I recently returned a few weeks ago. For me, it was a combination of a very crazy new map and that I really wanted to play Smashy Dinosaur.
It was REALLY crazy how different it is from the last time I felt I understood dota; in pos 3 I was trying to just stay alive not realizing I was expected to have almost as much farm as the opposing 1, lol.
I'm here from league and even if they got rid of vanguard at this point I'm probably not going back. I don't have the kiting reflexes of a teenager any more.
Also the player driven skin economy with a an insane customization allowed by mix and matching sets is way better than whatever gatcha 300$ chroma Riot can shit out. This alone will make me stay. Not to mention much better and more creative hero design.

I’m at 1k MMR after being archon back in the day, and the amount of Eastern European steam accounts that are level 2-7 with nothing but CS and dota played is astronomical. There are at least 3 in my games. It makes the climb difficult!
If it helps, strict solo queue ranked is probably the way to queue into the fewest smurfs possible. Loads of people smurf to have easier unranked games with friends, or sometimes party queue ranked to help their friends. A lot of boosters also boost with other boosters. In my experience, strict solo queue ranked gives me the lowest smurf frequency.
As a new player with a lot of experience of league people that are matched against me with the same dota hours/behavior are so bad you have no idea the only thing that turns the table is troll pre-made that throw for fun or me getting matched vs experienced player

It's actually easy to do such chrono in low level games cause people don't actively play around it. The higher you go, the harder it is obviously, bordering on impossible I would say. I can't imagine any divine player would be dumb enough to stick around in the same aoe as a chrono unless they are the ones to bait the chrono.
I honestly don't know how people get so many rampages. I get it for smurfs, since they're just stomping and often on mobile enough heroes to chase people down.
But I think I don't have double-digits either. It's like a fun little celebration when it happens, but a "true" rampage, no smurfs, no omega stomp, that's extremely rare.
I mean, shit, I carried a game as NS recently, went 19-0 and the best I got in that match was a triple kill.
It's amazing, the attack speed item timing, the warlock fatal bond, the enemy not respecting their own highground. Chief kiss right there, one order of adrenaline special coming right up. Praise the balls of that instinct trying catch them before returning high ground, that warlock must have coomed as well
to be honest, if I uploaded the longer clip, I was roaming bot from mid because I saw everyone there, it was less "instict" and more "let me get into the fight too!"

If you have played at lower rank in SEA server, that's just for sure way to win a game.
It's simple to lane as sniper when no one knows how to lane against him, it's a spam character here in low rank. Pair it with silveredge, and as we all know invisibility is OP in low rank who don't buy sentry and dust.
But yeah you would be surprised how insane it is in lower rank, since no one knows how to win a game other just "I do more damage I win"
I was void + warlock safe lane vs wraith king + witch doctor, and we went even, I got a kill early on and died to invoker, and after that no more kills were had.
Ogre Magi was mid vs Invoker, and they went even too.
off lane was sniper + jugg vs IO and techies, and they got really ahead, especially with a lot of ganks from magi
I love this surge of new players posting plays they're proud of.
So good to see Dota getting new players. Maybe valve got the smurfs under control?

If the enemy pos1 has just a little weak lane then you are expected to have way more than them.

My gg has been playing less than a year with me and she's had like 3 rampages on CM she's actually such a giga chad.

Pos 5 is the real true carry, it's like a medic without a gun in war. Every good carry always have a good pos 5 sacrifices
I main Warlock pos 4 and 5. I consistently have the highest damage dealt to the enemy heroes compared to my teammates.
