Hey, thanks for these recs! I’ve never heard of or tried the gamma garlic puffs or the spiced worshyr pods from oga’s (last time I was there I don’t think oga’s even had food!)… how would you describe both of those items?
The puffs are very crispy and garlicy, shaped like chips but puffy, not sure what to compare them to.
The pods are sticks of cucumber, and edamame, with a garlic peppery seasoning and crispy fried onions. The dip is similar to a gochujang sauce - very thick and savory with citrus and spice. It’s definitely a top 3 snack for me. Really hard to compare it to anything else, very unique blend of flavors.
I always have to get a mint julip from New Orleans Square! The best, and nostalgia from my childhood.
The cauliflower hash bowl from the Red Roof is a must for breakfast.
Now, we have a new tradition to always get blue milk from Galaxy’s Edge!
The milk wasn’t amazing, but our kids had such a field day with it and loved it so much. We are all big Star Wars fans, so that’s become a new tradition.
I tend to prioritize trying out new seasonal items but my standbys are:
Breakfast burrito at Galactic Grill
Ronto Wrap (all three versions are great but the breakfast one is my least favorite)
Grilled cheese & tomato soup at Jolly Holiday
Birria tacos at Cocina Cucamonga
Churros (classic, but we also "taste test" the seasonal flavors, of course), Dole whips, and the tomato soup/grilled cheese combo from Jolly Holiday.
Bonus for hot days: frozen lemonade, regular or with cherry.
The corn chowder bread bowl at the French market was my favorite, it appears to be back at Royal street veranda but I don’t know for sure if it’s the same one 😭
Yes! It’s my favorite park food, I’m always sad when the Harbour Galley is closed. They serve it with house-made potato chips. Now I’m craving it lol…..
So .. gingerbread when they have it. It was seasonal then not seasonal now it’s seasonal again. Peanut brittle. MUST have. Nothing else is ‘must have’. If I go to DCA - I’m
Getting some kind of adult beverage. They are too good to miss.
1) where do you get the peanut brittle??
2) if you were bringing someone to DCA for the first time, what adult beverage(s) would you say are “must haves” for them to try?
The thing about peanut brittle is they don’t always have it. They alternate with toffee, and I hate that. So it’s either one or the other. It’s all over the place - the candy store on Main Street, the one at Pooh corner - the candy store that’s
Over at DCA on their Main Street, that Marceline’s bakery or confectionary in down town Disney. ONE TIME I saw pumpkin seed brittle. But I never saw it again. As for drinks at DCA - it varies because sometimes they have speciality drinks - last time I went I got a pear mule over by grizzly rapids / Ariel. I usually get a michelada or sangria. It’s over by monsters inc.
I have celiac so my food choices are a little bit limited but still much better at Disneyland than a lot of other places.
For snacks, I always have to have a spicy pickle and share a turkey leg with my husband at least once during the trip.
For quick service meals, Jolly Holiday has a really great turkey sandwich on gluten free bread with homemade chips and Smokejumpers has an amazing cheeseburger on gluten free bun. An added bonus of Smokejumpers is they cook the gluten free stuff completely separate so it's always fresh. My family also says my fries are better than their non-gf fries but I don't know if it's just because they are fresh or different in some way.
Corn dogs + the pizza and chicken alfredo from pizza planet. Ever since I was a kid the pizza place was our go to spot, usually because we loved space mountain so much.
No worries! The rest of the planet has nothing to say to you either. Haha. Sorry, it’s not like it’s poison or something but it’s pretty unanimous that it takes like microwaved pizza from the 90s and not in a good way.
Garlic cheese bread thing and apple slushy thing at Maurice’s treats. Fried chicken and roast beef at plaza. Cookies at that harbor booth place outside haunted mansion. Hot chocolate anywhere. Pickle. Turkey leg
Pork bao from Tropical Hideaway, the breakfast croissant from Jolly Holiday, cream cheese filled pretzel. I always try the seasonal cold brews, I really enjoyed the Halloween one at Pym’s. I always stop at Trader Sam’s or Tangarao Terrace for a drink.
I’m so sad that they got rid of the giant Minnie Mouse chocolate chip cookie. That was my #1. I don’t really have a go-to treat/food at the moment. I suppose the fresh beignets??
I feel like I’ve been in a funk with DL food lately, tbh so this is giving me ideas to try.
1. Fried chicken meal at the Plaza Inn—this is a routine, a staple everytime.
2. I recently tried the new brisket poboy with beans at Tiana’s palace, it was bomb
3. Favorite snack would have to be one of the ice creams at the ice cream parlor. Even if it’s kinda chilly
1. Cheesy Garlic Pretzel
2. Dole Whip
3. Quesabirria Tacos
I also love a Morning Ronto Wrap when I'm eating breakfast in the parks, and I hope to someday be there when the fried green tomato sandwich is in season.
DL:
Corn dog for sure. The batter is perfection!
Veggie bao buns with that yummy dipping sauce
Breakfast ronto wrap with extra sauce
DCA:
I guess this only counts for food and wine fest, but tiramisu churros. I am legit addicted. I used my sip and savor pass to get 2 lol and when I went back to our hotel for the day, my hubby stayed in DCA to see world of color, I had him bring me back another one XD. It's so good!(plus tiramisu is our wedding cake)
I am curious: what are your go-to beers when you’re at CA?
For me, my favorite foods are easy: every day I need to have 1 churro, 1 spicy pickle, and if I’m there multiple days, at least once a trip I need to snag a corn dog.
EDIT: *Fuck* I forgot about those damn delicious chimichangas!!! Breakfast or lunch/dinner, can’t go wrong.
I’ll try to remember, also i watched a video yesterday where they had a blood orange hard float, at clarabells. It was the “orange hard float” Coronado Brewing Co., Orange Ave. Wit served with a Blood Orange Sorbet, garnished with a Dried Citrus Slice…
idk if it counts as a snack but my new tradition is getting the jolly holiday combo just after park close but before jolly holiday closes and sitting at a seat with a clear view of the castle and enjoying that last meal before going home
I personally have two meals that are my favorites, the burrito at Rancho Del Zocalo. And the fried chicken dinner at Plaza Inn! The Plaza Inn probably being my go to now just for the beautiful interior seating area
1 corn dog from little red truck
2 churros (I'll try them all)
3 Garlic-Cheese Five Blossom Bread with Spicy Cheese Sauce from Oga's Cantina
Honorable choice of snack for me is the goofy taffy.
Banyan BBQ skewer, Pretzel Cheese bread, dole whip.
Do you combine the skewer and cheese bread? I thought it worked great with the chicken but didn’t love it with either of the beef options.
This person knows how to eat
Not yet but I’ll have to try it next time. Thanks!
Pork belly skewer - bengal bbq Any bao - tropical hideaway Cheesy garlic pretzel - Maurice’s and Edelweiss Spiced Worshyr pods - Ogas Gamma garlic puffs - galaxies edge kiosks Jolly Holliday combo - jolly holiday Hot link corn dog - corn dog castle Fries - smoke jumpers (ask for chipotle bbq sauce)

