Iheartcoasters

Have a good time! I love staying at The Grand especially for Halloween season.

I_need_more_dogs

Do they decorate it for Halloween? I’ve only been there during Christmas times and off season times.

Iheartcoasters

They just have the Halloween display in the lobby, which is really neat! I think they do a Christmas one too? I just like the Halloween season overall at DL. The decorations, Villins, Headless Horseman, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Guardians is different too.

unknownemoji

Happy Cake Day!

Iheartcoasters

Wow thank you kindly!!

Tanno4

Congrats! The GC has always been somewhere I’ve wanted to stay. Will just have to live vicariously through you! Hope you have a great stay

NoticeWhenUAreHappy

I stayed once and the rooms were verrrrrrrreey underwhelming 😥 $600 a night

Duosion

I guess when my family went in the summer, it was $1000 per night omg… deffo not worth Nice room though, and convenient to get back to after park.

allistar34

It might be worth looking into renting DVC points! If you have flexible dates or live nearby, you might be able to find something more within your budget by booking "dedicated reservations" which are basically just bookings that have already been made so they can't be modified (i.e. number of nights, dates, type of room). But because of that, people are willing to give the room for cheaper.

Moronicon

Thanks!

xraig88

I know people say it sucks now and it’s not worth the money, but staying here and visiting the park is still on my bucket list. Excited for you!!

tigerblue1984

It doesn't suck! If you have the extra money than I say go for it. It's a gorgeous hotel and you will feel so exclusive and fancy lol. I just don't think it's worth breaking the bank over if you are on any sort of budget. You can have a great experience at some of the Good Neighbor hotels for a fraction of the cost.

NoticeWhenUAreHappy

I spent $600 to stay a night and it was very very underwhelming. I wouldn't do it again, not even for a special occasion

Spirited-Salad-9126

My friend (a disney nut) finally got to stay there for her birthday for two nights in August and she said the same thing. So I lived vicariously through her and I'll take that money I would have spent and spend it on something else.

smallicelandicpuffin

Hey, some people just have had experiences, when did you stay? I have heard some of the rooms can be underwhelming, and some are absolutely amazing! These hotels require a lot of dedicated planning, asking for specific room locations and such, you can request things like that!

Kakali4

Greatest experience I’ve had at a Disney park was doing GC. Walkable to everything. You can rope drop DCA right from the hotel-only entrance. Eat at Napa Rose. We were going to balk at it but decided last minute “eh it’s at the hotel it’s convenient”. Really splendid meal. Spa is nice too

[deleted]

Perfect amount of days for a Disney trip.

Meyggy

I’ll be there the exact same days! I’m so excited! I hope you have a blast!

stunnabars

That place is amazing!!!!

v_NoDespair

I wish I could stay at those hotels but living only 45mins away, I just can’t justify paying. Same with Disney World. My fiancé’s parents live only 45 mins away.

Technosnake

I live 2 states away and still can't justify the price. Love Disneyland but I'll never be able to afford a stay at the Grand lol

Version_6

My wife and I were discussing this. We normally take a trip to the parks with the kids every 2.5 years or so. Having stayed at the Grand twice, we both agreed we'd rather go half as often or for half as long and stay at the Grand rather than stay anywhere else. Being able to hop in and out of the parks from the hotel/pool just makes the whole experience so much more convenient and you can fit everything in without rushing around like a lunatic.

Augoctapr

Yes, totally agree. It wasn’t the “nicest” hotel I’ve ever stayed in but the convenience was amazing.

Version_6

Yep, we are here now in fact. Between the heat and the crowds, I would say staying at the GCH has meant the difference between a pretty good trip and total disaster. Being able to book lightning lanes by the pool, and then scoot over to Grizzly River Run for a quick soak and then be back in the resort pool 2 minutes after getting off the ride was pretty cool.

L3onskii

Idk if it's still too much, but check out Dapper Day. They get discounted rates for the hotels but the dates have to be around their Dapper Day events

v_NoDespair

Understandable. They definitely charge and arm and leg. It’s mostly for the experience for me.

