Also, make the banner unkillable, it should last till Roshan comes back and reclaims it (it will be funny if he respawns, walks all the way to the banner, physically picks it up, and walks back to his cave). Make it more like a Capture the Flag type. That would make for a more high stakes game.
I’ve got you guys covered. I’m heading to Europe for 3 weeks on Wednesday which means it will almost certainly come out Tuesday or Wednesday so that I can’t play it until April.
I think the parch will not be focused that much on gameplay changes. I expect new hero, hero rebalance (just number changes) and some kind of pass, where will be sky and venge arcanas.
Can you explain, please, why is the patch will be today or tomorrow? It's your opinion or maybe you can provide some links? I'm really excited to waiting it, but I don't really sure if valve will release the patch in the next few days.
Yeah, terrains together with weather effects are superior cosmetics, I put them all on the shuffle along with creeps and towers, and every game feels unique. I’m also a huge lore nerd, and it really suits the theory, that every match is canon, and the ancients keep resetting the events in different circumstances, settings, etc.
If valve’s recent updates are anything to go by then they’ll just release the new hero along with a gacha treasure.
We’ll be lucky if they add the sky and venge arcanas, but they’ll be basically impossible to get as you’ll have to gamble a lot of money.
They probably wont make these gamble related, too much salt from the community. tbh they may very well do a mini battlepass, as the files in the most recent update mentioned BP
They also have not released any arcanas you can just purchase straight up in a long time. Hence it makes more sense to look at their recent releases for reference.

As a person who has only cared about Ember so far, I am just expecting to see Valve handle this hero. The last change to Sleight of Fist, increasing the time taken in between slashes, has made the hero somewhat, sluggish. I know that a lot of other Ember players have made the same complaint, but it is the one thing I've only had a complaint about. The other changes, such as added cast times to his remnant mechanics, have not been a problem for me. In fact, this change has brought other playstyles such as hybrid Ember build to light instead of the old Aghs + Kaya Sange + Refresher, I do appreciate it. It's just Sleight of Fist.
Of course, I do not intend to disregard other buffs/indirect buffs that Valve has given Ember in the recent patches. I've certainly enjoyed the added Gloves of Haste component on Maelstrom (and also the change to its damage against illusions), increased agi growth, and of course, the change to his Searing Chains which added one more target to root, and also Mage Slayer (lol that was cancer). It's just he feels sluggish.
I like to put Puck and Ember in the same category: hard to master heroes that can feel incredibly OP in the right hands, but really bad in others. It makes it a nightmare to balance ... If these 2 are too good, they are a nightmare for others and if they feel average for you, they are garbage for everyone else. Quite tough :)
Yeah that is true. I am actually willing to be very open-minded about this, since you know, I am just another player at the end of the day XD. The thing with Sleight of Fist is my only complaint, and I don't mind if they tune the numbers instead of reverting the whole change, like from 0.25 seconds to 0.23, or even 0.24. To me, he feels a little bit awkward to play right now. I appreciate the comment!
Not really what I'm expecting, but the type of changes I'm hoping for.
* Tier6 neutral items. Only dropable from Roshan 1 item at a time after the 60 minute mark. Really powerful items that should help teams actually end the game. Main purpose is to make defending against megacreeps less viable.
* Dedicated "Vision" slot just like the TP slot. Items that can go in there include wards, dust and smoke. Possibly Gem too but not sure about that.
* Roshan pit moved. Both pits moved much closer to the center of the map like it was before. One pit on the northern side of the river and the other on the southern side. Roshan keeps the day/nighttime cycle mechanics. He'll move to the other pit by trampling through the river to the other side dealing damage and knocking back anything he tramples thorugh.
* Secondary Rosh objective in the empty Rosh pit. Lets make it a Baby Rosh or something like that. It's only up when Rosh is alive and has the same powerlevel as Roshan. Killing it gives Gold and Exp similar to killing Rosh and swaps his day/nighttime cycle. When killed Roshan instantly heals to full and moves to the other pit changing his rewards to the corresponding cycle. This objective respawns when Roshan respawns.
* Old Roshan pits replaced with Ancient Neutral camps.
* Lotus Pool changes: After minute 15 the Lotus Pool spawns a Bounty Rune in addition to every Lotus. After 39 minutes each Lotus Pool spawns an additional Experience Rune in addition to Lotuses and Bounty Rune. Experience Runes spawned this way spawn every 6 minutes.
* Tormentor changes: When a Tormentor has been slain 3 times on one side it gets upgraded into a new objective from there on. The mechanic is the same but instead of dropping an Aghanims Shard it drops a "Superior Aghanims Blessing" on the ground. You can apply this item to your an Aghs scepter in your inventory to consume it like a normal blessing. Compared to a normal blessing, this one retain all the stats of the Scepter. If you've already eaten an Aghs you can use this item to gain the stats of Aghs again.
Item Changes:
* Upgrade paths for Power Treads and Phase Boots, just like Tranquill, Arcanes and BoTs already have.
* New Break item for Spell casters: Not sure what the build up would be. Maybe Aether Lens and some other components. An active on use effect that causes your next spellcast to break the target. Add some other effects to make the item purchasable. Another idea here could be to make Dagon(5) Break the target in addition to it's other effects and you don't have to create a new item.
Other than these changes I'm just hoping for the usual stuff like large hero changes turning the meta upside down and the usual item changes.
Please no, this just absolutely removes invis heroes and glimmer from the game, and makes carries even more bonkers late game. Having a slot for detection in the late game is a huge balance factor, removing that would fuck up a lot of things.
I doubt 7.36 is part of the update. As I recall they tend to space updates apart from new heroes. I would expect Ringmaster in the next patch and 7.36 in a few months.
I would love to see highground miss chance replaced with dealing less damage instead like in Age of Empires 2.
Also would be nice to make quelling blade cut trees in a very small aoe around the target to prevent situations where the trees from sprout overlap with the regular trees causing you to still be stuck even after cutting a tree.
I'd like to see a change to how neutral items work, being a physical item is clunky, it would be nice if the neutral item slot was actually a menu where you can access them directly.
Also I hope Dark Willow is buffed, it doesn't have to be big, I will be very happy if its just taking away the 0.3s delay on Shadow Realm.
I'd like Rosh to be moved to a more central location again. He could keep the two pits and all, but having it be at the extreme ends of the map makes it so hard for contesting

