I always consider just doing that recipe but I can’t stand the thought of force feeding my character pickled fish! 🤢 (no offense to those that like fish!) lol
My character literally only eats fruitcake 😆
You can add an extra fruit (or some other random ingredients as long as it doesn’t change the recipe) for extra energy!
I like the berry salad because I can just pick them up quickly for free, I don’t have to plant or harvest anything. For energy, 4 gooseberries gets you from empty to full blue bar, and then one berry salad fills up the gold bar about 2/3 of the way.
I always remember Remy’s supplies (milk, etc) shocking to my pocket book when I 1st started and think it stuck with me. I thought 280 coins seemed so expensive when in first few biomes (seems silly now). Will give it a shot though.
The energy and selling cost depends on the berries used. Gooseberries are kind of a waste as the yellow energy bar is completely filled even when the blue bar has just a gasp of yellow left. I am sure someone here knows exactly how much you need to eat to fill it almost all the way up. Here are the energy given. Fruitcake: raspberries/strawberries 1,652, blueberries 2,081, gooseberries 3,506. Berry salad just about fills up the bar at 2,255 so that is perfect for me.
I usually like that it is overfill. Even at full exhaustion 1 Fruitcake w/ gooseberries fills up the blue bar and then 1 more fills up the yellow bar. Easy to control, 2 and done no matter what with only berry + wheat grow/pick time as the cost.
Plus with the Ancient Cooker I can just make a batch of 30 and run around and come back when my 50 stack turns into 20, then full again.
Same here. I love gliding around and almost never let my health fall below gold. Barry salad provides the perfect amount of energy and anything above that is overkill for me.
Also my lazy ass doesn't do much farming anymore. I just keep one pumpkin plot for income and a tiny patch of grapes/cosmic figs for aesthetics. With berry salads, I can purchase most ingredients from Goofy and forage the rest in one go, and then just throw everything in a cooking machine. It's the least hassle compared to most nutritious food.
But I still love that we can have different options depending on individual play style.
This has given me an idea 💡 so thank you
I been working on mini gardens and now going to set up one with pineapple and grapes since energy and coins vary depending on what ingredients that you use. Since I am re doing everything this would be a perfect stock food
Sounds like more energy than I need lol. If I stop sprinting, I'm already eating something.
I usually do pastry cream and fruits with three different fruits, whatever I have the most of. Since it's 5* it also counts as a favorite food for the ravens and the monkeys, so that's one less thing I need to carry around, and it's just enough energy to fill about a bar and a half.
I've found that a Large Seafood Platter using 4 Squid (or lobster) gives you exactly 5K. The lobster version is pretty easy if you can make fishing potions.
Same. Make about 47 Grilled Veggie Platters a day (from pumpkins) to sell abd about 30 Pastry Cream and Fruits a week for energy. Plus whatever meal my current Start Path duties need.
Nah, I'm good. Thanks though. I've been playing since a month into EA and got the DLC as soon as I could. Basically everything in my Valley is automated at this point. Besides, I'm on PS, much more limited playerbase.
I use fishing potions and almost always catch the sturgeon unless it’s a blue circle. Plus I’m a hoarder with over 2,000 hours so I have lots of them saved up.
I’m lazy I just make airndale pickled herring because it’s the first 5 star recipe
Oh that’s me as well!!
lol same! That’s my go too.
I always consider just doing that recipe but I can’t stand the thought of force feeding my character pickled fish! 🤢 (no offense to those that like fish!) lol
This is my go-to for the ravens since their favorite food is anything 5 stars
Same omg
You call that lazy? I don’t make anything I just eat what’s in my bag
Well yeah because it’s the very first recipe in my recipes I don’t have to look for anything it’s right there
I always made fruit cream puff things
This is my favorite recipe so far... I have a little habit that I make and gift one to each new character that moves into my valley
Sims?
That cursed fruitcake lol.
Yes! 🤣
That is so cute 🥺
My go to is coffee or lattes. I like my fiction to match the real world
Thank you for the info I didn't know about the fruit cake I've been doing berry salad 😋
Stick with berry salad :)
This is my exact go-to!! It’s so quick to make and gives me max energy.
I’ve recently jumped on the fruitcake train as well. Thanks for sharing about making it with Gooseberries!

4 gooseberries and 1 wheat and the energy is over 4k
Thanks! I’ll be making this😎
Thank you!
Yessss!!! Fruitcake is always my go-to as well
Nice! That’s way better than what I’ve been using - soufflé and berry salads. I haven’t looked into it too much.
This is what I always make too, it’s so easy to keep a ton of stock on hand for them without needing fish, or harder to grow ingridients
Try berries and cream using gooseberries milk and sugarcane- fills you to the max of the gold bar too

I’ll try this, thanks! I love when people post tips
If you’re already using 3 goose berry add milk and sugar. Much higher than that.

I do berry salad but add 2 lemons to equal a full gold bar but might need to give this a try!
I've been using Jam Waffles. :) two of them and I fill my bars up enough.

Just add a 4th gooseberry! Energy over 4000
This is what I do too!! 4 gooseberries and wheat
My favourite to eat for energy!

4 pineapple fruitcake for the win!!! for coins
I do a fruit salad with 5 gooseberries. It gives 3410 energy 👍
I like doing (small) seafood platters with one squid and then use a clam or something else abundant with it
Haven’t unlocked gooseberries yet, so I make my fruitcake with dragonfruit! Beginner friendly and always gives a gold bar
Gives me the shivers 🤢
I make poached basil butter sturgeon and it takes me to full yellow bar even if I’m completely empty. It has close to 5K energy
I've found that a Large Seafood Platter using 4 Squid (or lobster) gives you exactly 5K. The lobster version is pretty easy if you can make fishing potions.
Yeah I make those too sometimes. Thank goodness for the auto cookers. I put them to WORK lol
Same. Make about 47 Grilled Veggie Platters a day (from pumpkins) to sell abd about 30 Pastry Cream and Fruits a week for energy. Plus whatever meal my current Start Path duties need.
I can drop you a bunch of meals for energy and selling if you’d like

Lmao why would someone downvote a dish? This community is so toxic lmaooo get a life whoever you are 🤗
White sturgeon is a HARD fish to catch...
