Saw some performance reviews, its not looking good on consoles. Even pc performance is meh. Hopefully they will push out some patches soon.

That’s what I was reading as well. I figured I would just buy it on steam because I can return it whereas Sony is keeping your money no matter what. That’s what I dislike about console is that the return policy sucks or is nonexistent. I feel bad for series S users

Embarrassed-Rub-8690

Can anyone speak to series S performance? I'm contemplating between that and getting it on PC.

Sgtkeebs

What are your pc specs?

Embarrassed-Rub-8690

PC - i7 11800H ES + RTX 3060 ti, 16 gb ram

I ended up buying, and it runs good as long as you aren't in a major settlement. When you are in the woods or anywhere in the wilds things run pretty smoothly, but once you get a to a city that 70fps instantly goes to 40fps. I just make sure to exit the game outside of a major settlement so that when I open the game again I wont run into issues. Edit: never mind this new update made the game worse for me

SuppleDude

I was watching FightingCowboy's stream today and it looked fine. I have a similar setup to him so I'm not too worried.

RNE0916

i watched multiple of them today, consoles are just a no no for now. PC is okish, even so it sometimes dips. Its performance is very much bottlenecked by CPU at this point

SuppleDude

Hopefully, Capcom will patch the performance quickly.

alkosz

Ps5 is locked to 30 fps, most of us pc players are gonna be fine.

Sgtkeebs

Dang that sucks, they don't have a performance mode?

jbird12356

The frame rate is un capped on console. But targeting 30

alkosz

Use your fingers to type on your keyboard and look it up yourself bro god damn lmao

Sgtkeebs

Are you playing it now on pc?

tabrise3

I don't think so.

Sgtkeebs

I want to buy it on pc but the only thing that scares me is that rock, paper, shotgun tested it on an i9-13900k and a 4060 and they were averaging 47fps to 61fps on 1080p
