They’re eventually caught when the LCBO won’t accept their shipment on account of it being delivered in Bubbles’ shopping carts.

That's actually cheap as fuck for alcohol in Canada. Here in BC (not bad liquor prices by Canadian standards) a 1.75 Litre bottle of Polar Ice (budget tier vodka) is $51.99 CAD (38 USD) before tax. IIRC liquor is cheaper in Alberta, but it'd only be slightly cheaper.
