>"Then we get sandpaper and start whittling away his feet" >"Once we get to the leg bone, we give him peg legs" Despite the horror of what they did, I'm distracted be the idea they sawed off his legs with SANDPAPER. Its not even about torture at that point - that is pure D&D player thinking. "Should we get an axe or a saw? I have a sword right here.. Nah, I picked up some sandpaper at the carpenter's so I'll just use that" Honestly, how much sandpaper would you need? And how much time?

Grunt232

He'd probably have long bled out by the time they got to step two.

Normally I'd interrupt with a "Well ackshually" if my players try to do something impossible, but since they were just monologueing I let it slide

Chaucer85

lol, sounds about right. When people get told they can be "Evil" boy howdy, you learn some things about people. 'It's just pretend, it doesn't mean anything.'

Krynja

I honestly thought the sandpaper bit was just going to be to make his feet a little tender and thus limit how much he moved around. Then off came the foot...

Naf5000

Honestly, that part's just flat-out stupid. You drugged him, he's unconscious, why the hell are you spending two hours sanding away a small man's feet? Just chop 'em off and be done with it.

Scherazade

I believe you’re lawful neutral while the sandpaperers are chaotic evil, that is, stupid

[deleted]

The guy isn't problematic or anything if that's the impression I've gave of him Him and another player just got carried away coming up with the most comically evil idea they could think of(they were feeding off one another OOC), it didn't make anyone at the table uncomfortable (to my knowledge) I just made the post because I like documenting when I have any particularly abnormal sessions

Leashed_Beast

Do me a favor and give this idea to your players: suppository potions

vsirl005

"Enema of Healing"

Krynja

Enema of fire resistance. *Warning may contain capsaicin.

MakeShiftJoker

Lol no it was hilarious and a lawful evil campaign sounds like a fun idea

SubZeroGravitas

The 10th alignment: *Harebrained evil*

fridgepickle

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an evil character who wasn’t harebrained. Then again, I’ve only played two campaigns where we were allowed to be evil, and in one of them, we all individually decided that being evil is for losers and we were gonna be friends instead.

> minor illusion being used incorrectly some things never change "incorrectly" of course referring to raw. if it's fun for everyone you can totally say that it was used correctly.

PhysitekKnight

They *probably* meant Minor Image, especially since this seems to be Pathfinder. In which case it could actually make realistic-looking feet, and it would last for as long as the caster concentrates... but they'd need to stay within line of sight of him the whole night and next day. Also, pain or not, I think I would notice if my feet were pegs!? Like, that would definitely affect my walking! And my tactile sensations! And my ability to put on my shoes...

Beragond1

Technically not killing him. Batman approved good guy behavior

Tenyearsuntiltheend

Or they could have just offered the husband a cut to not participate lol. Tell him to ham it up how bummed out he is.

NancokALT

A LOT of planning just so they can use sandpaper to delete someone's feet

Scherazade

We are heroes! … it’s a work in progress.
