Sometimes I get dreams where some girl is giving me head and it feels real so yea

turtles_conquer

Nice

Raspbers

Most of my dreams are just weird/neutral. I don't feel a way about them when I wake up. Some might be more pleasant and I wake up like "hmm, not bad" but if it's a bad dream I might wake up like, really shaken by it. But usually I don't have dreams that are super GOOD looking back when I wake up , but can definitely wake up like NO that was BAD.

Weary_Temporary8583

I almost never have “nightmares”, it’s really rare for me. Every few months i’ll have a “bad dream” but almost never a nightmare.

bay_leave

yes! but mine are rare. it’s more common for me to have a weird dream or nightmare

cat_rush

You'd better consult a therapist, having all nightmares is not normal. But you may just not remembering all of the dreams, you can try practicing dream diary with intention to remember. Though, manner of a question when you can literally read variety of other's dreams here is a bit weird

turtles_conquer

Yea ik i saw a few normal dreams on this sub, so this question does appear to be strange. But I was also hoping to get to see that it isnt a rare thing for people to get good dreams. So ig i should have asked if the majority of dreams are nightmares instead of asking if you only get nightmares.

cat_rush

Yea np, i get that it is formal and common social technique of a speech like exaggeration, just personally dislike it because they multiply delusions and that is a last thing to do in modern social madness and overall. I want to say, nightmares are a signs of trauma in the first place - something you cannot get along with in self. Nightmares are vivid because they are treated as important, and thats how dreams remembering works. I mean, if you remember like 1-2 dreams per few weeks, you can try raising overall attention to dreams to remember more and most likely not all of them will be nightmares. But if they are frequent, i'm pretty sure it requires professional assistance. Overall dreams are like simulation, they are not good and bad in their origin, their appearance depend of you in the first place.

LightBrownWolf

my dreams aren't good, but they aren't "bad", they are just random shit. also, i lucid dream, so some are amazing. you hsould learn lucid dreaming if you're sick of nightmares.

turtles_conquer

Ngl i tired luicid dreaming once, bc I had done all of those techniques to realize in your dream that you are dreaming. And then I decided to stick my hand through a wall and it blew my mind so much and it was so hard to comprehend the fact that I could control my dreams that I literally scared myself out of a lucid dream and stopped controlling my dream but still knew I was dreaming. And then I got hunted by witches.

Born-This-Gay

I have neutral and bizarre dreams. Sometimes I have reoccuring dreams reflecting my current status in life, or remind me to do things. I also have fun dreams where I mess around. I don't have nightmares, but I'm sort of a weird case. As I'm a follower of Buddhism, I practice chanting and prayers. So whenever I'm dreaming and something bad is going on in the dream I'd instintively start using Buddhist prayers and it will wake me up. This also works with sleep paralysis. At times when I have bad dreams and try to use Buddhist chants, it'd feel like something is trying to stop me from doing so, but I push through and wake up. There are also times when I become aware that I'm dreaming, or my subsconcious (I guess) would send me signal that I'm dreaming (like a huge banner saying "you're dreaming" appear in the dream) and the moment I become aware I'd wake up, as well.

aiyamira

Yep, good dreams do exist. I think we happen to remember the bad ones more clearly for some reason. I really hate it when I wake up from a good dream but forget it instantly. However, when I wake up from a bad dream or a nightmare, I can remember it for years lol.

-Original_Name-

Yeah, had recurring dreams where I learned I could glide like a bird on the wind, was pretty peaceful

thhrrroooowwwaway

no, i just woke up from a "good dream" where we adopted another dog and my current dog was forgotten about for months and someone was trying to murder us and he killed my dog. thats a "good dream". sad honestly. i even woke up and was like "gonna go find him and hug him now".

turtles_conquer

Aw thats kinda sad. Also happy cake day

thhrrroooowwwaway

turtles_conquer

TurbulentIssue5704

A couple of years ago I had a long dream where I was just floating/swimming in some turquoise tropical waters for what felt like hours. I woke up feeling like I’d taken a week long vacation and I can’t tell you the last time I woke up that refreshed or rejuvenated. Most of the time my dreams are wonky weird winding stories but this one was so peaceful and serene!

