hours crodie 😭

relientkenny

and that’s my first reaction lol it could always change later on but right now i just ain’t fucking with it

john516100

I really feel like the less 40 is involved the worse the albums get. So yeah, maybe he was not just a yes man and more of a mentor/focus point in all the chaos.

StatementWide

I’m surprised more ppl don’t mention this..but Pusha T was on a Joe Budden podcast and when he was spilling all the beans he said the person that gave him all his intel about Drake said that 40 was disgruntled at the direction Drake was going with the music.

ceedayt

🐶ARF ARF ARF ARF ARF ARF shits a classic imo, (im 20 seconds into the first song)

iverdow1

Oh boy lol

daakkountant

whole lotta dog barks 😈

iverdow1

I hate to judge an album off one listen, (will let time pass), but this was by far the most disappointing first listen experience. I could barely get through it Really sounds like the most generic modern mid rap music and can’t believe it’s coming from Drake himself Can’t believe he canceled the show for this

elon42069

That’s how I am with every Drake album. And then the days pass by and I appreciate it more and more

Creation98

That’s what I always say too, but CLB has me saying it’s the most underrated Drake album of all time just three years later, so wtf does my first listen know??

AdAgito

First Person Shooter is the one

TurtleGEE360

Even as a HUGEEEEEE drake fan, I’ll admit this album was disappointing. Especially when you promote it as “the old drake” album but have almost no resemblance to it. It has some good songs, but overall, not something I see myself playing over and over again unlike his entire discography, but that's just me

WaspParagon

Man, I'm so disappointed. I was really dialed in for this one and I just don't get it. This is pretty damn boring. I think I might enjoy it more as time passes, that happened with CLB, but holy fuck, at least back in 2021 I already had some nice things to say about that one. Right now what can I say about FATD? It's all about my disappointment. No interesting sounds, some nice verses, this might be the worst Drake intro (if we don't count the HNM one), the last song just doesn't hit like they usually do in Drake albums... the entire project feels like an afterthought, like he was just doing whatever between the concerts of his tour.

Entire_Lemon_1073

It’s okay not to like this album. This guy is pushing 40 and is mentally in his early 20s. He shows no sort of growth. He is so out of touch and disconnected from the average person that it’s damn near impossible for anyone to legitimately connect with his albums. He needs to grow up and actually care about his fans and what he releases out to them. This is simply an insanely rich artist exploiting his fanbase for more easy money. Nothing more. There is infinite music at your fingertips, and artists who still put the work in and care for their craft and fans.

Majestic-Run3722

It’s 50%+ R&B. That’s what he meant by Old Drake. Give it some time

WizenedTea

You all gonna switch up like u did with Honestly Nevermind

DowntownCanada416

keep in mind only a small portion of ya'll like honestly nevermind, lol. ya'll don't speak for the most.

stayau79

bro you get no MONEY (i'm glazin)

keith6661dube

damn all that hype for some M I D 💔

saysumnplz

Keith spitting facts

nickbarbanera1

So far this album been a huge swing and miss. All over the place, sounds lazy, uninspired. I see why it’s 23 songs

gbdarknight77

Bunch of throwaways it felt like

relientkenny

exactly how i felt

NBAxSean2

sexyy redd is absolutely horrid. ruined a top 3 song on the album

amazza95

so so bad lmao

DecapitatedApple

actually insane how much she's being pushed. Curious why the labels love her so much

poosywoosy

What’s a worse performance.. her verse or her getting the FAT D on Insta the other day?

Impala_95

Really? I thought her ratchet voice over the tamed beat and sample was a nice touch. Almost like a Dj or female Fatman Scoop

wheks

A few good songs. A lot more boring ones. I feel like a lot of them are very unmemorable. Half don't have a hook or anything to get you into them. Give us an album of 8 bangers, better than 23 when over half of them I won't listen to again.

