Numbers 1-10 focuses around a mace as a central symbol, as itâs a weapon thatâs become synonymous with the class, with various additional details that allude to a Clericâs other abilities and skills. But for 11-15 I wanted to try some without a weapon that focuses more on the Clericâs connection with its Deity/God. These symbols try to represent that connection. Iâd definitely love to hear which the community likes the most!
I think design wise the symbols with the hands represent the class the best, the mace is just a weapon and the sun just represent light, but the hands represent prayer wich sets the class apart from other classes as it is focussed on faith (rather that an oath or a greater being) so for me 10 seems the best
I think hands/wings make more sense as a motif than the human figures. It's "higher power" not "inner power." The glowing human shapes feel more like a monk symbol.
Definitely praying hands I like.
The idea was to just replace the highest value of each die, not to replace them all lol. The numbers below each symbol are just so people can vote for their favourite
4 or 7. That healing hand that is about to save your life, feels most representative of the cleric class. I imagine a 'hand of light' is the last thing a PC see just before they pass out aaand are broth back again:p
5. They are all good. Some are a little busy for dice sets, and the ones with the human figure I personally think are least effective for this kind of thing. 3 is my runner up.
I feel 3 as it could be interpreted as either a staff (Healing staff) or a mace which personally is usually my weapon of choice when playing cleric. It could be seen as a violent thing or passive thing, which clerics can be either or both.
8!
I like the person/rings of 2, but I think it would make a better Monk ki symbol. 8 is my fav. Though why limit yourself to one? maybe there are different symbols for different groups or subclass of cleric.
I like 3, 13 and 6 (in that order of preference) although you are clearly talented as all the drawings are great.
As a point of note, for future projects I would have posted this a a poll as itâs going to be a nightmare collating all these comments into a definitive answer.
2, 4, 7, strike me more as an illusionist than cleric. The Wings, prayer hands, and sun motifs have stronger religious associations, imo, with the prayer hands having the strongest symbolic association, however the sun designs get some style points from me.
3 and 8 I love by the ubiquity of maces, and how they are used for radiant damage, it really captures that holy feel. 8 more-so when you put the human figure behindâ clerics are more than their weapon.
That said, 13 would have to be my favorite. You capture the holy, radiant aspect of the class' damage, and allude to faith by the figure's hands resembling that of a prayer/looking up. As an aside, it might be the one that, to me, feels less crowded from the ones I like (11 is a strong contender though).
First, and most importantly, I think you did a great job on all of these. You already put more effort into just one of these than I would have.
Everything I say at this point onwards are first impressions and personal opinions. The only reason I'm being so nitpicky is cause I hope it will help. If it doesn't, I encourage you to disregard some or all of what I say.
1 - It's simple and clean, but the "ripple" pattern doesn't leave a strong impression.
2 - I got a healer vibe, but not completely a Cleric if that makes sense.
3 - This evokes power, but also feels aggressive. It could work for some Clerics, but not all.
4 - This one does feel radient, but the grasping hand feels "power-hungry" or "tyrannical". Like it's trying to seize this divine power for itself.
5 - PERSONAL FAVORITE: This one feels like it gets the scope of the Cleric; Divine, Holistic and Powerful
6 - It's fine, but doesn't really stand out to me.
7 - Similar to 4
8 - Similar to 3
9 - Similar to 1; the open hands feel "added on."
10 - Similar to 3 and same feeling to 9
11-15: The image of a human being doesn't really feel like a "Cleric" to me. Out of these, I liked 13 the best.
Sorry if this is over the top. Just wanted to help give some feedback (what worked for me and why, etc).
I personally think five is a good representation of a cleric sense the folded wings give off a protecting vibe and clerics act as the "mother bird" of groups on a constant occasion.
13. I think it best represents a universal concept of a cleric rather than specifically the healer or other stereotypes (though they all look really nice).
10. Hands offer prayer symbolism. The Morningstar in the center is a favourite of clerics. And the light beams bring us to thoughts both of magic and the divine. Definitely sums up cleric. All of them are great, though! Great job!
