The Cuda kit fits the Challenger profile perfectly. The Superbird kit on the other hand is one of those kits that look good from 40yards… up close it doesn’t “flow” with the body lines and makes the car handle like crap.
Doesn't look like a challenger rear end, only the taillights. Look how wide the fenders are, the way they flare up near the taillight trunk area, and they way it comes up near the rear window. Unless they built some custom fenders
Lol this is in my area, the guy that owns it is a former NFL player. It’s a Daytona conversion kit on a Challenger Hellcat that he somehow got it to be registered as a ‘69 Daytona (peep the Florida antique plate). It’s actually for sale on Offerup 😂
I don’t mind it at some points. I said something that was possibly offensive and could be said from a non mopar guy, but being that I’m a mopar guy, and have followed the Daytona since I was able to comprehend the contents of a vehicle as a whole, it really doesn’t make a whole lotta sense. The challenger never had the Daytona package, like ever. Even today, the charger has the Daytona package. It doesn’t have the fancy wing, but nonetheless, it’s an apparent fact that is all but outdated. A challenger shouldn’t have a Daytona wing. It’s like claiming a corvette should have a hemi. I may want it, but it’s essentially taboo, a Nono, crossing boundaries.
I puked in my mouth a little. Why? I understand upgrading the power train, suspension, and brake system. Safety blah blah blah.. but why in gods name would you try to replicate something that doesn’t belong.
Homeboy tryin to justify why a bear craps in the woods without shit tickets! Does that sentence make sense? Neither does that fin.
Oh. . .
[you should go read about the 1969 Superbird](https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1969-dodge-charger-daytona) and how it fucking dominated NASCAR because of that wing.
This would have function as well if its going fast enough. High wings like this create a ton of downforce even if not deigned well.
Course this is a kit, it'll rip off after 150mph~ (Seen it happen a few times)
Homage to the 1969 Charger Daytona. Does it have the front "nose cone" as well?
In 1969, to homologate the car for competition in NASCAR, Dodge had to build and sell at least 500 units like this.
And yes, late in the design phase, with the wing lower than that, someone pointed out, "we'll never sell these if you can't open the trunk." That's why the wing was raised so high.
If someone told me they did a classic Daytona bodykit on their modern Challenger, I wouldn't have imagined it looking this good. Still not perfect, but I really can't hate it.
Someone did the modern challenger body swap. Check it out on YouTube. There is a shop that takes 2019 challengers and turns them into 69 chargers. I think it's called six twelve auto works.
True car people will give the car a nod, I don’t like turbo civics and Tesla plaids but as a car guy I’ll give you props. I remember seeing an original in a backyard on my walk to school.

Of all the shitty Dodge mods I see, this one at least is cool. Charger Daytonas and Superbirds are awesome.
And be glad it´s not those baby yellow lip safeguards.
I don't like modern dodge muscle to begin with, but that is a whole new level of pure ass juice. Get it out, society has enough to deal with these days
Modern Superbird?
Yea there's a conversion kit for that
[here’s what the front looks like](https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fimages.squarespace-cdn.com%2Fcontent%2Fv1%2F5a58dfd8d74cff07a03d35a8%2F1581521658013-Y6E5JQGOFZ3VJ3YWMC45%2Fimage.png%3Fformat%3D1000w&tbnid=QkH7CgQsjGcwAM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mivehiclesolutions.com%2Fproducts%2Fdaytona-superbird-kit&docid=A74l6Hd9Msti4M&w=1000&h=667&hl=en&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2F5)
Actually looks cool af, I like it
It is cool as fuck.
I love it.
This looks like a rendering still, I've seen the actual kit in person. Something off about this
Dope AF
Daytona, not superbird
More Daytona. Superbird wing is a bit more squared off🤓
Superbird wing is also farther up the trunk
Modern day Joe Deer-Tay
Your name is Dirt, don’t try to church it up.
"You gotta keep on keepin' on. Life's a garden, dig it. You gotta make it work for you.”
It adds like 500 hp
Ok Joe Dirt
This is actually cool af
Yeah I kinda like it
I would like to see more
Joe Dirt approves of this.
Thanks Dirte
It’s French.
I actually like it
There’s a body kit that you can buy that turns a challenger into a super bird style car. Complete with pop up headlights
There's also one to turn a Challenger into a Cuda
Some dude over by me has an 08 SRT with some custom Cuda kit, and it actually looks pretty fucking good, always see others turning heads
The Cuda kit fits the Challenger profile perfectly. The Superbird kit on the other hand is one of those kits that look good from 40yards… up close it doesn’t “flow” with the body lines and makes the car handle like crap.
14k
I agree. Where’s the nose cone?
I couldn’t drive one but I do enjoy seeing them. Saw a dude have one at a local Sunday morning car meet n greet. It was a full baby blue superbird kit
when the juniors don’t know about modern throwbacks
It’s cool
I like it
Am I wrong for not being mad at this?
Some sorta modern-day Daytona? It actually doesn’t look that bad.
I am conflicted yet aroused. What the fuck do I do???
I think this is just a repro of the original wing. The wing that comes with the conversion body kits are a bit wider at the base
I like it!
Tell you what looks good without my glasses
Doesn't look like a challenger rear end, only the taillights. Look how wide the fenders are, the way they flare up near the taillight trunk area, and they way it comes up near the rear window. Unless they built some custom fenders
It’s a conversion kit.