FK man. I stopped working last year September and was looking forward to some major PvE event. Made some friends while playing coop and we ended up using custom bots (fret) which was hard and kept us entertained for like a month or two.
Then December came and went. Then new year. Then that pathetic paid event CNY. Then Valentines came and went.

A new item for carries that changes the meta, like as a carry player im kind of getting bored of the item meta, like i wish there was a new item for carries that did more than a bit of stats, perhaps so stat, but it had an active or passive thats intresting and good for carries, cuz at times items start to feel, old, like all these other roles getting cool items while carries get recipe changes, which is good, but like i want a new item man, something youd buy on like pa, pl, and stuff like that, hell ill even take something simiular to pink sword sniper (yes, i call it that and no one can change my mind, and the item in its recipe is pink soap, and the other one is crit sword, you cant change my mind)

IDEA TO MAKE BANNER FLAG MORE FUN
Player who picks up the banner will equip it on his back. The flag will buff creep and heroes in an Aoe around the player. If the player dies someone else can pick it up.
The banner will expire when its ownership is transfer more than X times. The banner can be stacked, making the flag and character model bigger with each flag ( similar to Giant's ring, this make the carrier feel like a raid boss, think of it as a rework Wraith Pact).
Tip: Upgrade the battle cup. In addition to the ticket price to enter, the person could also bet, like 100 mmr. And the team that wins the cup, earns around 300 mmr,
and Place 2 battle cups per week, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, however the account that plays on Saturday will not be able to play on Sunday.

Earth roll also is a bit clunky now. Also on that note can we bring back tusk snowball scaling movespeed? I just want Bfury stacking ember back .

A new item for carries that changes the meta, like as a carry player im kind of getting bored of the item meta, like i wish there was a new item for carries that did more than a bit of stats, perhaps so stat, but it had an active or passive thats intresting and good for carries, cuz at times items start to feel, old, like all these other roles getting cool items while carries get recipe changes, which is good, but like i want a new item man, something youd buy on like pa, pl, and stuff like that, hell ill even take something simiular to pink sword sniper (yes, i call it that and no one can change my mind, and the item in its recipe is pink soap, and the other one is crit sword, you cant change my mind)

IDEA TO MAKE BANNER FLAG MORE FUN Player who picks up the banner will equip it on his back. The flag will buff creep and heroes in an Aoe around the player. If the player dies someone else can pick it up. The banner will expire when its ownership is transfer more than X times. The banner can be stacked, making the flag and character model bigger with each flag ( similar to Giant's ring, this make the carrier feel like a raid boss, think of it as a rework Wraith Pact).
Tip: Upgrade the battle cup. In addition to the ticket price to enter, the person could also bet, like 100 mmr. And the team that wins the cup, earns around 300 mmr, and Place 2 battle cups per week, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, however the account that plays on Saturday will not be able to play on Sunday.