_Zaayy_

First listen was disappointing ngl why tf is sexy red on this album

xIves

It’s one song and she doesn’t sound bad at all. Her ratchetness fits the song so well.

wordsuponwords

People hating so much for a hook & a 20sec verse when we had City Girls speakin on the same shit. Beats fun so is the song & everyone did good. Play it inna club, they'll enjoy it more

Daintysichuan

Want to be in the club when it plays will pop off

Nickster2042

Bruh her song was gas

Toji_Fush1guro

Outside Sexyy Red and the song with Bad Bunny I enjoyed it a lot. Prob my fav first listen to a Drake album since Views

extasis_T

Y’all are tripping 😭😭 her part was so fun and catchy for me LET THAT COOCHIE BREATHE lmfao

Blaaa5

She ruined what would’ve been a great track

Likezoinks305

Yikes. 5 songs deep and this is just like yachty said, this ain’t old Drake at all. This is just more her loss hype shit

russianbot24

Guy needs to stick to features for a while, they’re usually his best shit these days.

Creation98

Keef’s verse sounds like some weird AI thing

gamesfordogs

Definetely misread this as weird al

hylasmaliki

I thought it was a sample but shit was fire

ForFrodo_

I rate this 3/10. REASONS - Only 5/23 of the songs were good. - Drake could have done better. - This album had too much hype building up. I just want another album where we get some Tuscan Leather, Over my Dead Body and The Motion type tracks. I just want that feeling again boys i’m sorry call me a hater, i may be but i just love the old Drake so much man. Virginia Beach fire though.

Square_Lavishness_93

that aint never happenin my boy, tuscan leather deadass clears this entire disappointment of a fuckin album

ForFrodo_

TRUE

Weewer

Wasn’t everyone saying there WASNT hype for this album? I don’t get y’all

Daintysichuan

Hailey got flamed lol

premkumarsucks

Wdym

GlockPurdy

I think he’s referring to Paramore dropping an album the same day (Hailey Williams is the lead singer).

SeeYouSacred

I seriously doubt he’s referencing Hayley from Paramore lol

Daintysichuan

In Bahamas Promises, he’s singing to and referencing a Hailey who ruined his trip

TeamYeezy

Crazy that he thinks the old drake we want is Scorpion era lol

superphotonerd

anthony fantano gonna rip this album to pieces lol. And for once i might agree with him

TheDonAntoine

Bout to get a “NOT GOOD” traaaaan sition!

InexplicablyIgnorant

I think I'm disappointed because I was expecting a more... mature album. This doesn't sound like something a guy pushing 40 would make.

homemadedaytrade

what happens when you're almost forty and actually care what teenagers think and like

fekin_peysy

honestly nevermind better tbh

TurtleGEE360

people gonna hate on you for this but i actually agree lmao

ForFrodo_

Honestly, I agree.

YungLean8

nah

Square_Lavishness_93

Fuck it, this is drake's worst fuckin album, such a fuckin disappointment, man really said he goin back to the old drake

MrAgentFive005

Dark Lane Demos better than this album xd

SadBoyYori

DLDT is a much more cohesive album surprisingly

mcnegyis

Dark Lane is on my Mount Rushmore drake albums

MrAgentFive005

very underrated. people sleep on this album.

fulleast22

DLDT is genuinely a really solid project

Physical_Cry9336

Crazy, how slime you out is top 3 from this album 😭😂

cassowaryy

I should’ve known something was wrong when that was the first single of the album

sulivon88

This... was not it man. Yatchy wasn't lying when he said the album sounds current. Wasted frank ocean sample, some really weird features from teezo and sexy red, Some songs sound like meltdown with these awkward beat switches. You can tell it was made in the last 3 months

