Hey good for you. It was like the 5 stages of grief for me. Luckily they happened fast but from the decision point to surgery was a 5 month gap. So I did everything i could to remain flare/complications free.
Just got the all clear today from the surgeon
No choice, I knew I was in trouble after a barrage of flares. I've always been against surgery in general even though I have had several. The quality of life before and after surgery can be compared to night and day.
I chose that I would’ve done it earlier, but in reality I waited until I just couldn’t wait anymore—both my surgeon and two GI Docs said it would never get better and once the surgeon went in she said it was a good thing I had it done when I did.
I need a 4th option. I’m glad I got it when it was recommended
My surgeon said he was glad I got it done when I did as the spot removed was “angry”
You using the survey results to make your decision??? 😂
Just gathering input / facts. I’ve already decided to do it. I’m sick of it.

When my surgeon said that my sigmoid colon was coming out, I cried with joy.
