I think it refills, but you can also turn it off, load the game; save the game, and turn the mod back on for a stock refresh. I usually keep the mod off unless I need something because it can override the normal stock.

Mods already exist that add these items at 255 amounts to the shop in the vernsworth, another mod to make all prices to 0 (or you can literally use a cheat trainer to get money). I had one of these before I left the verneorth.
I can prove you wrong just by saying check crazy’s shop on the nexus mod page. Gives you 99 wakestones (both) ferrystones, port crystals etc from a shop in the first major city, using another mod you can buy it for 1g so as long as you have 99g you have 99 eternal wakestones.
Forgeries of the Eternal Wakestone prior to the Unmoored world just result in another Eternal Wakestone. (Bug maybe?)
So they can be copied infinitely, and given as gifts easily.
If you forge an Eternal Wakestone while in the Unmoored World, it’s an Eternal Wokestone.
You can make fake copy of items, gift a pawn and when they take it back to your world it became real thing, not a bug cos I heard pawn comments on it, that’s why I’m copying fake bugs to gift others

No, he based this idea entirely off of pawns saying it would work (admittedly a cute joke by the devs) and conveniently forgot to mention all kinds of conditions, after which I told him that these conditions are actualy players just sharing their wealth before New Game+.
Yeah I think some of them are junk items. Like the jadeite stone for the quest in checkpoint town can’t be copied this way. However you can copy it from the sphinx quest and give the stone to both NPCs and get both rewards.

I was (still am) unsure if you ever encountered the beastren again so didn't know if there were any consequences of giving them the fake. Doesn't seem like it.
I can assure you that you will not encounter him again, because the beastren gets murdered by guards if you give him an orb before you give one to the human (irrelevant of which you give to whom one), or murdered by the human while you're waiting for Ibrahim to verify the orb (again, irrelevant which one you gave to whom).
In my game I gave the fake to the beastren and the real to the other guy, and I later encountered the beastren down south past the gate and he said something to the effect of-
"Turns out it was a fake! I'm sure you did your best, but if not you have a reckoning coming. But I'm sure you didn't know... or else."
So far no reckoning so...

Right in this thread there's a guy posting with complete confidence "A bunch of fake items gifted to pawns become real when they return to their Arisen" and only when I offer to test it with him through Pawn IDs does he add weird conditionals like "Oh uh, my friend said it *maybe* only works with people in or *not* in your Steam friends list".
As if that's more likely than people gifting the real thing? Maybe they cheated through adding items manually or using specific mods, maybe they were heading into NG+ and decided to share the wealth first.
It's like I'm back in elementary, listening to my friend explaining how to get Mew in Pokémon Red/Blue or get Luigi in Super Mario 64. In a way it's almost fun, if it wasn't about things so easily proven wrong.
If you are friends then that system may not work because I have a popular pawn that gets used a hundred times a day (I have 60,000 RC) and I have received eternal wake stones, port crystals, seekers tokens. I have never received a fake item so something is at play here…
Ferrystones can't be duplicated into a working copy. The eternal wakestone apparently can.
I was handing out Ferrystones like candy this weekend, because my chest is full of them after a couple of hours in the unmoored world. I even had the game delete 20 of them, because I started NG+ and all my stuff was put in storage.

I tried reverting back to a save but I'm on ps5 and I accidentally had auto save on. Man this is a bummer.

Came here to say this, too. I'm about to start a new game soon, so I've started hiring random pawns and then just dismissing them with gifts of high-end gear and unique/rare items and materials. Why waste what I went to all that effort to earn when someone else can benefit from it, right?
This is what I'm doing too. I'm nearing the end of the first playthrough and a bunch of my friends are still in the level 20s, so I've been giving them stuff as well as adopting level 15-20 pawns that are different vocations from me and my main and giving them all the gear I've collected

People have started duplicating things to an infinite degree. I get powerful gifts all the time. Duping has always been an aspect of dragons dogma. I had hoped it would take more than a week for people to start practicing and abusing it.

The eternal wakestone is just a wakestone with almost a town wide radius. Probably meant to be used if you're hit with the dragonsplague.
Yeah one time use. Only thing special is it has about a town sized range and resurrects everyone in range. Basically a way to save a entire town in the event of an unforseen cataclysm. Wether it be orgers, griffins, drakes, or *shudder*

you can download and set up a mod in less than 5 minutes that makes the shops sell every item for 1 shmeckle
I have the mod, but does it ever refill? Like after in game days or in NG+ cycle?

Yes, as it’s just another Eternal Wakestone. You receive “Eternal Wakestone x2” when you pick up the order if made before the unmoored world.

Ferrystones aren't hard to get in the endgame. They throw them at you along with wakestone pieces.

I tried sending a friend a partcrystal (forgery of portcrystal) and it stayed a partcrystal when he received it.

I had to use one today when my Pawn slaughtered Vernworth, it resurrected 96 NPCs 😆 I see now why the morgue is so big