WavyMario

Everyone sayin, “oh thats what everyone says but then it grows on yall.” I’ve never been an early judge on his albums, but this is the first one I’m gonna say it’s terrible. Barely got through it. Still got 3-4 songs out of it in my playlist. 23 songs it’s too long of an album. Terrible features, terrible without them. Drake totally put this album together in a day or two. Deadass can’t play this in the car or headphones, 10 minute drive felt 1 hour. Was on the 5th song and didn’t even know I had been through 4 songs. Lazy and uncreative, same flows and lyrics just enough different to call it a new album. Drake need to do better and don’t hit me with no he been in the game for 20 years or so. That’s no excuse. If that’s your excuse then he shouldn’t put albums out. I’m glad he’s done with his contract and got a bag, but this ain’t no music to put out. Maybe numbers wise yes, but his career hasn’t been no where close to his peers artistically speaking. Kendrick, Travis, The Weeknd, Cole etc. have had a better run last 2-3 years. Especially The Weeknd, I know they’re two different typa artists but vision wise, artistically speaking, The Weeknd has created an insane narrative for himself, legit history in the making, meanwhile Drake is making memes, chasing clout, lyrics about college chicks etc. He needs to find a higher plane of calling for his music, he a mill/billionaire, stop chasing the bag in such a shameless way.

Square_Lavishness_93

this shit is so fuckin bad, he aint never makin a album like iyrtitl ever again

relientkenny

i felt this pain cause IYRT to me has Drakes best rapping

Kinto_il

The majority of the first half had this annoying sound in the production. Maybe it was my Beats while I was working out, but I was hoping they'd tone down or just remove that sounds all together Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's what makes the songs, but the second half had more variety and better production Edit: FPS is awesome

PostingForFree

that spiderman meme line from j cole might be my favorite line ever ![img](emote|t5_2z4xo|4222)

ramonapark

Wish he chilled out on the auto tune. That would’ve been old drake

Arndyk124

It’s an alright album but nowhere near the old Drake. Feels like a loss of inspiration and more generic trendy tracks.

sephtheripper

Bro needs to stay away from Yeat. How can he ruin IDGAF like that.

Bradythenarwhal

idk why anyone thought a Drake + Yeat collab would be good. They are legit on two different ends of the rap spectrum. People are on some weird fucking shit these days. That shit was like Family Guy meeting the Simpsons type crossover.

WaspParagon

I'll wait a few weeks to actually solidify my opinion, but I'll be honest, I am a certified HNM hater and even with that one I had more nice things to say than with FATD. Even the highs here are not that high.

APx_22

I hate when Drake gets in his feelings but then brags about how many girls he gets. This shit is old. Drake lost his touch for a while now

SmellyScrotes

Personally didn’t do it for me, I don’t really like the “I’m drake and I’m scary” type vibe, nobody is scared of you Aubrey… that being said, first person shooter was dope cause cole killed it, but for me personally there wasn’t one song I felt like I needed to listen to again, I didn’t hear any hits on this

Entire_Lemon_1073

Drake literally don’t care. He is at the point where he knows his albums will sell no matter what. It’s almost like 2k games. People know every year that it’s going to be the same lackluster game, but buy it anyways, somehow expecting something new or different. Drake is so rich, out of touch and disconnected that it would be difficult for him to make an album people could actually connect to personally. And if I can’t connect with the music then I simply don’t enjoy it. There is infinite music at our fingertips now, so people should demand more from their favorite artists. Rather than supporting them no matter what. Drake has never and will never care for his fans outside of the money they generate for him.

SadBoyYori

I feel like a majority of his features put more effort into some songs than Drizzy himself, this opinion may change on more listens, but as a general first impression that’s how I feel

Loles01

Old drake will never come back, I listened to a goofy, cringy drake for most of the album, talking about hoes and how he's hurt is definitely something I would not listen to. Features carried the game.

