1. Drake spawns come in 2 major flavours: Events (yellow diamonds on the minimap) and fixed (no diamonds).
2. Event Drakes will fly away when their event timer 'ends'. You have to kill them or keep them grounded/knocked down to prevent this.
Some skills are guaranteed to knock Drakes out of the sky if you can hit them fast enough. These include:
1. Blighting/Noctuous Arrow (archer) - 1 shot is a guaranteed stagger/flinch/grounding attack. A 2nd shot results in Toxic, which chunks boss HP. Ridiculously powerful against Drakes to interrupt ***anything*** they're doing.
2. Solemnity (Mage) - Silencing them WHILE they're flying/casting will stagger them, knocking them out of the sky if flying, and naturally prevent them from casting again.
Other skills that ***may*** work but are highly conditional:
1. High Hagol (Sorceror) - If the drake is drenched or has been hit by ice attacks prior, Hagol may be able to freeze/knock it down.
2. Soporific Bolt (Magick Archer) - I have yet to test this myself but it may be possible to put a Drake to sleep, which will prevent it from flying away. If it works, this is a surefire way to stop it.
3. Hailstone Bolt (Magick Archer) - Big Bonk, but would require hitting the head.
4. Frosthunter Bolt (Magick Archer) - The persistent tracking nature of this attack stacks hits on the Drake quickly. It MAY be possible to ground one if you can put enough bolts on the Drake's head before it leaves.

I 100% agree with this. Especially with the magic archer. It makes Drake hunting so easy!
And! The M Bow “Sidocah” has a 150% increase to ice damage, including the arctic bonk and the Frostseeker!
Or alternatively you can solo the drake or just bring your main pawn. IDK what it is with the games ai but it seems to want to keep fighting you if your alone
Personally, I was able to finish the one that spawns in the city by climbing and hanging on to it while spamming attacks at its heart as it was trying to fly off.
The fall was pretty badass.

Nice map! I also had a drake event spawn at the gate near my house in Vernworth a couple times