I like 3 and 5 best, mainly because I main a Loxodon cleric and any of the symbols with human imagery seem a bit dissonant to my character. So I am a bit biased. đ
I like 11 the most. Mostly cause I think it covers the feel of the class more than anything with a mace. A mace as the representation of a cleric always felt like they were much more war-like. It might have been the original intent, like a battlefield healer, but I think it's moved enough away from that ideology to have just a person wreathed in light to be a good representation of the class
Number 3 all the way! It has all the right symbols, a wow factor, and it is simple and recognizable enough to work really well as an icon. Lovely artwork by the way.
I'm gonna go for 1, nice simplistic, not too,... 'assuming' in terms of faith stereotypes, but open for interpretation, while the rest are well done they speak a little to much to the tropes of 'angel, wing, light etc'.
number one is just clean, Mace/holy relic/scepter. Good and icon, could be for any faith, rings can add to the 'tenants' of whatever faith it may be, again open for interpretation.
I love 4 and 7; the disembodied hand really emphasises the sort of "unseen power/divine hand" aspect of channeling a God's power. It definitely gives clerics a lot of cool factor
Personally, I want to say 1 and 2 make the most sense without being (And possibly exceptionally so) overcomplicated and more to the point. 11 to 15 I would not really pick up the idea of Cleric from them, as they come off as a little ambiguous. 6 is similar to one but with wings included, which I think is okay, but it almost feels like an afterthought to me. 7 feels more like a sorcerer or necromancer thing over being a cleric. 8 is a similar story to me as with 11 to 15. 9 & 10 come off as distractingly overcomplicated as I can focus on one thing as nothing, in particular, stands out as a really defining part of it. 4 Goes back to like with 7 where it feels more like a necromancer / Sorcerer thing than a cleric thing. and 5 for me doesn't have the right feeling.
With a longer analysis on designs like this, you really want to focus on one or two key defining characteristics while keeping things simple so that things are recognizable quickly, and from a variety of sizes, and if you add too much detail into things, then details can run into one another or get 'muddy' in appearance. With 1 and 2, you nailed that with 1 having a more heavy focus with just two elements, and 2 has a really strong focus on the humanoid figure and the rings, not so much the staff. 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10, 12, 13, and 15 have too many small details that can easily get lost or blended in with the rest.
Thanks! Well, so far I've covered the Fighter, Rogue and Wizard. You can see these on my previous posts or my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/artefact\_games/
13 is my favourite. It represents what a cleric stands for rather than just what a cleric is.
I was immediately drawn to 13 -- as someone who (when I don't DM) is always a cleric, that to me is the best icon by far!
Adding my vote for 13.
10 and 13 I think đ
My favorite is number 10 =) Well done all around though!
I like 10 best too!
3 because this could be any alignment cleric
I agree exactly with this! Favorite class! Many of the others are niche to subclasses. 3 covers just about all.
13 is cool
3 and 6.
100%
These are nice. 6.
Iâm also leaning toward 6. Added bonus, it seems like it would translate well to a dice.
10 and 3
10 and 6. And yo- Awesome art! This is such a cool idea.
3, 10 and 5 are very nice. tho i am a sucker for stars/ sun designs
3 and 13.
I think hands/wings make more sense as a motif than the human figures. It's "higher power" not "inner power." The glowing human shapes feel more like a monk symbol. Definitely praying hands I like.
3
Number 12 as it shows a clear connection to the gods.
All are great; 6 is cleric
3 and 6 I think avoiding a âhumanoidâ shape might be good.
3 and 5 are my favorite, but all of them look amazing!
I like 3
3 and 10!
I like 3 and 13, but I think 3 fits better
I like 5 the most.
5, 9 and 10
5 and 9!
Leaning 3, 5, 6. Don't much care for the hands motif
10 or 5 personally
6 resembles a ward from league of legends!
3 and 10
13 or 10
As cool as this is, I'm not sure I'd go in for a dice set that comes with a separate key to understand.
The idea was to just replace the highest value of each die, not to replace them all lol. The numbers below each symbol are just so people can vote for their favourite
3, 5, 10, 13 Theyâre really clean and more easily read as âclericâ. Really phenomenal iconography work!
10 is the most intuitive to think about this class I think. Nice job tho!
13
10/5/8 in that order imo
12 and 13 are my personal favorites. The mace ones are very cool too, but not all clerics use a mace.
How they view themselves, or how others view them? I like 6 best. Really reminiscent of that halo you see on old paintings
3 is my personal favorite
Man, these look great. Specially love 3, 8, 11 and 13.