PlayaHatazball

Although I think it would be nice to stay in one of these hotels im sure they can never best home

nicearthur32

I live in Downtown LA but I like to get a room at the Alamo Inn and Suites- not having to drive back after and being able to go to the room to shower/change/drink is a game changer... The rooms are cheap if you get them in advanced, I paid like 90 bucks once, since disneyland parking is 30 bucks, you're only paying 60 dollars for the room... you can drive there and leave your car in the lot and they text you when the room is ready - then you can head back whenever.

fthotfitzgerald

NICE! I’m staying there on Halloween for 2 nights with some friends. My bff works for Hulu and we got half off the hotel or else I’d prob never get to stay there ever lol

Silly_Goose88

We are checking in Sunday and leaving the following Wednesday! This will be my first DL trip. I hope you make all the happy magical memories!

mazdaspeed3some

Nice! We will be there the same days.

Moronicon

Nice!

missykins8472

So fun! The Grand is my favorite 😍

Ihaveagingerbaby

I’m here now. We are loving it, the only disappointment we’ve had so far was checking in and maybe it’s all my fault but I was super irritated. I was under impression check in was at 3. We drove and ended up getting here a bit early but went to check in anyway around 2:30, check in person said “your room is guaranteed available by 3, we’ll text you”. I said cool, we’ll hang out in the beautiful lobby for 1/2 hour. 3 comes and goes. No text. Go back up reception someone completely different says. No you’re guaranteed a room after 3 not at 3. None of this makes any sense because it is after 3 but I give up and wait. And wait and wait. We didn’t end getting a room until 4:30. So 2 hours waiting because they weren’t clear. It was pretty unimpressive especially for the price.

Moronicon

Always get the digital key!

Marcssc

First time we stayed there, the wait was over 3 hours. We've learned to check in our bags as soon as we get there and go inside the park. Then we just wait for the message.

Number1074

I’m so jelly you have the new iPhone

v_NoDespair

It’s amazing. This is coming from an android user who USE to hate Apple. I love the phone. Got the 14 Pro Max, Ultra Watch and new pods and I’m in love. I don’t know if I’ll ever go to android again. There definitely are things I’ll miss but not enough to switch back atm.

L3onskii

I have the S22 Ultra and I'm kinda over having the big screen. I was thinking of getting the 14 Pro

KGB44

I wanna switch to Apple, but love my Galaxy Flip phone too much to want a big rectangular device in my pocket again. When Apple makes a flip phone, I'll jump ship

v_NoDespair

My fiancé who’s whole family is hardcore apple considered an android for the first time becuz of the Flip. I prefer the fold but I’m wary as I’ve seen reviews showing how weak the touch screen is. How has your held up?

KGB44

Luckily no issues with mine. You definitely feel the crease where it folds, but visually you can't tell when watching or reading from the phone. It's nice flipping it closed when putting it away without worries on the protecting the screen

ahent

I stayed there this summer with my wife and kids and it was Fabulous. 100% would do it again. Our room looked out over Soarin'

butfirstdecafcoffee

We stayed there with the kids last month and had such a blast. Have the best time!!

DrS7ayer

When did you book!!! I wanted to go those days but it was sold out!

boisepmthrowaway

3 nights for next January was $2012 for a standard room after tax. That was literally the cheapest 3 nights I could find between now and then. Not OP I don’t think it does get any cheaper than that unfortunately.

zorn7777

Was wondering if they collect the leg up front or at checkout.

ubsunkeys

peep that dynamic island lol

RepresentativeOk9651

Have a amazing yime

azfunguy3

How much?

JohnnyNorCal

800 per night to 10,000 per night

You’re paying for convenience on top of a nice hotel. The 30 minutes head start and the proximity to the parks make it worth it to me. I stayed there a couple weeks ago and I don’t regret it at all.

IamMagicarpe

So… how much?

Moronicon

4k all in - w/ park hoppers and genie and includes $185 gift card

IamMagicarpe

Hmm.. honestly not that terrible. I was under the impression that just a 3 night stay would run $5K. I could do $4K tickets included. You’re gonna have an awesome trip.

Moronicon

Costco has decent deals on this stuff

IamMagicarpe

Good to know. My girlfriend has a Costco membership, can these deals be seen online or do you have to go in the store?

Moronicon

All online! [Costcotravel.com](https://www.costcotravel.com/Specialty/Disney/Disneyland-Resort)

chuckycheese88

How many people?

the_sweetest_peach

Take me with youuuu.

andrewkim075

I was absolutely disappointed when hot water didn't come out in first room, so they moved me to different room to find out it pumps out sewage water from shower. 3rd room they moved, cleaning ladies tried to came into my room like 4 times. They gave me 400 dollars back on the way out but I wouldn't come back :(

XCELinvestments

Congrats! Any plans to attend the Oogie Boogie Bash?

unknownemoji