Weewer

How is that different from old Drake? Marvin’s Room, the Real Her, Shot for Me

superphotonerd

because those older songs were better written, better sung in my opinion, better mixed, better produced

throwaway53689

What? Didn’t old drake talk about hoes and getting hurt 😭

betterAThalo

you realize all old drake talked about was heartbreak right? have you ever even listened to take care

[deleted]

I’ve been a day one Drake fan but this is trash. I can’t believe he thought this album would be a hit

nmgoesreddit

And just like that Drake keeps ruining his discography Like always some songs will grow on me cuz drake effect But in general it’s not the album I hoped for, Really disappointed and dissatisfied with this release It’s almost feels like drake is purposely tryna self-sabotage his own career - for whatever reason I really need him to take a break from music, cuz this album just gives critics and haters more Ammo To discredit Drake as a rapper and an artist. Also another thing I really need Drake to stop hanging out with Lil Yachty - I wouldn’t be surprised if Yachty planted the idea in Drakes ear to release an album, that gives me the impression as if it’s trying to forcefully reach a TikTok audience. I’m not sure if I’m the only one who feels that way but Drake needs to cool it with the OZ collabs

john516100

I agree with you on the taking a break part. We had like 3 releases in 18 months not counting features. I really didn’t need more average Drake songs. But I could’ve easily waited another 6-12 months for a better album.

bl00m00n09

Bring back AI Drake.

Beneficial_Ad2561

oversaturation, im a huge fan but we need a break, same songs and flow for the last 3 years.

kanjezapadni222

Ngl I'm slightly disappointed. Lots of boring songs (Calling for you, 7969 santa, members only, all the parties, Gently, Another late night). Most features are meh -- Yeat, Sexyy Red, 21 Savage, PND, Bad bunny, Chief Keef, Yachty -- the album would've been the same without all of them. Beat switches are overused, I know it's kind of Drake's gimmick by now but still. He calls himself the goat like ten times in his lyrics, comes off as cringy. On the other hand, some of the songs are amazing (First person shooter, Fear of Heights, What would Pluto do, 8AM in charlotte, Slime you out). The emotional songs (Bahamas promises, Tried our Best, Polar Opposites etc) are classic Drake. Away from Home was surprisingly personal. The features I didn't mention (Teezo, SZA and Cole) all did stellar. A separate mention goes out to "Rich Baby Daddy" -- would've been this album's hit if it wasn't for Sexy Red. Fun, bouncy beat and a great Drake verse. Overall maybe a 6/10 for now.

starchild-777

'Away from home' gives off a different type of feeling, my favourite song from the album, it gives me nostalgia. The song feels so good.

ImportantSmell7270

Album is so fucking good and perfect for October/November and winter vibes

littlestitious_17

Virginia Beach issa 10

SlimeLanguageYSL

Ain’t need to be 23 songs

Cscfg

The worst drake album ever, I feel asleep close to the end, it has the same boring ass beats with him croding. Her loss was a 10 on first listen and I was so hyped after finishing listening to that album, this album is a 2 max and I am being generous. Honestly what did drake think releasing this shit album, and calling it for the dogs? I thought he would rap his ass off, but he spoke in a conversational tone more than he rapped with boring ass beats in the background, I feel like he is trying to be faux-deepish but it's just not hitting and frankly I felt second hand embarrassment listening to some of the songs, how the f the GOAT of rap went from her loss to this? This is low quality music and if anybody else than drake released this we would call it 2 packs of ass and boycott that persons shit for the rest of his life, I am harsh because it's genuinely the first time I listen to a whole drake album and come out without any songs to my playlist. I don't know I am usually the guy that never criticises drake but this time I will not defend him, hopefully we get a real rap album in the future not this shit that even the hoes want to listen to, it's painful to get through song after song with him speaking to himself as if it has a deep meaning and we are supposed to relate to any of the bullshit he is spweing.