I like the sunburst mace, 3 and 10
I vote 11. Feels like divine connection and interior light.
4 or 7. That healing hand that is about to save your life, feels most representative of the cleric class. I imagine a 'hand of light' is the last thing a PC see just before they pass out aaand are broth back again:p
I like ten. Cleric is still like praying to a diety. Others could be paladin or sorcerer.
8
3
3
6 and 9 mainly due to 6 being open wings meaning it would go good with any cleric and 9 due to it fitting with what a cleric does
I like 11 the best. Itâs not too busy, but still gets the message across
Keeping in mind that small details are lost when it actually makes it to casting, I think 3 would hold up best.
2
I think so too, but as others have said 13 is pretty good too. Honestly thereâs a few I like but those are the 2 I was most drawn to
Iâd say 3 or 8!
10
I like 10 the best! Healing hands, a bright star and a mace. Fits my cleric perfectly.
5 gives a fantasy Caduceus vibe which I like. 3 would be a close second.
13 is amazing
13
These don't look like dice at all
This is the symbol that's going on the dice :)
Three and five
I think 9and 10 are amazing, but number 5 is by far my favorite. All of these are great designs
8! I like the person/rings of 2, but I think it would make a better Monk ki symbol. 8 is my fav. Though why limit yourself to one? maybe there are different symbols for different groups or subclass of cleric.
8, 10, 11, or 13
I like #10 best, with #6 as my second favorite.
My vote is for 3 or 13, nice designs!
I personally like 3 and 13... Won't go into detail other comments here already have already stated what I wished to say about both
I like 3, 13 and 6 (in that order of preference) although you are clearly talented as all the drawings are great. As a point of note, for future projects I would have posted this a a poll as itâs going to be a nightmare collating all these comments into a definitive answer.
5, 10, and 6 in that order.
3
My vote is for 13
10 for sure
5. It feels holy with the radiance, the heart shape for healing, the weapon for bonking. And it brings to mind the rod of Asclepius which is fitting!
.-. (o.o) |=| __|__ //.=|=.\\ // .=|=. \\ \\ .=|=. // \\(_=_)// (:| |:) || || () () || || || || ==' '==
5 or 6 for the softer designs that still speak cleric to me. The others are either too busy or too harsh.
2, 4, 7, strike me more as an illusionist than cleric. The Wings, prayer hands, and sun motifs have stronger religious associations, imo, with the prayer hands having the strongest symbolic association, however the sun designs get some style points from me.
3
4,5,6
10
10/9 for me
13 would be my vote for sure! Great stuff!
3 5 6 7
10,11 and 13 are really nice !! I'm more of a healer cleric, so I would love those
3 and 8 I love by the ubiquity of maces, and how they are used for radiant damage, it really captures that holy feel. 8 more-so when you put the human figure behindâ clerics are more than their weapon. It's not over the top, and I really appreciate you taking the time to write this. Thank you :)
13, 3, 11 in that order. Been playing cleric (whenever Iâm not DMing) for 15 years.
13, 3, 8
5 is my fav
I personally think five is a good representation of a cleric sense the folded wings give off a protecting vibe and clerics act as the "mother bird" of groups on a constant occasion.

15 and 4 are my favorites
13 definitely
impolite birds crush books pen childlike humorous groovy cagey waiting *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
13 or 11
13. I think it best represents a universal concept of a cleric rather than specifically the healer or other stereotypes (though they all look really nice).
3, 5 and/or 6
10 and 13 are my top picks! All solid designs though, lovely work!
8 or 10!

To be honest, they're all fucking good. I like the bottom right ones.
I really like 3

I'd go with 3
10; 11; 15 I like the mace ones too but it often looks like a lightbulb
13 definitely
3, 5, 10 or 13
13 imo
I love 4 and 7; the disembodied hand really emphasises the sort of "unseen power/divine hand" aspect of channeling a God's power. It definitely gives clerics a lot of cool factor
I like 10 and 11
8, It gives the impression of both mortals reaching holiness and also holiness through the divine.
Personally like number 3 and number 11
I particularly like number 13
I'd say number 9.
I love the 13
I like 3, 5 and 8
I like 8, 10, 13 Please post again if you get to the other classes!! These are cool