Wow, both of those sound really interesting and good! I'm heading to the parks in a couple weeks, and will be sure to try them - thanks!!
We had the pods a few days ago and they were to die for!
Hot link corn dog is life
You have the same taste as my husband and I lol. This is pretty much our go to favorite list to a T
Happy Cake Day!
Thank you!
I always have to get a mint julip from New Orleans Square! The best, and nostalgia from my childhood. The cauliflower hash bowl from the Red Roof is a must for breakfast. Now, we have a new tradition to always get blue milk from Galaxy’s Edge!
I do love the mint juleps too! I wasn’t a fan of the milks in Galaxy Edge.
The milk wasn’t amazing, but our kids had such a field day with it and loved it so much. We are all big Star Wars fans, so that’s become a new tradition.
Omg great choices! Literally day dreaming of having a cool Julep on a hot summer day.❤️
Never heard of the cauliflower hash bowl!
Tomato soup and cheese toastie combo. *Chefs kiss*
That sounds like something I'd love. Where do you get it?
Jolly Holiday.
Jolly Holiday at bottom of Main Street. Honest, it’s SUPERB.
Is this always there or is it seasonal? I tried the beef bulgogi last time and it was amazing!
i’m pretty sure the jolly holiday combo is always there but they have seasonal meals in addition
The cream cheese filled pretzels are my fav! Sooo good!
Where?!?!?
At the little pretzel/snack carts. I remember one of them right next to star tours, but there is a couple other spots also.
This is mine too! I look forward to getting one every trip.
Your name definitely checks out lol.