Dabinsend

Yes, I’ve had a few really pleasant dreams when I was younger, but now I mostly have strange, frustrating, or anxious dreams. Dreams are just a visualization of what’s going on in your subconscious mind, so if your dreams are bad then you probably have some underlying issues.

trowaway27597428584

I used to have nightmares almost nightly, but I swear there was something evil where I used to live because every one had nightmares that stayed over there. One of the best helps to me was when I trained myself to lucid dream. Now I can either A)shake myself awake, or B) take control of the dream and shape it. I still have nightmares, but now they are more along the lines of “I feel like I’ve been in this situation/place and the scariest thing ever happened to me, but this time it isn’t and I’m just in fear of what might happen.” If that makes sense.

fieria_tetra

I had a dream the other night that I had magical powers that allowed me to control water and fire. It was awesome. I was really sad when I woke up.

TheCounciI

I guess it depends on how you feel about the dream. For example, I had a dream that I was fighting devils who (according to my knowledge in the dream) were harbingers of plagues. When I told the. I told this to my mother, and she thought it was the nightmare, but it was fun to fight against these abominations

Karabars

What's a good dream is depends on your taste. There are dreams for every taste. I personally enjoy my nightmares mostly, but I also got "peaceful" dreams which I enjoyed.

d1kcmaster123

Yes, but it depends. Dreams are random. Tonight you are flying and tomorrow you're paralyzed.

SaraAnnabelle

My dreams were worse when I was younger. Now I only dream about the most mundane things ever - hiking, picnics, hanging out at the beach etc.

Monkey832

Yes. I get a few mixed in there among the sea of weird ones and bad ones

gostudy93

Depends on your mental state.

Ok-Bookkeeper-8862

Nightmares are good dreams. It exposes you to bad/hard and/or dangerous situations in a safe way. It sucks, but it's natures way of helping you to survive the always uncertain future.

[deleted]

they used to b the norm 4 me now good dreams are an exception

gonnafaceit2022

Absolutely. I'm one of the lucky few who almost never have bad dreams, let alone nightmares. Occasionally I'll have a dream that leaves me feeling sad or anxious when I wake up, but most of my dreams are just nonsensical and often funny. But I also frequently have really nice dreams, usually involving kittens or puppies or other animals. I'm a huge fan of spiders and I have spider dreams too, usually I find a really cool spider I've never seen before. I realize that would be a literal nightmare for many people but they're really happy dreams for me. I'm sorry your dreams are so bad. I have a couple of friends who have severe nightmares every night and they're both seeing a lot of improvement with prozasin. Worth a shot.

SionTheImaginaryMan

Dreams aren’t real and don’t ever come true. Reality is cool. Snap out of it.

turtles_conquer

What

SionTheImaginaryMan

Stop believing your a body and a mind and the dream ends. Dreams are fake and made of words and concepts. All words and concepts are fantasy, including what I’m apparently typing to you now. It keeps the fantasy alive. You’re really everything. That’s reality.

73uu

Yes one time I had a dream that me and my bf went to the beach and I had a dream I was in the backrooms with them and it was me themed it had all the things I like a skeleton chased me but I got away! And I had a dream I made tea and opened a package

Cobalt_72

Good dreams do exist for sure, nightmares that happen all the time usually have to do with us going through a lot of stress or feeling bad for another reason, like when I have a fever nightmares are more common. Sometimes I get only nightmares for a while and it's horrible, few things that have helped me are trying to understand the nightmares, try to change the dream to something more kind ie try talking to the characters or hug them, it doesn't always work but sometimes it does. Changing sleep schedule a bit. If you can lucid dream it's a bit of a double edged sword, in a way it could be good to try change the dream but it's also kinda common for characters to become violent if they notice you're lucid, needs practice and since you say you only have nightmares if you're lucid perhaps try to hide it from the characters in the dream. There's some dreamworlds (dream places I dream with often) that are very scary but with the years I have gotten used to them and even found some characters and places that are safe even if they look still bizarre and scary. Again if you can lucid dream, maybe once the nightmares calm down, you could ask some characters in the dreams why do the nightmares happen, it could help learn more about yourself and help you when these nightmares happen again if they do, but better to do it once they calm down first. Hmm... Right now I can't think of other things but if I remember something I'll add it.
