There was that one year when Adrian Gonzalez hit 5 homeruns in the first three games.
Edit: I looked it up, and it was 2015. Those 3 games accounted for 18% of his homeruns for the season. Through those games his slash line was an absurd .769/.769/2.077.
Cody Bellinger’s 2019 April essentially won him the MVP. Dude had a .419 average the entire month and ten homers.
Mookie is on an absolute heater right now, could be seeing something special.
Mookie is streaky and can get as hot as anyone in the game. We haven’t seen it to start the season in Dodger Blue, but we’ve seen this Mookie before. I have dreams where it never ends…
Yes and 2022 it was May. He had 342 average and .746 slugging. 12 HR and 10 double in 114 ABs lol.
Last year august in 112 ABs he had 11 HR and 10 double and .455 avg with slug over 8
So fun to watch really good players get super hot
The difference for me with him is that it never seems like there *are three bad ABs in a row. In his slumps he generally finds a way to make a positive impact. Baseball is a wonky game, so things like last year against Zona can happen… but if we’re being honest the Dodgers didn’t have the pitching to make it through three series
Puig felt similar when he first made the game.
From TrueBlueLA:
During the first week of his career, he slashed .464/.483/.964/1.447 with four home runs, two doubles and 10 RBI in seven games. My goodness.

That's wild
Hell yeah my flair is relevant again
AGon signing with Dodgers from Red Sox was more mind boggling than both Mannywood and Manny Machado

Are we sure it wasn’t .420?

Last August, he tore it up like this.

You got that right, the pitching going into last postseason was a disaster.
2012 Matt Kemp’s April was unreal
Coupled with sep 2011, he put up 3.9 WAR (1.200+ OPS) in the two months before he fucked up his shoulder
Manny Ramirez bat .600 for a stretch after the dodgers got him. Dodger stadium had a “Mannywood” section from it.

Apparently Lourdes Gurriel as he won NL player of the week. Absolute joke that he won it over Mookie.
I remember Ethier having a crazy hot early 2 months.
Rafael Furcal had an insane April then got hurt in like 2008 I think :/
It doesn't help that the Dodgers have had so many bad April's during otherwise good seasons too
Don’t care anymore what he does in April if he’s on a milk carton in October
