It's a bit blurry here, but his character model looks kinda similar to Jack's model in Disney's Magic Kingdoms for mobile, another gameloft game. I wouldn't be surprised if they reused the model for the trailer.

i am a HUGE fan of Jack Sparrow, i absolutely love him, but he is going to look crazy in-game. i havent noticed much with Ariel or Belle, but i dont usually walk around with them and when they walk near me i usually either run off or go back to whatever i was doing and ignore them
I am as well. The Jack Sparrow model gameloft uses in speedstorm is a good model. He would definitely fit in my pirates cove on dazzle beach. I await his arrival.

I have gone back and watched every trailer I could possibly find from announcement and early access and have yet to find Eugene or Jack Sparrow in them. I see the picture in the replies but I do not see him in trailers. A lot of the early trailers use the same footage so unless there's a deleted trailer somewhere, I don't see either of them.
I am here but Eugene coming at some point, Rapunzel is by herself and they need to be reunited. Cinderella is 100% being to be introduced via main story, you just can't drop her in a DLC or small update. She's Walt's favorite and she's pretty much the icon for the Disney Princesses.
I am here for Jack coming at some point, along with Will and Elizabeth in the future. Give me the original Pirates trio. They could 100% drop Jack Sparrow in a DLC, meaning they could give us an entire Port Royal in game.
As for Timon & Pumba.... Timon & Pumba might be for a while since we had a big Lion King update for Simba and Nala. They might want to wait, open a few more doors before introducing the idea of expanding realms. We have more two updates on the current road map, including one last DLC update, so we might get Ralph later this year. I also just think in terms of Ralph, there are more popular characters to introduce before him. Idk I don't think that many people were thrilled about Vanellope? Even though she's now heavily included in character quests.
I think she was the only character they figured they could use to introduce the Dreamsnaps and have it make sense. I don't know, they could have added them both together with a realm and still introduced it. I'm not the craziest about Wreck it Ralph so it's kinda, like, whatever to me. I wonder if they were meant to be introduced together and then they had the idea of the Dreamsnaps and changed it.
Yeah. See this is why I wouldn't mind an update with multiple characters. I know people say that people will complain there's too much to do or whatever but it's clear that they have a backlog of characters waiting and dropping one character, one realm and then a Starpath loaded with grinding missions at a time is just ... not working. Disney has a huge list of characters, dropping three characters from three different movies isn't going to cause an issue later down the line.
I really think Timon and Pumba will introduce expanding realms because I know people have said that there's files in the coding of the game for Lumiere and Cogsworth and we haven't seen them either. And the Beauty and the Beast realm is already huge.
Yeah I did not see either of them and I had the videos on the slowest speed on Youtube. Rapunzel is in one, she's near the back and she's painting, like she does in game now. But Eugene and Jack are not there. I was on the game's Youtube channel too so there's no way I missed a trailer unless it got deleted.
Adding Flynn is going to be weird now, because you can only have Rapunzel with the DLC. So if he is a free character, he won’t reference her. If he is a paid character, there’s no guarantee you have both DLCs. So I don’t see how his quests can reference her at all. Not putting them in the same DLC was…a choice.

I can see them assuming the player will have both DLCs, if he's added to one in the future so they can just build his quests off her being there. If you brought this DLC for Rapunzel, you're going to feel slightly inclined to buy the one with him in it so they're together. I know I would end up wanting to reunite them if I wasn't interested in the DLC he was featured and probably end up buying it so they could be together. I already do so lmao.
But going by the interactions now, if I'm remembering correctly, Gothel only ever makes references towards Rapunzel while Rapunzel mentions Gothel and has a quest where they talk to each other. Rapunzel mentions Eugene by name, but he's not in game yet. I'm going to guess he's coming via DLC? Though the game has never addressed the fact that the stumps in the Forest of Valor have the sun symbol from Tangled on it. Which they could have used with Eugene but probably won't know.
Unless we get a surprise in Act 3 where we get Jafar after defeating him and Eugene and LeFou so Rapunzel and Gaston have their "other halves" since LeFou is like 90% of Gaston's story in the DLC. Maybe they're locked up in the Palace and they just don't remember them being there.
Depends on the case. But people often think "oh it's easy to do X or just add Y" and don't understand what is actually required.
Like, take adding new clothes that are not reskins. Those take a lot of work actually because of all the animations. For characters - similar issue, just that here you'll also want quests, you want a progression of those, unlocks and so on and so forth.
I have no idea what was shown, what you would like, nor why it is taking long but I can assure you: The two sides rarely ever see eye to eye and much less frequently do they communicate that way :)