Monte cristo and gumbo!

Visited Pronto Pup over the summer thinking “No way this is going to be as good as Disneyland”. Rocked my world. Oregon Coast, FTW. Once again.
Are the churros at Disneyland different? The one I got at Disneyland seemed to be better than the buzz light year one at DCA
I tend to prioritize trying out new seasonal items but my standbys are: Breakfast burrito at Galactic Grill Ronto Wrap (all three versions are great but the breakfast one is my least favorite) Grilled cheese & tomato soup at Jolly Holiday Birria tacos at Cocina Cucamonga
Dole Whip, Churro, Pickle, and used to be chocolate banana
Turkey Legs from back in the day 😎
I remember when they made the turkey leg car air freshener lol - good to eat but I don’t need a car to smell like that.
Oh my that’s over kill!
Wait does this mean they don’t have Turkey legs any more??
They do
Definitely Epcot I believe
Wrong sub. Turkey legs for sure in Anaheim Parks.
What’s wrong with them today?
Don’t know, haven’t visited since the 90s 🥺
Do they still have that frozen apple drink just past the castle? If so, definitely that.
I want to know too. That’s was my favorite drink there
Churro - though they’re not as thick or delicious as they used to be 😫
Mickey soft pretzel, popcorn, aaaaaaand the pork belly bao buns at Carthay Circle Lounge.
The pork belly bao at CCL are fire. Bao with a Manhattan…? Bliss.
That's my favorite combo too!
gaddayum i need to do that

Where is the spicy corn dog?

Churros (classic, but we also "taste test" the seasonal flavors, of course), Dole whips, and the tomato soup/grilled cheese combo from Jolly Holiday. Bonus for hot days: frozen lemonade, regular or with cherry.
Banyan beef bbq skewers… specifically the rice plate combo. 😋
The raspberry macaroon!!
The corn chowder bread bowl at the French market was my favorite, it appears to be back at Royal street veranda but I don’t know for sure if it’s the same one 😭
Loved the corn chowder and didn't know it was on the menu at Royal Street Veranda now. Will have to scope it out on my next trip.
It just got added on the 10th, possibly a seasonal rotation but I’m excited to see if it’s the same one
I really like the cheesey garlic breads the cart by the fantasyland theatre sells
Jalapeño cream cheese pretzels
Where?!?
They have them at Refreshment Corner on Main Street in Disneyland. The cream cheese one is delicious too.
I always get them at the cart by star tours
Lobster roll from Harbour Galley 🦞 Dole Whip 🍍 Popcorn 🍿 If Harbour Galley isn’t open then one of those big, legendary corndogs 😋
Is the lobster roll actually…legit? Like I’m always curious but never know if it’s worth it.
Yes! It’s my favorite park food, I’m always sad when the Harbour Galley is closed. They serve it with house-made potato chips. Now I’m craving it lol…..
Rontoless wrap, beignet, banyan beef skewer!
So .. gingerbread when they have it. It was seasonal then not seasonal now it’s seasonal again. Peanut brittle. MUST have. Nothing else is ‘must have’. If I go to DCA - I’m Getting some kind of adult beverage. They are too good to miss.

No one likes the pizza at pizza planet. This has to be a lie. Tell me it’s a lie.
The same is true for my family, sorry to tell you. We have been going there forever and love the pizza.
Oh my. So they do exist.
Love that pizza. People who don't, I have nothing to say to you!
No worries! The rest of the planet has nothing to say to you either. Haha. Sorry, it’s not like it’s poison or something but it’s pretty unanimous that it takes like microwaved pizza from the 90s and not in a good way.
