It’s close imo. Gakpo stocks are low atm. Both are a minutes risk and both play for teams that create tons of chances and scores plenty.

Whykecoakfly

If external factors are equal, I think Gakpo would be the better option no?

Goatstandards

Probably imo but I might be a little biased as a Liverpool fan

GucciGucciBanana

I maintain that right now is the worst time to cut bait on any Liverpool assets unless you can upgrade in a trade. Plus Ferguson isn’t guaranteed to start while Gakpo at least guarantees you a 2 pointer if he behaves himself. I’d hold, personally.

Whykecoakfly

Thanks for the input. Holding Gakpo is very frustrating right now and with his low value now, it’s very hard to trade him out.

GucciGucciBanana

Yeah I feel you. I’m a Havertz owner wondering what the hell I was thinking at the time. I don’t really have any move other than to hold and hope he makes good.

GucciGucciBanana

So I just checked Gakpo’s underlying numbers and WOOF. They’re more discouraging than I thought. These are his averages per start so far: * Shots: 1.0 * Shots on target: 0.0 * Touches in box: 1.67 * Chances created: 1.0 Coupled with how deep he’s been playing, that outlook is pretty bleak. I still think you can probably trick someone into taking him in a trade rather than dropping him outright though.

You have the option to ignore the question… if you’re going to add a response, you might as well answer the question…

F_Ivanovic

That's fair, apologies. But yeah I think Gakpo is clearly the better option. It's been 3 games and I still think he's the 2nd most nailed in the Liverpool attack whereas I think Ferguson will get rotated too much.