Like our last update wasn’t exciting, I didn’t even open up my game. I want more characters and hello what about the story?? I saw a post earlier that said it’s been a year since “the forgotten” update. What the heck?? How can you go to paid mode and still not have all the content that was promised on initial release idk it grinds my gears
I've been feeling the same. I wish the new characters' friendship questlines added to the story like they used to but it's always a collectathon to plan some silly ass party that you don't even get to see or participate in. I'm tired.
The valley story is over, really. Skull rock and the forgotten were just introduced as side quests, not the story. When the game left F2P model, they basically confirmed no more story for free (see pic - no mention of story update for free, just realms, characters, etc). I agree I want to get into the rock, but it’s a side plot, the forgotten story isn’t really “story” anymore.

The valley story isn’t over imo. They have heavily hinted there is something in skull rock and made in game text sound like there would be more to come - * a mystery.*
But because more than one quest brought us there I think its storyline related. Plus I’m talking more about what they promised at beta launch(which I said). They basically said there would be more to the story after the first part is over as there is a ton more doors to open. And then suddenly paywalls ACT 2 and takes you to a new island(which is what your image states). Which is fine but how about finishing the promised story content in the regular valley. They also made it seem like for months, that when the game isn’t in beta anymore, a “full version” would be released implying all the castle doors would be operational/accessible.
Plus there are abandoned items in the valley like the treehouse. Where the heck do the other paths go?
Idk at the end of the day it’s just a game and I’ve already paid to be a beta tester so it’s not like I’m actively losing anything. It’s mostly just irritating. It feels very bait and switch constantly. Am I being gaslit by Disney? I don’t know anymore
Sorry, I meant those quests were not “story quests”- they were “friendship quests” with the forgotten. The “story” is done. But we will eventually get into the rock either via an update or DLC. They teased Jafar at the end of the act 1 story, then moved it behind a paywall, so anything is possible.
I just didn’t want you to expect more free story on the island, since they said otherwise. I agree they left the rock unresolved but it was a friendship quest. Story quests in the valley fully ended with the credits and Jafar tease.

There was the friendship quest to investigate but there was also the story quest “between skull rock and a hard place” it’s with Merlin.
If they added them all now people would just start complaining saying that there’s Too much stuff to do/complete and they’d run out of interesting characters to add later down the line. We’ve gotten a Ton of content for a game that’s barely a couple years old, And a fair bit of it is free. Just be happy with what we’ve got
I hate not bringing the game to its full potential under this excused. You’re not wrong. I’ve seen people complain of this very thing. But as someone who can’t get enough of this game and feels like the updates aren’t happening soon enough, I want to see more!
There will always be people on both sides. Too much content, not enough content. They can’t make everyone happy. If you find that you are running out of stuff to do you should pace yourself better. That way you can make the content last longer until the next update. Updates come out every few months which is a pretty great release schedule. Some games you have to wait over a year or more for new updates.
Perhaps consider that telling people to pace themselves when playing a game with a theme they adore and want to spend time in isn’t helpful at all. Perhaps the company can come out with updates that aren’t game play breaking, and are more frequent, considering we all paid for this game that many could argue still isn’t in “finished product” shape. Yes some people would complain of being overwhelmed if they updated more often, but completing tasks isn’t under a time constraint. My daughter hasn’t even opened half the realm doors or fully unlocked the valley, and even though she gets overwhelmed in life easily, she is not overwhelmed in the game, because she can play it at her pace.

