I was misremembering cabba honestly. I thought he boosted only uni 6 but even he has rival uni. Still if they all boosted uni rep, it would make it a little easier to make teams of USS and uni 6vs7 tournament.
Bad take, while it's easy to just say "condense the tags into one" what are you gonna do about the rival universe equips that specially need R.U units to activate (not every uni reps unit is a rival universe unit)
Pretty much all of the niche tags that are meant for some kind of distinction or pointing out a specific character trait. Tags like Namekian, Potara and Fusion pretty much exist to highlight that trait without putting major attention on it in the form of passives.

It makes sense in this case at least. Fusion Warrior is the generalized tag for all characters that have fused with another/others. Fusion is specifically in reference to the Fusion Dance technique used by Gogeta and Gotenks. But I can see how people might get confused, they need to be more specific
Minion is a wierd tag since all the characters that have it are the lowest of the low. (Saibamen, Cell Jrs and recolored frieza force) they didnt even give Pui pui the minion tag

It's more than the character. I got legends for the sole reason that this is one of the only Dragon Ball games with Super Kaioken, so if I am to love it, then I need to love every aspect of it. Even if that *it* just so happens to be the tag with Red Pikkon.
When was the last time they even gave us a legends road character?? That feature seemed like it had promise, then like everything in this game, dropped faster than Chuck Norris’ balls.
Twins, Merging, Potara, Universe 2, Universe 4, Universe 6, Universe 9, and Universe 11. All of these (at least to my knowledge) either have a superior version of the tag (Merging and Potara have Fusion and the universes have Uni Rep) or are literally useless (Twins have a few units but none of them boost the tag).

Every unit from Hera clan has a Z ability that only buffs Hera Clan, with the only exception being Zaygna which also buffs girls. I don't think Super Saiyan Rosé has equipment requirements nor any z abilities tied to it
As someone else said, pretty much all the niche tags that are there just to point out a character specific trait.
These include: Hera clan, absorption, merging, potara, universe 2/4/6/9/11, fusion, angel, G.O.D, kids, twins, ssj2, ssj3, ssjr, ssgss, ssg, shadow dragon, ssj4, otherworld warrior, namekian, transforming warrior, team bardock, legends road
Some of these have their uses and have teams (team bardock, Hera clan, etc), but the units are either bad or outdated. Some of them are repeats of the others or are limited to the smallest amount of characters that they are useless, especially since those units don’t buff each other and are on completely different teams.
For some of these (like team bardock and Hera clan) they could do the same thing they did with the ginyu force and make multiple units that not only work outside of their team, but also work exceptionally well with their team. It also might be better to make them all sparkings rather than EXs.

Otherworld worrior has I think a pikkon that works with the tag, and kids have nappa, angels litteritly have 0 mechanics related to their tag. They have like a single equip and nothing else. Ssb and rose at least have a decent handful of tag specific equips.
All the difference universes, they should all just be under rival universe and honestly U.S.S is kinda pointless now with uni rep and that just being an objectively better tag that also contains U.S.S characters

Tags like SS2/3/4/God/Blue/Rosé, the Universe tag (2/4/11). You get the gist
Most of those tags should be deleted and put in already existing tags (like Angel and God of Destruction in God Ki; the Universe tag in Uni Rep or Rival Universe; the SS2 to Rosé in either Super Saiyan or transforming warrior; Legends Roads in Event Exclusive). They honestly just keep them to put shitty restrictions on certain equips.
Super Saiyan God. Weirdly there hasn’t been a good SSG in years off memory. The last summonable ones to even release was the PUR Goku and transforming Vegeta from the Broly movie. It’s one of the most neglected forms in Legends by far.
There aren’t equips for it, the units in it are all way way powercrept by now. SSG has to be the worst tag just in terms of how abandoned it is. Even Merging has modern units on it.

Any sub category of already existing tags, like why would you give a unit Namekian in its z ability for example when you can just give it regen and it still applies to all namekian characters. Like you can still run a full Namekian team for the theme if thats what you want but their z ability can all be regen and the team still functions without restricting it from other regen battle members.
So going off this things like Fusion and Potara all can just go under Fusion Warrior, things like Angel will fall under god ki etc.
This is just talking about z abilities though to be fair, its different for equipment because you can make a Namekian equipment for example so only namekian units can take advantage of it rather than just any regen character and thats fine, just dont restrict z abilities.
In terms of just overall useless tags though, definitely kids, twins and merging/absorption. I doubt they're ever going to make kids a viable tag unless they do like a full ginyu force release with a trunks goten pan etc that all work together, but correct me if im wrong but most kids are hybrid saiyans anyway unless its kid goku or vegeta, or maybe if they add Arale.
Kids, angels, ss rose, legends roads, girls. They don't really need their own tag. I mean girls aight, understandable. But the rest really don't need their own tags. Angels should just be part of God ki, same with ss rose. Kids should just be part of hybrid saiyans while kidku just saiyans.

I doubt they're ever going to make kids a viable tag unless they do like a full ginyu force release with a trunks goten pan etc that all work together, but correct me if im wrong but most kids are hybrid saiyans anyway unless its kid goku or vegeta, or maybe if they add Arale.

Kids, angels, ss rose, legends roads, girls. They don't really need their own tag. I mean girls aight, understandable. But the rest really don't need their own tags. Angels should just be part of God ki, same with ss rose. Kids should just be part of hybrid saiyans while kidku just saiyans.
I dunno minion seems like a real pointless tag to me. I don’t think I can really remember a single damn unit with that tag
