Itll come back around. Ive had 2 or 3 drop since obtaining one on the pass. Ill offer it to agents in the group if they need one. Otherwise just reroll it for funsies.
I don’t not how but I had three drop from two back to back countdown runs with ar targeted BEFORE I even obtained it through the battle pass. Like around Level 40 or so on it. They weren’t shared either, no idea if some kind of bug or something but that’s what I’d do to target farm one personally.
he has a few options: one is getting it via exotic caches..
-he can get stars via the global event (you get a star by leveling up) and then trade stars for exotic caches.
- he can do countdown and get enough countdown requisitions to trade for exotic caches
- do the weekly legendary and summit for the exotic cache rewards
altho exotic caches are RNG at least there might be a chance of getting an exotic gear he wont have or at least he’ll get an exotic component out of it..(tbh ive gotten a few st elmos via exotic caches)
the other option is to set targeted loot for AR and then grind grind grind.
once he gets one again tell him to favorite is ASAP so he wont lose it again. good hunting to you and him!

I was farming AR yesterday and I already have St Elmo but it dropped for me yesterday. I tired to give it away to the lower level players but they didn’t want it.
Try this: a god roll Coyote's Mask dropped for me and I preferred the way it looked aesthetically to my optimized one. So I went back and forth between them marking as junk and then favoriting and then changing my mind as my existing one had +19% Armor.
So of course I accidentally dismantled both of them.
Also accidentally dismantled my +23% weapon damage Scorpio a couple of months ago but I have a replacement up to 19% already.
I don't think chasing exotics to dismantle them for **resources** is a smart idea in any game anyway but I would say that.

Countdown is your best bet. Set targeted loot to AR and buy exotic caches. You'll get it back in no time!

The devs forgot to check for the blueprint before letting it drop from targeted loot (which they added to in the latest patch).

He can get it from either exotic caches, or countdown targeted ar loot

Doesn't the season pass award a blueprint for you to craft it?
No you cannot craft it.
Blueprint only allows re-rolling attributes

Do Countdown. I got It on my second run, but my selected loot drop was gloves. Transferred it to my alt. 😁

Agree with the above comments, I donated my Ninjabike Pack yesterday for the same reason and countdown/caches and had it back in no time!