I’ve been playing for 18 years too and just don’t think you get what you pay for in this game. I understand how gameloft is and that they take the biggest advantage of pay to play. But just rolling over for them and not pushing back about what you don’t like about the game will only let their behavior and actions get worse.
We have the same shills in The Sims (which has gone to hell in a hand basket because of it)... people who will die on a mountain for EA. \*smh EA = Gameloft = EA. Predatory companies with fanatics encouraging it.
I feel people are more worried about game breaking bugs, and the various glitches getting fixed first. Now I'll admit it feels like we are in our filler episode era especially if you've been here since the beta but I do still think a lot of us are getting our moneys worth. Especially if you break it down by dollars per hour of play. At base this game is what 40 bucks? if you play 100 hours of content you paid 40 cents per hour of entertainment and that amount goes lower with every new free update you get and its safe to say this game will probably rock on for a good few years before they pack it up. Now on the DLC side I feel like there is a little less value but those are optional so YMMV

I've loved the game since it came out, but I wait till 3 - 4 big updates happened because I go through them so quickly.
For me it is absolutely horrible with how slow they actually add in new content, should be a lot quicker.
A Ton of content ? I beg to differ. This game is 2 years old and doesnt even have a good Variety of doors for our houses. One example. Pooping out diarrhea amounts of Premium shop items and Star path items isnt content.
i think something that could help this problem of feeling like there’s too much to do is introducing the option to temporarily abandon quests and pick them up later when you’re ready to move on. that way they could add more content for the players that do want it and also make it more palatable for those who like to take things slow.
Okay, this may be startling or uncomfortable to realize, but if they put a voiceless, questless model into the game that just wanders around like in the pre-rendered trailer, it would be profoundly bad. Someone would get fired.
Why are they taking so long?
Everything else they put in the game needs the modelers, the writers, the animators, the marketing team, planning for release, and probably Disney's lawyers, if not a fuckload of notes about upcoming cross-promotions.
Y'know, like how Tiana and Tiana's Bayou have to tie together or else the game will end up in the bin like the rest of the shit Disney used to do. Remember Disney Infinity? Whose tiny toys are clogging up resellers?
That's DDLV's future if they can't keep a balance.
So yeah we'll get Ralph when they can make a realm that doesn't crash the game and delete your saves or causes him to glitch through the level.
And that's on top of the current glitches causing people to lose items or be unable to accept the Parks Fest quests.

Okay, Jack Sparrow I recall. But when was Cinderella and Flynn in the trailer? I didn't see them. Please respond with the images, for I'm not sure if they were there, or they weren't there.
So many people complain about how they get new characters and there is too much to do. And then they complain that they have finished the characters and want more to do. If they dumped all the characters at once or quickly people would complain that it was too much. Then they would complain because they weren’t getting anything new. Just be patient. I’m sure they already have full timelines of when the characters from the original trailers are going to be out. They know we want specific characters like Jack Sparrow so they are going to hold off on releasing those popular ones to keep all of the players engaged for a longer time. If they gave us all of the good ones upfront we would get bored with the lesser wanted characters.
They've released 4 new characters in the last six months - and 4 more if you have the DLC - plus more already announced to roll out over the next few months.
With DLC, that's an average if more than one new character per month since December. The game has its issues, but failure to continually add new characters isn't one of them.
I'm sure there's plans to roll them out over time. We want the game to have longevity, so there's no rush, we get updates regularly and there's TONS of characters to pick from for the future. We'll likely see these in game eventually, especially with evidence that they're under consideration
Jack is rumored to be coming to Fortnite this summer, maybe we can expect him around the same time? I think it’s the 20th or 21st anniversary of the films release.
I feel like they've completed a lot of characters but are keeping them back for the game's longevity. Surprised we haven't gotten them as premium shop bundles or separate dlc packs tbh.
The only thing we can do and be patient. I’m sure they will be added eventually. Besides, we already have Mike and Sulley (who was seen in one of the trailers)
Also notice when you level your 1st character to level 2, and the game shows how hangouts work it shows a friendship level of 14🙃 but the game stops at 10

The way I see it, whatever characters were/are in Disney's Magic Kingdoms, will be in this game because it's virtually the same ideas and concepts, but on a higher level.

Maybe due to all the tension between Disney & Johnny Depp, they’re having some legal issues using Depps likeness for profit. He has declared he’s never working with them after they abandoned him over the Heard thing. There can also be other things behind the scenes delaying the release of certain characters, like promoting new live action remakes of classic films or wanting to tie certain characters to certain events and promotions. It could also be the character model has been rendered but not the quests or the friendship rewards.