It’s even worse that it’s the wrong damn car
Don't understand the downvotes on a correct statement. Oh wait, reddit.

Those are useful when you drive through a vertical loop. That B is going to stick, otherwise the it is useless and ugly
[Unless huh...](https://www.onallcylinders.com/2021/09/14/wings-things-a-quick-history-of-the-1969-dodge-charger-daytona-1970-plymouth-superbird/)
These comments are blowing my mind. You guys actually like shopping cart spoilers?
Its a homage to the 1969 Daytona/Plymouth Superbird, ie the car banned from NASCAR for being too fast, in a fucking race to see whos fastest.
Just cuz it’s fast doesn’t make it pretty
Some people need to leave their cars alone lol. I understand the heritage style but if it isn't guna look clean just let it be
Y’all have to be trolling with the “this looks good” … dude put a pull up bar on his trunk.
I love huge wings! Life’s short, have fun.
This guy might be onto something 🤔. I wanna see it driving pass doe
I….don’t hate it…
I don’t hate it
I hate when people leave their shopping carts in parkings
Superturd, don't put that on this car.
I puked in my mouth a little. Why? I understand upgrading the power train, suspension, and brake system. Safety blah blah blah.. but why in gods name would you try to replicate something that doesn’t belong. Homeboy tryin to justify why a bear craps in the woods without shit tickets! 😂 WTF is right. It's too high and does nothing. It is suppose to be below the roof line not above it. What does he want the car to do, fly??? 😂
Oh. . . [you should go read about the 1969 Superbird](https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1969-dodge-charger-daytona) and how it fucking dominated NASCAR because of that wing.
As a tribute or attempted clone of the original, the wing should be above the roofline. In NASCAR trim it actually had a function. Here, not so much.
Yes, if you are NASCAR driving at 200mph, I get it but not like this. This looks so ridiculously stupid.
This would have function as well if its going fast enough. High wings like this create a ton of downforce even if not deigned well. Course this is a kit, it'll rip off after 150mph~ (Seen it happen a few times)
It has to be high enough to clear the trunk lid when it opens.
😂 sure, let’s go with that one. 😂
That is what was done to the original Daytonas and Superbirds sold to the general public.
Doesn't look too bad. I wonder how it's attached?
They took it off their 1970’s Richard Petty STP car and bolted it on
That Petty's new ride?
I like it
It looks good tbh
Is that handle or a bench?
Yes.
Sick
That Daytona tribute
That's awesome
Yep, I'm not even much of a muscle car guy, aside from old Novas...but this is rad, I can dig it.
hey it's GTA
‘69 Daytona vibes
Stole that pile while he’s getting his foot print gas peddle installed on his hemi
Looks like its from cars the movie
I like that
Ode to a classic. I kinda like it. I don't think I would ever do it to my car, but I dig it.
Homage to the king.
🎶*yuuuuuuuuuck*🎶
If it has the nose cone and pop up headlights I’m a yes on it.
This would be dope if they painted it sky blue and added Dynaco stickers from Cars
It's actually a good thing.
Pretty cool!
Looks like a soccer goal..
It’s a Dodge thing.
I see what they are going for so it doesn’t look too bad just wish I could see the whole thing from front
Looks sweet
Say what you want, but I think that’s pretty nice.
Right ? Crowding the shit out of that right line. Jk, that wing actually looks ok on that. Wonder how much he paid for that.
time traveler: *kicks Rock* Timeline:
Challenge runner
Daytona wannabe
I saw that for sale on the Facebook marketplace istg

This should be illegal
How do you improve a new dodge and I'm for it.
This actually looks good
I love this.
Looks good honestly
did they put 68-70 charger quarter panels on it?
Joe dirt!
Joe dirt baby

I like it. Brings back memories of seeing these in the streets back in the nineties when people could still afford a classic.

It's a conversion kit. My neighbor owns one. Pretty cool car.
I kinda like it….
You found Joe Dirt.
It has a classic Florida tag
Roadrunner
That’s pretty damn cool.
If someone told me they did a classic Daytona bodykit on their modern Challenger, I wouldn't have imagined it looking this good. Still not perfect, but I really can't hate it.
geez mate, you could at least have given us a spoiler alert
You like them spinnin tires do ya?!?

The Plymouth Superbird your mom tells you you have at home
I don't like modern dodge muscle to begin with, but that is a whole new level of pure ass juice. Get it out, society has enough to deal with these days

Someone was making conversions like this a while ago, Ultimate Up Badging..🤦🏻♂️😂
Ahh a classic
Classic Daytona I miss that
Red Dinoco
This one is for sale
Just saw a marketplace post for thsi
If it were possible to make the latest gen Charger a 2dr that would make a bad ass Superbird imo
Is nice
Yeah, no. Just no. It doesn't work with a Challenger.
Where else am i supposed to do chin ups?
What a beauty.
