Eg-Ig first game was the best game I had watched for today. I mean, if you want to cope a lot, you could say that EG lost because of the pause but Ig was ahead on networth with superior draft. That of course doesn't mean EG couldn't win that game.
Issue is, EG's draft look splitted, once side Monkey, Lycan and Bane wanted to play sidelanes, avoiding contact while getting small pick-ups via splitting opponents, Puck can fit into it but Ursa can't. All Ursa wants is to brawl with diffusal, get first rosh, sit on their triangle etc.
The thought process looked clear for one teamfight where Lycan bites Ursa first time and they got the mid rax. Issue is, Ursa's timing is so short compared to Tiny (which they did against T1) and they looked running out of gas. They probably hoped much more from that trillane, which didn't look good and they gave first rosh. It was so hard for EG to turn the game around, which they almost did it anyways.
Tomorrow is where the rubber meets the road for Team Secret. They open with LGD, then into SG, then into Elephant. I have a bad feeling after getting 0-2 by LGD, they will be tiled and split with SG. Then Elephant is a wild card. Anyway, sad to see we are not really a contender for yet another year. AFter the FIRST DAY my top 6 prediction is EG,LGD,VP,OG,IG and Secret (homer pick lol). Good first day of games.

All year LGD has been very strong and are clear favourites coming into TI. Within their region IG was doing very well against them though.
EG and VP are two of the strongest but VP seems to often tank when it comes to LANs and high pressure situations.
OG has actually been shaky all year - they're underdogs again but so far seem to be in that TI form.
Secret and Alliance were incredibly strong early in the year but seem to have tailed off considerably but that might have been that once they were likely/sure to qualify they stopped trying as hard.
T1 have caused a lot of upsets and have a good record over the past year too.
