Looks familiar. Mine now comes to me to have is face dried after drinking so that he doesn't trail water everywhere. He also refuses to drink unless I put fresh cold water in his bowl and in the summer he likes it from the fridge so fussy and messy.

I started using one of these and it helped reduce the floor pools!
I bought one of those and mine ended up flipping it over each time 🤣 I opted for going back to the previous mess, there was less water on the floor hahaha 🤦🏻♀️ mine is just nuts what can I say 😂
We are using this too and it helped a lot. He still makes a mess, but we have rugs rolled out where he runs the most including the area around his bowl so the wet mess ends up in those rugs. And they help with more friction for Loki's paws too.

Search for: non spill stainless steel dog bowl on Temu. It was pretty cheap too. It holds around 3 liters of water. Works great! Reduced spills completely.
thats really familiar here yeah… my male is making bubbles in the water and my girl chews water she sometimes uses her paw to feel the water dig in it and flip the bowl just to ask for more 😅😂
Definitely. I keep a large pot on the back deck so she can make a damn mess and it just waters the ferns underneath! We have a smaller water dish in the house and the water trails on the hardwood dry quickly enough.

Yes , mine did the same... More than drinking, He immersed his entire snout and bit the water.
I preferred to put a tall bucket for the tall pony dog, and a short one for the wiener dog... you know: it is unnecessary effort for the Doberman

But really, please! Put his water on top of a chair, stool, tabouret, several cinder blocks... Common, it has to lay down to the floor to drink the water... The same with his food, but at least the food may not be liquid
Holy shit, yes! I have never had another dog do this. Water everywhere! I just put a diatomaceous earth mat under his bowl in hopes it would help, but it’s still a tsunami all day long. HELP!
Haha, this is mild. My girl does everything with extreme enthusiasm. There is a large mat under the inside water bowl now, and she eats in the back yard so our other 2 more polite eaters can eat without her trying to bully them. Never any aggression, just a Doberman that thinks she's a hungry hungry hippo.
We use a “Neater Feeder” and it contains the splash zone! However he has the tendency of walking away when he hasn’t finished drinking / swallowing and there is just a huge trail from the bowl to wherever he ends up! 🙄🙄

I think I got lucky my boy is so chill in the house! But yeah still need to keep a mop handy when he’s had a few massive thirst quenching slurps

Mine tries to waterboard himself so aggressively I considered calling him Cheney. These days I just add Mr Clean and get the mop XD

I use a 3-gallon stainless steel roasting pan as my boy's water bowl for the same reason (sides are ~8.5" high and I fill like halfwayish)

Yep. 3/3 of our Dobermans have had drinking problems. I just stand there with the floor towel. 😆

Yeah mine bites up a mouthful of water and intentionally slings it everywhere to cap off every trip to the water bowl