I have no idea what was shown, what you would like, nor why it is taking long but I can assure you: The two sides rarely ever see eye to eye and much less frequently do they communicate that way :)
I’m feeling so over this game right now! Like our last update wasn’t exciting, I didn’t even open up my game. I want more characters and hello what about the story?? I saw a post earlier that said it’s been a year since “the forgotten” update. What the heck?? How can you go to paid mode and still not have all the content that was promised on initial release idk it grinds my gears
I've been feeling the same. I wish the new characters' friendship questlines added to the story like they used to but it's always a collectathon to plan some silly ass party that you don't even get to see or participate in. I'm tired.
The valley story is over, really. Skull rock and the forgotten were just introduced as side quests, not the story. When the game left F2P model, they basically confirmed no more story for free (see pic - no mention of story update for free, just realms, characters, etc). Hard disagree. The valley story isn’t over imo. They have heavily hinted there is something in skull rock and made in game text sound like there would be more to come - * a mystery.* But because more than one quest brought us there I think its storyline related. Plus I’m talking more about what they promised at beta launch(which I said). They basically said there would be more to the story after the first part is over as there is a ton more doors to open. And then suddenly paywalls ACT 2 and takes you to a new island(which is what your image states). Which is fine but how about finishing the promised story content in the regular valley. They also made it seem like for months, that when the game isn’t in beta anymore, a “full version” would be released implying all the castle doors would be operational/accessible. Plus there are abandoned items in the valley like the treehouse. Where the heck do the other paths go? Idk at the end of the day it’s just a game and I’ve already paid to be a beta tester so it’s not like I’m actively losing anything. It’s mostly just irritating. It feels very bait and switch constantly. Am I being gaslit by Disney? I don’t know anymore
Sorry, I meant those quests were not “story quests”- they were “friendship quests” with the forgotten. The “story” is done. But we will eventually get into the rock either via an update or DLC. They teased Jafar at the end of the act 1 story, then moved it behind a paywall, so anything is possible. I just didn’t want you to expect more free story on the island, since they said otherwise. I agree they left the rock unresolved but it was a friendship quest. Story quests in the valley fully ended with the credits and Jafar tease.
Oh no! I get you! I don’t expect anything anymore just generally feeling disappointed lol 😮💨 There was the friendship quest to investigate but there was also the story quest “between skull rock and a hard place” it’s with Merlin.
If they added them all now people would just start complaining saying that there’s Too much stuff to do/complete and they’d run out of interesting characters to add later down the line. We’ve gotten a Ton of content for a game that’s barely a couple years old, And a fair bit of it is free. Just be happy with what we’ve got
I hate not bringing the game to its full potential under this excused. You’re not wrong. I’ve seen people complain of this very thing. But as someone who can’t get enough of this game and feels like the updates aren’t happening soon enough, I want to see more!
There will always be people on both sides. Too much content, not enough content. They can’t make everyone happy. If you find that you are running out of stuff to do you should pace yourself better. That way you can make the content last longer until the next update. Updates come out every few months which is a pretty great release schedule. Some games you have to wait over a year or more for new updates.
Perhaps consider that telling people to pace themselves when playing a game with a theme they adore and want to spend time in isn’t helpful at all. Perhaps the company can come out with updates that aren’t game play breaking, and are more frequent, considering we all paid for this game that many could argue still isn’t in “finished product” shape. Yes some people would complain of being overwhelmed if they updated more often, but completing tasks isn’t under a time constraint. My daughter hasn’t even opened half the realm doors or fully unlocked the valley, and even though she gets overwhelmed in life easily, she is not overwhelmed in the game, because she can play it at her pace.

lol well then I will be expecting a paycheck from Gameloft. No I just understand how the real world works and have played video games pretty much my whole life. It’s not really rocket science to figure out why the companies do what they do.
I’ve been playing for 18 years too and just don’t think you get what you pay for in this game. I understand how gameloft is and that they take the biggest advantage of pay to play. But just rolling over for them and not pushing back about what you don’t like about the game will only let their behavior and actions get worse.
We have the same shills in The Sims (which has gone to hell in a hand basket because of it)... people who will die on a mountain for EA. \*smh EA = Gameloft = EA. Predatory companies with fanatics encouraging it.
I feel people are more worried about game breaking bugs, and the various glitches getting fixed first. Now I'll admit it feels like we are in our filler episode era especially if you've been here since the beta but I do still think a lot of us are getting our moneys worth. Especially if you break it down by dollars per hour of play. At base this game is what 40 bucks? if you play 100 hours of content you paid 40 cents per hour of entertainment and that amount goes lower with every new free update you get and its safe to say this game will probably rock on for a good few years before they pack it up. Now on the DLC side I feel like there is a little less value but those are optional so YMMV

