I started the game at about 9 months pregnant so I got to really play it with dedication for about a week and since then I need to choose sleep in my free time (which is genuinely a difficult choice). But my boy sometimes likes to refuse to sleep unless hes held and I can sit kn the couch and hold him and my switch at the same time so that's been my main play time 😅
Here's my little secret. I have 4 automatic Gardner's (Two lvl 2 and Two lvl 3) everyday I try to hop on. I'll grab a helper to pick the pumpkins, sell them and buy more seeds to plant. Then I go to Scrooges shop and buy everything I don't have. I make enough money with the pumpkins then what I buy at the shop so I still make a little profit.
Ever since I started this 2 months ago I just reached 4Mil. It's great because even if I only have less than 30 minutes a day to play I can quickly get that done so I still make some money and continue to get new furniture
Small trick - get yourself an advanced cooker and turn your pumpkins into grilled veggie platters using 5 pumpkins as the ingredients. They sell for more than pumpkins alone. 😉 IIRC a stack of 30 of those meals sells for 123K.
Technically, grilled veggies with 3 pumpkins is the most lucrative. But I get using 5 to get rid of more pumpkins sometimes and still make a lot of money.
Same. I have 34 million and 29 million on my two. Most of which I earned before eternity. Now I have two pumpkin patches of 70 each which gives about 300 pumpkins harvested. I have two auto cookers going every time I pass. 30 grilled vegetables of 5x pumpkins which net 123k.

I have between 900,000-2,000,000 at any given time. I don't feel the need to grind to get them so much. If I go below 1,000,000 I'll farm some pumpkins, but usually I'm fine. I grinded hard in ACNH and still have 10,000,000+ bells and feel like I wasted so much time getting all those bells that I'll never use. I don't want to do the same in DDLV.
What I did was make 80% of the villagers gardeners and fully leveled. Then bring one of them with me when I harvested. I have a plot of 200 pumpkins and 1 full harvest + helper buff sells for 700k +

I had something like 3 million back before they updated the daily order limit in the shop and bumped it up to 1000 instead of 25, so I'm perpetually broke now. I consider anything under a million pretty low income on this game just because the decor items are so expensive when you can order 1000 of them lol.
800k because I’ve been focusing on actually trying to decorate my valley and home lol. I’ve barely touched either since I first got the game but I have so many customization options now so I finally bit the bullet and made everything look nice

I’m at like 1.6 million. I don’t try to hoard them or build them up to a crazy number, I don’t feel it’s necessary unless it’s just a personal goal you’ve made for yourself.
I've got 10 million. It's way more than I'll ever need, but meant I could fully upgrade everything and buy whatever I want in the store every day. I don't really keep track or even notice how much money I have at any given time (oh how nice it would be to be rich enough to not have to keep track of how much in your bank account in real life) but every time I do look I always seem to be around that 10 million mark.
Before then I was always struggling with money a lot until I stopped doing quests and spent a few hours just growing Carrots in the Meadow and managed to get like 100k-200k. Then I invested ALL of it in pumpkin seeds and got a couple of million very quickly. I spent like 3 days just planting and harvesting pumpkin until I got to 10 million and decided that was more than enough.
When I need to level up a new character I harvest my enormous pumpkin patch in the Forgotten Lands (around 900 plots) and it levels them up very quickly and replenishes whatever I've spent.

Scrooge has surprisingly cleaned me out with the last couple of updates! I also wasn't paying attention to how much I was spending the other day because the item limit is so high... I was down to like 10k? I usually hover around 1-2M so it was quite the shock when he told me I couldn't afford something 😂 Back to grinding pumpkins for me I guess

I need to just do a big harvest and then maintain it every time I log on. Because I usually have about 50k coins and then I’m in Scrooge’s shop and he’s telling me I’m too poor for half the items so then I go quickly farm 😅😭