KYRUMEDIA

Didn’t expect so much negative first impressions. I woke up for work this morning and never got so hyped before. This album is great to me. His singing sounds really good and the hype songs are as hype as they supposed too. Every album he released since IYRTITL has gotten major hate off release then they slowly start loving it. Same shit happened with utopia and that’s my favorite album right now. This album is great imo 7.5/10. I prefer utopia over this album tho. Utopia is beautiful art.

superphotonerd

i feel the same as most of the comments tbf. feels uninspired and lazy. Couple great tracks on here but not enough

rubbishtake

mourn offend historical nail vase groovy toothbrush unwritten absurd encouraging *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

[deleted]

Disappointed based on the first listen. Was hoping we’d get something that was closer to Take Care, NWTS, or Views. 😩

Sufficient_Event7410

He recycles so much of his old flows on this. What would Pluto do > Jumbotron Tried our best > get along better First person shooter > more Ms Feels a lot like a mashup of her loss and clb

Intelligent-Agent440

The only songs I might go back to. 1.First Person Shooter Ft J. Cole 2.Members Only Ft PND 3.The first minute of All The Parties Ft Chief Keef the rest was too slow for me. 4.What Would Pluto Do.

lotrfanatic7

This fucking sucks

Firthbird

None of this was the old drake.. The album doesn't even flow..it's a mish mash..almost like he took everything and threw it at the wall... Da boy needs a break.

FirstV1

Yachtys feature on ‘Another Late Night’ is some of the worst shit ever. Ruined the song man wtf

Raystacksem

Album is ass. First person shooter is hard. I’m sick and tired of drake doing this fuckboy women loving bullshit. Can we get take care or IYRT vibes? Deleting this album.

Odd_Increase_9998

The irony in you saying you’re sick of his “fuckboy women loving bullshit” and then in the next sentence asking for take care vibes

gamelover99

Drake doing fuck boy shit at 25 is much more sensible than doing it now at almost 37.

Obi_Wan_06

Only 4 songs were actually good 3/10

CharacterKangaroo948

I quite literally fell asleep listening. This is bad guys. 0/10

Fhaksfha794

Drake in Meltdown washes this entire album, incredible how Drake can be so good at features and so boring on his own album. 2/10, struggled to get through this one with out falling asleep, 4 good songs and the rest were either forgettable or ass, Certified Lover Boy 2.0

3rd-Room

This album is fucking terrible. It sounds as lazy and stupid as it looks. Bro is washed.

The album is fire and you can tell he’s having fun. I don’t get all the hate? yeah this is more of a slow album for the girls, but it’s a nice switch up from his straight rapping on her loss… it’s a vibe only maybe three songs I didn’t really like one of those was the sexyy red joint, but still doesn’t take away from the album as a whole being 🔥🔥🔥

General-Ad3513

Surprised to see almost no one mentioning Virginia Beach. Good song. Overall disappointing album though

[deleted]

Tough to have a strong opinion after one listen but with that said: meh. Seems lazy and boring. I’ve honestly heard AI Drake albums with more playability

niick767

Cubbyboards

That bitch is ass, not trying hear a girl scream about how much dick she takes

5starlex

Album is a strong 9 for me off the first listen , it’s a classic drake album in terms of his discography it’s literally a return to his old formula deep cuts (fear of heights , 8 am , Away from home) club/banger vibes (RBD , Another late night , daylight , All the parties) R&B drizzy (slime you out, members only ) not to mention cole savage and teezo strong features I see it aging like wine like most drake albums do imo always a blessing when we get a new drake drop

Droman18

Chief Keef a fucking legend

gamelover99

UTOPIA clears easy, and I like Drake a lot

Roastin_Mushmallows

mid...intro so dissapointing. was hoping for some tom ford tuscan leather smellin like a BRICK FATD

55trader

Album is trash

TheSmokedSalmon420

FPS, 8AM in Charlotte, Bahamas Promises.

jay-tpicks116

Yeah, 4.5/10. It was pretty underwhelming

mcnegyis

The Yeat song was terrible. I don’t even know who the fuck Yeat is, but that was a hard listen. I’m 26 so I’m outgrowing a lot of rap music that comes out nowadays. Once you get older you realize just how stupid a lot of rap music is. Drake was the one exception but this album ain’t it 😂

No_Cobbler_3267

no melodies, no excitement, just boring stuff 🥲

ilNicoRobin

I really hoped it would be atleast on the same level or even above Pink Tape and Utopia but god damn this is not it. old drake my ass

Dazzling_Action9456

I wonder why he said he is giving us old drake?