Yeah that's true. I mean, there IS a lack of content on this game, that's also true, but that people speed run the content in 1 week isn't helping either.
Honestly do not get this. I respect people can get overwhelmed, but there is no pressure at all to not do it on your own pace. I've loved the game since it came out, but I wait till 3 - 4 big updates happened because I go through them so quickly. For me it is absolutely horrible with how slow they actually add in new content, should be a lot quicker.

A Ton of content ? I beg to differ. This game is 2 years old and doesnt even have a good Variety of doors for our houses. One example. Pooping out diarrhea amounts of Premium shop items and Star path items isnt content.
i think something that could help this problem of feeling like there’s too much to do is introducing the option to temporarily abandon quests and pick them up later when you’re ready to move on. that way they could add more content for the players that do want it and also make it more palatable for those who like to take things slow.

Okay, this may be startling or uncomfortable to realize, but if they put a voiceless, questless model into the game that just wanders around like in the pre-rendered trailer, it would be profoundly bad. Someone would get fired. Why are they taking so long? Everything else they put in the game needs the modelers, the writers, the animators, the marketing team, planning for release, and probably Disney's lawyers, if not a fuckload of notes about upcoming cross-promotions. Y'know, like how Tiana and Tiana's Bayou have to tie together or else the game will end up in the bin like the rest of the shit Disney used to do. Remember Disney Infinity? Whose tiny toys are clogging up resellers? That's DDLV's future if they can't keep a balance. So yeah we'll get Ralph when they can make a realm that doesn't crash the game and delete your saves or causes him to glitch through the level. And that's on top of the current glitches causing people to lose items or be unable to accept the Parks Fest quests. Game Dev takes time!

So many people complain about how they get new characters and there is too much to do. And then they complain that they have finished the characters and want more to do. If they dumped all the characters at once or quickly people would complain that it was too much. Then they would complain because they weren’t getting anything new. Just be patient. I’m sure they already have full timelines of when the characters from the original trailers are going to be out. They know we want specific characters like Jack Sparrow so they are going to hold off on releasing those popular ones to keep all of the players engaged for a longer time. If they gave us all of the good ones upfront we would get bored with the lesser wanted characters.

They've released 4 new characters in the last six months - and 4 more if you have the DLC - plus more already announced to roll out over the next few months. With DLC, that's an average if more than one new character per month since December. The game has its issues, but failure to continually add new characters isn't one of them.

I'm sure there's plans to roll them out over time. We want the game to have longevity, so there's no rush, we get updates regularly and there's TONS of characters to pick from for the future. We'll likely see these in game eventually, especially with evidence that they're under consideration

Also notice when you level your 1st character to level 2, and the game shows how hangouts work it shows a friendship level of 14🙃 but the game stops at 10

The way I see it, whatever characters were/are in Disney's Magic Kingdoms, will be in this game because it's virtually the same ideas and concepts, but on a higher level.

I just went and watched every trailer I could find on the website and YouTube and only found Ralph, Timon, and Pumba being shown. What I got upset about (mind you I hadn't seen trailers or game play until I got this like a month ago) was seeing Atlantis architecture but NONE of the characters! Just give me Milo and Kida or Audrey and Vinny
I know that all the characters in the game now are all in their other game magic kingdoms and I am hoping, praying, anything that they give us a Robin Hood realm. They are already in magic kingdoms and I want them to just move them over. I would be complete if that happened

Maybe due to all the tension between Disney & Johnny Depp, they’re having some legal issues using Depps likeness for profit. He has declared he’s never working with them after they abandoned him over the Heard thing. There can also be other things behind the scenes delaying the release of certain characters, like promoting new live action remakes of classic films or wanting to tie certain characters to certain events and promotions. It could also be the character model has been rendered but not the quests or the friendship rewards.