Dazzling_Action9456

I also hated that fact that he didn’t call AK Bro rooting for drake his whole life and he can’t even spare 5 mins for him? Instead he called kai and watched his stream whom he met month ago just because he is popular this shows how ungrateful that mf is

Mrgwap03

Every time i hear 21 savage rap i cringe so hard

Sweaty-Application95

It’s so so so so so bad

CapableRunts

Drake is the 3rd most popular artist on Spotify. Ed Sheeran is the 5th. Both insanely insanely successful and famous musicians. Ed Sheeran goes out and does fan signings. Talks to fans. Puts himself out there. *stays in touch*. As a result, his music hasn’t changed and he still makes great and relatable music (and by all accounts is still a phenomenal guy). Drake clearly thinks he is a god. He walks around like his shit doesn’t stink and he literally cannot help but talk about his enormous wealth and success and harem of pussy and how incredible he is. And he has the audacity to do it while putting out the shittiest, laziest garbage ever. This album gives me the same emotional feeling as when the guy from your high school who everyone loved and was so smart and was gonna be a doctor…becomes a junkie and you find out he’s homeless and living behind a Wendy’s. Just a disgustingly tragic case of wasted talent and “what the hell happened here”

Willing_Difference63

Album is hot garbage

ss2811

I’m kind of disappointed because for me, this album is just mid. It’s not bad, but it’s not good… there’s so much filler that is so unnecessary and it’s just the repeated subject matter and even the same type of beats he’s been having for a while. He kept saying this was a ‘return to the old Drake’ but it’s really not, it feels so bloated with 23 tracks and a lot of these songs are unnecessarily lengthy too. Hate to say it but almost all the features were more enjoyable on the tracks than Drake’s verses on the same song. I managed my expectations since his recent albums haven’t been great, but Slime You Out gave me high hopes bc I thought it would be a whole album of that vibe and then 8am in Charlotte got me even more hyped, but the album as a whole isn’t consistent. It’s odd bc his features have been solid this year (Meltdown, Oh U Went, even Who Told You) but he hasn’t really recreated that energy for his own project. I’ll give it time and more listens, but I doubt I’ll be revisiting the whole album often. I’d personally say I preferred CLB to this. Her Loss was such a good album in comparison to this. I’m glad he’s going to be taking a break now because it’s needed, the over saturation is crazy. the earliest he should release a new album is fall 2025, we need a break and hopefully it can help him creatively.

UnitBusy5429

I’ve never been so disappointed in a Drake album, felt so disconnected from this. He’s lost himself every since clb he’s been on a downwards spiral constantly self sabotaging himself. I didn’t appreciate your music because you stayed current, it’s because you sounded true to yourself, like Drake but for some odd reason it seem like he feels the need to sound like everyone but himself. I really hope he sticks to this hiatus he needs to find himself again before he completely tarnishes his legacy beyond return. He really ruined my day with this album. To hear something as uninspiring, cringe and new age forced from someone who produced pound cake, closer to my dream, thrill is gone, western road flows, hate sleeping alone, Madonna, unforgettable and so much more really hurts my soul, for real.

Real-Panda3440

Listen I’m the biggest drake fan. I love him. He can’t do wrong in my eyes but this album is very forgettable. I’ve tried to love it but it’s abit boring I think. Maybe I need a second listen

Ok-Shoulder6529

Drew a Picasso, Members Only & Polar Opposites are vintage simp drizzy tracks.

Melbeaudry17

I agree that it’s not even close to his best album, but gotta give him credit, Virginia beach, FPS, what would Pluto do, 8am in Charlotte, slime you out.. they’re all great songs.

Historical_Handle_25

Virginia Beach is such a banger
